Which icons to light candles for health and healing, texts of prayers

Miraculous healing icons and prayers save lives and help overcome illnesses.

And there is a lot of evidence of the manifestation of healing divine power that descends from heaven to relieve the suffering of those who pray.

They often come to church in moments of complete despair, when doctors do not give good prognoses for future healing. But you need to pray every day, and the Lord will not allow a believer to experience suffering if his faith is sincere.

Only healing icons and healing prayers turn into helpers only when the person praying changes his worldview and desires to atone for his sins. Do not allow negative emotions, envy, evil into your soul - protect yourself from the influence of unclean forces.

Treatment with prayers and icons.

An icon is a conductor, a connecting link between the human world and the Divine world. And the older the image, the energetically stronger it is. His mighty wave of holiness and faith radiates light.

The holy image helps to achieve joy, harmony, balance. And, most importantly, the holy faces grant long-awaited salvation from diseases that prevent one from living normally.

To heal the suffering, the priest takes an icon of the saint in his left hand. With his right hand he touches the patient. Next, the servant of the Lord pronounces prayer words. During the sacred action, there should be no one around - even those closest to you must leave the room. Only healing images on the table and faith are needed in this magical moment.

Why does prayer to the saints heal?

Appealing to the saints helps, since they were people just like us. They lived on earth. And they always helped those who needed it. Their holiness was proven during their lifetime. These people never refused support.

And when someone came to them for advice, the saints gave invaluable recommendations. Thanks to their tireless work, the prayers of ordinary people reached the Creator.

The saints always spoke about the correct reading of the prayer and about preliminary preparation for this:

-A person suffering from an illness must be confessed, so take him to church to the Holy Father. If the patient cannot move independently, invite a priest to your home.

-Proper nutrition, namely lean food, should be on the table. The body and, most importantly, the soul will be cleansed of everything evil and harmful.

-Repeat prayer texts as often as possible - daily, hourly, every minute.

-The more people pray to the Lord for the salvation of a sick person, the sooner recovery will come.

-And the most important point that the saints mention is – believe in health!

Healing prayers for all diseases.

Can healing prayers empower a believer to fight and overcome illness? Absolutely yes. The answer is clear.

A petition to the Lord or Saint changes a person’s worldview and fills the heart with warmth. And when love reigns in the soul, no troubles are scary - and evil recedes, it has no right to change anything.

When you put your soul into a prayer text, your appeal flies to heaven and does not encounter obstacles on its way.

Prayer to the Lord God for healing:

The Creator hears all speeches addressed to him. And when the person praying says them with faith in his soul, with hope for the support of heaven, he will definitely receive everything he asks for.

The prayer for healing is especially strong: no matter where it is spoken, its energy is very powerful. And within church walls, and in your familiar home environment, and even in public transport (mentally), you can conduct a dialogue with God. Do not doubt his help - and the Lord will extend his mighty hand to you.

When a loved one is sick, our hearts are not in the right place. It is very difficult to bear watching your baby or loved one lie in bed completely exhausted. Your prayer will open the gates of heaven and your soulmate will recover:

Prayer to the Mother of God for healing.

It is especially painful when the disease harms children. A mother's heart does not find peace, because babies do not deserve to suffer. Our Lady intercedes for every child. She knows how to ask our Creator for the desired deliverance from illness.

The misfortune that has overtaken you will recede if you turn your prayers for healing to the Virgin Mary:

Do not forget to glorify the merits of the Mother of God, thank her - the help of Saint Mary is priceless for all humanity.

Prayer to the Queen of All for healing:

The All-Tsarina is addressed while standing in front of the image - on her knees or simply bowing her head. Do not expect complete relief from your illness after your first conversation with the Holy Virgin. Your road will be thorny and difficult, but it will definitely lead you to your dream.

Pray to the All-Tsarina both in the temple and at home. A holy image can be purchased in a church and hung near the bed of a sufferer, so that its power will always support the sick person. And this will allow you to mentally turn to the face at any moment.

The sacred text goes like this:

The Mother of God is especially favorable to a cancer patient - multiple examples of complete healing from a fatal disease prove the powerful power of the image.

Prayer before the icon of the Mother of God “Blessed Sky”

Prayer before the icon of the Mother of God “Quench my sorrows”

Prayer to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker for healing.

The miracles performed by Saint Nicholas are known to everyone. All prayers for healing addressed to him are aimed at protection and strengthening. There is no need to pray loudly - the saint hears your requests, even if spoken in a whisper. Keep only faith and love in your soul.

Repeat three times near the image of the Wonderworker:

How to pray in front of an icon

At the dawn of Christianity, an angel revealed to one monk how to offer prayers correctly:

  1. Before we begin, we must thank the Lord.
  2. Clear your thoughts and soul from envy and ill will.
  3. Turn to the holy image.

During prayer, the sign of the cross is placed at the beginning, during and at the end of the reading. A candle is lit from a living fire: a lamp or a burning candle.

Prayer to Saint Matrona of Moscow for health and healing.

There are legends about Matrona. People remember her miraculous powers, because, while still a little girl, she helped those suffering from various ailments. The weak turned to her. And not only did the illnesses recede - Matrona also provided spiritual support and morally strengthened the spirit of people.

Numerous crowds always stood near her house, and no one left without the advice of the great woman.

As she lay on her deathbed, and her last breaths lifted her chest, Matrona said: “Always tell me about your problems, and I will answer. I will stand before God and ask for everyone.”

Tell Matronushka what’s on your heart, about your worries and experiences. And then say the sacred words:

Question answer

Blessed Matrona of Moscow

The candle for health has gone out - what awaits a person?

Nothing bad will happen. Light it again. The Church does not recognize superstition. A candle goes out for various reasons. Perhaps low-quality wax was used or the manufacturing technology was not followed. Damage is out of the question.

What does it mean - the candle has fallen?

Perhaps you did not secure the candle in the socket on the candlestick. Scorch the bottom end with fire and place it again. Don't believe in superstitions and everything will be fine.

But if you performed magical actions, perhaps out of ignorance, then you took upon yourself a great sin. You must immediately confess and deeply repent.

Prayer to Saint Luke of Crimea for healing and recovery.

The Crimean healer devoted all the years of his life to serving people. He tirelessly helped those in need. At critical moments they call on him and ask:

  • about getting rid of all sorts of ailments - physical and spiritual;
  • about the recovery of young children;
  • about the successful course of pregnancy;
  • about healing from cancer.

Chapter 21. Miracles from St. icons after the 7th Ecumenical Council

In St. Petersburg in 1858, in the apartment of Marya Denisova Vostokova, miracles began to occur from a copy of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God. Seeing a large crowd of people, increasing every day, Vostokova asked the clergy of the Nativity Church on Peski to move this icon to the designated church. It, by the permission of Metropolitan Gregory, was transferred to that church on March 2, 1859, and on March 5, by order of the same Metropolitan, it was transferred to St. Isaac's Cathedral. Healings from the icon continued here too. Particularly striking was the healing of the maiden Catherine Levesta, which took place in 1860. The daughter of collegiate adviser Doctor of Medicine Yuri Matveevich Levestam, a Protestant by faith, was born in Moscow in 1844. From birth she was in poor health; At the age of 16, due to various illnesses, she had to leave the Gatchina boarding school in which she was brought up, and was placed in the infirmary of the Gatchina Orphan Institute. Here the spasms that were with her intensified and developed, the left leg became paralyzed, a severe migraine and signs of Witt’s dance appeared; in February 1860, stone disease appeared; the stones were separated with terrible pain; during seizures, which occurred 2 to 4 times or more per day, the patient was thrown upward by one and a half arshins and to the side by several arshins (up to six). Since August 1859, every day at 10 o'clock in the evening she became unconscious: she screamed, rushed about, and in this state could walk quite quickly. I came to the image of St. St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, who stood 2 rooms away from her bed, knelt in front of him and prayed for about ten minutes. It happened that she immediately fell to the floor and regained consciousness. In the room where she lay, there was hung an image of the Tikhvin Mother of God, in front of which she often prayed. The matron of the infirmary, Marya Nikolaevna Shakhovskaya, at the first appearance of religious feeling in the patient, when the girl Levestam was on her knees and bowed to the ground, read her an akathist to the Mother of God and a prayer to St. from a book. Nikolai, which the patient, having heard once, internalized in her memory and almost every time during seizures she recited them by heart, unmistakably. The maiden Levesta, being of the Protestant confession, of her own inclination, turned with prayer to Orthodox icons, correctly depicted the sign of the cross on herself and made bows from the waist and to the ground; upon moving to the infirmary, she observed fasts; on Wednesdays and Fridays she did not eat fasting food the entire year; several times she invited the Gatchina priest and served prayer services to the Mother of God of Tikhvin and St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. But the illnesses intensified and she was transported to St. Petersburg on September 17, 1860 to the hospital of St. Olga, near the Smolny Monastery. The seizures intensified here too; it happened that the patient’s body was bent backwards in the form of a wheel, so that the back of her head touched the heels, or the body was bent forward, and then the head was placed between the knees; There were two nurses and an experienced paramedic with the patient and all anticonvulsants were used, but the disease ran its course.

Around October 9th, more spasms appeared in the throat, so that the patient could not take any food for 12 days, was constantly in Witt’s dance, in convulsions and spasms, on October 18th an old man appeared to her in a dream and said: “Get up and go to St. Isaac's Cathedral, there is a miraculous icon of the Tikhvin Mother of God, serve her a prayer service and light candles for Her, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and the image of all saints, and when leaving the church satisfy all the poor; hurry up, hurry up and you will be healed.” After internal hesitation, she informed those around her about the dream and immediately felt some relief. Her brother, the collegiate secretary Levestam, a Protestant, promised to send a carriage the next day to take her to St. Isaac's Cathedral. Meanwhile, on the 19th, the same old man appeared to her and ordered her to hurry and fulfill what was said to her. On the same day, the authorities allowed her to travel in a carriage sent from her brother, along with two nurses and a paramedic. The brother sent the carriage only at the great insistence of the patient and other people. On the way to the cathedral she had two seizures so strong that they could hardly hold her; Almost in the arms of those accompanying her, she was carried into the church.

Upon arrival at the cathedral, the patient did not remember what happened to her during the move; she did not even realize how she was introduced into the cathedral. This was before Vespers, during which she regained consciousness and sat, supported by nurses. At the end of Vespers, she herself, through the watchman, asked the priest to serve a prayer service. During the prayer service I stood with the help of nurses. She prayed fervently and made prostrations to the ground with faith and trust in the mercy of God and the intercession of the Queen of Heaven. While reading the Gospel over her bowed head, she felt as if someone had doused her with the coldest water from head to toe, and at that time she felt, in her own words, a kind of trembling in all her limbs. At the end of the prayer service, when the priest blessed her with St. cross, she had already decided, feeling the strength, to take a step forward. Having done it without difficulty, she approached the priest and venerated the cross, then approached the image of the Tikhvin Mother of God, as if healthy, without any obstacle. She venerated the miraculous icon, she felt strengthened in her strength and walked away from the image completely healthy. Venerating to all the local icons in the church with prostrations, she gave alms to all the beggars who were in the church and went out through the western doors of the cathedral, walked almost around it and walked on foot to the military ministry located near the house, where she got into a carriage and ordered to be taken to her sister , who lived in Olkhina’s house, near the Kazansky Bridge.

When her sister saw her, she was so surprised that, according to her, she would rather believe if they said that the house in which she lived had collapsed than to see her sister healthy. After a short meeting with her sister, she returned to St. Olga at 9 pm and herself entered the 4th floor, into her room. The sick, knowing that she had gone to fulfill a wonderful dream, eagerly awaited her return and, seeing her healthy, offered fervent prayers to the Queen of Heaven, who heals mental infirmities and physical illnesses. After this, she remained in the hospital for several weeks, visited the hospital Orthodox Church and returned to her family completely healthy. We have greatly shortened the story of this miracle. A full description of the illnesses and healing of the maiden Levesta is attached to the legend of the miraculously revealed Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God (1864 edition). It was compiled on the basis of notes from doctors who treated the patient, on the basis of two letters from the girl herself to the Levestes about her miraculous healing, and on the basis of testimonies from people who came into contact with the patient, who confirmed the story with their signature.

After reading the note about Levestam’s illness and healing, her brother casually wrote: “Having read the history of the illness, treatment and healing of my sister Catherine Levestam, having been the closest witness to everything, I consider it necessary to add that her illness was much stronger and the moment of healing was much more miraculous than said in the description... After the dreams set out in the description, I did not want to give the carriage to my sister, because I sincerely did not believe that her prayer in St. Isaac's Cathedral in front of the icon of the Mother of God could produce such a change as actually happened from that, and her position was so difficult that it seemed risky to me to take her out of the room; she could die on the way, and then all responsibility to my family and friends fell on me... Saving my sister from death and delivering her from illness is truly a supernatural event and a special law of God’s mercy. Her main illness: Witt's dance, writhing, throwing up and to the side, stones and bleeding from the larynx completely disappeared and did not recur after her visit to St. Isaac's Cathedral. Knowing exactly the history of the case, I am not surprised that the rumor about the healing spread not only throughout Russia, but even from abroad, from Rome, they asked me about the details of the illness and recovery - I answered in the affirmative, in accordance with this description.”

In 1861, two healings took place through prayers to the Gerbovetsky Icon of the Mother of God (in the Gerbovetsky Monastery in the Bessarabia region), described by Archbishop Anatoly (formerly of Mogilev), who lived in that monastery in retirement, and published in the magazine “The Wanderer” (1866, March) .

Prayer to Saint Panteleimon the Healer for healing and recovery.

At all times, in difficult moments of their lives, people called on Panteleimon, the great servant of the Lord. During his lifetime, the healer showed a special attitude towards all those who mourn, those in need and those asking for help. He had unique abilities that repeatedly returned people who were seemingly unable to recover to normal life.

And these days the saint comes to the rescue. He hears all prayers and answers them. All requests raised to him with true faith bring the desired result. Here is a prayer for healing - one of the most powerful:

Rules of behavior in the temple

A candle is a symbol of love for the Lord, the Mother of God, a voluntary sacrifice to the Almighty, our readiness to obey and follow God’s commandments. The Holy Fire is a visible sign of the expression of our sincere love and faith in the one for whom it is intended. This is our hope for God's help.

When going to church, you need to dress very modestly: women should cover their shoulders, chest, legs, cover their heads, and be without makeup; men should wear a shirt, trousers, and no headdress.

What candles should I put? Buy a candle in a shop at any price, even an inexpensive one, it will please the Lord.

How many candles should I buy? Quantity is not limited. It is advisable to light the sacred fire after each prayer.

Prayer to Archangel Raphael for healing.

The world is divided into several levels. And we exist on all these levels - in a kind of hierarchical reality. Angels heal a person's life at every stage of development. Archangel Raphael first directs his forces to restore the thinnest layer, then moves further and further. And ultimately, he achieves the physical embodiment of the personality, contributing to the return of its integrity.

Archangel heals:

  • physical body;
  • the cause of the disease;
  • the whole life path;
  • spiritual component.

And after recovery, a person always continues to feel good. The great prayer for healing, reaching the Archangel, will grant you good health:

Is it possible to light a candle for the health of your enemies?

The answer to this question can be obtained by opening chapter 5 of the Gospel of Matthew. There, in verse 44, the commandment of the Lord is set out, in which He commands us to love our enemies and pray for those who offend us. Only such all-encompassing love will help people become true sons of the Heavenly Father, who commands the sun to equally send its rays to all people - both good and evil.

These words of the Savior are one of the expressions of the greatest humanity inherent in Christianity and not known to any other religion in the world. Accordingly, the candle lit for the health of the enemy is our fulfillment of God’s commandment.

Prayer for healing the soul and mental illness.

This prayer helps with ailments that affect the soul and psyche of a person. It is very effective for depression, nervous disorders, unreasonable fears, and suicidal tendencies.

You should read it every day, sincerely appealing to heaven:

When a person is overcome by demons, and demonic entities completely take control of his mind, the sacred text will come to the rescue:
