My acquaintance with him took place in his personal garage on the Petrograd side. Even by today's standards, the garage was impressive: it was located on the ground floor of a residential building, had windows and steam heating, and the owner's black Volga was modestly located in the far corner. One morning in 1979, Philadelphia resident Helen Tillotson was awakened early in the morning by a knock on her door. It was her mother, who lived in the house opposite. Alarmed, Helen began to find out what had happened.

Christianity and some other religions convince their supporters that Higher powers assign to each person an incorporeal, invisible, intelligent being, called, firstly, to protect him from various misfortunes, and secondly, to keep a strict record of all his good and bad deeds in order to present then these multi-ton “deeds” at the Last Judgment.
Personally, I long ago gave up on these kindly higher powers, having seen only footage of a military chronicle: the Germans bombed a ship on which children from Leningrad were evacuated through Ladoga, and the footage showed for several long seconds how hundreds of children's panama hats were swinging on the water. But these higher powers had to force the German pilot to press the bomb release lever only a second later! What did the kids from the school in Aberfan do?
But if you don’t want to think about it, let me remind you of another irrefutable fact: every year millions of people die during natural and man-made disasters, in car, air, railway and sea accidents, under bricks and icicles falling from roofs, from terrorist bullets and maniacs. And where is the highest justice in this? And only a tiny part of people, less than a thousandth of a percent, sees a “prophetic dream” or receives some kind of premonition that allows them to avoid premature death.
So let's leave religious tales to the believers and try to find other, more specific, our guardians, alas, working with the same low efficiency.
When I took on this problem, I analyzed several hundred cases received or heard from eyewitnesses, and published in numerous media. And he discovered that the guardians were not of angelic nature at all. Their list is small: these are relatives and friends, friends, acquaintances (very rarely strangers, but without wings). And let us pay special attention to this - both the living and the dead. And there are more of the latter.
But these hundreds of cases do not convince official science of anything, nor will hundreds of thousands - it will continue to consider them a mere coincidence. After all, foreseeing future events is impossible - and that’s the whole story.
Therefore, I will try to give these and other similar stories a purely unscientific explanation. Let this be a hypothesis, but there is simply no other explanation.
At the end of the last century, French researchers showed that Homo sapiens consists of a physical body and some subtle (now we will say field) intelligent substance, capable in some cases of semi-autonomous existence and becoming completely autonomous after the death of the physical body. Call it what you want, that’s not the point.
The main problem is that this field that forms this structure is unknown to modern science - this is the task of the science of the Future. I just want to remind you that the field or energy structure exists outside of our usual time. Everything here is based on physics - time, for example, for a quantum of an electromagnetic field is zero. Consequently, both the Past and the Future of our three-dimensional world are equally accessible to such a structure. And at the same time, it exists in its own virtual or, if you like, astral world.
It is this “astral” half of us, for example, during sleep, that can look into the Future and become a witness to future events.
And then an unexpected problem arises: how to warn your physical soul mate, or another person, about the impending danger? Paradoxically, this duality of ours does not allow us to do this. For now, for the sake of simplicity, let us accept that the physical body is responsible for consciousness, and the astral body is responsible for the subconscious (the term is imprecise, but understandable and familiar). This is how we are structured, that information from consciousness passes into the subconscious according to the principle of a semiconductor - there is no return. Otherwise we would all turn into patients in a madhouse.
An ordinary, normal, mentally healthy person in the vast majority of cases is deaf to warnings about impending danger, even from his own subconscious. And only in people with weak extrasensory abilities, those who are sick, injured (especially in the head), and due to some other reasons, a channel arises for the reverse seepage of information from the subconscious into consciousness. The second channel, accessible to a wider circle, is receiving information about future events in a dream.
There is another, purely philosophical problem in this hypothesis: what kind of Future do we see in the virtual (astral) world? This question can be put differently: is fate inevitable? In the cases I have reviewed, both options are equally visible. Cherkasov heeded the warning, and in reality the tragic event did not happen.
So all I can do is advise our readers: trust your intuition, your inner voice, or the warning dreams specifically intended for you, even if this means you have to sacrifice your business, love or financial interests. There is no need to rush “there”.

Ambrose of Milan speaks of everyone who has acquired the right to inherit the promised benefits in heavenly life. And Saint Anastasius of Sinai makes it even more specific:
Those who have received baptism and soar to the heights of virtues have been given by God Angels who care for them and assist them in enlightenment... The Lord assures us of this when he says that everyone who believes in Him has Guardian Angels.
We also mention the Heavenly Protector devoted to me from holy baptism in the prayers we read. Meanwhile, some examples speak in favor of the fact that the unbaptized can also have it. See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of My Father in heaven (Matthew 18:10). Even from these Gospel words, some theologians conclude: since all “small powers” are spoken of, it means that everyone has an incorporeal guardian spirit.
In the Acts of the Holy Apostles, in addition, the centurion Cornelius is mentioned, to whom a certain messenger from God appeared and ordered him to call the Apostle Peter, who later baptized Cornelius (Acts 11-13). This speaks in favor of the fact that such a heavenly helper can also exist for someone who has not received the Sacrament of baptism, but who is preparing to be baptized.
Another completely acceptable assumption: the Guardian Angel can only occasionally, in a critical situation, intervene in the life of the unbaptized. Someone makes another cunning “subterfuge” and says that the ministering spirit is sent to everyone at the moment of birth, but it begins to carry out its service only after baptism. However, most opinions still agree that it exists only among the faithful, that is, among actual members of the Church.
Nobody knows a person better than his angel
