Help from St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky

If your Soul is not nourished and exercised in prayer daily, it becomes weak. She becomes dissatisfied, confused and restless. ~ Billy Graham

In Orthodoxy, as in other traditions, there are saints who provide assistance in all-round matters. Of course, there is a Saint who helps resolve concerns related to financial difficulties; to get out of poverty, to solve the housing problem - for his help with housing, this Saint is even called “the mayor of all cities.” His name is Saint Spyridon

, Bishop of
Trimifuntsky
(Salamin).

Spiridon Trimifuntsky

Even during his lifetime he was a great miracle worker; you can read about His life and miracles (including modern ones - from the reviews of readers of this project) below - they are numerous and convincing. Those whose faith is already strong enough, and whose suffering is hungry and does not tolerate delays, should immediately begin a prayerful appeal in order to obtain a quick (believe me real) saving result.

Prayer to Spyridon of Trimifuntsky

Focusing your mind on Me alone, immerse your consciousness in Me. So you will abide in Me, there is no doubt about it. ~ Bhagavad Gita 12.8

The best would be to read the akathist to the saint for 40 days in a row, but not everyone can do this. Not everyone who takes on such a feat is able to master it and achieve the desired result. In addition, akathists are not read during fasting. Whereas the prayer can be read at any time. It will be favorable to purchase (for better concentration of attention, and not necessarily in church) an icon with the Image of St. Spyridon. Addressing the Image of the icon (meditatively - out loud or mentally), formulate your request. Then read the prayer:

O blessed Saint Spyridon! Beg the mercy of our God, the Lover of Mankind, to forgive us for our iniquities, and to deal with us according to His mercy. Ask us, the children of God (names), from the Cross and God for our peaceful and happy life, mental and physical health. Deliver us from all spiritual and physical troubles, from all yearnings and the devil’s slander. Remember us at the throne of the Almighty and beg the Creator to grant us forgiveness of many of our sins, grant us a rich and peaceful life, grant us a worthy and peaceful death and eternal bliss in the future, so that we constantly send glory and thanksgiving to the Father and the Son and the Spirit Holy, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Or like this:

To the Bishop of God, Saint Spyridon, miracle worker! I pray to You, servant of God (name), seek mercy from God and our Savior, and through your prayers grant me (the content of the petition) forgiveness of all my sins. Amen.

Read the prayer (as stated above in the quotation from the Bhagavad Gita) focusing on Saint Spyridon. It’s good if you light a candle, the candle should be made of wax, the wax of the candle is a sacrifice to the Lord through Saint Spyridon. The prayer should be read daily until the issue is resolved; and he will make up his mind, believe me. Pray and you will definitely find your WEALTH.

Also, I would recommend, for obligatory reading, the troparion* to Spyridon, in gratitude for the miracle that He performed for you (after all, if you believed, then this was already the beginning of Orthodox miracles in your life). Troparion:

At the First Council, you appeared as a champion and wonderworker, God-bearing Spyridon, Our Father. In the same way, you cried out to the dead in the tomb, and you turned the serpent into gold, and you always sang holy prayers to you, You had angels serving you, most sacred. Glory to Him who gave you strength, glory to Him who crowned you, glory to Him who heals you all.

*A troparion is a short prayer chant..., in this case revealing the essence of the saint being glorified. And if you want to express your gratitude to Saint Spyridon, read His troparion. Let it (the troparion) be that invisible thread that connects you with the Holy One.

Further, as promised above, here you can learn about some interesting (observations) facts about the life of the Saint, which may not be very useful for forming your most complete idea of the picture/image of the world (WORLD - Matrix of Information Development).

Life of Spiridon of Trimifuntsky

Spiridon healed terminally ill people, healed not only physical but also mental ailments, cast out demons and other possessors, and also raised the dead (as you can see, you can ask Spiridon not only for money or housing, but also for health and deliverance from sins ). Saint Spyridon also owned siddhis* (*Siddhis - super abilities) that give power over the power of the forces of nature (in his biography there are cases when water parted before him). Spyridon of Trimifuntsky happened

(according to the official version) from a simple family, at one time he was an “ordinary” shepherd, and here, let me draw your attention to the fact that in “Vedic” times only a shepherd had the right to eat the milk of a cow and only what was left after calf!
A cow (let it be known to you) is an animal whose milk is the only product in the Universe (according to the scriptures), with daily consumption of which a person can very quickly and rapidly develop the subtle tissues of the brain, which are called “Vigyan-maya-kosha”. Vijnana means spiritual action. Vigyan Maya is what is responsible for our spiritual and moral actions. Apparently, it is no coincidence that Spyridon is a Saint, because being “just” a shepherd he had the opportunity to taste live milk (the milk must be fresh and, naturally, from a cow that will not be slaughtered (after all, according to the Vedas, time is cyclical, and therefore the order of action does not matter - drinking milk in the future of a slaughtered cow is drinking dead milk)). And in order to become a shepherd, He had to have certain karmic merits; this very fact “speaks” of His piety (about the energy accumulated in previous births, or brought from the spiritual world - “Grace”). But according to the official version, Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky
was simply a shepherd, and that is why he is depicted in a shepherd’s hat - so similar to the Vedic symbol of the Universe - the Pine Cone; the blossoming Egg of Creation (Brahma, coincidence?). Also, according to the official sect* (*sekta - school, teaching), Spyridon did not have any education, probably for this reason the Saint (on old icons) was depicted with a book - emphasizing His “illiteracy” :))... or still everyone conveys information/knowledge to the best of their awareness (and alas, everything that is not clear to the scribes is cut out of context), and you and I have to collect knowledge using puzzles. Well, what can you do, let’s collect it, after all, this is God’s will.

Saint Spyridon

, like everyone who adheres to the Vedic canons, understood that the Lord does not need human suffering, but needs Life in His (God) Name - life in Joy (after all, if a person is healthy, which is the flesh and blood of the Most High, then the Lord is also healthy), therefore , always helped people solve their financial problems. For example: there is such a life-changing miracle that was performed by Saint Spyridon:

One day, a farmer in need of money to buy grain with which he intended to sow his lands turned to Bishop Spyridon for help. Due to a lack of funds and not seeing a way to solve his problem, he had already lost all hope, since the merchant from whom he could borrow grain required a large deposit, and the farmer did not have the money for this. Spyridon told him not to despair and to hope for the help of the Creator. The next morning, Spiridon himself came to the poor man and brought him gold, saying, “Give this money to the merchant and take the grain, and when you reap the harvest and you have a surplus of grain, buy this pledge and bring it to me.” The farmer did just that. After sowing the grain and harvesting the harvest, which, through the prayers of the holy wonderworker Spyridon, turned out to be incredibly rich, he bought the gold and brought it to his benefactor. Spyridon, taking the gold, invited the farmer to go into the garden in order to thank the One who took pity on him and so generously lent him money. Entering the garden, St. Spyridon made a prayer, according to which a miracle was performed - a piece of gold suddenly moved, turning into a snake, which crawled into its hole. And all this was done before the eyes of the astonished farmer, so that he would be confident in the power of the Lord and thank Him, who always cares about us.

Elena Lisitsyna “I was unable to pay the debt for the apartment and lived in constant fear”

In the first years of my life in Israel, due to ignorance of the laws, and more because of my recklessness, I made several big mistakes, one of which, entailing serious consequences, was buying an apartment through a brokerage office where people of dubious reputation worked, immigrants from the former Soviet Union. Realizing that they were dealing with a lonely woman who had recently arrived in the country, when buying an apartment they deceived me to the maximum. I realized this, of course, too late. The monthly payment for the apartment increased every year and in the third year it reached the level of my monthly salary. I have three sons, the two eldest helped me for the first year, but soon the middle son was drafted into the army, and the eldest son died in an accident. I was left with my young son.

I decided to leave the apartment for sale to the bank, because after the death of my son and serious problems I could not do this myself. The bank sold the apartment for half its value, and I had to pay the remaining $70,000. I was unable to pay this debt and lived in constant fear. According to Israeli law, for failure to pay the debt to the bank, I could face one of three things - either I could be sent to prison, or all my property would be confiscated, or my bank account would be seized and closed, and my access to opening an account in other banks would be blocked.

The Lord brought me to the holy Church through the death of my son. Although I was baptized from infancy, I was not a church member, and from the time the priest performed the funeral service, I never missed a single service, I went to confession and received communion. The people from the parish were very friendly, everyone knew about my problem with debt and everyone tried to advise something, support with a kind word, someone secretly put money in my pocket to live on. And one servant of God, Julia, advised to pray to St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky. She told me this: “Read the akathist to Spyridon of Trimifunt, it helps. He helped my friend in Ukraine; she had a big debt.”

I didn’t know who Spiridon Trimifuntsky was then, and I couldn’t pronounce “Trimifuntsky” correctly. But suddenly I see: an akathist to this saint is being sold in a church bookstore! I started reading the akathist every day, I read it and believed without a doubt that it would help me. I was especially impressed by the lines:

“We sing praises to you, Holy Hierarch of God, for you have surprised the world with the miracles flowing from your holy relics. All who come with faith and kiss them receive all the good things they ask for.”

And I decided to go to his holy relics. I still can’t understand how I ended up with the necessary amount of money for a trip to Greece. My friends, brothers in Christ, laboring on Mount Athos, in the cell of St. Spyridon at the Bulgarian monastery of Zograf, recommended me to a Russian-speaking family in Athens - the Pontians, and asked them to accept me and help if possible. The Temirdzhioklis family turned out to be very religious. These people accepted me as a member of their family, helped me in many ways, took me to the bus station and put me on a bus to Corfu.

I arrived in Corfu late in the evening and, after spending the night in a hotel, in the morning I went to look for the treasured temple. I can’t convey my state when I found it - it was like in a dream, it was hard to believe that I was in the temple where the relics of my intercessor, the great Saint Spyridon of Trimythos, rested! My heart was pounding, excitement, joy, tears. A temple full of people. I see a Russian group of pilgrims, our priests. Father Irakli writes me into the list and serves a prayer service to the saint with an akathist. Finally, they open the edicule containing the holy relics! I stand in a long line, venerate and kiss the holy foot in a red suede shoe, again and again I stand in line and venerate the holy relics until the lid of the silver coffin is closed. I spent the whole day next to my saint, read the akathist, prayed tearfully, asked for intercession and help. I saw how one possessed woman could not venerate the coffin, how an invisible force pushed her away, and maybe only the tenth time she was able to venerate the coffin. In the evening I was pushed out of the edicule and the temple was closed, and I returned to Athens.

With God's help and the help of my Pontian friends, I was able to visit many holy places in Greece, after which I returned safely to Tel Aviv. She continued to live her normal life, with faith and hope she continued to read the akathist to Spiridon of Trimifunsky. About a year has passed since I started praying to this saint. And so they call me to the bank, and I end up with a very attentive and kind bank employee. After talking with me and asking me everything in detail, he advised me to write a petition to the bank. Write sincerely everything that happened to me, describe all my problems, collect all the necessary information that, in my opinion, should help me and ask the commission to pardon me and not punish me harshly. I did everything as this kind man advised me.

After two months, this employee calls me and joyfully informs me that the commission has considered my petition and decided to forgive me almost the entire debt, leaving $5,000 for payment, which in one year, also with God’s help and St. Spyridon, she paid. It seemed that I should have jumped for joy at that moment when I was told such news, and I cried, I felt the Lord so close to me - a great sinner, I felt Him, like a touch that pierced my whole soul, I felt Him inexpressible love, endless mercy! Yes, of course, I was happy, but this is how my joy manifested itself.

And in gratitude to the Lord and my patron saint, I went to Corfu, to the monastery of St. Paraskeva, to Mother Photinia and worked in that monastery for the glory of God for some time, and when my youngest son finished his service in the army, I left the world and settled in one of the reconstructed monasteries in Bulgaria, as I promised the Lord and St. Spyridon. I thank the Lord for all the sorrows that He sent me so that I would take the path of salvation, I thank and forgive all my ill-wishers, through whom the Lord revealed my sins to me and punished me with love in a Fatherly way, I thank all the people who gave me a helping hand, all the priests through whom the Lord instructed and strengthened me in difficult times for me. I thank our prayer book and intercessor Saint Spyridon of Trimythous! Rejoice, Spiridon, great miracle worker!

Natalya Vavilova “My gastritis has worsened”

My story is very simple and humble. This is not a story about some amazing miracle. Nevertheless, the help St. Spyridon gave me was very significant and priceless for me.

I'll tell you in order. In May of this year (already passing) the relics of St. Spyridon of Trimythous were brought to us in Minsk. Until that moment, I knew nothing about the amazing saint. But my friend Katya and I decided to go to the Holy Spirit Cathedral and venerate the relics.

Before going to church, I looked up information about the saint on the Internet, read about his life, miracles and helping people. What touched me most was the story about Spyridon’s shoes: that every year the servants of the Greek temple in which the relics of the wonderworker are kept change his worn-out shoes. This means that even after his death, Spiridon walks around the world and helps the needy and sick.

In a church shop, my friend and I purchased oil blessed on the relics of St. Spyridon. And after worshiping his right hand, we were given small icons of the miracle worker. At home, I put all these valuables on the shelf where other icons and prayer books are stored. And for the time being... I forgot about them.

And in November, just before the Nativity Fast, my gastritis became very worse. The pain was such that I could not sleep peacefully at night. When it became really bad, I remembered the saint’s wonderful oil and anointed myself with it. As soon as I did this, my pain immediately went away. It’s amazing: it’s as if it never happened. A few days later the attack repeated. Once again, the holy oil helped me instantly.

To be honest, I'm not a very neat person. I don’t follow a diet for gastritis and try not to take medications. Therefore, it is quite natural that my attack repeated for the third time. Another thing is amazing: the patience of a saint. He came to my aid again. As soon as I anointed myself with oil, my pain immediately went away and I was able to fall asleep.

I had never read either akathists or prayers to the miracle worker before. Even during my illness, when I was especially ill, I turned to Saint Spyridon of Trimythous in my own words. To thank him for his help, I read the troparion, which was written on the icon donated in the temple. It seems to me that Saint Spyridon is very unselfish, merciful and trusting of people.

Saint, Father Spyridon, pray to God for us!

Veronica Andrienko “I came across prayers to St. Spyridon everywhere”

Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky

Thank God for everything! During the period of my churching, miracles happened in my life every day. A friend’s sister got sick, and I decided that I needed to pray for her (I, of course, did not yet know that I needed to take a blessing for this). I wasn’t smart enough to look into the prayer book; I looked for prayers on the Internet. And you know what page I don’t go to: everywhere I come across a prayer to St. Spyridon of Trimythous. At first I closed it and continued searching. But then at some point I clearly realized: this is a prayer to me!

I found and read the life of the saint, an akathist. The next day, after the evening service, I entered the icon shop without money, following a friend who needed to buy candles. While waiting, she decided not to go far and stopped near a shelf with books. In those days there were few of them, and I already knew exactly what was there. But for some reason I began to review them again. And suddenly I find a book that I haven’t seen before: about the life of St. Spyridon of Trimythous! A friend of mine, seeing my surprise and keen interest in this book, offered to lend me money and, I agreed, moved to pay for it. I saw no less surprise in the eyes of the woman who stood behind the counter. She claimed that such a book could not stand on the shelf... The miracles did not end there. In the next two days, I miraculously found an icon of the saint and the oil consecrated on his relics...

A month has passed since these events. It became a rule to turn to the saint in prayer. Due to the move, I needed to sell my car. There was no hope of success: the notorious events had just happened in Japan, and Japanese cars were not being bought at all. There are hundreds of cars at the car market... Early in the morning I put mine in the general row. I read the morning rule, akathist and prayers to St. Spyridon of Trimythous. 20 minutes later we bought the car! Miracle! There is no other explanation for this event. The event itself is, of course, everyday, worldly, vain, but how good and wise the Lord is, bringing us to Himself through such miracles, tearing us away from the world:

“Leave Thee, do not forsake me; go forth to seek me, lead me to Thy pasture and number me among the sheep of Thy chosen flock, educate me with them from the grain of Thy Divine Sacraments, through the prayers of Thy Most Pure Mother and all Thy saints. Amen".

Irina Vashurina “He already knows all our needs”

There has never been a single case where Saint Spyridon of Trimythous did not help our family! With his help we managed to build a house. Although the situation at first seemed completely hopeless. He helped us pay back bad debts.

You don’t even have to ask Saint Spyridon for anything, but simply read the akathist and pray to him. He already knows all our needs.

We thank you, Father Spyridone, for your help, even though we, sinners, are not worthy of it. God is marvelous in His saints. Holy Hierarch Father Spyridon, pray to God for us!

Konstantin Zagrebelny “I was sitting at home without work”

In my life, all the events associated with the name of St. Spyridon cannot be called anything other than a miracle.

His icon was given to my wife and me by a close relative who was not a church member and herself knew nothing about Spyridon. In the church shop she was told that Spiridon was the second most revered saint after Nicholas the Pleasant. This is a relative who handed over the icon and “relayed” it to us. When an icon of an unfamiliar saint is given by an unchurched person who does not observe fasts and is confused about the names of church holidays, this evokes a feeling that is far from reverent! But now I already know: the Lord chooses such paths and such guides for his Providence, this is a real miracle.

I was sitting at home without work, and I had time to scour the Internet in search of information about the life and miracles of the great saint. On one of the sites I read how a woman, asking the help of St. Spyridon for a job for her husband, read an akathist to the saint for forty days in a row, and miraculously her husband got a job that he had never dreamed of.

I decided to follow the example of this woman and began to diligently read the akathist to Saint Spyridon. Less than half of the scheduled time had passed before I received a job offer. It’s still temporary, but after a year and a half of inactivity it was a very joyful event! I, already working, continued my fervent prayer, and then my temporary offer miraculously grew into a full-fledged long-term job as the head of the organization. This work allowed me to make several trips to the island of Corfu and visit the incorruptible relics of the great saint and wonderworker Spyridon.

Saint Spyridon constantly helps me both as a guide on the road, and as a wise mentor, and as a doctor, and as an intercessor from misfortunes.

Truly wonderful is the Lord in His saints. Holy Father Spyridon, pray to God for us!

Tatyana Khaikina “For 15 years my relatives could not get an apartment”

Through the intercession of Saint Spyridon, the niece received a service apartment, and the four of them lived in one room! This happened after a year ago I gave her an icon of St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky and said that through his holy prayers similar miracles were performed. We prayed and ordered prayer services. And a year later the miracle happened. But they could not get an apartment for 15 years. This happened in Kaliningrad. Glory to the Lord and great gratitude to our intercessor Spyridon of Trimifuntsky!

Yulia Dudina “We really wanted to visit St. Spyridon in Corfu”

Saint Spyridon helped first me, and then my friend, to find her own home. My situation was absolutely hopeless, as it seemed to me: there was no money at all and no support. And her whole family collected money for her to buy a one-room apartment. As a result, we bought a two-room apartment; we still don’t understand how it happened. We prayed together to Saint Spyridon, and everything worked out better than we could even imagine.

We were so grateful to him for his prayers and intercession with the Lord! They thought about him with such warmth and really wanted to visit him in Corfu and thank him. We were going on vacation to Greece, but financially we could only afford to go to Chalkidiki, which is at the other end of Greece - very far from Corfu. We were looking for excursions from the Halkidiki peninsula to Corfu, but there were none. I had to reconcile myself, although my soul was eager to go there.

We arrived in Greece and on the first day our guide offered us a two-day excursion from Meteora to Corfu! We couldn't believe it. But that is not all! We got there for the feast of St. Spyridon! On one of the three holidays of the year, when a religious procession is held with his relics and numerous pilgrims come. And we didn’t know anything about it. I think the Lord and Saint Spyridon saw our aspiration and all our gratitude.

Our guide explained to us that in August there are a huge number of pilgrims, and they begin to allow people to visit the relics after 11 am, when the religious procession ends. That the crowd will be huge, and we won’t get through until one o’clock in the afternoon. And at one o'clock we will have to leave. But I believed that since we were able to get to Corfu, Saint Spyridon would help us with this too.

Procession with the relics of St. Spyridon. Corfu Island

We arrived in Corfu around 9pm, tired after driving all over Greece and visiting Meteora. The prayer service in the Church of St. Spyridon was supposed to begin at 5:30 am the next day. I knew that I would definitely go. The question was how to get there. The women who were going there ended up in another hotel, which was far from ours. At the reception they explained to me that I could walk there in about 20 minutes. I bought a map and looked at the route. It was a bit scary. At night I dreamed that I wouldn’t be able to get there, that I wouldn’t have enough strength, that I wouldn’t be able to find a place. At five in the morning there is no one to ask on the street. And in general, I’m in a foreign country in a completely unfamiliar place. But I prayed.

I leave the hotel at five in the morning. Dark. There's no one on the street. Foreign place, foreign country. I prayed to Saint Spyridon. And then the church bells rang, and I followed the ringing, knowing for sure that I would get there with God’s help. The owners of small shops showed me the way when I got confused. They didn’t speak English, but everyone here knows the name Spiridon. So I ended up at a prayer service, then at a liturgy, then a religious procession took place. I didn’t go to see it; I was advised to stay in the temple if I wanted to have time to approach the relics. But it was my friend who was not able to come to the liturgy! This is how we complemented each other.

After the religious procession in the church there were a lot of people from everywhere, there was a crush, but I managed to venerate the relics of the saint and venerate his boots.

On his holidays, after the religious procession, Saint Spyridon is seated on the throne, and you bow to him as he sits. Joy, joy and grace! When I left the temple, it was 12:45. At one o'clock the guide picked us up and we drove back across Greece. We flew like we had wings all day and there was no fatigue. This is how our dream of thanking Saint Spyridon “personally” came true. Isn't this a miracle?

Thank God for everything!

Tatyana K. “There were 5 of us in a room”

After our wedding, my husband and I lived for a long time with his parents in a two-room Moscow apartment in the same room as his sister’s family. 5 people in a room, 7 in an apartment. The relationship was good, but after 4 years of living together, tension could not help but grow.

The matter was complicated by the fact that the husband’s sister was registered in another apartment - in the near Moscow region. However, due to health reasons and other circumstances, I could not live there, and we rented out this apartment.

Church of the Resurrection of the Word in Bryusov Lane

After another quarrel, my nerves could not stand it, and my husband turned to the priest of our temple. He advised us to go to the Church of the Resurrection of the Word in Bryusov Lane, where there is a miraculous icon of St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky. Before we had time to go there, offers began to pour in: either to rent one room, or to live for free for several months in a friend’s apartment, from which the tenants had moved out. However, none of these options completely satisfied us. Timid offers to live in an apartment near Moscow were met with hostility by my mother-in-law, because the tenants “fed us.”

Finally, the expectation of change and the “suitcase mood” prevailed: I decided to go to Bryusov Lane to the temple recommended to me - just for reconnaissance for now. I went into the temple, lit candles, and ordered a prayer service for a date convenient for me. But before I had time to get to him, the very next day my husband announced that my mother agreed for us to move to the Moscow region. And in the evening of the day when I went to the liturgy and prayer service at the Church of the Resurrection, we had already begun transporting things to the new apartment. I am still amazed at how quickly God heard our prayers and arranged everything with the hands of St. Spyridon.

Maria Bezobrazova “You just have to turn to him in your thoughts - help comes right away”

The saint is our patron! Once you think about turning to him, help comes right away. In difficult life situations, he is our assistant. Thanks to the prayers of the saint, my husband’s salary was increased 2 times (!) during a difficult time for us. But he only invoked the name of the saint in his thoughts, as he became the first to receive such a high salary increase. The housing issue has been resolved - now we have our own apartment without any mortgages. The saint also helped us buy a good car for the meager money we had at that time. Constantly helps me in exams.

Holy Hierarch Father Spyridon, pray to God for us!

Olga S. “The nephew hated his grandmother”

I want to tell you about the help that I and my family received this year from St. Spyridon. In January, our family suffered a misfortune: either due to the use of “soft” drugs, or for some other reason, but my adult nephew suffered from psychosis.

It got to the point that he hated his grandmother - my mother - so much that, fearing for her life, I had to take her out of her own apartment. Mom was placed in a one-room apartment with her sister. The nephew’s position was murderous: it was time for grandma to leave—from life altogether. We understood, of course, that the man’s mind was damaged, but this did not make the pain for his mother any less. The question arose about a forced exchange of apartments through the courts so that my mother could at least somehow live in peace.

Here I remembered that I read on your website about the miraculous help with the housing problem of St. Spyridon. And I began to pray to this saint, since we have a large icon of him in our church. He helped us very quickly: my nephew returned to normal, my mother returned to her home apartment and, at 88 years old, found her own home for the second time!

We magnify you, Holy Hierarch Father Spyridon, and honor your holy memory, for you pray for us to Christ our God!

Ekaterina “I prayed for six months to get official housing”

A year and a half ago, I began to read the prayer of St. every day. Spiridon of Trimifuntsky about obtaining official housing. I read it every morning for six months. And a miracle! We got an apartment and have now been living in it for a year. God bless! I thank St. Spiridon for your help!

Ilya G. “We have been trying for many years to get the housing we are entitled to by law”

Perhaps my stories will not be the brightest, but I will still share them out of gratitude to St. Spyridon.

We have a large family. My wife and I are liquidators of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident. We lived in a one-room apartment of 17 square meters. m. We persistently and relentlessly tried for many years to get the housing we are entitled to by law. One of my friends advised me to seek prayerful help from St. Spyridon. We had never heard of this before. They also included prayers to St. Spyridon in their rule. And when the relics of the saint were brought to the Lavra in Kyiv, I received a piece of fabric from his slipper, which I have always carried with me since then. Omitting details, I will say that two years ago we received a 3-room apartment for free. Not a penny was given to any of the officials. All our friends did not believe it until the moment we received the warrant. In modern times, this event is a miracle.

Just recently, I, like many others, had difficulties with money. I was unemployed for a month and a half, and my family is large and everyone has a good appetite. When this streak passed and offers to earn money began to come in, I called my father and shared this news. The father was very happy: “Thank God! I so earnestly asked Spyridon of Trimifuntsky for help!” The next morning I saw on the windowsill opposite the head of the bed a small laminated icon of St. Spyridon, which was usually located in the bedroom, among other icons. I thought that my wife, having heard our conversation with my father, brought this icon from the bedroom. It turned out that the icon was brought from the bedroom on his own initiative and placed on the windowsill by his 4-year-old son after it somehow ended up lying on the floor.

Some would call it a coincidence or a coincidence. There is an interesting and instructive answer that the late Bishop Vasily (Rodzianko) gave to non-believers. He said that he prayed, and through prayer the Lord sent amazing miracles. Someone objected to him: these are not miracles, but simple coincidences. To which Bishop Vasily replied: “It may very well be coincidences. But when I stop praying, these “coincidences” also disappear from my life.”

I wish everyone strong faith and joy!

Natalya L. “Saints Spyridon and Nicholas are especially large stars in the divine sky”

Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky

On our path to the Lord, our saints strengthen us most of all in our faith! If there had not been this endless series of lamps of faith, there would have been no Orthodoxy. They are all different - like stars in the sky, big and small, but equally miraculous! And Saints Spyridon and Nicholas are especially large stars in the divine sky.

I immediately developed a particularly warm attitude towards Father Spyridon, because he was a formidable defender of the Orthodox faith. Both Catholics and Turks were ordered to travel to Greece for a long time.

He helped me several times. Here are two cases. About four years ago, something was wrong with me on the feminine side. I didn’t go to the doctors - I don’t like it, I just endured it. One day I began to read an akathist to Spyridon of Trimifund (as a novice knew that they had to be read). Suddenly I felt a ray coming from the icon down my stomach and cleaning out something there. With a sinking heart - I understood that something wonderful was happening - I continued reading, and soon the ray went away. After that, this health problem went away forever.

The second time I rushed to read the akathist to Father Spyridon was when my 23-year-old daughter was trying to get to the airport from Athens. That day, a strike and rallies began in the area of the hotel (something like the Maidan only against the European Union): everyone was barricaded around. The daughter calls in a panic: “Mom the plane is coming soon, but we can’t get out!” What to do?" I rushed to read the akathist to Father Spyridon, because Greece is his “jurisdiction.” Well, then, of course, you guessed it - everything is like clockwork! The hotel owner himself took them to the airport, arguing with the protesters, and on time. But the plane was canceled until the next day and my daughter and her friend were given a luxurious room. Father Spyridon gave them another wonderful day in Greece!

Glory to the Lord in His saints!

Nina “We lived in a rented apartment for six years, and we really wanted our own home”

I met this good saint in an unusual way. I came to a new church (I had previously gone to another one), and in the corner I saw an icon. Unfamiliar and outwardly old, darkened. The saint was looking at me from the icon, and I could not read his name. But I felt some kind of warmth and love from him. I wanted to stand next to her, pray, or at least watch, because I didn’t know who to pray to. I asked the auntie at the temple. She said something like: “Oh, this is an amazing saint, Spyridon of Trimythos. Read his life." I asked the name of the saint again to make sure I remembered it exactly. I read the life of the saint, which really moved me and seemed truly amazing.

And for a long time I had no solution to the problem of housing. For six years I lived with my husband in a rented apartment, a child was already born, and I really wanted my own home. But I was ashamed to ask God, because He already took care of us beyond what we asked. There was money for the apartment, a one-room apartment, but with a large area and in a new house, close to my parents and in a good area. For 6 years the owners did not evict us and did not touch us at all, they did not raise the rent. The food is amazing, nothing to complain about. Just thank you.

Here I learn that they also pray to Saint Spyridon of Trimythos about everyday everyday things, that he can help. Both his glance from the icon and the circumstances seemed to me not coincidental, and I decided to ask the saint to pray for us, and, if God pleases, let the issue of housing be resolved by the grace of God. She also asked for housing to be near the temple.

One day we were driving out of town and stopped at a church. I wanted to buy something as a souvenir. I look, next to me lies a small laminated icon of the saint! I asked my husband to buy it for me, I was very happy. Now I could pray to him at home and in general I felt somehow warm when I looked at this icon.

After some time, the housing issue was resolved. And not only did he decide, but, as always, he went above and beyond what was asked! Two wonderful temples nearby within walking distance, a park, infrastructure, renovations in the apartment and the apartment itself, as desired, even better.

And the owner of the rented apartment started talking about eviction, but the issue dragged on, and we managed to move to a new apartment without moving to an intermediate rented apartment. Too many coincidences. God is marvelous in His saints! It seems to me that it was not I who found his icon, but the saint himself who called me.

God bless! Praise to the Most Holy Theotokos! Thanksgiving and low bow to Saint Spyridon of Trimythos and all the saints and angels of God!
