Bolsheviks blew up the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow

Why did they blow up and why did they restore the Cathedral of Christ the Savior?

We have already written about the creation and significance of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior as a national historical temple-monument of the Patriotic War of 1812.

After the October Revolution and the beginning of the persecution of the Church, the temple was transferred by the Bolsheviks to the jurisdiction of the renovationist “Higher Church Administration” of Metropolitan Antonin, and subsequently the renovationist “Holy Synod” - until the closure of the temple in 1931. The rector of the temple in those years was one of the leaders of the renovationism, Metropolitan Alexander Vvedensky.

One can have different opinions about the architectural merits of K. Ton’s project, but the Russian people, who respected their history, saw in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior a symbol of the glorious victories of historical Russia and the memory of the soldiers who died “For the Faith, the Tsar and the Fatherland.” It was precisely this significance of the majestic temple in the center of the capital next to the Kremlin that haunted the Jewish Bolshevik leadership. As Trotsky admitted in his autobiography “My Life,” he saw “heavy Moscow barbarism” in Russian architecture, ancient Kremlin churches, even in the Tsar Cannon and the Tsar Bell. And besides Trotsky, this feeling was shared by many members of the Central Committee and the government.

Already in April 1918, the “Decree on Monuments of the Republic” was issued: “Monuments erected in honor of the kings and their servants and of no historical or artistic interest are subject to removal from squares and streets and partly moving to warehouses, part of the use of a utilitarian nature...” The monument to Emperor Alexander III in the park near the Cathedral of Christ the Savior was immediately demolished.

Particularly in this field of destruction of historical monuments, Politburo member L.M. became famous. Kaganovich. At his suggestion, on June 2, 1931, Stalin gave the order to demolish the Temple-Monument of Military Glory with the name of Christ, hated by the Jewish Bolsheviks. Kaganovich personally pulled the handle of the electric switch with an exclamation: “Let’s pull up the hem of Mother Russia!”

On July 18, 1931, Izvestia published a resolution on a competition to design the Palace of the Soviets on this site. An entire press campaign was launched against the Temple-Monument: Soviet academics swore that it had no artistic value and was an example of “tsarist propaganda.” Among the few defenders of the temple was the artist Apollinariy Mikhailovich Vasnetsov, brother of V.M. Vasnetsova.

Work to dismantle the building continued for several months (the altar was robbed, the gilding was washed away), and on December 5, 1931, the temple was barbarously blown up along with the bas-reliefs and frescoes. After the first explosion, the walls stood firm; it was necessary to lay a second, more powerful charge. According to the recollections of witnesses, a powerful explosion was felt at a distance of many kilometers. It took another year and a half to dismantle the wreckage of the temple after the explosion. The Kropotkinskaya and Okhotny Ryad metro stations were lined with marble from the Temple, and benches were decorated at the Novokuznetskaya station. Some of the slabs with the names of the heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812 were crumbled and sprinkled on paths in Moscow parks, and some were used to decorate city buildings...

Project of the Palace of Soviets

On the site of the temple, according to the approved project of the architect B. Iofan (co-authors A. Shchuko and G. Gelfreich), they planned to build a colossal Palace of the Soviets with a 75-meter statue of Lenin on top, buried in the clouds (the largest monument in the world to the leader of the revolution). This “Tower of Babel of Communism” was planned as a new cult temple-monument in honor of the formation of the USSR, the Comintern and Lenin personally. But the Lord did not allow it: the war interfered.

By 1939, the laying of the foundation of the side of the Palace facing Volkhonka was completed. However, in the fall of 1941, anti-tank hedgehogs were made from metal structures prepared for installation for the defense of Moscow; in 1942, the remaining structures of the Palace of the Soviets were used to build railway bridges.

After the war, the construction department of the Palace of the Soviets still existed; the architect Iofan continued to improve his tower design. And only in 1960 it was decided to stop further design of the Palace of Soviets. For many years after the explosion, a monstrous pit gaped on the site of the majestic Temple-Monument, where in 1958, during Khrushchev’s godless “thaw,” the “Moscow” swimming pool, also “the largest,” was built.

+ + +

At the end of the 1980s, a social movement of believers arose for the reconstruction of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Prayers were regularly read at this place. The idea for self-promotion purposes was picked up by the Moscow authorities and turned into a business project involving “donations” from oligarchs such as Berezovsky, Smolensky, Gusinsky. In 1999, work on casting a concrete copy of the temple, richly decorated with Jewish symbols, expensive marble and sculptures by Z. Tsereteli made of artificial material, was completed - in fact, with money stolen from the people. It is significant for the spiritual atmosphere in the new church that on major holidays in the XXI century there is no sacrament of Communion: the cup is taken out of the altar and immediately taken back “for safety reasons” (!).

Let us list below the main persons responsible for the reconstruction of the temple - it is from them that the Orthodox can try to get an answer to the question that has long tormented them: where does the restored Orthodox temple come from such an abundance of Jewish symbols - from the floor mosaic in the central part of the hall and lamps to the domed crosses? Why is the Star of David also depicted on the altar cross - the current symbol of the Zionist (Judeo-Nazi) state of “Israel”?..

The resolution to begin the restoration of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior was adopted by the Moscow government in agreement with the Moscow Patriarchate on May 31, 1994, and on September 7 (the 6th was the Jewish New Year!) the founding meeting of the Public Council for the reconstruction of the temple was held. The council was headed by Alexy II and Moscow Mayor Yu.M. Luzhkov. Management of the entire complex of work was entrusted to his first deputy - member of the leadership of the Russian Jewish Congress V.I. Resina. On January 7, 1995, all the mentioned persons jointly performed the ceremonial laying of the reconstructed temple.

The work on creating design documentation was led by the director of the Mosproekt-2 department, the chief architect of the project of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior complex, deputy chairman of the Moskomarkhitektura, academician and member of the presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Architect of the Russian Federation, corresponding member of the International Academy of Architecture M.M. Posokhin - the faithful and illustrious heir of Lazar Kaganovich in the “reconstruction of Moscow.”

Work on the construction of the temple was carried out under the leadership of the Honored Builder of the Russian Federation, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, General Director of JSC Mospromstroy V.V. Frost.

“The work to reconstruct the Cathedral of Christ the Savior was carried out in constant contact with representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church appointed for this work by His Holiness the Patriarch... The national significance of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior as a national shrine determined the procedure for recreating each element of its decoration on a competitive basis... [Most orders were received by Z. Tsereteli .] The Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts entrusted direct operational management of the reconstruction of the paintings to Vice-President E.I. Zverkov, who put a lot of work into working on the semantic and artistic integrity of the picturesque decoration of the temple...”

Work on recreating the artistic decoration was carried out by the Russian Academy of Arts, headed by its President, Academician Z.K. Tsereteli. The head of the Coordination Group of specialists in the artistic decoration of the complex was priest Leonid Kalinin. He was also a member of the Artistic Decoration Commission.

Moscow. 5th of December. INTERFAX - The funeral service for the deceased Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Alexy II will most likely take place in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, sources in the Russian Orthodox Church told Interfax.

The venerable Brother of the Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar has gone to God's judgment. Big loss for my brother.

Wherever Jews poke their noses in, they cause mischief. As a result, the Orthodox received not an Orthodox church, but a Jewish-Orthodox synagogue. And one should not be surprised at this if we recall the words of Alexy II, spoken by him at a meeting with the rabbis.

No matter how bad the evil tries not to kill the true faith. And reward them according to their deeds... In any case, good will defeat the evil that they have been carrying for more than 2000 years

And the worst thing is that Kirill has ALREADY been chosen as “temporary”, and you and I remember what that means...

Indeed, you can’t just call it a coincidence, it’s a misunderstanding, it’s unlikely - my opinion is a conscious line. It turns out that we are bowing to the wrong god... And in general, these Jewish symbols in the Christian Temple are, in my opinion, a mockery of all Christians! This seems to say, “Who is the boss of the house?” Draw your conclusions, Lord!

EVERYTHING IS VERY SIMPLE. JUDAISM, CHRISTIANITY AND ISLAM ARE THREE RELIGIONS OF ONE BOOK - THE TORAH. CHRISTIANS UNDERSTAND THIS AND GO TO PAGANITY. MUSLI WILL SOON UNDERSTAND THIS.

Then they blew it up, and now their followers built it. The Jews are the creators of cataclysms and they need Russian people to constantly go crazy, turn their heads in all directions and not understand anything!

After the anti-Soviet coup, EBN and Medvedoputy removed the nationality indicator from Russia’s document flow. Thus, the Medvedevs, Chubais and other Abramovichs formally abandoned their parents. A purely Jewish gesture.

WHY IS THE TEMPLE OF CHRIST THE SAVIOR SLAMINATED? A normal person will see that the Cathedral of Christ the Savior is slandered and denigrated by the Jewish mafia, but the Patriarch does not see, the employees in this temple do not see that the Jewish stars in the temple of the heart of Holy Mother Rus', the lamp with a Jewish star, on the floor there is a Jewish star, on the glass there are also Jewish ones stars! The Russian people, visiting the temple, do not see what is happening in the great temple, this black rot in the Holy Land has spoiled the great temple of the heart, in which the services of the Patriarch are held, and he is not blind, the Jews, not the Russians, should conduct services with Jewish stars in such churches the priesthood, and especially not the Patriarch, and after that, is he even a Patriarch at all!

Using the money stolen by Jews from the Russians, a new Cathedral of Christ the Savior was built, lavishly decorated with the Stars of David. This means that after the next writing of the history of the Russian state by Jews, in 75 years, the Jews will write... “Even three thousand years before the construction of the Moscow Kremlin, this synagogue was built here.”

All churches need to be blown up, glory to the Bolsheviks!

Instead of churches, we need to build gardens, schools, theaters, and buildings for gathering amateur groups. And capitalist power only stupefies the people. Continue to believe in unsophisticated pictures (yes, I’m talking about icons).

Since 1917, there has been an anti-Russian government in Russia. This is where all the trouble comes from.

Damn the Bolsheviks, communists, Social Revolutionaries...and other mirage...destroying RUSSIA.

Unsuccessful attempt

Few people know that at first they planned to erect the Cathedral of Christ the Savior on the Sparrow Hills, a kind of “crown of Moscow”, from where it would tower over the capital and be visible from everywhere.

Its construction was entrusted to the young architect Karl Magnus (after the adoption of Orthodoxy - Alexander Lavrentievich) Vitberg. He designed a three-tiered building with three altars. The first temple, the lowest one, was also supposed to become the tomb of Russian soldiers, where memorial services would constantly take place. Having familiarized himself with Witberg’s project and turning to the architect, Alexander I exclaimed: “You made the stones speak!”

This is how the Cathedral of Christ the Savior should have looked according to A.L. Vitberg’s design

Exactly on the fifth anniversary of the expulsion of the French from Moscow, October 12, 1817, between the Smolensk road (along which the enemy entered Moscow) and Kaluga (along which he left the capital), the ceremonial laying of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior took place on Sparrow Hills.

However, Vitberg, the favorite of Alexander I (it was not for nothing that he was his successor at baptism and gave him his name), after the death of the emperor he was undeservedly accused of embezzlement and, after lengthy proceedings, was exiled to Vyatka.

They also refuse to build a temple on Sparrow Hills. Firstly, due to soil subsidence on the banks of the Moscow River and the danger of a landslide. Secondly, fears were expressed that due to the distance from the center of the capital, the magnificent building would remain empty most of the time. In addition, Witberg’s project was full of mystical symbolism, very close to the worldview of Alexander I, but alien to the views of the new Russian Tsar, who did not share the mystical hobbies of his brother.
