Studio apartments from a Feng Shui point of view
In modern times, a huge number of studio apartments are offered - as the most modern way of organizing space.
Moreover, many people purposefully remove walls to make their home more spacious.
Unfortunately, at this moment, in terms of energies, they are removing something else.
In itself, a separate living space is much better than nothing (that is, than huddling with relatives). But studios present a very big challenge primarily for creating and maintaining relationships.
In the “common” space (without compression), the energies of Yin and Yang are mixed, and the roles of men and women are also mixed. Depending on other factors, the roles can either be reversed or leveled out to the point where people live together as neighbors, solving life’s problems. But the passion goes away, and misunderstandings, claims, and quarrels inevitably begin.
Thus, it’s not bad to live in a studio, for example, devoting all your energy to paying off the mortgage: nothing like passion distracts you. But you shouldn’t expect any supernatural results either.
In the long term, this is usually loneliness. Sooner or later. If a single person moves in, the likelihood of creating a relationship decreases significantly. If you are a couple, the likelihood of a breakup also increases many times over. An excellent solution for a bachelor's den, but not for family living. And especially the harmony in it.
It is much worse if the studio apartment also requires a full-fledged work area: be prepared that there will only be enough energy for one thing: either for your personal life or for the results of your activities. Either Yin or Yang.
Fortunately, there is a solution - the space can be properly zoned. The best thing, of course, is real walls. But various kinds of partitions also work. And when it is carried out, people may not recognize their relationship in just a couple of weeks. I have already seen and done this in practice.
At a minimum, there must be one room - a bedroom. Separate room with a door. This will already start the distribution of energies, and the situation with Yin Yang will be corrected.
Another consequence of living in a studio apartment is that finding a relationship (if desired) becomes extremely difficult. It's all about this mixing of Yang and Yin again. In my practice, there are many cases when people could not create a relationship for years, and only moving or zoning solved the problem literally in a matter of weeks.
In general, if we talk about favorable housing from the point of view of Feng Shui, then studio apartments are unlikely to make it onto this list.
It is especially regrettable that now you can often find apartments of a fairly large area, 60, and even 120-130 sq.m., in which the walls have been specially removed and there is not a single door based on fashion trends. It’s a different matter, of course, when the apartment is small, and extra walls help you live in a much more spacious room. But the result will be the same - as described above.
Therefore, you should think a lot before moving yourself into an open space, or emptying the apartment of all doors except the bathroom. In this case, no matter how you activate the relationship, there may be no result, since the block occurs at the level of forms.
Business Features
The shops
I would like to recall one story about the owner of a chain of stores from Hong Kong. Once he was considering buying a new store premises. Before the purchase, the old owners told him that all the previous owners of this store had gone bankrupt. Hearing this, the businessman decided to consult a Feng Shui master and make his business according to Feng Shui. He determined that all the troubles came from the incorrect location of the cash register, too large windows and a sloping ceiling. During the renovation, the cash register was installed in such a way that the seller could see all visitors, decorating the windows, they were visually reduced, and a large amount of light was directed onto the sloping ceiling and green plants were installed, activating the qi energy there. After these changes, this store began to prosper.
Currently, the services of Feng Shui masters have become popular not only in Asia, but also in the USA. In the east, it has become fashionable to make small altars with images of Chinese gods, personifying prosperity and wealth. In our area you can see small iconostases and an open Bible. The management of such enterprises believes that such innovations contribute to a favorable environment in the team.
When designing a Feng Shui store, remember that the seller should always be able to see the entrance. The area for goods should be in a ratio of approximately 5:1 to the area allocated for workers. If the store has several floors, then it is desirable that the others are visible from one floor. The staircase to the upper floors does not need to be located opposite the entrance.
It is best to place the cash register near the entrance. But in jewelry stores this is dangerous, so it is recommended to place it further from the entrance, but the cash register must be turned towards the front door.
Living plants create a good atmosphere and energy. They create a “spring” interior and stimulate qi energy. Feng Shui advice gives a special place to such a business feature as music. Silence, like loud music, has a detrimental effect on Feng Shui business, while quiet, melodic music, on the contrary, is conducive to shopping. Aquariums with fish or small fountains will be useful; in Feng Shui, water symbolizes money and helps to increase it.
In accordance with Feng Shui advice, clothing and shoe stores should have separate sections for children's, women's and men's products. The product must be clearly visible. Shelves with goods should be inclined at an angle of 5 degrees, and mirrors at an angle of 25 degrees. And cash registers and fitting rooms should be located in the most favorable areas.
Cafes and restaurants
In both the East and West, restaurateurs use Feng Shui advice. These tips have a beneficial effect on culinary and financial aspects.
Much of the success of the restaurant business depends on the chefs. Therefore, special attention should be paid to energy in the kitchen. If the energy flows smoothly, then the mood of the cooks will be good, which will favorably affect the quality of the food, and this will certainly affect the mood of the waiters and visitors, and only then will the feng shui of the restaurant be achieved.
An important factor influencing the mood of visitors is the interior of the hall. For example, if the furniture has sharp corners, then the feng shui of the restaurant will be spoiled. Such an environment will have an unfavorable effect on visitors, and they may experience headaches. You can reduce the negative impact with the help of mirrors and climbing flowers, masking the corners with them. Or change it to furniture with rounded shapes.
For the free flow of qi, the passages between tables must be made wide. The exit from the kitchen to the living room is spacious. The kitchen should not be far from the hall, but the smells from it should not penetrate into the hall. The route to the toilet should be clearly laid out, but not intrusive. The doors to the toilet themselves should be invisible from the hall. From the waiter's position, all tables and the front door should be visible.
Understanding that the interior of a restaurant influences the business within it, all restaurant owners in Hong Kong prefer to use red and gold colors. You can often see golden hieroglyphs decorating red walls or golden images of Taoist gods. Rooms are also often decorated with flowers that symbolize peace, prosperity and longevity. Aquariums with live fish are considered an integral attribute of oriental restaurants; they activate qi and help increase finances.
Service locations
When developing beauty salons, special attention should be paid to external advertising. The main thing is that they do not hurt the eyes and are pleasant and attractive. The reception area of such an establishment should be well lit, this will allow visitors to feel more comfortable. But workers and visitors should be protected from the blinding sun. The visitor must feel comfortable, for this, first of all, the chair must be comfortable. Decorating with living plants will add coziness and will not confine visitors.

Positive attitude
You've probably been familiar with the trick since childhood - if you're in a bad mood, it's better not to even start cooking food, the risk that the dish will burn or not cook through, be too salty or bitter... in general, tasteless. Surprisingly, this sign is consistent with the basic rule of Feng Shui: you need to cook with your soul! Remember: food absorbs our emotions, that is, our energy, and then returns them to us and those we feed. When cooking, focus only on your taste sensations. Thinking about the future of enjoying delicious food will help you feel positive.
It is the kitchen that is the energy center of the apartment - the energies of all the elements are concentrated here: Earth, Water, Metal, Wood and Fire. Their interaction should be harmonious. Avoid the accumulation of all-metal work surfaces in your kitchen, give preference to natural materials.
Typically, food is not only prepared, but also stored in the kitchen, and here it is also important to find a balance with the elements. It is best to store food in earthen storage containers (glass, clay, ceramic, porcelain dishes). Fire storage facilities (plastic, aluminum, steel containers) are best avoided - their heavy energy is concentrated in a closed space and transferred to the products. But wood storage (wooden boxes, dishes) are well suited for bakery products. Pro-bread experts say bread provides the carbohydrates our bodies need. If you go on a diet and exclude bread, such food will only harm you. After all, carbohydrates help our body function properly, and replacing them with something is not so easy.
Anti-bread experts say not all carbohydrates are created equal. The carbohydrates contained in white bread are digested much faster and then enter the bloodstream as sugar. By increasing insulin levels, white bread does not contribute to long-term satiety and energy boost.
All this suggests that during a diet you don’t have to give up bread, but you should give preference to black bread rather than white. Black bread will provide your body with energy and the carbohydrates necessary for the body to function.
It is better to keep vegetables and fruits not in the refrigerator, but on the floor (especially if there are ceramic tiles in the kitchen).
Each product contains two principles - yin and yang. When you are sick, tired or depressed, use foods in which yang predominates: animal products, eggs, above-ground vegetables, fruits, ginger, garlic, dark rice. If you can’t relax, suffer from insomnia or anxiety, yin foods will help: root vegetables, white rice, steamed dishes. Fish carries a balance of two principles, so dishes made from it will be useful in any case.
