Prayer to Spyridon of Trimifuntsky for money and well-being

The Greek saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky, a contemporary of Nicholas the Ugodnik, also belongs to the miracle workers. On the island of Corfu, where the relics of the saint rest, he is loved from young to old. The Wonderworker saved the islanders from imminent death more than once: both during the Turkish conquests and during the fascist bombings.

Prayer to Spyridon of Trimifuntsky for money and well-being always helps those who make a request with a pure heart and thoughts. This miracle worker never leaves prayers unanswered. I met the holy saint last summer, when my friend returned from the islands of Cyprus and Corfu and brought the shoes of St. Spyridon. This is what I want to tell you about in this article.

Who is Spiridon Trimifuntsky

Spyridon of Trimifuntsky is a saint to whom people turn for help in financial matters and ask for financial well-being. The means of conversion is usually prayer, but the result will be more effective if the person praying reads the akathist to the saint for 40 days, without a single omission. However, this ritual is complicated by the fact that the akathist itself has a voluminous text, which only the most stubborn person can cope with - many simply cannot stand it and get zero results. The disadvantage of this ritual is also that the akathist cannot be read during fasting. Therefore, I propose to use an alternative method and prefer a prayer for money and well-being to the akathist.

Reading rules

The prayer to Spyridon is much smaller in volume and can be read at any time - until your request is fulfilled by the saint. For these purposes, it is recommended to purchase an icon with the image of the saint from the church in advance.

Before you begin to pray, you need to light a candle in front of the icon of the saint - it is advisable that it be bought in the church. Next, turning to the saint, mentally or out loud you should formulate your request in your own words and only then proceed to say a prayer. It sounds like this:

There is also a more simplified version of the prayer for financial well-being:

Expression of gratitude

As a sign of gratitude and appreciation for the help provided, it is recommended to read the troparion to Trimifuntsky. His text:

A troparion is a short prayer chant that reveals the essence of a saint. The troparion will act as an invisible thread connecting you and the saint - rest assured, he will definitely help you in difficult times.

Life of the saint

In the Byzantine tradition, the hagiographer of the saint was Simeon Metaphrastus, the compiler of a whole corpus of lives of Byzantine saints; in Russian - St. Dimitry Rostovsky.

According to the life of the saint, he was born into a simple family on the island of Cyprus at the end of the third century. His family was not rich; Spiridon helped his parents from childhood by tending sheep. His type of righteousness was close to that of the Old Testament; he tried to be like the simple-minded shepherds of the Old Testament, “imitating David in meekness, Jacob in simplicity of heart, and Abraham in love for strangers.”

Little is known about the early years of the saint. He married a kind, pious woman, who soon died, leaving him a daughter, Irina.

After the death of his wife, during the reign of Emperor Constantine the Great (306 - 337), he was consecrated (ordained) bishop of the city of Trimifunt (Tremetusia), on the island of Crete. While in the rank of bishop, he remained an ascetic, living very modestly, combining devotion to the Lord and merciful deeds. The first miracle described in the Russian hagiography of the saint, performed through the prayer of St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky, was also akin to the Old Testament.

In the city where the saint lived there was a terrible drought, St. Spyridon took pity on the poor peasants, whose lives directly depended on the harvest, and prayed to the Lord for them. Through the saint’s prayer, the rain fell with such force that it saturated the earth for a long time. A rich harvest saved people from hunger. The miracle was remembered by the people. St. Demetrius of Rostov compares the prayer of the Saint with the prayer of the Prophet Elijah, who also had the power to cause rain, “locking or opening the heavens.”

St. Spyridon of Trimifunt was also endowed with a special gift of providence of souls; human thoughts were revealed to him. A certain woman, who was in fornication, wanted to wash the saint’s feet, thus repeating the acts of St. Mary Magdalene, who washed the Savior’s feet. But there was no repentance in her heart. St. Spyridon meekly told the woman what was going on in her soul and exposed the passion for fornication. Since then, she has completely changed and brought repentance.

The ascetic activity of Saint Spyridon of Trimythous is well known. The time of his episcopal service coincided with the flourishing of Christian communities; Emperor Constantine made Christianity the official religion of Constantinople and all of Byzantium. In the fight against the anti-Trinitarian heresy of Arius, the formation of dogmatics took place. Arius was an influential bishop; he taught his flock that Christ does not have the same nature with God the Father, but was created by Him.

The Russian hagiographer writes about the participation of St. Spyridon at the First Ecumenical Council, in the city of Nicaea, and about the dispute that the “unlearned” saint, led by divine grace, won over the philosophizing heretics.

Wanting to clearly demonstrate the doctrine of the Holy Trinity, St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky took out a burnt brick, showed it to those present, and then squeezed it in his hand, flames shot up from the brick and water spilled. The saint still had clay in his hand. “Behold, there are three elements, but the plinth (brick) is one,” said St. Spyridon then, “so in the Most Holy Trinity there are Three Persons, but the Divinity is One.”

He joined the Council Fathers, who professed the dogma of the uncreatedness of Christ, the Son of God.

There are known cases when St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky raised the dead. He brought back to life his daughter Irina and the dead child of a pagan woman, who later converted to Christianity.

St. Demetrius of Rostov writes:

The saint not only helped people, but exposed the evil in them, punishing them for sins, he gradually led a person through the three degrees of human service to the Lord. The first is the worship of a slave who serves the Lord out of fear, the second is the service of a hireling for a reward; the third is the ministry of the son, who serves God out of love.

Life of Saint Spyridon

Spyridon of Trimifuntsky is the most responsive saint, sent by God to help solve earthly problems. Prayer addressed to him can work miracles. This fact has been verified by many people more than once.

He was born and lived more than seventeen centuries ago in Cyprus into a poor family. By practicing the craft of a shepherd, Spiridon earned his daily bread. In all icons, his head is covered with a simple shepherd’s cap. Spiridon did not receive an education, but had a flexible mind, was surprisingly perspicacious and friendly to people.

[idvopros]

His fate was not cloudless. Spyridon knew hard work, poverty, and bitter losses, so he treated those in need with special sympathy and helped them in earthly and heavenly life. He became a bishop at an advanced age, having survived the death of his wife. The doors of his house in the city of Trimifunt were always open to those asking, whom he always helped with shelter and food. While in the episcopal rank, the saint continued to work humbly.

Miracles created

The miracles of the saint are recognized by the church as a historical fact and are not subject to doubt. There is plenty of contemporary evidence of this.

Thanks to pure and simple faith, every petition of Saint Spyridon of Trimythous found an immediate answer from the Lord. He was granted amazing power: the word of the saint tamed the elements, cast out demons, and healed the sick.

At the First Ecumenical Council, he, holding a brick in his hands, divided it into fire, water and clay. In this way the saint reinforced his words about the trinity of God. The miracles performed by Saint Spyridon are recognized by the church and documented.

To help a needy peasant, the saint turned an ordinary snake into a gold bar. Having purchased grain for sowing, the man received a good harvest, completely paid off his debts and came to the bishop to return the ingot. To his great surprise, after the prayer of Saint Spyridon, the gold bar turned back into an animal, which immediately crawled into a hole.

A noteworthy case was when the saint went with his companions to help an innocently convicted person. His path was blocked by a suddenly overflowing stream, which soon parted at the command of the saint. The judge who learned about this immediately released the innocently convicted man.

Socrates Scholasticus tells about another amazing incident from the life of Spyridon. At night, several robbers snuck into his sheepfold to steal sheep. The villains sat in it until the morning, because they were never able to get out of there. Having given them a sheep for being awake at night, Spyridon forgave the robbers and persuaded them to abandon their lawlessness.

Posthumous service

Saint Spyridon's earthly journey ended in prayer, since he knew the date of his death from God in advance. He was buried in the city of Trimifunt in the Church of the Holy Apostles. The incorrupt relics of the saint were transferred to Constantinople in the 7th century. From 1460 to this day, they rest on the Greek island of Kerkyra (Corfu) in a temple named after Spyridon of Trimifuntsky.

The saint's memorial day is celebrated by the Orthodox Church on December 25, and by the Catholic Church on December 14.

The time spent in the sarcophagus practically did not change the appearance of the saint. His body temperature remains at 36.6°C, and his hair and nails continue to grow. Every year, the temple servants change the saint’s clothes and shoes, which turn out to be worn out. St. Spyridon's shoes are given to Orthodox monasteries and churches around the world.

It is not always possible to get into the room where the sarcophagus is located: sometimes the lock jams, sometimes the key does not turn or may accidentally break. The priests claim that this happens when Saint Spyridon is not there. Sincere requests and prayers of those in need lift him up and force him to rush to help.

Prayers and conspiracies from Vanga for wealth

Prayers to attract wealth into life from the Bulgarian healer Vanga are in great demand

The great soothsayer never denied the importance of financial well-being in a person’s life

Raising money

In order to attract money into life, it is necessary not only to read a prayer, but also to perform a special ritual. First of all, the day before the money ceremony, visit the temple and collect blessed water there.

The ritual takes place early in the morning at sunrise

It is important not to eat or drink anything before the ceremony, and you should not wash your face. In a separate room, completely alone, you should place a glass of blessed water and a plate with a slice of black bread on the table in front of you.

The following prayer is said over these attributes:

“I, the Servant of God (proper name), know that my Lord fed all the hungry with a piece of bread. So I know it will help my family too. I ask you, Lord, to make sure that we do not know need, that there is always food in our house, and that prosperity reigns. I ask, Almighty and Merciful God, to show me the path to wealth, which will be for my good. I will humbly accept all your decisions and glorify you, and my wealth will not harm others. Amen".

This prayer must be repeated three times. You can’t stammer, so it’s better to memorize the text first. Then you need to break off a piece of bread and eat it, wash it down with holy water. The remaining bread should be broken and distributed to your family members.

To quickly return the money debt

To return the money that was borrowed from you, you need to use the following prayer of the Great Healer. Prayer words are said immediately before bed with a lit church candle.

They sound like this:

“Lord Almighty and Almighty, I ask You for help, Servant of God (proper name). My desire is not to enrich myself, but to guide my debtor, the Servant of God (name of the debtor), on the true path. Direct, Lord, with your hand on the right righteous path, so that he can quickly resolve his worldly problems and honor him with a blessed life. For myself, I only ask for the repayment of the debt, which will help me overcome worldly difficulties. Everything is Your will. Amen".

It is better to read this prayer in the morning and evening until the debt is repaid.

To find a high paying job

The seer Vanga offered many prayers so that a person could call good luck into his own life. Texts that help you find a well-paid job are still in great demand today. You need to pray to your Guardian Angel during the waxing moon. When pronouncing words, you must sincerely believe that they will be effective.

The ritual consists of taking a glass of blessed water in your hands and saying the following words:

“Bright Guardian Angel looking at me from heaven. I, the Servant of God (proper name), bow before your sincerity and purity. Help me, hear my request. Help me find a high-paying job and earn money. Help me succeed in life not for the sake of evil intent, but so that my life is filled with peace and prosperity. Bright Guardian Angel, your help is very important to me and my fate depends on it. I pray for the sake of all that is holy, grant me good luck. Amen".

Any prayers for money will be effective only if they are read by a sincere believer. It should be remembered that you should not resort to magic even in the most difficult financial situations, because this is a sin that will take a very long time to atone for.

Who can benefit from prayer to attract money?

Prayer will help those who need material wealth to satisfy their immediate needs. Those people who dream of easy money or who are haunted by the dream of becoming a billionaire should not pray for financial well-being. Such goals and thoughts in the Orthodox Church are a sin.

When praying to attract money, it is worth understanding why it is needed. In this case, it is not difficult to guess whether the requests will be fulfilled or not. And sometimes it is more important to understand yourself, your thoughts, feelings and understand what is more important: financial wealth or getting rid of mental anxiety.

Remember that the heavenly father hears all prayer requests, but only satisfies real needs.

Although there is an opinion that money does not buy happiness, without it in the modern world it is impossible to be a healthy, beautiful, educated and happy person. Therefore, with a lack of funds, we are forced to pray before the Lord, the saints, miracle workers and guardian angels. However, remember: in order for your requests to be heard, you do not need to sit at home and wait for inspiration. Move towards your goal, even in small steps. This is the only way you can get what you want. While relying on the Lord, do not lose faith in yourself!

Real examples and cases of miracles

Fyodor Sergeev: “Thanks to the prayers of St. Spiridon, interesting events happened in my life. I was baptized late, at 30 years old. At this age I had a problem related to purchasing my own home. At that time I prayed very often, read the akathist and even ordered prayer services. At first it seemed useless to me, but deep down I believed that it would help me. And it really helped me. I managed to find an apartment in Moscow very cheaply and buy it.

The next story is also related to housing. One day at work, my colleague came up to me and gave me a small icon, which, according to her, was brought to her from Greece. In the evening of that day, I learned that the authorities had transferred a three-room apartment through social assistance. Whether this is a coincidence or not, I don’t know.”

Tatyana Arsenyeva: “Prayers to Saint Spyridon really changed my life. Once upon a time, I decided to get a credit card in my name, from which I then began withdrawing money. The baby was born and I urgently needed money. As a result, debts accumulated and it became impossible to pay off.

Desperate, I went to church to confess and seek advice. The priest listened to me carefully and recommended that I pray to Spyridon. I started reading the akathist every day and after a week and a half the situation began to improve. I managed to sell the car and completely pay off my debts. It also helped me cope with the desire to make thoughtless and expensive purchases.”

Prayer to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker

When difficult life situations arise and there is a lack of money, believers often turn to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in prayer. If the request is not aimed at causing harm to others, the saint will never refuse help. Nikolai was born in a small town on the Mediterranean coast. From an early age, the boy devoted a lot of time to studying the Christian faith. Growing up, he distributed all his property to the needy and devoted himself to serving God. While in the rank of bishop, he waged an irreconcilable struggle against paganism and preached Christianity. After his death, the saint’s relics, which had healing powers, were transported to Italy. Nicholas the Wonderworker is considered the patron saint of orphans, sailors and travelers. They ask the saint for good luck, luck in any situation. The prayer in this case looks like this:

If you need help with your work, prayer to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker will be excellent support for achieving your goals. If possible, you should visit the temple, and additionally read prayers at home

It is important to do this regularly, in a secluded room with a lit church candle. There is no need to tell friends and family about your requests to the saint.

Prayer will be effective only if the soul of the person asking is free from envy and other negative emotions. Before starting a complex project, you can read the following prayer:

It is allowed to supplement the prayer text with your own words, expressing your requests in a more specific form. Reading prayers acquires special power on St. Nicholas Day, May 22.

There is a special prayer for money to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, which has great power. Usually it is read on Thursday, and it is advisable to visit the temple. The text has powerful energy to attract money and well-being in general:

Prayer will be effective only if a person turns to the saint without harming others. If the thoughts of the person asking are selfish and aimed at attracting easy money, you should not expect help from St. Nicholas.

Important tips for those praying for money

When turning to patron saints with requests for well-being and money, it is necessary to remember the true purpose of prayer texts. Each prayer, just like any church Sacrament, helps to cleanse the human soul and helps build a dialogue with the Almighty. Therefore, the attitude of the person praying must be serious; pride and greed are categorically denied.

The Almighty will support the one who sincerely reads or listens to the prayer addressed to him. Strong prayer for money is a reliable means, by resorting to which any true believer can attract money if he really needs it at the moment.

When praying for attracting money to the family, you should know that money for the sake of money has no meaning or value. The meaning and purpose of money is good deeds and helping others. For this purpose, the saints are asked to increase the amount of money - not out of simple greed and money-grubbing. Money cannot be a goal, it is always only a means...

Some legends about the miracles of the saint

There are numerous stories about the miracles of Saint Spyridon. He devoted his entire life to mercy and was always distinguished by his special attitude towards the poor and disadvantaged. To describe all his extraordinary deeds in this material is (practically) impossible work, so as an example I will give only his most amazing deeds.

For example, there is a well-known legend about how Spiridon once helped a poor peasant who did not have the money to buy grain from a rich merchant. He promised to help him and the next morning he brought the farmer a whole pile of gold and made him promise to repay the debt after the harvest. The harvest turned out to be so bountiful that the farmer, using his surplus, easily bought back from the merchant the previously left deposit of gold borrowed from Spiridon. The peasant gratefully returned the debt to the saint, and he led him into the garden, offering to thank the one who had distinguished himself with such great generosity. The saint put the gold on the ground and said a prayer - before the eyes of the astonished farmer, the wealth turned into a snake, which calmly crawled into its hole. Thus, the gold, previously turned into a snake, took on its original form.

Another amazing story tells how the bishop performed the ritual of resurrecting the dead. An inconsolable mother, whose only child had died, turned to the bishop. After praying, he brought the baby back to life. But suddenly, from sudden happiness, the woman herself died. However, the saint was able to resurrect her.

Ikos 12

We sing praises to you, O saint of God, for you have surprised the world with miracles flowing from your holy relics. All who come with faith and kiss them receive all the good things they ask for. And we, who gave you strength, who crowned you with the crown of incorruption and who through you glorifies God, cry out to you:

Rejoice, during the famine you appeared as a shipbuilder and ordered food to be delivered; Rejoice, you who have given sight to the blind, who have flown with faith to your holy relics.

Rejoice, you who healed the youth from the incurable illness; Rejoice, you who cast out the demon from your wife and created health for her.

Rejoice, chosen governor of Kerkyra; Rejoice, for you drove out the hordes of the evil Hagarians and sank their ships into the abyss.

Rejoice, for you saw him surrounded by a host of Angels, holding a sword in his right hand and causing his enemies to tremble; Rejoice, build yourself a temple in which to celebrate the Liturgy on unleavened bread, forbidden by the governor.

Rejoice, having struck down the Latin governor with cruel death; Rejoice, you who burned his image in a house in Venice with lightning.

Rejoice, you who have put to shame the apostasy and false wisdom of the West; Rejoice, having established the one Orthodox faith to be true and saving for people.

Rejoice, Spyridone, wonderful miracle worker.

How to place icons

Today, a variety of options for the arrangement of icons in the house are allowed. It is important that this place is located away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Only then will you be able to fully concentrate on prayer. It is good to place all the relics in one room - living room or bedroom. The child’s name shrine should be hung in the room where he sleeps. Then the baby will begin to get used to the concepts of religion and faith from childhood.

The main points for placing images:

  • It’s good if you hang icons in the eastern corner of the house. All Christian churches were built according to an identical principle. During prayer, a person turns his face to the rising Sun. This indicates the saving power of turning to the Almighty.
  • If the layout of the house does not allow you to use the eastern corner of the home, hang the icons on the right side of the wall, located opposite the front door.
  • In the corridor, relics are placed above the front door or to the right of it. As a rule, this is how the image of the Virgin Mary “Seven Arrows” or “Oranta” is hung.
  • In a nursery, the icon should be placed opposite the eyes of the baby in bed.

Modern miracles

I would like to tell you about one wonderful incident, a witness, or one might even say, a participant in which I myself was. In 2000, from the Radonezh pilgrimage service, I went to the holy places of Greece. In Kerkyra, in the church of St. Spyridon, we asked the priest for a blessing to collect oil from the lamp at the shrine with the relics of the saint. The group believed that it was better than store-bought. We took the oil with a syringe and poured it into bottles we had prepared in advance.

The group was large, everyone was crowding together, trying to quickly gather, someone carelessly touched the lamp, and the remaining oil spilled. Everyone was very upset because of our awkwardness, but one woman was especially upset - she was last in line and she didn’t get a single drop

I decided that I would pour her some of mine. She was holding an empty bottle in her hands, and it suddenly began to fill up on its own! This happened in front of our entire group, so there were a lot of witnesses to this miracle. We were all literally shocked. On the bus we remembered the incident when St. Spyridon’s lamp filled itself. All things are possible for God and His saints.

I thank the Lord and Saint Spyridon for allowing me to witness this miracle!

I, sinful and unworthy of r. Elena of God, in 2002, she tried for a long time to exchange a one-room apartment for a two-room apartment. There were many problems, because... they offered places that were far from the metro or expensive. One day my sister (she serves in the temple) called me and asked how I was doing. I replied that nothing was working out. Then she advised me to order a water-blessing prayer service to St. Spyridon of Trimifunt, which I did. Literally a week later we were offered an excellent option at a reasonable price. The move was scheduled for December 25, the saint’s feast day. Through the prayers of St. Spyridon, everything worked out for us. I think about this often and am very grateful to him. Thank God for everything!

Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky, pray to God for us.

In 2007, the relics of St. Spyridon were brought to the Danilovsky Monastery in Moscow. More than 1,300,000 Russians came to venerate the relics of the saint. Here are the stories of some of them, published in the book “Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky” published by the Danilovsky Monastery.

A pregnant woman came to the right hand of Saint Spyridon at the Danilov Monastery. She said that she and her husband dreamed of a child, she visited many doctors, but for seven years their marriage remained fruitless. They prayed to St. Spyridon and other saints, and, contrary to the predictions of doctors, a miracle happened.

The woman came to thank the saint.

One financial structure bought a non-operating sanatorium in the Moscow region. On its territory there is a temple and the abbot’s house. Unexpectedly, the new owner decided to build a parking lot on the site of the priest’s house. He did not make concessions and did not even want to discuss this issue. The priest’s large family was faced with a fact: the house would be demolished and a parking lot would be built. The priest turned to Saint Spyridon with prayer, and the saint did not leave him.

Arriving at the Danilov Monastery to the relics of St. Spyridon, the priest met a man who turned out to be a friend of the new owner of the sanatorium; this man was very surprised by the behavior of his friend and promised to help. After some time, he and the owner of the territory came to the priest for a conversation to resolve the current situation.

On Sunday, April 22, I went to the Danilov Monastery for the Feast of the Myrrh-Bearing Women. And when approaching the monastery, by chance (although there is nothing accidental in this world) I find out that the relics of Spyridon of Trimythous were brought to the monastery (I rarely watch TV and didn’t know about this). What a blessing it is that I visited the monastery that day and venerated the relics!

And the next day, Monday, April 23, our youngest son called us, and I joyfully told him that the relics of St. Spyridon had been brought to Moscow and I was in the Danilov Monastery on Sunday. My son says to me in such a tired, sick voice: “Pray, mom, for my salvation.” It turns out they were on the water and capsized. God bless! Everyone floated out, everyone was alive and well.

And I, not knowing about it, went to the monastery the day before, when something led me there. Indeed, the ways of the Lord are mysterious!

On Tuesday, April 24, I went to the monastery again. I ordered a prayer service of thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for saving my son’s life and a prayer service to Saint Spyridon of Trimifunt from my parents.

And give me strength to do it for the good of Your kingdom.

Biography of Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky

And although little is known about the life of the saint, something is still preserved in church records. Spiridon was born into a respected and wealthy Greek family in Cyprus. He was accustomed to work from an early age, tending cattle alone in the meadows. In childhood and youth, although he was a believer, he did not think about serving God, but he changed his mind when he lost his wife.

Having lost his family early, Spiridon, however, was never alone. There were always people for whom he was a protector and helper. He did not give up work, even becoming a bishop and receiving the temple under his jurisdiction. Spiridon continued to graze cattle and created a vegetable garden at the monastery so that the monks and clergy would not feel the need. But at the same time, everyone received what they earned, and not according to their status.

Spyridon of Trimifuntsky often lent money, but he never demanded it in return, but on the contrary, he often forgave and forgot debts. Left alone after the loss of his wife, Spiridon went to wander, sold all his property and distributed the proceeds to those in need free of charge. His kindness and generosity are still revered to this day.

Restrictions

It is prohibited to place icons near a TV, tape recorder or other household appliances. Shrines should not alternate with photographs, books, paintings, posters, panels, decorative items, etc. In addition, many theologians recommend placing icons on a shelf rather than hanging them on the wall. Remember that if you buy an icon just to show off, it will bring you bad luck.

Some people like to carry an icon in their wallet. Such an action is a big mistake, as it will not bring anything good. You should give icons with goodness in your soul, then the person will be happy.

Moreover, during his life the miracle worker not only helped the suffering, but also punished sinners. Therefore, you can only turn to Spiridon with a pure soul and thoughts, without the desire for profit or excessive wealth.

Since the saint spent his whole life cultivating fields and herding sheep, and also changing the weather, people turn to images when there is a crop failure. His icons are revered by farmers and people engaged in simple physical labor. The Wonderworker is considered the patron saint of poor, suffering people.

Spyridon is known for his fight against heresies and the firmness of his faith, because even when his young wife died, he did not become callous or become despondent. Therefore, the saint is asked for solutions in difficult life circumstances, protection from temptations and strength to follow his path. Spiridon is able to fill a lost soul with hope.

Often, pilgrims turn to the icon of St. Spyridon with a request for:

  • Solving financial difficulties
  • For problems with difficulties
  • Resolving legal and property issues
  • Resolving family problems
  • Guidance when making important decisions

The main thing when praying should be a person’s pure thoughts. After all, an appeal to the Saint should be directed disinterestedly and piously. Fervent and heartfelt prayer will definitely be heard by the Lord. Many people wait a long time for help from the Saint, and for some it comes very quickly. Everything depends on our faith.

Never forget that when you ask for something, you must also thank it. There are many prayers of thanksgiving and they need to be used. After all, it is necessary not only to constantly receive, but also to give.

Prayers

“O blessed Saint Spyridon! Beg the mercy of God, the Lover of Mankind, not to judge us for our iniquities, but to deal with us according to His mercy. Ask us, God's servants (names), from Christ and our God for a peaceful and serene life, mental and physical health. Deliver us from all spiritual and physical troubles, from all yearnings and the devil’s slander. Remember us at the throne of the Almighty and beg the Lord to grant us forgiveness of many of our sins, a comfortable and peaceful life, and grant us a shameless and peaceful death and eternal bliss in the future, so that we may continually send glory and thanksgiving to the Father and the Son and To the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen".

“O all-blessed Saint Spyridon, great servant of Christ and glorious miracle worker! Stand in Heaven before the Throne of God with the faces of an Angel. Look with your merciful eye at the people present here and those asking for your strong help. Pray to the compassion of God, the Lover of Mankind, not to judge us according to our iniquities, but to deal with us according to His mercy! Ask us from Christ and our God for a peaceful and serene life, mental and physical health, earthly prosperity and all abundance and prosperity in everything, and may we not turn the good things given to us from the generous God into evil, but into His glory and the glorification of your intercession !

Deliver all who come to God through undoubted faith from all spiritual and physical troubles, from all yearnings and the devil’s slander! Be a comforter to the sad, a physician to the sick, a helper in times of adversity, a protector to the naked, a protector to widows, a protector to the orphans, a nourisher to the baby, a strengthener to the old, a guide to the wandering, a sailing helmsman, and intercede to all those who require your strong help, even useful for salvation! For if we are guided and observed by your prayers, we will reach eternal rest and together with you we will glorify God, glorified in the Trinity of Saints, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen".

Troparion, kontakion

Troparion to Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky, wonderworker, voice 1

At the Council of Pervago, you appeared as a champion and wonderworker, / Our Father to God-bearing Spyridon. / Moreover, you cried out to the dead in the grave / and you turned the serpent into gold, / and you always sang holy prayers to you, / you had angels co-serving with you, most sacred. Glory to Him who gave you strength,/ glory to Him who crowned you,/ glory to Him who works through you healing to all.

Kontakion to Saint Spyridon of Trimythous, Wonderworker, Tone 2

Vulnered by the love of Christ, most sacred, / your mind was fixed on the dawn of the Spirit, / through your diligent vision you found your deed, O God-accepting, / the Divine altar became, / asking for the Divine radiance to all.
