The holy martyr Tryphon was born approximately in 250 in Phrygia, which is one of the regions of Asia Minor. His native village was located near the city of Apamea. The boy's family was the most ordinary Orthodox family, but from birth he had amazing abilities to cast out demons. He could also heal people from various diseases.
According to various church traditions, Saint Tryphon saved entire villages from natural disasters and destruction through his fervent prayers. People constantly came to him in order to get rid of evil spirits and demons. Tryphon helped hopelessly ill people get back on their feet and restored reason to the insane.
Today, believers often turn to Saint Tryphon when they are plagued by failures in life and problems arise in a variety of everyday spheres of life.
