History of writing
Experts connect the history of writing Psalm 20 with the history of Song 19, included in the collection of Psalms. The latter expresses the people's desire to see David as a triumphant, which he can become with the support of the Lord. In the work of praise 20, God is thanked for the protection given. His mercy allowed the king to resist numerous powerful enemies, the Ammonites, who had long been a great threat to the Jews. The prophet is inspired by the victory, he rejoices, celebrates it, not forgetting to demonstrate his love for the One Creator. He also hopes that God will not leave him in the future and will help his servant until the end of his days.
Psalter. Kathisma 20
KATHISMA TWENTIETH.
Psalm 143.
Psalm to David, to Goliath.
1 Blessed is the Lord my God, who trains my hands to fight, and my fingers to fight. 2 My mercy and my refuge, my Protector and my Deliverer, my Defender, and in Him I have trusted: put my people under me. 3 Lord, what is man that you knew him? Or the son of man, why do you count him? 4 Man is like vanity: his days pass away like a shadow. 5 Lord, bow down the heavens and come down and touch the mountains, and they will rise up. 6 Flash the lightning, and make me a wife; send forth your arrows, and make me tremble. 7 Send down Your hand from on high, wash me away, and deliver me from many waters, from the hand of the strange children, 8 whose mouth speaks vanity, and their right hand is the right hand of unrighteousness. 9 O God, I will sing a new song to You, in the psalter of ten strings I will sing to You, 10 Who gives salvation to the king, Who delivered David His servant from the fierce sword. 11 Deliver me, and pluck me from the hand of the strange sons, whose lips speak vanity, and their right hand is the right hand of wickedness. 12 And their sons were like new plants planted in their youth. Their daughters are enriched and adorned, like a temple. 13 Their storehouses are full, they vomit from this into this, their sheep are prolific, multiplying in their goings, their oxen are thick. 14 There is no fall for the stronghold, below the passage, below the cry in their stacks. 15 Please the people, which is what this is. Blessed are the people, even the Lord is their God.
Psalm 144.
Praise be to David.
1 I will exalt You, O my God, my King, and I will bless Your name forever and ever. 2 I will bless You every day and praise Your name forever and ever. 3 The Lord is great and greatly praised, and His greatness has no end. 4 Generation and generation will praise Your works and proclaim Your power. 5 They will proclaim the splendor of the glory of Your holiness and tell of Your wonders. 6 And they will speak of Your terrible power and Your greatness. 7 They will regurgitate the memory of the abundance of Your goodness and will rejoice in Your righteousness. 8 The Lord is generous and merciful, long-suffering and abounding in mercy. 9 The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are upon all His works. 10 Let all Your works be confessed to You, O Lord, and Your worship bless You. 11 They will proclaim the glory of Your kingdom, and proclaim Your power, 12 Tell the sons of man Your power, and the glory of the splendor of Your kingdom. 13 Your kingdom is the kingdom of all ages, and your dominion is in every generation and generation. The Lord is faithful in all His words and Holy in all His deeds. 14 The Lord strengthens all those who fall down and raises up all those who are cast down. 15 The eyes of all trust in You, and You give them food in due season. 16 You open Your hand and perform good pleasure in every living creature. 17 The Lord is righteous in all His ways and honorable in all His deeds. 18 The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. 19 I will do the will of those who fear Him, and I will hear their prayer and save them. 20 The Lord preserves all those who love Him and consumes all sinners. 21 My mouth shall sing the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless His holy name forever and ever.

Psalm 145.
Alleluia, Haggea and Zechariah.
1 Praise the Lord, my soul. 2 I will praise the Lord in my life; I will sing to my God even as I am. 3 Do not trust in princes, in the sons of men, for in them there is salvation. 4 His spirit will depart and return to its land. On that day all his thoughts will perish. 5 Blessed is the God of Jacob, his Helper, whose trust is in the Lord his God, 6 who made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, keeping the truth forever, 7 bringing judgment to the wronged, I give I give food to the hungry. The Lord will decide those who are chained. 8 The Lord makes the blind wise. The Lord raises up the downtrodden. The Lord loves the righteous. 9 The Lord protects strangers; he will accept the orphan and the widow, and destroy the way of sinners. 10 The Lord your God will reign forever in Zion, forever and ever.
Psalm 146.
Alleluia.
1 Praise the Lord, for the psalm is good. May praise be sweet to our God. 2 The Lord builds Jerusalem; He will gather together the scatterings of Israel. 3 Heal the brokenhearted and oblige their contrition. 4 Count the many stars and name them all. 5 Great is our Lord, and great is His strength, and His understanding is without number, 6 Accept the meek Lord, and humble sinners to the ground. 7 Begin to confess to the Lord, sing to our God on the harp. 8 To him who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who grows grass and grain on the mountains for the service of man, 9 who gives their food to livestock, and to the chicks of corvids who call upon Him. 10 He does not delight in the strength of his bones, but he delights in the hair of men. 11 The Lord delights in those who fear Him and in those who trust in His mercy.
Psalm 147.
Alleluia, Haggea and Zechariah.
1 Praise the Lord, Jerusalem, praise your God, O Zion, 2 for strengthen the faith of your gates, bless your sons in you. 3 Set Your bounds for peace, and satisfy Thee with the fat of wheat. 4 Send out His word to the earth, until His word flows with speed, 5 giving His snow like a wave, darkness like ashes, strewing it, 6 throwing His shreds like bread. Who can stand against the face of His filth? 7 He sends out His word, and I fail, His spirit dies, and the waters flow out. 8 Proclaim your word to Jacob, your righteousness and destiny to Israel. 9 Thou shalt not do this to every tongue, and show them not thy destiny.

Psalm 148.
Alleluia, Haggea and Zechariah.
1 Praise the Lord from heaven, praise Him in the highest. 2 Praise Him, all your angels; praise Him, all your powers. 3 Praise Him, O sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars and light. 4 Praise Him, the heavens of the heavens and the waters that are higher than the heavens. 5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for He spoke, and He commanded, and He was created. 6 I have established a commandment forever and ever, and it will not pass by. 7 Praise the Lord from the earth, the serpents, and all the deeps: 8 fire, hail, snow, thrashing, the stormy spirit that does His word, 9 the mountains and all the hills, the fruitful trees and all the cedars, 10 the beasts and all the cats, reptiles and birds. 11 The king of the earth and all the people, the princes and all the judges of the earth, 12 the young men and the maidens, the old men and young men, 13 let them praise the name of the Lord, for the name of him alone is exalted, and His confession on earth and in heaven. 14 And the horn of his people shall exalt a song to all his venerables, to the sons of Israel, to the people who draw near to him.
Psalm 149.
Alleluia.
1 Sing a new song to the Lord, His praise in the church of the saints. 2 Let Israel rejoice in Him who made them, and the sons of Zion rejoice in their King. 3 Let them praise His name in person, in the tympanum, and in the psalms, and sing to Him. 4 For the Lord delights in his people, and will lift up the meek to salvation. 5 The saints will be praised in glory and will rejoice on their beds. 6 The praises of God are in their throats, and two sharp swords are in their hands: 7 to bring vengeance on the nations, reproof on the people, 8 to bind the kings in their fetters, and their glorious hands with iron fetters, 9 to do judgment in them is written. This glory will be to all who are like Him.
Psalm 150.
Alleluia.
1 Praise God in His saints; praise Him in the strengthening of His power. 2 Praise Him according to His strength; praise Him according to the abundance of His majesty. 3 Praise Him with the trumpet, praise Him with the psaltery and the harp. 4 Praise Him in the tympanum and face, praise Him in the strings and organ. 5 Praise Him with cymbals of good acclaim; praise Him with cymbals of shouting. 6 Let every breath praise the Lord.

Psalm 151.
This psalm is especially written by David, and outside the number of 150 psalms, you are always fighting against Goliath.
He was small among my brothers and the youngest in my father’s house, a shepherd of my father’s sheep. My hands have created an organ, and my fingers have formed a psalter. And who will tell my Lord? The Lord Himself will hear. He himself sent his angel, and took me from my father’s sheep, and anointed me with his anointing oil. My brothers are good and great, and the Lord has not been pleased with them. I died to meet the foreigner, and their idols cursed me. And I pulled the sword from him, beheaded him, and took away the reproach from the children of Israel.
According to the 20th kathisma, the Trisagion of Our Father: Also troparia, tone 8:
You are the fulfillment of all good things, O my Christ, fill my soul with joy and gladness, and save me, for I am the One who is Most Merciful.
Glory: Even though I have sinned, O Christ my Savior, before You, do I know no other God than You, but I dare in Your goodness, turning to accept me, Compassionate Father and Only Begotten Son and Holy Soul Hey, like the prodigal son, save me.
And now: We know no other refuge and warm intercession than You, for we have the boldness of those who were born of You, O Lady, help and save me, Your servant.
Lord, have mercy (40) and prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ my God, have mercy on me, a sinner, and forgive me, your unworthy servant, for how much I have sinned throughout my entire life, and even to this day, and even if I have sinned as a man. x, my sins are voluntary and involuntary, in deed and word, out of my mind and thoughts, out of co-admiration and inattention, and much of my laziness and neglect. If I have sworn in Your name, or have sworn falsely, or have blasphemed thoughts, or have reproached someone, or slandered, or been sad, or in wicked anger, or have stolen, or committed fornication oh, or I lied, or secretly poisoned myself, or a friend approached me and despised him, or my offended and bitter brothers, or standing by in prayer and psalmody, my evil mind went around the evil one, or rather enjoyed myself, or laughed madly, or sacrilegiously with verbs, or became vain, or proud, or saw vain kindness and was deceived by it , or the ridiculous one mocked me. Even though I was careless about my prayer, or did not keep the commandments of my spiritual father, or idle talk, or did other evil things, this is all I have done in these deeds, which I remember below. Have mercy, Lord, and forgive us all, so that I may fall asleep and rest in peace, singing, blessing, and glorifying You, with Your Beginning Father and with Your Most Holy and Good and Life-giving Spirit, now and forever and ever. Amen.

13 Be exalted, O Lord, in Your strength; let us sing and sing of Your strength. | 13 Be exalted, O Lord, in Your power! We will sing and praise Your might. |

Great is the glory of his salvation through Thy salvation; place glory and splendor upon him. For give him a blessing forever and ever, make him glad with Your face. For the king trusts in the Lord, and is not moved by the mercy of the Most High. May Thy hand be found against all Thy enemies, may Thy right hand be found against all those who hate You. For if you have laid them like a furnace of fire at the time of Your presence, the Lord will crush me with His wrath, and destroy them with fire. Thou shalt destroy their fruit from the earth, and their seed from the sons of men. As if I were angry with You, thinking about advice, they won’t be able to draw it up. As I have laid a backbone, You have prepared their face for Your abundance. Be exalted, O Lord, in Thy strength, let us sing and sing of Thy strength.
