From this publication you will receive practical advice on how to heal with the help of St. Charbel and see how the Holy Hermit Monk helped to anneal the scum from a person.
In the temple of St. Maroun in Lebanon, not far from the ancient city of the world - Byblos, the miraculous relics of St. Charbel rest.
Many years ago Saint Charbel came into my life. At that time, I was already practicing healing and providing assistance in various situations.
How do the Saints come? This can be compared to how a thought appears in your head. You seem to walk around with a request, with some kind of need, and then suddenly the thought begins to grow like a tree...
I looked through and studied the faces of the Saints, read about them on one church portal, when suddenly my attention focused on one elder. He was different from everyone else in that he was “alive”... and somehow unusual... Imagine my surprise when I didn’t see his eyes anywhere in the photos and images of St. Charbel - they were modestly lowered down. But what energy, kindness and great human love comes from him!
It was a discovery and a find that changed a lot in my life, and then in the lives of the people around me.
Charbel - Strength and Healing, a faithful helper and protector, a kind and modest old man who always helps when you turn to him.
No matter how much I read about him, my admiration knows no bounds: how many people he helped! Many books have been written about Saint Charbel, and anyone who wants can read them online.
In short, people who come to the incorruptible relics of Saint Charbel are healed on the spot. Next to the relics in the monastery there is a room where there are crutches and strollers, with the help of which the sick got to Charbel and left healthy, leaving the means of transportation as unnecessary.

Practical advice:
print out the image of St. Charbel in a photo studio. You can put it in a frame, or you can apply it to the place of healing, put it on your head, and ask for help.
My mother had insomnia for some time, there was a fear that she would die, some kind of incomprehensible psychosomatics - with Charbel all this gave way to calmness and normalization of life processes. Sometimes an elderly person needs to communicate with someone and lacks energy - this old man provided great help in my absence, and gave support and energy to my mother, and now continues to help, and my mother is well over 80 years old.
Who is Charbel
The Catholic monk Charbel (Makhlouf) (1828-1898) came from a poor Lebanese family. At baptism he was given the name Joseph (Yusef). When the boy was not even 3 years old, his father died. Joseph was raised by his uncle. From childhood, the boy dreamed of dedicating his life to God and entering a monastery. But the family was against this decision. Joseph, the future Saint Charbel, was able to leave his home only at the age of 23.
The young man went to the monastery of St. Maron, where he took monastic vows with the name Charbel. He had an ascetic lifestyle and worked hard. In 1859 he was ordained to the priesthood. Charbel spent the last 23 years of his life in solitude, prayed a lot, observed strict fasting, and wore chains. At this time, through his prayers, miracles of healing allegedly began to occur. He died in 1898, the day before the Nativity of Christ.
The most famous image of Charbel (Makhlouf)
Eyewitnesses noticed a glow at Charbel's grave. Pilgrims flocking to Charbel’s resting place noted cases of healing from various diseases. For these reasons, the coffin was opened, and the monk’s body turned out to be incorrupt.
The decision to beatify him in the Catholic Church was made in 1965. Canonization, that is, canonization, was carried out in 1977 by Pope Paul VI.
A little history
Charbel came from a small Lebanese family. From early childhood he possessed the gift of healing. Thanks to his abilities, the Saint could heal even seriously ill people. In addition, Charbel had a unique gift for learning about death from a distance. After graduating from the seminary and becoming a priest, he led a fairly large number of people to faith.
In adulthood, the saint decided to lead the life of a hermit. It should be noted that some time after his death, Saint Charbel became popular among Orthodox Christians thanks to his healing prayer.
Attitude of the Orthodox Church
Many people are interested in the question: is Saint Charbel Orthodox or not? Monk Charbel is a follower of the Maronite Church, which belongs to the Eastern Catholic Church. Maronites mainly live in Lebanon, Syria and Cyprus. They are not in liturgical communion with the Russian Orthodox Church.
After 1054, when Christianity was divided into the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, ascetics recognized as saints by the Catholic Church are not recognized by the Orthodox Church and vice versa. This does not mean that the Church denies the very fact of their ascetic life. But he cannot recognize them as saints for the reason that the Orthodox Church has not conducted any research into miracles and other aspects of life. This also applies to monk Charbel, who is not Orthodox.
Archimandrite Job (Gumerov) writes: “Monk Charbel Makhlouf (1828-1898) belonged to the Maronite community, which has been in formal communion with the Roman Church since the 12th century. He spent 25 years completely alone. He worked in the garden and vineyard. He led an ascetic lifestyle. The Orthodox Church, before glorifying anyone, creates an authoritative commission and carefully examines life and posthumous miracles. Since Monk Charbel Makhlouf belongs to the Catholics, we cannot decide the question of his holiness. Ecumenical Orthodoxy has a whole host of saints, among whom there are great healers and miracle workers. Therefore, you need to contact them. An Orthodox believer should not pray to Monk Charbel.”
Texts of prayers for nine days (preparatory and for nine days)
It is advisable to contact Charbel with the words of specially written prayers. The text can be learned by heart or read from a piece of paper. The main thing is not to twist the words and not add unnecessary things.
Before reading the prayer texts of the 9-day cycle, you need to read a preparatory prayer.
At the very beginning, the believer must ask the Savior for permission for the Most Holy Charbel to help him recover and save his soul from the devil’s wiles.
After the preparatory words, one of the prayer texts of the 9-day cycle is read. For nine days, the believer regularly begs Charbel to intercede for him before the Lord and fulfill his request (to grant recovery or salvation from enemies). While reading the prayer text, the Christian asks for forgiveness for sins and promises God not to sin again.

Phenomenon and miracles
The holy man began his amazing path as a righteous man during his lifetime. He was a prophet and predicted places where the image of the Virgin Mary or the death of a person might appear. Joseph, as he was called before becoming a monk, wrote a lot on divine topics. His work had a philosophical direction , he talked a lot about God, the Most Holy Theotokos and wrote down the prophecies that were revealed to him. In his works, he grieved and was indignant about hypocrisy, betrayal, temptations and the sinfulness of human nature.
The elder gained his fame thanks to the miracles that he performed during his life and even after his death. His exceptionality was expressed by a soft glow after he died. A fragrant aroma emanated from the body, it exuded myrrh and had a glow. This phenomenon struck a lot of believers, monks and clergy. Neither scientists nor doctors could explain this mysterious phenomenon, and it still remains unexplored.
Believers constantly write letters to the monastery where the saint rests when they cannot come themselves. In them they send photographs of themselves, which they attach to the relics of the righteous, and soon people recover. The Lebanese center keeps records of all healings, and these lists are constantly updated and expanded.
