  • What is the secret of the existence of our world? Was it created, or has it always existed? And if created, then for what?
  • What is all this for - beauty and suffering, searches and disappointments, universal scope and depth of the microworld?
  • Finally, why do I live in this world?

People have been asking these questions since the beginning of time, trying to understand the meaning of the existence of the Universe and their own place in it...

Each person is looking for his own answer. And in this article I will tell you about the results of my search. Perhaps she will help you find your own path. Check the knowledge gained in the article with your own inner sense of Truth! Just remember: any information, any teaching is an attempt to describe the Unknowable in words... They are like a finger pointing to the Moon. Don't look at the finger, look at the moon!

And now an exciting journey awaits you, lifting the veil over the mystery of your existence. This mystery is closely connected with the mystery of the existence of the Universe...

The Absolute is the basis of the Universe

Understanding the purpose of the Universe begins with the most important axiom:

The only source of everything that exists is the Absolute.

Mystics and philosophers have been repeating and repeating this since ancient times. But for thousands of years, the concept of “Absolute” existed only as a religious and philosophical concept, supported by intuitive, mystical feeling. To have a mystical sense of the basis of the world, logical arguments and scientific justification are not required.

However, with the development of quantum physics and the discovery of the phenomenon of nonlocality of the world, the existence of the Absolute was confirmed by science. Now the logical mind can rely on the results of quantum experiments and the theory of decoherence created on their basis. And the following conclusions follow from this theory:

  1. There is a quantum or primordial reality. From the point of view of quantum mechanics, space in this reality has an infinite number of dimensions. That is, in fact there is no space. Since space and time represent a single continuum, Time is also absent in quantum reality. Quantum reality is pure Information About Everything.

This is a world of Limitless Potential Possibilities. It contains Everything That Is + Everything That Is Not + Everything That Could Be. And only an insignificant part of All That Can Be manifests itself in the “visible” world.

In essence, quantum reality is the Absolute.

  1. All objects of the material world we perceive arise from quantum reality in the process of constant information exchange. It is precisely this mechanism for the emergence of reality that is suggested by the theory of decoherence.

If we briefly describe the theory of decoherence , then the emergence of reality is similar to the children's fairy tale “About the Kid who could count to ten.” Until the Little Goat counts the passengers, the ship is sinking. He is drowning because the necessary information is missing! As soon as the animals are counted and it turns out that everything is in order with the carrying capacity, the ship stops sinking. In approximately the same way, information exchange manifests material objects in our world.

Read more about how the world around us materializes from the Absolute here.

At the same time, “counting animals” can be done in various ways. Thus, the “physical” world is one of countless possible projections of the Absolute.

  1. The world we see is already completely “materialized” as a result of decoherence. The entire unlimited potential of the Absolute has turned into a unique Pattern of the Universe - the existing Space of Interconnected Events. However, our world remains inextricably linked with the Absolute, with the original “quantum reality” that gave birth to it. It is this connection that explains the phenomenon of “quantum entanglement,” or more precisely, quantum unity.

If we consider quantum reality as the basis of the universe, then the grandiose mystical revelations of the great ancient books become completely clear and understandable.

  • “Pragyanam Brahma” (“Knowledge is Brahman”) – says the first of the four “Great Statements” of the ancient Indian Vedas.
  • “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” - everyone is familiar with these first lines from the Gospel of John.

Both sayings directly and unambiguously point to the original information reality - “Information-About-Everything”, which underlies our world...

The Absolute existed “before” our material Universe. It will exist “after”. Actually, the concepts of “before” and “after” are not even applicable here. The Absolute simply exists , and it underlies our Universe. Moreover, He is our Universe. There is nothing in the world except the Absolute and its projections, forming a multi-level Universe .

Life of the next century

The day will come when human history as we know it will end. The time of struggle and testing, doubt and suffering will be left behind. The true King, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, will appear in glory, and His Kingdom will be established in a completely obvious way. The dead will rise, and we will all reap the fruits of the choices we made in life. But this will not be the end - it will be the beginning. The morning of the never-setting day will come after a long and stormy night; those who have fallen asleep in the hope of resurrection and eternal life will awaken to see the fulfillment of this hope. As the Scripture says, And on that day they will say: “Here is He our God! We trusted in Him, and He saved us! This is the Lord; we trusted in Him; let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation!”; “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death; There will be no more mourning, nor crying, nor pain, for the former things have passed away” (Isaiah 25:9, Rev 21:4).

Our deepest hopes will be realized, our thirst will be quenched, all creation will be healed. We will see how the glory and joy of the saved world will be greater than the glory and joy of the first.

Saved humanity will live forever in their Father's house and lovingly cultivate His garden. We cannot describe this in detail - our language inevitably stumbles when trying to talk about the reality of the future age, but sometimes God gives us a presentiment of it; sometimes the beauty of nature or the kindness of people, or the works of great composers and artists helps us in this. The life of a Christian is a life of hope and expectation; we know that God’s plan will be accomplished, that any sorrows are temporary, but joy is eternal, and we already recognize reflections of this joy in our soul.

How the Absolute decides to be God: the reasons for the creation of the Universe

So, the Absolute is All That Is. Naturally, He is, among other things, Consciousness.

Why and for what purpose does the Absolute, this eternally existing, all-encompassing and omnipotent Unified Consciousness, need the existence of our world?

And there is no doubt that it is necessary. Otherwise, the “projection” in the form of our Universe would never have arisen from the boundless ocean of information, from the Consciousness of the Absolute.

The answer lies in the very essence of the Absolute. Or rather, what he cannot do due to his original nature.

In fact, of course, the words “cannot” and “impossible” do not apply to the Absolute. After all, He is All That Is. This means He is omnipotent. There is nothing He cannot do and nothing He cannot become.

And indeed it is. "Absolute" means "God". After all, nothing can be closer to understanding God in the highest sense than “All-That-Is, All-That-Isn’t and All-That-Can-Be.”

Just...What could He not have done if He had not created our vast Universe? If All-That-Is exists in absolute Unity, and there is nothing else??? What was missing from God before our world came into being?

  • There was no sense of self. If there is no one but You, then there is no one to watch You.

In the Primordial reality, there is no one to tell God that He is God. There is no one to see His greatness.

  • There was a lack of choice and self-expression. If everything exists in Unity, then there are no alternatives. There is nothing to choose from.

In the Primordial reality, God cannot choose to be God. He cannot consciously express His greatness.

  • There was no feeling. If there is only Knowledge, then there are no feelings. Knowing and feeling are not the same thing.

In the Primordial reality, God cannot feel like God. He cannot feel His greatness.

This means that in the Primordial reality, before the creation of our Universe, God actually exists in a state of Non-Existence.

And in order to realize himself as God, express himself as God and feel like God, He decides to create our Universe. True, what “decided” means, and how He generally decides something where there is no Time - only God knows!

As a result, a multi-level Universe is born - a huge, unimaginably complex and at the same time simple tool for transforming Knowledge into Being.

Our world exists to create Being for God.

A fall

Happiness in the human family requires certain obvious conditions. First, people must agree to be happy. No one can be made happy in relationships with others against his (or her) will. No one can give family happiness to a woman who simply does not want to get married - no matter how ideal her fiancé may be. Secondly, happiness presupposes personal growth - we change, become different in order to accommodate this happiness. And we grow by making decisions, showing our freedom; we choose between loyalty and betrayal, caring for others and capricious selfishness, trusting God or refusing to trust Him.

We will not become honest and faithful until we have the opportunity to demonstrate honesty (which means being able to steal and not doing it) or loyalty (which means being able to commit treason and refuse to commit it). You cannot be faithful to the Emperor, who did not trust you with anything. We grow into people capable of happiness - even temporary, much less eternal - when at every turn we voluntarily choose the path that leads to it.

But since we have true freedom and are the authors of our decisions, we can choose the wrong path. We can choose unhappiness. And our first parents did just that. And we continue to do this now. Our entire existence bears the stamp of a catastrophe of cosmic proportions, which the Church calls the Fall. It is this catastrophe that is the cause of all evil - all the pain, grief, loss and despair of our world. Sin is not just a bad act or a collection of bad acts; it is a deep corruption of human nature itself, which manifests itself in specific acts of evil, as, for example, alcoholism manifests itself in specific acts of drinking. Sometimes the belief in the depravity of man and the world is considered “dark.” In fact, it is full of bright hope - we believe that the current state of the world and ourselves is not normal, that we are created for something much better, that at the basis of reality lies God's love, which created us for limitless happiness, and the misfortunes experienced by people Now, there is a manifestation of a deeply undesirable state of the world. And we believe that this condition will be corrected.

How the Absolute creates our world: the creation of the Universe

  • What exactly did the Absolute create in order to realize itself as God, express itself as God and feel like God?
  • What was required to lay the foundation of the created Universe for this?

The basis of self-awareness: pieces of God

Since the Absolute is All-That-Is, He cannot look at Himself from the outside. He cannot feel and realize himself when interacting with something external. After all, there is simply nothing external for Him. The only possible way remains is to find the internal reference point . Somehow to become aware of your own existence from within.

To do this, the Absolute needed to divide itself into parts . Together they form the Whole, but each part is less than the Whole. Each part can experience itself as different from the others. Each part can interact with others. It is thanks to interaction that each particle of the Absolute has a sense of self. Therefore, interaction is the basis of our Universe.

In the process of interaction, each part can look at itself and other parts. Look to see and realize the greatness of the Whole. God can be reflected in every smallest part of himself, as in a mirror.

By dividing himself into parts, God creates He-Who-Chooses.

Options for self-perception: Polarity and Relativity

In the state of primordial quantum Unity, there is nothing to choose from. Where there are no differences, there are no alternatives or options.

To create the very possibility of the existence of options, Relativity is born.

“Relativity” means that you can choose a reference point and define everything that exists in relation to this point .

It is Relativity that gives you the ability to define and compare. Thanks to its existence, you can measure length in meters, feet or arshins. Thanks to Relativity, the concepts of “more” and “smaller”, “warmer” and “colder”, “higher” and “lower” can be born.

Without Relativity, it is impossible to distinguish between options or compare them with each other.

Just... what and with what to compare? Where to get various alternatives?

The properties of the Absolute in its original state are integral and indivisible.

  • The Absolute is Love as Unity. After all, nothing separate exists for Him.
  • The Absolute is Mind, as Consciousness. After all, He embraces the entire Universe.
  • The Absolute is Will, like Creation. After all, He is the only source of the Universe.

These are not even the qualities of the Absolute, this is the Absolute itself. This is what God is. At the level of the Absolute, these states do not have their opposite.

At the same time, Reason and Will are, of course, also aspects of Love. They simply flow from Unity, as the main basic quality of the Absolute: after all, God is All-That-Is, and All-That-Can-Be, and even All-That-Not-Is.

It turns out that Love, including that manifested through Reason and Will, is the essence of the Absolute and any of its smallest particles.

God is love.

How can God, or a part of God, choose to be Love? By reason? By will? After all, there is nothing to choose from, and nothing to compare with...

And then the Absolute, in order to give itself the opportunity to choose, in addition to Relativity, creates Polarity. As a result of the emergence of Polarity, objects and events are recognized by their position in some coordinate system, location on a “ruler” with two opposite ends. No concept can acquire meaning without the presence of its opposite.

“Big” cannot exist without “small”, “top” without “bottom”, “man” without “woman”, and “good” without “evil”.

That is why our world is called “dual”.

And for the opportunity to choose to be God-Who-Is-Love, the Absolute creates the opposite of Love. God creates an illusion that He is not. This illusion is called "Fear". Fear, as the opposite of Unity, as a state of separation from a hostile world... Fear as the basis of what is called the “dark side”.

Love and Fear form the Great Polarity in our Universe. The tension created by this polarity runs through all the structures of our world. It is its main driving force, creating an unimaginable number of options to choose between these poles.

It is Love or Fear that underlies your every thought, word and action.

…Have you ever noticed that “positive” ideas are full, and “negative” ones represent only the “lack” of this filling? Gratitude fills the soul, and in its absence, spiritual emptiness arises. Responsibility is full of meaning and action, and avoiding it is usually meaningless and inactive.

This happens due to the initial illusory nature of Fear. After all, Love is Unity, the original and natural state of the Absolute, and fear, as the opposite of Love, is just the absence of Unity.

Darkness is simply the absence of Light.

In the awareness of the illusory nature of Fear lies the secret of a harmonious life. Since it is Love that is the original essence of the Absolute, then any duality of the world disappears where there is Love. It is she who unites opposites. Returns to the state of Unity.

So, the creation of Relativity and Polarity creates all the infinite diversity of the world. A huge number of alternatives are emerging . Each minute part of God has many options to manifest its own divinity.

Having created Relativity and Polarity, God creates the Space-of-Options-For-Choice.

Possibility of changing the sense of self: Movement, Development and Time

The Absolute is immutable by its nature. All-That-Is simply cannot change. Therefore, in the original quantum reality there are no changes, and therefore there is no movement and development.

Meanwhile, without development there is no real choice. If everything is unchanged, then once you make a choice, it is impossible to change it. It is impossible to come to the choice to be Love. You can only make such a choice immediately and forever. This means that if the Space-of-Options-For-Choice is static and unchanging, then God and each of his parts still have no real alternative.

And the Absolute creates Movement. Movement as a continuous process of events - actions that change the world. Moreover, any interaction is an event, and any event is an interaction.

The events are interconnected. Each of them is both a consequence of previous ones and the cause of subsequent events. The existence of such a cause-and-effect relationship is ensured by Time. Actually, this is precisely why Time is needed - so that the effect, being the result of the cause, comes after it. Time provides the opportunity to form the Space of Interconnected Events, or the Pattern of the Universe.

It is possible to change the effect only by influencing the cause. You need to change your future today.

And since any event is an interaction, the only way to influence upcoming events is to change the interaction that is happening right now. And such a change depends only on the participants in the interaction.

Thus, as an inevitable result of the Movement, the possibility of Development appears.

Development is a change in what will be relative to what was.

Development can be conscious or unconscious.

We will not touch on unconscious development in detail now. Suffice it to say that such development is completely subject to the laws of probability. Therefore, it is usually very leisurely and occurs on the principle of “one step forward and two steps back.”

The opportunity for conscious development appears when at least one participant in an interaction is able to change its character by making a conscious choice. You can realize the cause-and-effect relationship between your interaction with the world around you and the events in your life.

As a result, you become able to consciously create these events. By changing your choice, you change your life. The world is in constant motion to give you the opportunity to develop. That is why constant change is the only constant component of our Universe.

Every smallest particle of God has the opportunity to change the forms and ways of revealing its divinity.

Having created Movement and Time, God creates Choice-In-Development.

The ability to choose your sense of self: Free Will

In a state of complete quantum unity, there is no independence. If you are absolutely one with everything, then you simply do not exist. Meanwhile, without complete independence it is impossible to make your own free individual choice.

Therefore, even with a sense of self and partial independence, no part of the Absolute can still choose to be God. Such a choice requires Free Will. And it is only possible with complete independence.

The Absolute brings the “separation” of its particles to a level where Free Will can exist. It is at this moment that they “fall away from God.” According to His will and for the fulfillment of His plan.

True free will can only exist with minimal values of quantum unity. That is, in our physical world, in which individual objects “live”, fully interacting with each other with the exchange of energy and information. In a world where nothing can stop you from making your own choice.

With an increase in the level of quantum unity, that is, on higher planes of the Universe (“subtle worlds”), free will turns out to be impossible. The inhabitants of the “subtle worlds” do not possess it.

Therefore, many sources speak, for example, about the lack of free will among heavenly angels...

Possessing free will, you create a personal “coordinate system” in the world of Relativity. Only you determine who you are. You decide how you will develop your own consciousness. You choose what kind of world you will create, and how you will manifest a particle of the Creator in yourself.

Every smallest part of God can choose exactly how to manifest its own divinity.

Free will creates Freedom of Choice.

Ability to feel: Life

Absolute reality is the boundless ocean of Knowledge. Information-About-Everything. But... knowledge is not identical to feeling.

Knowing how to swim and swimming while feeling the cool elasticity of the water with your whole body are completely different states.

And this applies not only to physical sensations. To know that you are Love or to be filled with Love... To know about the consequences of your choice or to fully feel them... In a word, “ knowing” does not mean “living”.

The Absolute creates the possibility of transforming Knowledge into Feeling. To do this, it is necessary to materialize knowledge. Make the information tangible. And the created material Universe becomes a place of sensations. The continuous stream of events that forms it is filled with Life.

Read about how energy materializes information here.

You feel the consequences of every choice you make. You live through these consequences and gain experience. And this experience becomes part of you, forming your own, unique and inimitable Being.

This is how Love and Fear go from being abstract options to choose from and become something that can be experienced.

Every smallest particle of God can feel what it means to manifest its own divinity. What does it feel like to choose to be God?

With the emergence of feelings, Being-In-Choice is created.

The Path to Developing a Sense of Self: Evolution

The Absolute is unlimited Knowledge. He knows from the beginning that He is God. Every part of him knows this. And another trap arises on the path of conscious choice of one’s own divinity.

If you already know that God is, you cannot choose to be God.

Then the Absolute “limites” itself. Or rather, their parts. In order for each individual part to make the conscious choice to be God, it “forgets” its divine essence.

She remains a particle of God, but loses knowledge of it. Now every particle of the Absolute can rediscover its divine essence. Find out and feel that she is Love, Reason and Will. A long path of self-determination, the choice of one’s thoughts, words and actions, one’s state of Being, leads to such knowledge and feeling. This is how the evolution of your soul occurs.

At the same time, in fact, not a single “materialized”, physically manifested part of the Absolute loses its connection with God completely. Each part of the Absolute, immersed in materiality, remains a multidimensional being, manifested not only in the “physical”, but also in the “subtle” worlds. Through “subtle bodies” there is a constant exchange of energy and information, maintaining your intangible connection with the Divine. It is this connection that reminds you of the purpose of your evolution.

Through the “forgetting” of particles about its true essence, the Absolute forms the main evolutionary path:

  • From smallness to divinity.
  • From emptiness to fullness.
  • From separation to Unity.

The entire Universe follows this main path. And since this path has a beginning and an end, then, accordingly, every process in our world has a beginning and an end. The finitude of the Universe is a natural result of the existence of the evolutionary path.

But the Absolute exists outside of time! Therefore, the finitude of the Universe created by him is transformed into its cyclicity. The universe arises, goes through a full evolutionary path... And dissolves in the Absolute in order to arise again. “Breath of Brahma” - the ancient Indian Vedas call this process.

So, as a result of creating an evolutionary path, the completeness and cyclical nature of all the processes that you observe around you appears.

The evolution of our Universe starts with the Big Bang.

The Absolute literally creates the entire Universe from itself. A Universe in which each part of It can go from separation to Unity.

Every smallest particle of the Absolute has the opportunity to recognize itself as God.

The evolutionary path is the path of knowledge of one's own divinity.

Question of questions [↑]

Why did G-d create this world? This is one of the most important questions that every person should find out the answer to. Only if we know why the Almighty created the world can we best perform our function in this world.

Being in the world, we, on the one hand, see this world moving as usual, according to natural laws, and it seems to us that it does not seem to need a Source and “supervision” from Above. On the other hand, a person’s consciousness and observation of the world tells him that there cannot but be a deep meaning in all this. That there is a pattern, justice, design, that everything happens in accordance with deep wisdom and great grace. Having realized this, a person understands that he must look for this meaning, coordinate his life with it, that this is his task in life and the purpose for which he was brought here.

The sages of the Talmud, commentators, and Kabbalists talk about the meaning and purpose of Creation. This is discussed in detail in the book “Zohar” and in the book “Etz Chaim”, containing the Secrets of the Torah received from the great Ari. Ramhal devoted especially much attention to this issue in his books “Derech Hashem” and “Daat Tvunot”.
