Living room according to Feng Shui: basic rules of interior design
Each apartment has a place where a person relaxes after a hard day, receives friends, and spends time with family. The Feng Shui living room provides positive chi energy to the space of this room.
Over 1000 years ago in China, people noticed that nature had a strong impact on their lives, its positive or negative energy also affected their homes. This energy is the basis of all life in the Universe. Its streams circulate continuously, permeating absolutely everything. By catching the energy flow, you can improve your health and financial condition. This is done by arranging your home in a certain way. Based on these points, the teaching of Feng Shui was created.
A living room arranged according to Feng Shui will help attract positive energy into the home and make the family happier
In which room should there be a TV?
According to Feng Shui, in a child's room , but if they are present - and most likely, there will be at least a computer that the child needs for his studies - it is simply necessary to turn them off at night. Constant vortex energy flows do not promise anything particularly favorable.
What definitely shouldn't be in the kitchen is a TV. Once upon a time, Bulgakov’s character, Professor Preobrazhensky, said: “Never read Soviet newspapers before dinner. “So here is a TV from the same opera. The housewife, having seen enough negative news, will put her emotions into the food that she feeds the whole family. In an energetic sense, this is just a nightmare. And the family, gathered around the table and staring at the screen, does not receive any benefit from dinner and does not receive communication.
IVONA has already written that TV and its influence, especially in the bedroom, are very dangerous. If there is a TV in every room of the house, in the kitchen, this is a disaster for the owners, since the owners absorb a huge amount of harmful information. One TV in the house is enough.
TV in the bedroom causes spouses to cool off towards each other. Before going to bed, the room should be ventilated, and the TV should be turned off an hour before bedtime.
TV in the living room . Stereos, home theaters, televisions and similar equipment stimulate the energy of the place where they are located. For example, being in the southeast will help to achieve wealth and prosperity in the family, and the southwest location will help maintain excellent relationships within the family. The southern position will be able to express your desire for a social and active life, and you will definitely achieve recognition outside the home.
If you do not want to emphasize any particular aspect of your home, then the northwest or north direction will be the most neutral and optimal choice for electrical appliances. Another important rule is to make sure that the TV does not become the center of the room. Otherwise, the living room will become a place for watching TV, and live communication will be kept to a minimum. We can say that the TV is a window to the world, a kind of transmitter into the house not only of good and positive information, but also of world problems and misfortunes in addition.
If negative information from the TV screen gets into the room, be sure to ventilate the room for 20-30 minutes. This will restore good energy in the house and have a beneficial effect on your health. And, of course, under no circumstances leave the TV on when no one is watching: a person should communicate with the device, and not just symbolically “drain” his energy into the TV screen. The TV should be placed near a side wall or in a corner, or even better, in a niche. Thus, the energy flows will be closed.

Conditions for arranging furniture according to Feng Shui in the living room
Properly arranged furniture affects the harmony of family relationships. Each recreational item is placed in a specific place. Upholstered furniture is placed in a semicircle, going around a small oval-shaped tea table. There should be no windows behind the owner of the home; he should sit facing south.
According to Feng Shui, furniture in the living room is best placed in a semicircle around an oval table to circulate Qi energy.
According to the rules of Feng Shui, preference should be given to chairs and armchairs with armrests, but not to voluminous corners. A sitting person must see the windows, otherwise he will not be able to receive a charge of positive energy.
An example of furniture arrangement in the living room according to Feng Shui
It is better to place armchairs and sofas so that the windows are visible
Furniture in the home should be arranged so that there are no regular geometric shapes. An octagon, a semicircle or a circle of individual furnishing elements are perfect. This removes negative energy from household members.
Arrangement of furniture by cardinal directions in the Bagua octagon
Advice! If it is impossible to avoid sharp corners when arranging interior items, then they are decorated with fabric, artificial flowers and other original items.

Money according to Feng Shui: location of the house
For a house facing south, it will be SOUTH-EAST, for a northern house - EAST, western - SOUTH, north-east - NORTHEAST, north-west - NORTH, south-east - WEST, eastern - NORTHEWEST, southwest - SOUTHWEST.
In irregularly shaped apartments there may be no money sector. Of course this is bad. Then you can activate the southeast or the direction of money luck in one of the rooms. You will see that Feng Shui is a powerful transformative force based on knowledge of the compass directions of the Earth.
Paintings for the living room according to Feng Shui: recommendations for selection and meaning
Their benefits for the home are obvious. By decorating the interior, they evoke positive feelings and lift the spirits of the household. You need to understand that by decorating a house with exquisite things, a person changes the energy around him, activates a certain zone that weakens or strengthens the influence on life. By hanging Feng Shui paintings correctly, you can achieve happy changes, get rid of troubles and have a positive impact on your emotional state.
Energy of images
Sometimes, looking at a picture, a person feels that he is unable to look away. The phenomenon can be easily explained by the strong energy of the image. This applies to ancient icons, works of famous masters who put strength and energy into their work. The higher their potential, the stronger the energy of the picture.
While working on a painting, the artist fills it with strong energy, so you need to be careful when choosing it
The objects depicted on the canvases also have special energy. The child evokes warm feelings. Aivazovsky's paintings take your breath away from the beauty and majesty of the sea. Thus, each canvas carries a positive or negative charge. It depends on the personality of the artist, the story and the subject of the image. This should be taken into account when purchasing paintings.
Pictures should carry a positive charge
General recommendations for choosing paintings
To change your life using paintings, you must rely on the following rules:
- Personal sympathies. The picture should please all the people living in the house. By evoking positive emotions, the image brings good luck to a certain extent. If you don’t like reproductions depicting vegetables or fruits, then they will only cause irritation.
- Aggressive dying objects. They carry a negative charge, which they will give to a person, taking away positive energy.
- Abstract images. You can bring such a painting into your home if you really like it and evoke pleasant emotions. If this is not the case, then it is better to prefer images of a different genre.
- Portraits of people. It is better to refuse them. It’s bad when a portrait of a deceased relative hangs in the living room. The presence of a stranger will be felt in the house.
- Dried objects under glass. Flowers and butterflies are dead objects. They can only take away energy from a person, and not feed him. The exception is straw and wood, which will give a positive charge and strength.
- Amber panel. They are very favorable for the living room according to Feng Shui, they carry healing energy.
Discovering the secrets of Feng Shui. Secret feng shui: interview with the founder of the trend, Masha Mamonova
Our readers suggested that we reveal the topic: the secrets of Feng Shui
for home. We will try to consider these questions from the perspective in which the following blog posts are presented:
But let’s look at these issues with the help of Feng Shui.
Feng Shui
- Chinese teaching with more than two thousand years of history. It literally translates as “wind-water” and is based on the idea of the energetic interaction between home and human destiny. To create a strong, favorable Feng Shui in your home, first of all, look around and decide to what extent the furnishings of your home comply with the basic rules of well-being. Basic rules for well-being in the house: cleanliness and order everywhere. We have already touched on the topic of Feng Shui in our post:
And so, regarding the light.
During the day, the rooms are quite bright thanks to sunlight, and in the evening the light from the lamps is comfortably bright. Dusk attracts energy poorly and makes people apathetic and inert.
The entrance to the home should be bright. If the front room is very dark, then decorate it with wallpaper in lighter colors, decorate the walls with bright paintings, and increase the lighting. It is through the front door that streams of positive energy enter the room, with which joy, health and many prospects come into our lives.
Hang mirrors on the walls to visually expand the space.
How to arrange a kitchen?
Do not keep old frying pans and other rubbish in the oven, because according to Feng Shui, a stove is one of the symbols of well-being in the family. Try to use not one or two burners, but all four in turn. Place beautiful, clean pots on the stove - this will attract wealth. Hang above the dining table: a delicious still life depicting gastronomic abundance.
Place a dish of fruit on the table - real or artificial.
This is a guarantee that you will always have something to treat your friends with. Wash your dishes immediately after eating, and don't let them pile up in the sink.
Try to throw out trash every day, but no later than eight in the evening.
How to arrange a living room?
It is important that there are fewer sharp corners in the main room of the house, and the table should be round. The negative influence of corners can be easily eliminated by placing indoor flowers with rounded leaves there.
Mirrors are very appropriate in the living room, as well as fountains, waterfalls, etc., because flowing (but not leaking) clean water is a source of energy, health and vitality. And aquariums with fish are also a symbol of wealth and prosperity. By the way, it is ideal if there is one black fish and eight gold fish living in the water. It is best to place the aquarium in the passage, but not in front of the toilet or the front door, otherwise all your luck will leave the house.
How to arrange a bedroom
?
The fewer things you have in the bedroom, the more restful your sleep. Here, the subtle energy of qi should move calmly, without turbulence.
It is better to place the bed in the far corner from the entrance to the bedroom, but at the same time so that the entrance door to the room is visible from the bed. Under no circumstances place a dressing table or mirrored cabinet opposite the bed, otherwise health problems may arise. It is bad if the bed's head or legs are facing the window or front door, as well as the wall in which there is a door. The place to sleep should be reliable and solid. An unstable bed leads to instability and losses.
Now look around again and decide
to what extent does the furnishings of your home comply with the basic rules of Feng Shui? All rooms of your home are more or less equally involved in your daily life, that is, for example, there is no room in which unnecessary things are collected, and you almost never go there. In such a room, stagnation forms, which disrupts the movement of qi in the house.
You like your home, the colors are pleasant, the furniture is comfortable for you, you relax at home, even while doing household chores.
If you have all of the above, then your Feng Shui is already pretty good, and your life is probably organized and very stable. And if not, and you don’t have enough time and energy to remove all the shortcomings at once, try to start improving small, life will gradually become easier, and you will easily do what previously seemed too difficult.
Be that as it may, creating favorable Feng Shui at home is a worthwhile endeavor that will pay off in full! After all, you and I can take into account many equally important nuances and calculate the Feng Shui of our home ourselves at the level of specialists! Then the current laws of generation, movement, properties of energies and their influence on us in our interior will help us draw strength from home and achieve larger-scale goals, realizing our capabilities much more efficiently, faster and easier!
The Slavs also have a system for organizing a house.
Feng Shui is a traditional Chinese science, but we also have our own home design system. Our ancestors did not build and arrange their homes in a chaotic manner; a strict planning system was visible everywhere. In particular, in almost all huts the doors were cut to the south, “towards the sun”.
The cult of the sun, or Yaril, as the ancient Slavs called it, persisted even after the adoption of Christianity.
The storage room was always located to the left of the entryway. The upper room was located on the right. In the southeastern part of the room they hung images, and in the southwestern part they placed a bucket or tub with clean well water. To the left of the entrance to the upper room, a stove was traditionally laid, behind which a cradle for the baby and a large table were set up, where the whole family gathered.
According to ancient beliefs, this layout brought good luck and tranquility to the house.
We wish you good luck, prosperity and health.
Concept and linens by Yves Delorme
You, of course, know (and if you don’t know yet, then know!))) that while I was living in Norway, among the fjords, I came up with such a thing - “Secret Feng Shui”
. While everyone is putting Chinese things and Hottei on the shelves, I use the basic principles of Feng Shui and do it secretly. I just don’t want to turn the house into a shrine or a Chinese souvenir shop.
However, it still works (if done correctly). At the same time, no one will ever guess that I have feng shui here. Right now I’m even sitting here writing a book - how, where, what and when to install, lay, buy, what colors and textures to make it work. For all occasions.
You just need:
- form an intention (what, exactly, do we want?) - choose the right colors - choose the right colors (so that the theme: love, travel, something else) - buy bed linen and do all this on the growing moon (and in our in a unique case - on New Year's Eve) - install the bed itself in the correct place according to Feng Shui, taking into account the areas of the apartment and the flying stars of the year (more on this in one and the following posts)
New Year's festive felting is planned for several days -
Friends, YOU MUST USE THIS!
Secret feng shui
can be directed in different rooms and on different pressing topics. But today we're going to talk about bedding! It is common knowledge that we spend almost a third of our lives sleeping. Probably, for me personally, even more: I write most of my materials and posts in bed. If anyone is surprised, don’t be surprised - Picasso also often created his work in bed!
Something to think about! As they say, what (and how) you lay is what you reap. What can we do? It all depends on WHAT and HOW you need. Again, intention plays a primary role here.
So….
* Looking for LOVE in the new year? If yes, then, dear friends, ideally you need to throw out all your old bedding. After all, it carries the mossy vibrations of loneliness. - If you have been sick for a long time,
wrapped in a certain set - away with it!
- If you broke up
with someone, away with these bedding sets!
(preferably all the ones you used) - If you need a refreshment of your senses
, buy 1-2 sets of new ones. BUT: keep in mind that for these (romantic purposes) you will need bed linen in pastel, delicate shades, with floral patterns, in pink, caramel, peach shades.

Love can be passionate (or passionately desires to become so))). Therefore, you understand, you can’t do without red here. The designers did their best on this issue. So red poppies, red duvet covers, red hearts, red pillows, pictures of couples in love... Everything goes into action!

* LET'S TRAVEL!
I know that in addition to love, people (well, not everyone, of course), but most have the same desire: to travel. Alone, with family, together, rush around the world or go to Bali, hitchhiking or first class. To whom and where the soul is drawn. For these people, too, there is a way out of the category of “the soldier is sleeping, but the service is going on” - while we sleep, we gradually fulfill our desires to travel.
The set is called “Equator”. Alviero.
* LIFE WITH A CLEAN SLATE!
Please, there is a method for such purposes too! Classic white bed linen.
“Life again” - by the way, is very relevant for the New Year, isn’t it? Especially if you feel it’s time to take some new, radically new steps in life. If you would like improvements in the new year. Or there was not the best period in your life, and it’s time to close that page and start fresh, like freshly fallen snow. By the way, in a snow-white bed it is easiest to make plans and meditate.

Admit it honestly: you don’t mind going somewhere all the time, do you? We always wanted to go to Europe, for example, to go on holiday to the Seychelles or to see New York... So what’s the matter??!
It’s clear: either there is no money, then there is no time, then there is no one and then there is no one.
Meanwhile, life passes, someone else rides. I’ll tell you a terrible
secret , just between us: in fact, you just need to indicate where you want. That's all. The rest, oddly enough, will work out on its own.
The main thing is to indicate correctly and competently.
I’ll tell you with my own example: how I went to Paris.
Actually, this is my fourth trip there. I have already traveled half of Europe, several times, using my method. I haven’t been to America or on exotic islands - simply because - the truth is, I never wanted to. I still don’t want to go to America. And she traveled around Europe and lived there, and studied, and worked (again, because she wanted and used magical methods!).
So what am I doing?
For example, a thought comes to me - I want to go to... (let's take Paris as an example). Suppose I don’t know how to find time (work), and I don’t have any extra money either. Well, I don't care. I want it all here. I suddenly wanted something - I just needed this kind of experience.
What I do: 1) I collect all the things that remind ME (not my neighbor, not my mother, not my friends, not my husband, but ME) of Paris. What is this?
- This is a transparent figurine with an engraved Eiffel Tower that a colleague once gave me.
Great. The first thing reminiscent of Paris was found.
- Now I find a postcard photo of my favorite part of Paris. I put it in a silver frame.
I want an apartment there (by the way, I also need to think about it and organize it using magical methods).
- Now I remember that in a “curly” golden frame I have such a permanent exhibition, so to speak, generally about traveling around the countries of the planet.
- I also found this bag from Chanel. It will also come in handy (in my mind, Paris is closely connected with Coco Chanel).
- And here are the highlights of the program! Without them - nowhere!
And this entire collection can also be supplied with a guide to Paris, for example, a city map (optional).
2) All this is now placed in the Travel sector of the apartment (I have it on the windowsill). The frames are silver and gold (in general, metal) - also for a reason. This is a symbol of this zone - the zone of helpers and travel. We use Feng Shui knowledge, but without Chinese amulets (this is my “Secret Feng Shui”).
This is what it all looked like in the end:
All!
3) Now
we seize any opportunities that arise in the direction of a trip
to Paris. Need I say that everything worked out?
By the way, I didn't spend a penny on it. They also paid me extra to be there. After all, I traveled for work (that is, I didn’t take any vacation either))). Like this.
My mistakes:
When organizing the trip, there were a lot of small and not very obstacles - with a visa. There wasn't enough time to organize it; I had to run around a lot.
Personally, this can happen to me if I want to go somewhere, but in general, it doesn’t seem like much. I can’t say that I’m absolutely delighted with Paris as such (I don’t really like the French, the language and all that). But in principle I wanted to go. It was this kind of “uncertainty” that did not allow the energy to spread sufficiently and to do everything “at the top five” and at once.
I get everything at once (and even with “gifts” and “bonuses”!!!) when I absolutely want something and love it (like, for example, I have always loved Finland and Scandinavia in general).
This is the same love
and there is
a magic key
to everything. When it is interrupted by the fear of not getting it, the fear of lack of opportunities, or the banal reluctance to do something - this is what destroys everything or creates obstacles.
Therefore, before you make a wish, think carefully: do YOU really want this, and do you really want to go in this particular direction (maybe all your friends have already been there, and you just want to be “no worse than others”).
Still, this is a waste of energy in any case, and if there are doubts, then all sorts of unnecessary obstacles are possible. So decide!
What does Feng Shui recommend to do in an apartment and what not?
Feng Shui is the science of harmony with the environment and the art of using it in everyday life. The Chinese have been using Feng Shui for centuries to build their homes and cities.
If you think that failures in life are haunting you because the cactus is standing in the wrong corner of the room, this article is for you!
With the correct application of the principles of Feng Shui in your personal space, you can achieve balance in your environment and, as a result, receive inner satisfaction from life, and this is material well-being, good health, ...
Feng Shui advises:
- Feng Shui advises:
Increase lighting, wash windows regularly - this will allow solar energy to penetrate your home. - Feng Shui advises:
Fix leaking taps that could drain your health or wealth. - Feng Shui advises:
Replace burnt out light bulbs and broken windows as quickly as possible so that positive energy does not disappear. - Feng Shui advises:
Replace fluorescent lamps with traditional incandescent lamps: flickering disrupts the movement of energy. - Feng Shui advises:
Remove trash cans away from areas of health and wealth. - Feng Shui advises:
Get paintings that depict a waterfall, a babbling indoor fountain, or an aquarium. Water represents energy and wealth. - Feng Shui advises:
Get flowers and greenery. Flowers are considered carriers of energy, but in the bedroom they spoil a woman’s love happiness and lead to quarrels and infidelity between spouses. - Feng Shui advises:
If you see a certain disorder and are able to change it, act; if for some reason you are powerless over it, erase it from your memory.
Feng Shui does not advise:
- Feng Shui does not recommend:
Using mirror tiles. It breaks your reflection and, therefore, your life into fragments. - Feng Shui does not recommend:
Combining a study and a bedroom. Different types of energy will collide and reduce your progress in both areas. - Feng Shui does not advise:
Sitting with your back to the door (dooming yourself to a “dagger strike”) and the window - you will lack support in your work. - Feng Shui does not recommend:
Having “aggressive” corners – corners of walls, cabinets, ceilings that seem to “aim” at the place where you sit, sleep or work. - Feng Shui does not recommend:
Hanging a mirror opposite the front door or directly opposite the bed. In the first case, the energy is immediately directed back to the door, in the second it destroys the marriage or (which is also bad) causes a rival to appear on the horizon. - Feng Shui does not recommend:
Painting large surfaces black: black color absorbs energy. - Feng Shui does not recommend:
Working in an office located opposite elevators, escalators or regular stairs. The office at the end of the corridor also brings bad luck. And rope curtains and potted plants soften the chi in the long hallway.
Some more feng shui tips
The most important “healing remedy” is
clearing the house of clutter.
If you hide it in the basement, closet or mezzanine, it will clog your subconscious thinking. Put it in the attic and your life options will be limited (upward movement blocked). Chaotic qi wandering around in a crowded closet can affect your punctuality and stall your career advancement, causing financial stress and health distress.
In addition to junk, immediately get rid of items that you don’t like or that evoke unpleasant memories or associations. Give them to someone who loves them, or trade them.
Add lights and mirrors.
Feng Shui considers mirrors to be the main assistants: they reflect energy as well as the image of a person. Mirrors should be hung so that you can see some space above your head and around you. This way you leave room for ideas to develop. Mirrors must be of good quality, framed, with a clear reflection. Round and oval shapes are most effective.
Never place them opposite each other: the energy will bounce back and forth without moving. Avoid mirrors in the bedroom: When we sleep, we release negative emotions, and if the mirror near the bed reflects them back, you risk waking up unrested in the morning.
Feng Shui crystal objects
enhance vital energy and improve any area of your apartment. If, for example, you want to spice up your love relationship, place the crystal in the relationship area.
Hanging bells according to feng shui
also attract positive qi energy. Hang a bell by your front door. Its melodic ringing will invigorate you and your guests.
Feng Shui plants
can slow down the too fast movement of energy in a long corridor and transform energy stagnating in the corners. If you are striving for career growth, “heal” the career area with the help of living plants. Avoid pest plants with sharp leaves, dotted colors and thorns - they create bad energy, conflicts and failures.
If the entrance door located in the quarry area is adjacent to an elevator, which creates an endless vortex of qi up and down, then the quarry will jump in the same way.
Feng Shui recommends placing something heavy at the entrance:
a cabinet or sculpture that stabilizes qi. If you're unlucky in love, we put pink roses in the bedroom. If we can’t find a job, we place a piece of black art in the kitchen. We don't have enough money - we put three purple pillows on the sofa in the living room. With difficulty we gnaw on the granite of science - we hang a mirror in a blue frame in the office. They tarnished their reputation - kitchen curtains should be red. Tired of scandals in the family, we light green candles in the living room.
If you want to end your loneliness
, take a closer look at your home environment: most likely, you will see many single items that reflect your marital status. Your task is to generate “paired” energy. Use double candlesticks, couple portraits and soft, romantic landscapes in the bedroom and relationship areas.
If your well-being zone is located in the bathroom, according to Feng Shui there is a danger of money leakage. Keep the toilet lid closed and place a mirror on the outside of the door to prevent energy from escaping down the drain.
Happiness and prosperity to you!
Feng Shui is an ancient knowledge that helps to live in harmony with the world around us, maintaining good health and attracting good luck and prosperity.
With the help of Feng Shui, the Emperor of China ensured good health, increased wealth and achieved peace with himself and others.
It is quite difficult for a Western person to understand and accept that we are seriously dependent on the surrounding space, and although we cannot feel some influences directly, they exist.
Thanks to the knowledge of Feng Shui, every person can achieve success, health, love and prosperity.
Feng Shui is a deep and extensive knowledge, but even if you follow these simple tips, they will help you improve your financial situation.
Secrets of attracting wealth according to Feng Shui
SECRET 1. Respect for money
Money is not just pieces of paper, it is a powerful energy that requires respect. Get rid of the habit of crumpling bills by stuffing them into your pockets.
It often happens that, carried away by self-development, people deny money. Usually the result is that the money doesn't come to them.
Money has its own home - a wallet. Keep them there.
Secret 2. Plant Qi energy
Our ancestors also knew that it was possible to attract the energy of wealth using the power of plants.
dried mint leaves in your purse or purse, as well as anywhere you keep your savings.
.
It is believed that the aroma of mint attracts money and prosperity. It is not for nothing that the ancient Greeks and Romans, for example, crowned themselves with mint at festivals.
The Chinese often give their loved ones orange trees with fruits.
, as there is a belief that the orange tree brings abundance, prosperity and happiness, as it is a symbol of fertility.
Its bright, round fruits are associated with gold (in Feng Shui, the round shape symbolizes the Metal element), so during the New Year holiday, Chinese tables are laden with oranges.
Secret 3: stop the dissipation of qi
Do not count or discuss other people's income, wealth, money - by doing this, you doom yourself to lack of money! After all, all these actions lead to the dissipation of Qi energy.
Qi energy is also dissipated by worries about money and envy of other people's success.
Not only are you losing strength, but you are also sending a clear sign to the Universe by emitting negative energy regarding money
or material goods, even strangers.
Since wealth is bad, it means you don’t need it.
positive qualities in those who earn good money
.
Secret 4. Favorable sector for storing money
From a Feng Shui point of view, there are more and less favorable sectors of space for storing cash.
You can select suitable sectors, for example, in accordance with yours and recommendations for annual energies.
It is favorable to keep money at home:
- in a wallet selected taking into account Feng Shui recommendations,
- in bags, boxes or envelopes, preferably red. This bright Yang color is considered very good for increasing funds. It’s best to make such boxes and envelopes with your own hands.
If, when making boxes and envelopes, you imagine the purpose for which you are collecting money ( travel, buying new clothes, furniture, etc.
), then the money will come faster!
Secret 5. Rules for transferring money
Another secret: when paying off your debt or for purchases, accepting back the money you lent to someone, do not transfer it from hand to hand.
Money is energy, and with direct transfer you can receive the negative energy of another person.
It’s not for nothing that there are special saucers for money on store shelves.
These are just some of the secrets of Feng Shui, and as you can see, following them will not be very difficult.
- From a Feng Shui point of view, the attitude towards money is very important. When engaging in self-development, you should not think that you need to “despise” money, since it is, in essence, the energy of gratitude. A negative attitude leads to the fact that the wallet of such a “disdainful” person begins to deplete.
- One way to stimulate money energy is through plant energy. There are also, for example, special Feng Shui techniques -.
- From the point of view of Chinese Bazi astrology, money is an element controlled by personality. Constantly worrying about money, judging rich people, a person wastes his Qi energy, so it is more difficult for him to hold on to money.
- To store money, it is better to use special sectors of space that are favorable from the point of view of Feng Shui for you in terms of Gua number, as well as taking into account.
- In addition, there are Feng Shui tips on the rules of transferring money that will help you keep your cash flow active and rich.
You can choose the optimal solution for your situation during a consultation; read more about that.

With respect and good luck,
Have you ever wondered what is most important in a home? Comfort and beauty? Combination of colors and objects? Comfort and ergonomics? All these are, of course, very valuable qualities. But probably the most important thing is Harmony. Between all objects and how their aura affects our mood and health. After all, it is here, in our beloved home, that we relax our soul and body and recharge ourselves with energy to communicate with the rest of the world.
How did you ensure that the impact was positive? The first thing that comes to mind is the desire to give love and attention to our home, because the energy that we give to it returns to us a hundredfold. And the second is compliance with certain rules. This is exactly what Feng Shui talks about so much - the science (or maybe the art) of creating psychological comfort in the home.
To talk about all the laws of Feng Shui, it will take a whole series of articles and, perhaps one day, we will fill this gap. In the meantime, we invite you to learn about
10 simple ways to quickly improve your home health, which Feng Shui considers the most important
. The best approach is to try to master each of them, but you can choose the one that seems most attractive.
You may be skeptical about the main laws of Feng Shui, but this will not make it lose its position. But if you try to use its laws, perhaps the world around you will change for the better. Without pretending to be complete, we will try to voice
Feng Shui truths that it makes sense for a practical modern person to know:
- All objects have their own energy, and everything in the house forms its aura, which affects its inhabitants.
- A house is a living organism, and the only way to receive positive energy from it is to make sure that it has a balance of all components (movement and rest, light and shadow, decor and emptiness).
- Most of the energy that enters our home (unless it is associated with people, but penetrates naturally) does not carry a pronounced positive or negative charge. But it is in the house that it becomes “positive” or “negative,” and this depends on the speed and direction of its movement. When encountering obstacles, this movement becomes abrupt and chaotic, and movement stagnates in corners and under furniture.
Secret No. 2. Get rid of clutter.
Well, no one has canceled the truth that by getting rid of unnecessary things, you clear space for everything new and more necessary for you, including events in life.
Secret No. 3. Strive for balance.
As already mentioned, Feng Shui masters believe that balance in the home is one of the most important qualities that promotes positivity and prosperity. It is generally accepted that any object in one way or another belongs to one of the 5 elements: earth, metal, wood, fire and water. This is judged either by the origin of the item (material) or by color.
The first way to create a balance of elements is to place in especially significant areas of the house objects belonging to the element that controls this zone or is consonant with you personally (after all, according to Feng Shui, every person is also controlled by one of them). You can find out more about this in special manuals.
The second way (simpler) is to control the balance using the color scheme of the house, combining different shades so that the main colors of the elements are present in each room, at least in the form of small spots of color. Earth - shades of brown and yellow, metal - white, wood - green, fire - red, water - blue and black.
The third way (the most elementary) is to create “islands” of the elements using natural materials. Earth is ceramics and stones, fire is candles, water is fountains, aquariums and glass, wood is flowers and plants, and metal is understandable.
The fourth method, in addition to attracting positive energy, will also perfectly decorate your walls. These are photographs, paintings and posters depicting the elements.
Secret No. 4. Take inspiration from nature.
Nature is the most striking example of growth and prosperity. In the atmosphere of city bustle, even small reminders of it contribute to relaxation and return us to peace of mind.
Flowers and plants that you like, wicker furniture and accessories, souvenirs brought from a trip to the sea. And, of course, images of beautiful natural places and phenomena (rainbows and sunsets).
Feng Shui considers some plants to be especially “lucky”. For example, bamboo, pine and crassula (money tree). You can find out about the rest in specialized literature.
Secret No. 5. Use mirrors wisely.
As you know, the main quality of mirrors is to double what is reflected in them. Therefore, think carefully about what exactly it will reflect. A pleasant view from the window, a beautiful painting, a flowering plant, a festive table - these are things that should obviously fall within the “sphere of influence” of mirrors. Feng Shui believes that in this case there will be much more “pleasantness” in your life.
But in the hallway, bedroom and nursery you should be careful with mirrors. Mirrors should not reflect doors, especially those leading to the bathroom or entrance. And also sleeping people, although there is a widespread opinion that a mirror in the bedroom adds variety to intimate life.
Secret No. 6. Promote the correct movement of energy.
For private houses, this secret means that there should not be an emergency exit, stairs to the second floor or entrance to the basement opposite the front door, otherwise the positive energy will fly away as quickly as it flew in. Plus what is true for an apartment.
For an apartment, the rules are slightly different. At a minimum you should:
- keep the bathroom door closed or (if you have a completely indoor cat that also uses it) unfold the door so that it opens in the direction opposite to the entrance to the house;
- ventilate rooms more often, opening wide not only windows, but also doors;
- if there are rooms in which the owner is temporarily absent, it is advisable to keep the doors in them open for at least half an hour a day.
Secret No. 7. Create an oasis of true relaxation.
Therefore, be careful to ensure that your vacation is truly beneficial. A mattress, pillows and blanket, selected taking into account exactly your ideas about comfort, are a smarter investment than buying particularly fashionable furniture. After all, this is an investment in your health and longevity. This is not about abandoning items that simply please the eye, but I think the priorities are clear.
Another point concerns everything that reminds you of work. If your bedroom is also a home office, consider a zoning method so that when you wake up or go to bed, objects that remind you of the worries of the day do not immediately catch your eye.
And if you sleep on a bed that has legs, check more often what has “accumulated” under it: even small debris and objects that accidentally get there can become a source of negativity.
Secret No. 8. Let your loved ones support you, but not interfere.
Feng Shui has a special opinion on this matter. It makes sense to place photographs of family members, ancestors, close relatives and friends where you want to remember them more often and experience pleasant feelings or even pride. The living room, dining room and home office are the best rooms for this.
Secret No. 9. Fill your home with blooming beauty.
Indoor plants help us feel our connection with living nature, and flowers help us feel the beauty of the world in all its diversity. Delicate buds and spectacular inflorescences, an intoxicating aroma and graceful lines - all this is especially important for every woman to have in her home. After all, at any age she remains a flower.
It’s nice when people give us flowers, but, you see, in real life this doesn’t happen very often. Therefore, at least once a month, acquire this joy for yourself and enjoy not only the sight and aroma of flowers, but also the very “ritual” of purchasing, choosing a vase and arrangement.
Regardless of whether it is one laconic flower or a lush bouquet, the effect of positive changes in life will not take long to appear. It is important that such a “ritual” just becomes a habit.
Feng Shui believes that flowers in the kitchen add balance to the inevitable frequent temperature changes. In the dining room they promote abundance, and in the living room they preserve health and connections between loved ones.
Secret No. 10. Add light to your life.
- the lighting should be varied enough and change so that part of the room remains slightly in the shade (this does not apply to situations of general cleaning and receiving guests);
- illumination of corners and nooks and crannies in the apartment solves the problem of dispersing excess energy accumulation;
- lighting beautiful objects and areas of the room (for example, niches) not only focuses your attention on them, but also transforms a positive attitude towards them into the overall positive energy of the house.

These are all the most important secrets of Feng Shui that you need to know. Everything else is from the area of narrow specialization. And the principles we told you about are not so difficult to follow. Maybe it's worth a try? What if life really changes for the better?! But don’t forget that the most important thing is your positive attitude towards yourself and the world!
Feng Shui zones by cardinal directions
For optimal distribution of qi energy in the living room, you need to know the purpose of each zone of space. They are distinguished with orientation to the cardinal directions:
- In the east and southeast, green and wood dominate. This is the family area where family photos should be.
- In the west there is metal of golden and silver tones. It is advisable to place a TV and other electrical appliances in this part of the room.
- In the south, the dominant color is red or orange, as well as fire. A fireplace or floor lamp would be appropriate in this area.
- The north corresponds to the element of water, blue, black and purple. It is advisable to place an aquarium here.
- The southwest is associated with shades of brown, terracotta and yellow. This is the love zone where there should be paired items.
Energy zones according to Feng Shui
Feng Shui Bagua Grid
If there is no sector in the room, then you need to hang pictures with landscapes and roads going beyond the horizon.
Advice! For such paintings you should use only a wooden frame, which can be painted gold, silver or green.
According to Feng Shui, paintings for the living room are best placed within frames
Each guest leaves his own energetic trace in the room, so different energies always intersect there. That is why paramount importance should be given to the arrangement of interior items and decorative elements. Only then will there always be positive energy in the house.
Installing an aquarium and placing plants according to Feng Shui
Wooden living room furnishings installed in the south-eastern part of the room promote prosperity and development, and water supports this potential. At the same time, the abundance of red flowers in the western and northwestern parts of the room can have a negative effect.
You should also monitor the balance of interior items.
According to Feng Shui, it is good to install an aquarium in the south-eastern part of the room, where it will promote well-being. Plants are best installed in the eastern sector of the living room.
Feng Shui of the living room: everything you need to know about the “heart of the home”
Feng Shui living room
Often, while impeccably designing such priority areas for all of us as the bedroom, workplace, children's room, we forget about the “heart of the house” - the living room, which takes second place in importance after the bedroom. It is in this part of the apartment that all family members gather to spend time together, where they welcome guests, have get-togethers, and simply relax. Therefore, it is not surprising that in Feng Shui theory, the living room has the status of “the face of the house” and the most open part facing the outside world. This room is characterized by the predominance of the active principle of Yang.
Living room arrangement according to Feng Shui: interior and furniture
If we talk about general rules and recommendations, the Feng Shui living room welcomes spacious, well-lit and comfortably furnished rooms where Qi energy can circulate and move freely.
Furniture in the living room
The furniture placed in the living room should not only be beautiful and comfortable, but also respectable. Sofas and armchairs with soft armrests are the optimal solution for furnishing a room. It is not recommended to choose furniture with elements of aggressive decor, heavy patterns and ornaments. And even more so, you shouldn’t place antiques here. Since the latter always carry the energy of the previous owners, which does not always have a favorable effect on the new owners.
Feng Shui of the living room “loves” when the furniture in the room is arranged in such a way that sharp corners and arrows of interior items do not fall on the people in it. If this is technically difficult to achieve, then the corners can be smoothed out with drapery fabrics, plants and decorative elements. Wardrobes in the living room (if any) must have closed shelves, preferably with rounded shapes.
For greater mutual understanding and unity among family members gathering in the living room, it is recommended to arrange sofas and armchairs so that they all “look” at the center of the room, and behind their backs there is certainly a wall, and not a window or door. Otherwise, the position of people sitting in such places becomes more vulnerable.
Where to put the TV according to Feng Shui
The living room is a room where the whole family gathers in the evenings, receive guests, have leisurely conversations, make important decisions and simply relax. Therefore, the design and interior of the living room should be taken seriously. You need to make sure that all family members feel protected, cozy and comfortable in this room. And, to begin with, let’s turn our attention to the movement of favorable Qi energy in the living room.
See how the energy moves in the living room. Are there any corners in your living room where energy stagnates? To fill your living room with favorable energy, hang crystals on the window. Does your living room have protruding walls? Then, to deepen the space, hang mirrors on them. Just don’t hang mirrors opposite each other, this creates a magical effect that we don’t really need in the living room.
Flowers and wall lamps will help you disperse energy.
It is not uncommon to find living rooms with beams on the ceiling, this can especially be seen in a wooden house. Beams and uneven ceilings interfere with the circulation of energy, but this can be corrected by hanging bamboo flutes with red ribbon on the beams. You can also dissipate energy with bells or moving objects.
To find out the configuration of the living room, it is enough to superimpose the Ba-Gua octagon on it, but this is only if your room has the shape of a rectangle. A rectangular room means that all elements are balanced. But the balance will be disrupted if there are any protrusions in the living room. And, in order to correct the negative feng shui of the living room, you need to arrange the furniture correctly. There are a number of rules that will help you when arranging furniture in the living room.
The TV in the living room is considered the center of attraction, so it is better to place it in the family, relationship, assistant or wealth zone. The chair or armchair where the head of the family sits must be placed so that the owner sits facing the door, but in no case opposite it. This is an important rule that must not be broken, otherwise a tense atmosphere will be created in the living room. Since the person who enters the living room will immediately meet your gaze, or any other person who is sitting in this place, and because of this, tension and a forced sequence of actions may arise.
The best place is usually located near the fireplace (if there is one), but so that it is convenient to watch TV from this place and from where you can see the view from the window. But this chair or chair must be placed at an angle. This creates a feeling of security for the person sitting in this place.
Usually they try to place sofas, armchairs and stools along the wall, but sometimes this is impossible to do, and then a chair or armchair is placed by the window. This creates a feeling of insecurity, but the situation can be corrected if you place a plant or a small shelf on the windowsill.
Armchairs, sofas and chairs can be placed in different ways, the main thing here is to consider what kind of people will sit on them. If the chairs are placed opposite each other, this will create a situation for an open conversation, but if your guests do not know each other well or one of them is too silent, then it is better to place the chairs and armchairs in such a way that they are at an angle. If the chairs are placed at an angle, this will contribute to a more comfortable environment, and those present will talk when they wish. The same will happen if you place the chairs opposite each other, but not much at an angle from the sofa. Then everyone will be comfortable in your living room because guests will be able to address one or all of them.
Living room symbols and talismans
The living room, as the most open part of the apartment, more than other rooms, needs symbols and talismans.
Pi Yao dogs - protectors of the home
It is considered favorable if in this part of the apartment there are images of the immortals of this world, fans, cranes, bats, all kinds of gods of prosperity and symbols of home protection. The most successful is considered to be a sailboat with riches (this can be either a model or an image in a painting), sailing in a direction favorable to the owners. Paintings and art objects that convey positivity are also suitable.
Flowers, especially fresh ones, have a positive effect on the energy of the living room. But you need to keep an eye on them, to prevent water from stagnating in the vases and wilted flowers from standing idle. This may have the opposite effect.
Among the plants, it is good to place bamboo in the hall, which is a symbol of growing and strengthening well-being.
Living room layout according to the 5 elements theory
For the optimal location of the living room and the “healthy” circulation of Qi energy, one should be guided by the theory of the 5 elements. According to this theory, there is the following emphasis:
- The Wood element and its corresponding green color rule in the east and southeast.
- Fire and red (orange) colors dominate in the south.
- Metal and its white, silver, golden colors are the west and northwest.
- The water element and black, purple, blue colors correspond to the north.
- Element Earth and yellow, brown, terracotta colors - southwest and northeast;
East and southeast
Living room in the eastern sector
It follows that if the living room is located in the east and southeast, then when decorating the room you should stick to green tones and, when choosing furniture and decor, give preference to wood. Flowers, plants (both live and painted) and all kinds of water signs and shades are well suited for such a living room.
North
The northern location of the living room suggests an interior in blue colors and shades. You can enhance the effect with the help of paintings depicting a waterfall or other water source, placed on the northern wall of the room. Since water is fueled by the energy of metal, products, talismans made of metal and elements of silver and white colors will be very useful here.
The living room, located in the south, is in the most advantageous position, since this side provides the presence of red shades in the room. Any red elements will help enhance the effect: curtains, pillows on the sofa, wallpaper with appropriate inclusions, etc. The presence of everything related to the element Wood will be relevant here.
Southwest and Northeast
The southwestern and northeastern living room “prefers” red and orange colors.
West and northwest
The well-being of the living room of the West and North-West will be enhanced by metal and all its shades. The symbolism and colors of the Earth element are suitable for such a room.
Unfortunately, not all of us are provided with ideal living conditions: sometimes one room serves as a living room, a bedroom, and a workplace. But, thanks to modern architectural and design solutions, these zones can be separated and delineated from each other by screens, color boundaries and other tricks, creating a full range of Bagua zones, where harmony and balance always reign.
