“It is well known in the Orthodox tradition that believers receive help if they turn to the one depicted on the icon with a sincere prayer of repentance,” says mother Zoya. — The icon of John the Baptist with a hoop is a true shrine, a priceless treasure. This ancient miraculous icon is a window to heaven. The shrine is almost five centuries old; can you imagine how many believers have prayed to it during all this time? John the Baptist gives real help to everyone who turns to him. The jewelry hanging on the icon was brought by believers in gratitude for healing and support. The hoop attached to the icon appeared in the monastery at the end of the 19th century. It is put on the head by the one who prays in front of the icon of the holy prophet.
