Preparations for the construction of the Third Temple?
Until yesterday, the result of Netanyahu’s policy was that the Jewish state was able to find itself in a much more advantageous position than before: “there is no longer an Arab-Israeli conflict, there is only a Palestinian-Israeli conflict.”
But now, after the clashes on the Temple Mount, the conflict can again reach a fundamentally different level: from a Palestinian-Israeli conflict it can turn not just into an Arab-Israeli one, but into a pan-Islamic-Israeli one.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has escalated sharply in Jerusalem. Over the past two days, more than 300 people have been injured in clashes between Israeli police and Arabs.
On Monday evening, the military wing of the Palestinian movement Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation fired several rockets at Israeli cities. According to The Jerusalem Post, the Israel Defense Forces intercepted seven missiles fired toward Jerusalem by the Iron Dome missile defense system.
The reason for the current aggravation was the decision to evict several Arab families from houses that belonged to Jews before 1948. Palestinians believe that restitution of property lost by Israelis is unfair. The Arabs barricaded themselves and clashes with the police began.
The situation escalated on the night of May 7-8 when police launched an operation on the Temple Mount during Muslim prayers. The Arabs got into a fight with the security forces, using everything they could get their hands on. In response, the police used tear gas and rubber bullets.
Bibi's policies are inconsistent
Doctor of Historical Sciences, political scientist Alexey Malashenko, in a conversation with Gazeta.Ru, noted that it is still very difficult to judge why the conflict broke out on the Temple Mount during the holy month of Ramadan.
“I’m almost sure that this is a special case, an initiative of local authorities. It is very unlikely that the government level would now order the expulsion of these few Palestinian families. There were many casualties, which caused outrage not only in Palestine, but throughout the Muslim world. How Netanyahu will get out now is unclear. He is an intelligent man and understands that this situation does not bode well for his country.”
From Malashenko’s point of view, the course of the Netanyahu government is inconsistent:
“If this had been a series of actions, say, since March, this would have been understandable. But now this happens precisely in Ramadan - and this is completely different. After all, the general trend of Israel’s relations with Muslim states, recently, for example, with Saudi Arabia, indicates an intention to develop them.”
In other words, the result of Netanyahu’s policy was that the Jewish state was in a much more advantageous position: “there is no longer an Arab-Israeli conflict, there is only a Palestinian-Israeli conflict.”
But now, after the clashes on the Temple Mount, the conflict can again reach a fundamentally different level: from a Palestinian-Israeli conflict it can turn not just into an Arab-Israeli one, but into a pan-Islamic-Israeli one.
Reaction
Thus, Turkish President Erdogan held negotiations with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and representatives of Hamas, during which he positioned himself as calling the actions of the Israeli security forces terror.
Support for the Arabs of Palestine was expressed by Jordan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, as well as Bahrain and the UAE, which concluded peace agreements with Israel.
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, called on the Israeli authorities to come to their senses and apologize. “We Muslims will not allow anyone to joke with our shrine. If necessary, we will not spare our lives to protect Al-Aqsa and for the sake of our faith,” he wrote in his tlg channel.
The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed concern about the aggravation of the situation: “The expropriation of land and the property located on it, as well as the creation by Israel of settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, have no legal force,” noted on Smolenskaya Square.
Our politicians also spoke out.
Thus, Sergei Nikolaevich Baburin in the tlg channel “Russian Assembly” expressed the following thought: “In our time, the struggle of Palestinians, all Muslims and Christians against the Judaization of Jerusalem, for the equal right of representatives of all Abrahamic religions to have access to the shrines of their religion in Jerusalem is a symbol self-sacrifice and struggle without the right to surrender and retreat.
The Palestinians must have a homeland with its capital in East Jerusalem!”
De facto, the Old City of Jerusalem is now part of Israel. However, the status of Jerusalem in international law has not been approved. Moreover, according to the 1994 agreement between Israel and Jordan, the al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as all the Islamic shrines of Jerusalem, are under the care of Jordan.
Forecasts. Including apocalyptic
The outcome of the current conflict will depend on a number of factors: Netanyahu's political wisdom; on the degree of radicalism of Hamas and the Palestinians; depends on how far the politicians of Saudi Arabia and other influential forces in the world of Islam are willing to go.
Depending on this, we will observe either another round of tension, to which both Jews and Arabs have become accustomed over many years of coexistence, or the consequences may take a completely pre-apocalyptic turn.
Indeed, according to the context of the Tradition of the Church, the last act of human history will begin with the restoration of the Jerusalem Temple, which will become the place of the reign of the false Moshiach. But in order to build the Third Temple, it is necessary to demolish the al-Aqsa Mosque. An “accidentally” flying rocket could demolish this Muslim shrine. Possibly Iranian.
One way or another, any aggravation occurring in the City of Three Religions is perceived precisely in an apocalyptic context.
Israeli skepticism
Meanwhile, when we spoke today with our correspondents in Israel, we were talking not about those upcoming missiles that, in the future, may wipe out the al-Aqsa Mosque from the face of the earth, but about those missiles that have been falling on cities for the past 24 hours Jewish state.
Thus, according to our sources from Jerusalem, the situation with the fire on the Temple Mount is being presented in the domestic media, to put it mildly, not entirely correctly.
Yesterday, Jerusalem celebrated City Day - and it is because of this that we see a large demonstration of Jews with national flags at the Western Wall. And their rejoicing is not at all connected with the fact of the ignition of some object on Arab territory, but is a natural manifestation of the holiday atmosphere.
So, what we see in the video: At the Western Wall, Jews celebrate Jerusalem Day. Nearby, among the Arabs, a tree is burning on the Temple Mount. It turned out ominous, but the Jews in this case are not dancing because there is a fire.
Israeli citizens are discussing the context in which the actions of security forces are presented in the Russian media:
“If you depict the events of 1944-45 in the spirit of the video: “How Jews attack Arabs,” you will get the following:
“On October 16, 1944, the Soviet army suddenly crossed the border and superior forces invaded the territory of the Third Reich. Despite the heroic resistance of the Wehrmacht and militia from the peaceful German people, as a result of the Russian use of weapons of mass destruction, as well as massive bombing of cities, the use of Katyusha missiles, tens of thousands of tanks, aircraft and artillery, led to numerous casualties of civilians and the extermination of color highly cultured German nation. Despite the massive heroism of the entire German people, from 14-year-old teenagers to 70-year-olds, Germany was turned into ruins and the USSR's aggression ended with the capture of Berlin and the signing of Germany's surrender on May 9, 1945. The death of millions of Germans - innocent victims of an attack on Germany will be an eternal curse and shame for the aggressors! "
The bitter skepticism of our former compatriots is due to the fact that information about the conflict is presented, in the opinion of Israeli citizens, quite tendentiously. Our media, according to the Israelis, exaggerate any information about the dead Palestinians, but report extremely sparingly about the dead Jews.
Rocket attack on Ashdod and Ashkelon
On May 11, around 13-10 local time, a massive rocket attack was launched from the Gaza Strip on populated areas in Israel.
The paramilitary wing of Hamas claimed responsibility for the massive attack. A statement issued in Gaza said: “This is the most powerful missile strike against the enemy in recent times. The rockets were fired in response to the ongoing attacks by the Israeli army on the homes of Palestinian civilians and national resistance fighters.”
Hamas's armed wing said its rocket crews were able to launch 137 rockets in 5 minutes. “We still have a lot of missiles in stock,” the militants warned.
The terrorist organization Islamic Jihad, banned in the Russian Federation, issued a statement regarding a possible retaliatory strike by the IDF: “Our reaction to the attack on civilians and resistance fighters will be harsh. The enemy can expect her at any moment."
According to the Israeli portal Vesti, by 11:00 on May 11, the Israel Defense Forces attacked more than 140 targets in the Gaza Strip. The army press service confirmed the liquidation of a group of Palestinian rocket launchers. They were destroyed in the car in which they were heading to the launch site.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, 24 Gazans were killed in the IDF attacks. The IDF confirms the death of 15 militants. The army also recalls that a third of the 250 rockets fired from Gaza towards Israel exploded on the territory of the enclave itself, leading to the death of people.
The army also reports that a significant portion of the missiles were intercepted. Earlier, the IDF assessed the effectiveness of the Iron Dome, and also clarified which targets in Gaza were being struck.
Despite the fact that the main attack on Gaza is being carried out from the air, the IDF is moving artillery to the border. The Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Aviv Kokhvai, ordered the Gaza division stationed near the border of the strip to be reinforced with infantry and armored units.
To maintain order in the zone of Arab unrest, it was also decided to call in 8 border police companies (MAGAV). Defense Minister Benny Gantz ordered an emergency conscription of 5,000 reservists into the IDF.
After a short lull, shelling of Ashkelon and Sderot resumed. The Iron Dome intercepted some of the missiles. Prior to this, in the early morning of May 11, Ashkelon was subjected to massive shelling, when dozens of rockets were fired at the city within half an hour. Direct hits were recorded in two residential buildings, in one of which four members of the same family were injured. In total, 10 wounded from the shelling were admitted to the Barzilai hospital.
After this, the Ashkelon mayor's office asked residents not to move away from the protected premises.
On the morning of the same day, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held an operational meeting in Tel Aviv, hearing reports from the Chief of the IDF General Staff, Lieutenant General Aviv Kochavi, and the heads of the intelligence services.
Due to the security situation in Israel, a special state of emergency has been declared. Public bomb shelters have been opened in many cities. Experts believe that the escalation will continue for several more days - until the end of Ramadan,” the Vesti columnist concluded.

One of the comments from FB:
“Thank you for trying to look at the situation from different angles.
Without completely falling into conspiracy theories, there may be many obvious reasons for what is happening:
1) Netanyahu needs to leave the post of head of government, but he doesn’t want to.
2) Mahmoud Abbas must agree to elections in the Palestinian Authority, but he doesn’t want to (he will lose, and the Islamists will come to power)
3) after a year of corona and being locked up, people are sick and want some movement. This, by the way, is one of the reasons for the recent tragedy on Mount Meron.
As for the 3rd Temple, this, in my AMATEUR opinion, seems extremely unlikely in our time. This could have been attempted (and even then it was unlikely) under Trump and his evangelists. I think the current rulers have no time for this.”
Jerusalem Life Center
The Jerusalem Temple quickly became the center of religious, cultural and even economic life in Israel. Three times a year on the holidays of Passover, Sukkot and Shavuot, all Jews had to come to Jerusalem to make sacrifices. Sacrifices also took place on ordinary days. Each resident of Israel was required to donate a tenth of his entire income for the maintenance of the temple and its servants. If the royal treasury was empty, rulers often took money from these reserves. Before the holidays, roads were often repaired with temple money so that Jews from all over the country could easily enter the city. This contributed to the development of Jerusalem. For a long time, the Sanhedrin, the Supreme Court, sat in the temple.

How are things today
At the moment, the place where the Third Temple should stand is occupied by a complex of Muslim mosques. On the site of the Second Temple, the El-Aqsa Mosque was built back in the 16th century.
Historians who have studied the looting of the Israeli shrine by the Romans suggest that many of the gold objects could have been used to make the golden dome of the mosque.
Those Jews who want to stand on the land of worship of their ancestors cannot do this without fulfilling special conditions. We are talking about the need to remove all signs of Judaism from your clothes and put on a Muslim skullcap.
Naturally, the Israelis will not do this. To avoid serious conflicts on religious grounds, a court decision of the State of Israel prohibited Jews from praying on the territory of Al-Aqsa.

It is worth noting that some religious Jewish schools do not advise their students to enter the territory of the destroyed Second Temple. The basis for this position is doubt regarding the correctness of the location of the shrine.
But the majority is convinced that the information is reliable. Therefore, they plan to build the Third Temple on the site of El-Aqsa. The problem is that the mosque is still functioning and no one is going to clean it.
What might happen in the future
At the moment, there is no clear algorithm for organizing the construction of the third Temple. This is all due to the unstable political situation.

Some speculate that the Al-Aqsa Mosque may one day be destroyed by accident.
If you pay attention to the events that are taking place in the Middle East, you will notice that the Palestinians began to use missiles that can reach Jerusalem. This creates the risk of one of them accidentally falling into the mosque located on the site of the Second Temple.
Such events do not look positive since there are often people in the mosque. At the same time, the Israelis cannot yet present another scheme that would allow the removal of the Muslim shrine.
The situation looks deadlocked, but the Jews do not stop believing in the desired changes.
Wall of Tears
This architectural object partially serves as a Temple for the Jews. Many Jews pray at this place, as well as guests from all over the world.
But the Wall is not part of the actual Second Temple, it was simply built on the site where the Israelite shrine once stood. It also symbolizes Jesus’ cry that the Temple will be destroyed and not one stone will be left upon another. That's what happened in the end.
It is worth noting that this attempt to restore the Second Temple ended in tragedy - the wall fell on the builders and many of them died.
But despite the tragic events, many perceive the Western Wall as a symbol that the construction of the Third Temple will begin and reach a successful completion.
Alternative options
Israeli physicist Asher Kaufman authoritatively suggested almost 20 years ago that both destroyed temples were located 110 m north of the Dome of the Rock.
If Usher's words are to be believed, then the place where the Holy of Holies and the Foundation Stone were located is located under the current Dome of the Spirits. This is a small Muslim building built in the Middle Ages.
But Israeli architect Tuvia Sagiv thinks differently. In his opinion, the remains of the destroyed temple buildings are located south of the Dome of the Rock. Nowadays you can see the Al-Qas fountain at this place.
But there are those who are convinced that the correct place for the Third Temple is 30 km south of Jerusalem.

Second version
There are Jews who suggest that the described rock protruding from the ground is the place where the Altar of Burnt Offering was located. If this version is correct, then the temple should have been located to the west of the stone.
This opinion has a right to exist, since it is combined with the spatial relationship of the Temple Mount, on which all the conditions have been created for the placement of a large and wide architectural object.
HOLY OF HOLIES
Both the First and Second Jewish Temples were built on the model of the Tabernacle - the marching temple of the Jews (originally a tent, tent).
The construction of the permanent stone Temple of Solomon, which shocked the East with its splendor, became possible during the Golden Age of the Jews, shortly after they occupied Jerusalem in 1000 BC. and the formation of the Kingdom of Israel. King David (reigned 1005-965 BC) bought the mountain and began preparatory work on the project: he collected a considerable part of the funds, developed a detailed plan for the building, extensions and three courtyards surrounding the temple, and bequeathed the construction work to his son Solomon. Huge funds were spent on the construction, including generous gifts from the biblical Queen of Sheba (from Arabian Shaba. Solomon was a good administrator, diplomat, builder, industrialist (built a copper smelting enterprise near the Wadi al-Arab valley mine) and trader (in particular, was engaged in intermediary trade in horses and chariots between Egypt and Asia, equipped expeditions for gold and incense to the legendary country of Ophir / Punt).According to legend, King Solomon (reigned 965-928 BC) began construction of the Jerusalem Temple in the fourth year of his reign, in 480 after the Exodus of the Jews from Egypt.Construction of the temple lasted 7 years: from 967 to 960 BC.The temple dominated all surrounding buildings, including the royal ceremonial palace, the summer palace and the palace of the daughter of the Egyptian pharaoh, whom Solomon took as his wife. The entire palace and temple complex took 16 years to build. After the fall of the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the destruction by the Assyrians of the temples in Dan and Bethel, the Jerusalem Temple turned into the central sanctuary of all Israelite tribes, and after the liquidation of pagan cults in 662 it acquired the status of the main national-religious center.
Reconstruction of Solomon's Temple.
The temple building was surrounded by three courtyards. Adjacent to the temple, surrounded by a low fence that allowed the people to see the sacred rites, was the Courtyard of the Priests with a copper altar in the form of a blossoming lily on twelve oxen. Behind the fence was the People's Courtyard. Behind it is the Court of the Pagans, surrounded by a stone wall with four entrances. Presumably the royal place was located there. The main part of Solomon's temple was the Sanctuary and the Holy of Holies (a cubic space 5 m below the Sanctuary, which formed a room for storing sacred things. The Sanctuary was illuminated by a lamp that burned day and night, and the Holy of Holies received light only during services through the open doors. In the Sanctuary there was a golden incense altar, ten lamps and ten tables of offering. The Holy of Holies contained the Ark of the Covenant - the main shrine of the Jews, with the stone Tablets of the Law received by Moses from God on Mount Sinai. Initially, other sacred relics were kept there - Aaron's rod and cups with manna, but by that time they had already been lost. The Ark itself was lost during the complete destruction of the first Temple of Jerusalem by the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar in 586 BC. Jerusalem was burned, its walls were torn down, the inhabitants who survived the siege were driven into slavery...

Dimensions
The Third Temple differs from the previous two not only in shape, but also in dimensions.
For example, the outer court in Ezekiel's version is 100 cubits (43.5 m) longer on the north and south sides. Only because of these parameters, even in the absence of a mosque, the Temple Mount will have to be expanded.
This makes significant topological changes inevitable.
Nowadays, many researchers are busy with the process of restoring the Third Temple. They make a lot of effort to achieve the desired result, but face tangible difficulties:
- Difficult to reproduce details. For a detailed development of the project of the Third Temple, the accuracy of the description is not enough.
- Difficulty of interpretation. Some phrases can be interpreted differently, which complicates the process of developing the design of an object.
- It is difficult to understand the meaning of some technical terms.
Because the vision's description of the Temple is so vague, there are currently many differing comments regarding the structure and design of the new shrine.

But the Jews did not go into a discussion of contradictions and selected the most successful versions. On their basis, architectural models of the Third Temple were developed.
The most common versions are:
- modern interpretation of Daat ha-mikra;
- book “House Arrangement” by R. Yom Tov Lipman-Geller;
- Rashi project;
- description of the Temple from the Vilna Gaon.
A separate model has been developed for each of these interpretations.
