“I saw no angels, no tunnel, no light”: 5 real stories from people who experienced clinical death

The most complete overview of the main religious movements on the topic: “What God looks like” and “Who has seen God”

What the article is about:

— How, and in what religions and in what form God manifested Himself (general overview).
— Has anyone seen the real God in reality?

- Who, when, where and in what form saw the Lord God - for real.

— Why does the Lord God the Father manifest Himself differently among different peoples?

— How and in what form do yogis who have managed to develop mystical abilities contemplate God.

— WHAT GOD LOOKS LIKE (PICTURES; PHOTO — LINK TO SEE)–

In order to have an idea about this interesting topic, it is necessary to understand, at least approximately, the very type of energy controlled by the Supreme Being, who is usually called the Lord God, God the Father (derived from the word from the ancient Sanskrit language - “Bhagavan”).

In order to more realistically perceive the information below, it is worth remembering that even any substance consisting of molecules and atoms can take on different forms and expressions. Just recently, people could not believe that clouds, a huge iceberg, and water bubbling in a river are essentially the same thing, and not the most complex substance in its molecular structure - water (H₂O). Almost any substance can, depending on conditions, take on completely different, dissimilar forms of manifestation.

The Almighty, or the Lord God, who, according to various religious directions, is the First Cause of all things, possesses all types of energies known and unknown to people. These types of energies have much greater qualitative and quantitative characteristics compared to those known to us. Accordingly, based on this, it would be fair to assume that the manifestations of the Almighty ( Lord God the Father ) can be presented very widely. And based on the omnipotence of the Supreme Being (the Lord God), there is no reason to be surprised at this.

What God looks like in the scriptures.

For the search queries: “What God looks like,” or “Who has seen God,” search engines return articles that contain virtually no information about who, how, and in what form could see God. Apparently the authors did not conduct a complete review of all religious movements.

From Judaism and Islam, we cannot know what God looks like. This kind of information is not available there, for certain reasons.

On the topic: “Who has seen God,” there is usually enough information on the Internet - small information in the form of the following episodes taken from the Bible:

And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created Him (Genesis ch. 1.26-27).

This is how the prophet Daniel describes God:

It would seem that the last episode with Moses contradicts the above descriptions of what God looks like. But one must always remember that the Supreme Personality of Godhead has one important quality - omnipotence . Therefore, to say that God CANNOT (??) show Himself to someone, due to some conditions or “limitations” (Moses “... will not be able to stay alive”), means to question the main quality of the Almighty (!), namely His - omnipotence .

God cannot face any “conditions.” He Himself creates EVERYTHING, including conditions. This means that God can both create conditions and change them (or abolish them altogether). There is confirmation of this from the Bible:

  1. And Jacob called the name of the place Penuel; for [he said ] I saw God face to face, and my soul was preserved. ( Gen: 32:30)

Based on this, the episode from the Bible in which God says to Moses:

“You cannot see , because man cannot see Me and live .”

Can be considered in two options:

  1. God, due to any considerations, had no plan at all to appear (appear) before Moses and his people in any form;
  2. Moses talks to a certain Being who does NOT possess the property of omnipotence. Therefore, he cannot show himself, and at the same time, save the life of Moses.

And yet, for the interpretation of the sacred scriptures, you need to turn directly to competent people who study precisely this religious direction. And they don’t just study the scriptures, but they themselves practice this religious trend. All we can do is speculate on this topic and express our opinion.

But why did the Almighty NOT begin to manifest Himself before Moses and his people? After all, based on the quality of God’s omnipotence, He could reveal Himself to Moses, that is, make Moses see God and at the same time remain alive. To say that God “ COULD NOT ” do this means to question the undeniable basic quality of the Almighty - omnipotence.

There may be different opinions on this matter. One of them (in my opinion, the most logical) is the following: the people of the house of Israel, by their national characteristics, are very active people (we can often see this in practice). In their active material activities, they often forgot about observing spiritual commandments. What frightens a person most is the unknown unknown force , before which a person feels defenseless. Apparently, for their obedience, the Almighty God chose to maintain relations with the people of the house of Israel as precisely: an invisible and inexplicable Power that punishes for non-observance of His commandments. Actually, this is how everything is described in the Bible, right up to the moment when God “scattered” the people of the house of Israel throughout the world. By the way, we can find confirmation of this in the Bible:

Gospel of Matthew

5:8. “ Blessed are the pure in heart , for they God .

That is, God found it impossible to show Himself to the people of Israel because they were not sufficient (literally): “...pure in heart.”

God, as the Father and First Cause of all living beings, loves all living souls. And how - a wise father, God behaves differently with His children (and with each child).

In general, in the end, relationships with God (as well as with all living beings) must be built on love. But if some of His sons (or entire nations) are too disobedient and constantly deviate from the path of following the spiritual laws of existence, then God behaves strictly with them, and manifests Himself as an invisible Force that punishes for sinful acts. This is exactly what can be learned from the Bible, where God punishes disobedient nations in every possible way (including the people of Israel).

The concept of God

First of all, it is important to understand and clarify one simple truth: who is God? The answer here is not so easy. The Bible says that this is a Person more powerful and more perfect than whom there is no one. God is the Purest Spirit, Creator of heaven and earth, Lawgiver and Creator. Unlike other earthly creations, He has no boundaries, and therefore nothing is impossible for Him.

The main characteristics of the Almighty in more detail:

  • Love;
  • perfection;
  • originality;
  • absolute independence;
  • above all earthly conditions;
  • omnipresence;
  • immeasurability;
  • eternity;
  • omnipotence;
  • omnipotence.

In some sacred sources, the concept of God is replaced by the Supreme Mind, the Divine Plan, which also occurs. But the most important thing is that His particle is in every person living on Earth. And it is called the Higher Self, or the Human Spirit. It is through this component that people connect with God.

Religion

About 7.5 billion people currently live on planet Earth (on 5 continents, in 197 countries). Each group of countries professes a religion that belongs to one of the world: Christianity, Buddhism, Islam. Often this is a specific confession, which is part of one of the world’s, but adapted to a specific people, ethnic settlement, culture. What is most surprising is that in each of these three main religions God is called differently: Christ, Allah, Buddha.

It is also known that in ancient times, some cultures revered the natural elements (Water, Fire, Air, Earth), Stars, Moon, Sun, idols and more as the Supreme Mind. They built temples for them, worshiped them, and made sacrifices. Most likely, this happened due to a lack of knowledge and the low level of development of people. Due to the fact that this topic is quite global, it is unlikely that it will be possible to consider everything at once. Thus, we can consider God from the point of view of the Christian religion, since the Orthodox faith, revered by Russians, belongs to it.

Universal form of the Supreme.

In “BHAGAVAD-GITA” (“Song of God”) , which describes the incarnation of the Supreme 5 thousand years ago, Krishna presented His universal form. The entire universe is the transformed energy of God (the Supreme). Therefore, this universal form of the Almighty, in its essence, represents the entire Universe, with everything that is happening, what has happened and what will happen in the future. This universal form could be seen by people who had reached a high level in spiritual development. Above we quoted an excerpt from the Gospel of Matthew :

5:8. “ Blessed are the pure in heart , for they God .

And also, the form of God can be seen by those people whom the Almighty Himself allowed to see this form.

This is how the universal form is described in BHAGAVAD-GITA :

("BHAGAVAD-GITA"; CHAPTER 11)

The Almighty has the quality of being the Supreme Almighty Being. Therefore, He can manifest Himself in any place, and in the form in which He considers it necessary and appropriate for a given situation, and at a given time. This article does not describe all the forms in which the Almighty has manifested and will manifest Himself. These forms of incarnations and manifestations are described in the Vedic scriptures, which are vast in scope. In order not to get confused, and to understand everything in the necessary sequence, you should begin familiarizing yourself with the Vedic scriptures with “BHAGAVAD-GITA” - as it is.” This work is presented with comments, and therefore is perceived as it should be. “BHAGAVAD-GITA” is recognized as the quintessence, the essence of all Vedic knowledge. And therefore it gives a general and correct understanding of the structure and cause of the entire universe as a whole. BHAGAVAD -GITA” presents all the main options and paths of human spiritual development.

……………………………………………..

Among one people, God manifests Himself as an unknown and invisible omnipotent force. By manifesting Himself in this way, God built His relationship with this people through fear (for deviation from His laws). Apparently this society was at this certain stage of understanding the relationship with the Almighty.

In the ancient Vedic civilization, God incarnated in an incomparably beautiful human form, so that the people of this civilization could build their relationship with God through love! Such relationships of mutual all-consuming rational love between a person and the Almighty (God) are the final, final stage of the spiritual development of a person and a developed human society.

A person may not believe in God. But the existence of the human soul is, in fact, a proven fact. I recommend reading Michael Newton's book JOURNEY OF THE SOUL. A professional hypnologist of the highest category documents the stories of his patients in his book. This book immediately after publication became a world bestseller.

You can view and read the book online by clicking on the link “MICHAEL NEWTON: “JOURNEY OF THE SOUL”

PS

By the way, do you happen to know the origin of the wordbeef ”? (cow meat).

One of the names of the Almighty (God) is “Patron of cows . In Sanskrit it sounds: “Govinda” . “ Go ” – “ cow ”, “ Winda ” – “ patron ”. The Almighty is the Patron of cows, who, like a second mother, feed him with their milk. Therefore, in Vedic culture, a cow is a sacred animal, patronized by the Almighty Himself!

“Govindam – adi purusham, tam aham bhajami”

translation:
“I worship Govinda, the primordial Lord.”
What a shame we are treating our ancient culture, calling the name of the Almighty (!) a piece of the corpse of an animal that feeds us with its milk as if it were our own children!

It is from the word “ Govinda ” that the word “ Lord ” comes from. And also from “ Go vindam” - “ God ”.

Holy Bible

God in Christianity is a Person possessing such outstanding qualities as love, holiness, mercy, and supernaturalism. This is exactly how He treats His children - people, no matter what, like loving parents who accept their child in any way and unconditionally. Even if some kind of wrongdoing has been committed, but the person has repented, God forgives and takes him under his caring wing.

This Person is spoken of very clearly and in detail in the Holy Scriptures - the Bible, which for many centuries was written by people “led by the Holy Spirit.” Therefore, we can consider that God for a person is to some extent an open book. Without hiding or hiding anything, He shows Himself and His miracles to many people even today. In Old Testament times, more than eighty righteous people saw Him through visions, images, dreams in the form of a superman and angels, like a force or a fireproof bush.

In this way, the Lord conveyed very important information, prophecies, and warnings to his chosen ones. This concerned both individual people and the whole nation, both the present (at that time) and the future.

These are the people who saw God:

  • Abraham;
  • Jacob;
  • Moses;
  • Aaron;
  • Nadav;
  • Abihu;
  • Job;
  • Isaiah;
  • Ezekiel;
  • Daniel;
  • Micah and others.

About each of these righteous prophets it can be said that their eyes saw God. Albeit at approximately different times and eras, but this was what is said in the Holy Scriptures.

Healing the Blind

(MP3 file. Duration 11:08 min. Size 8.1 Mb)

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit!

Today, Sunday, continues our celebration of Holy Epiphany. According to today's Gospel, the witnesses of the Epiphany were two blind men from Jericho. Through Jesus Christ, God made the blind see.

Some of the evangelists, however, mention one blind man, and some two. Some say that Jesus healed them when he entered Jericho, and others say that he healed them when he left Jericho. It is not so important. The evangelists in their memoirs equally reflected the main essence. A famous blind man from Jericho named Bartimaeus, together with another unknown blind man, miraculously received his sight and followed Jesus. The Apostle Luke, whose Gospel we read today during the liturgy, tried to be not only historically, but also theologically accurate. Luke emphasized the blind man's faith in the coming Messiah.

When Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man on the road begged for alms. If you imagine this picture now, such a typical blind person will be no different from those homeless people who beg from churches. A blind man hears people passing by and wonders: “What is this?” They say to him: “This is Jesus of Nazareth coming” (see: Luke 18: 36, 37). And then he begins to shout: “Jesus, Son of David! have mercy on me!” (Luke 18:38). This invocation of David's name shows us that the blind man was not like an ordinary beggar.

"Nazarene" means "from Nazareth." This expression emphasizes the earthly kinship of Jesus with the city of his childhood and youth. For the crowd, Jesus the Wonderworker is just an ordinary person, a resident of Nazareth. But for the blind man He is the Messiah, “Son of David!” A blind man does not try to guess the rich man in a crowd in order to ask him for a piece of bread. The soul of the blind man screams, calling the Messiah to him. He is persistent in prayer. He is gagged, but he does not stop until the Lord calls him to Himself.

Evangelist Mark notices a touching detail: when Jesus ordered a blind man to be brought to Him, he “threw off his outer garment, stood up and came” (Mark 10:50). During the absence of the blind man, his clothes could be stolen, trampled, or due to his blindness, he could simply not find them again. But the blind man does not look back, he recklessly stretches out his hands to the Lord.

It would seem that we can put an end to this. We realized that we were not like ordinary homeless people who see in the shepherd only a wallet with money, a source of saturation, without demanding from the shepherd a good word about the Heavenly Father. But Christ Himself continues further. He publicly asks the blind man of Jericho, testing his faith: “What do you want from Me?” And he answers: “Lord! that I may receive my sight” (Luke 18:41). Jesus said to him: “Look! your faith has saved you” (Luke 18:42). And immediately the blind man’s eyes began to see again. He regained his sight completely. The sufferer not only had his sight restored, but he finally saw the “Son of David” about whom the Old Testament prophets wrote. Many came to Jesus for healing, but not all returned to thank and glorify God. But this son of Timaeus not only saw the power of God in Jesus, but also followed Him with other disciples (see: Luke 18:43).

In the biblical context, the word “see” denotes such a holistic knowledge of the world when a person is able to see both with bodily eyes (see: Mark 8: 24 et seq.) and with a certain spiritual eye (see: Ps. 33: 9). The biblical “prophet”, or “enlightened person”, in modern language, sees spiritual realities behind the external physicality of the world, can read signs from above (see: Dan. 5: 25–28), and reveal the past and future to people. This knowledge from above does not float in the air, in the astral worlds - it is sent to the clairvoyant by God. And he sends exactly as much as God pleases.

God, as the Creator of the world, sees it through and through (see: Ps. 93: 9). While a person sees only what is perceived with the eyes, the Lord sees into the hearts (see: 1 Samuel 16:7), sees what a person does in secret from others (see: Matthew 6:4), looks at thoughts of the heart (see: Matthew 9:4; Luke 9:47).

To know, to see God (see: Matt. 5:8) is the desire and hope of many people (see: Job 19: 26 et seq.; Ps. 10: 7; 16: 15). Moses himself dreamed of seeing God face to face But what is given to the angels (see: Matthew 18:10) remains inaccessible to man in this life. The contemplation of God exceeds the strength of mortal man, man cannot see God and stay alive (see: Exodus 33: 20; Judges 13:22) Eye has not seen the mystery of God’s love, nor has ear heard of it (see: 1 Cor. 2:9).

Although the Bible writes that Moses saw the image of the Lord (see: Numbers 12: 8; cf.: 14: 14), looked after Him (see: Exodus 33: 18–23). The Old Testament Jacob saw the Lord in a dream at the top of the stairs (see: Gen. 28: 12–15), and after a night fight with Him he testified: “I saw God face to face” (Gen. 32: 30). The prophet Isaiah beheld the Lord with His angelic army in the temple (see: Is. 6), and Ezekiel saw the four living creatures around the throne of the glory of the Lord (see: Ezek. 1: 3–11; 43). However, all the prophets did not contemplate the essence of the invisible God (see: 1 Tim. 6:16), but only “the likeness of the glory of the Lord” (Ezek. 2:1).

Being established in the body, writes the Apostle Paul, “we walk by faith, and not by faith ” (2 Cor. 5: 7). And we are called to love God, Whom we do not see (see: 1 John 4:20). Now we see, as it were, through a glass darkly, fortune-telling, and only in the next century will we see “face to face” (1 Cor. 13: 12), beholding “His face” will become available in the Kingdom of God (see: Rev. 22: 4 ), the children of God there will see the Father “as He is” (1 John 3:2).

Nowadays, every now and then in confession you hear one of the parishioners telling fortunes on cards, turning to grandmothers or clairvoyants with a request to find out how best to act. Temptations to go elsewhere intensify when tragedy or unhappy love befalls someone. But if not everything was revealed to the prophets, if the Holy Scripture does not tell everything to the end, if Christ Himself says that only the Heavenly Father knows the times and seasons, then how can those imaginary soothsayers, like the Pythian priestesses, know the past and future? , ventriloquize incoherent verbs? Every plant that the Heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted; if a blind man leads a blind man, then both will fall into a pit (Matthew 15: 13–14), these are the words of Jesus Christ.

The source of true knowledge is God. God is love, and He wants man to be blessed. “No one has ever seen God” except the Son (John 1:18; see also: John 5:37; 6:46; 1 Tim 6:16; 1 John 4:12), and therefore only those who have seen the Son saw the Father (see: John 12:45; 14:9), was able to join the Source of knowledge. Only those who are pure in heart can see God (see: Matt. 5:8), only those who live in holiness (see: Heb. 12:14).

When in the Gospel reading, as today, we are talking about the “insight” of someone, the emphasis is primarily on the ability to recognize Jesus Christ as the Messiah, the Son of God. To see the glory of God in Christ means to receive sight, to become one who sees clearly.

The same word “see” in Holy Scripture means looking with bodily eyes and some kind of insight into the essence of things. While many Israelis saw Jesus Christ with their eyes, but did not see Him as Born Again (see: Mark 4:12; cf. 2 Cor 4:4), a simple Samaritan woman was able to see that Jesus was a Prophet ( see: John 4: 19). His disciples-apostles saw Christ as the “Son of the living God” (see: Matthew 16:16; John 6:69). Even the blind and those born blind are able to see the Son of God in Jesus (see: John 9:37).

Such insight from above, the vision of the Father through the Son brings salvation, eternal life (see: John 14). What benefits does visiting a clairvoyant give? No one goes to fortune tellers to see God the Father or learn to pray. On the contrary, at this moment the Christian seems to close his eyes, turn off his spiritual eyes, entrusting his soul to a dubious clairvoyant. And during the session, everything accumulated in the spiritual treasury of the heart is stolen by a fortune-teller-sorcerer.

Faith in Jesus Christ as a Prophet allowed the Samaritan woman to find in Jesus the source of living water; faith in Jesus Christ as the “Son of David” brought sight to the blind; faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God made the Galilean fishermen the greatest prophets.

Let us open the eyes of our faith. The blind men of Jericho already believed in the Messiah, but we still look at Christ as the historical Jesus of Nazareth. Christ is the same yesterday and today, He hears, acts, works miracles.

“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:29) - these words He said not to the blind man of Jericho, not to Thomas the unbeliever, but to us, the inhabitants of the 21st century: doubting, hesitating, falling, but rising again with the hope of someday seeing God as He is.

Christ is the Light of the world, He came into the world so that everyone who believes in Him would not remain in darkness (see: John 12:46). “Whoever walks by day does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world” (John 11:9). In order to become children of light (see: Eph. 5:8), lamps in the world (see: Phil. 2:15), let us look for answers to signs from above only in Jesus Christ. Let us seek answers to heavenly questions through Him. He is “Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end” (Rev. 1:8). In Him we find the source of knowledge if we believe in Christ as the coming Messiah.

Amen.

Abraham and Jacob

The righteous Abraham and his wife Sarah lived on the land of Israel in the 19th-17th centuries BC. They walked before God and led a pure and simple life. And their age had already become advanced (about a hundred years), but there were no children. Although God predicted that many nations would come from Abraham. The book of Genesis (chapter 18) tells how the Lord once appeared to him, sitting by a tent in the oak grove of Mamre. And three men appeared before Abraham, whom he bowed to and invited to visit, washed their feet, and fed them. And the men asked about their wife, Sarah. But she did not show herself to them, but stood at the entrance to the tent and listened to the conversation. And Abraham stood under the tree and communicated with the travelers.

Then one of the husbands said that he would be visiting him and Sarah again, and by that time a son would be born into their family. This happened after some time (Genesis, chapter 21). Abraham's son Isaac was born, from whom came the multitude of nations predicted by the Lord. After a while, Jacob, the grandson of Abraham, saw God face to face when he walked towards his brother Esau. Returning to his native land, he was subject to some struggle with the Force at night, as if someone was trying to overcome him. But as it turned out later, this someone was the Lord, who tested Jacob and told him: “You have wrestled with God, and you will overcome men” (Genesis, chapter 32, verse 28). And he gave Jacob a new name - Israel. The man spoke with the Lord face to face, and his soul was preserved.

Moses

The outstanding biblical figure of the Old Testament period is Moses. To some extent it can be said of him that he is one of the few who saw God every day. Because during his forty-year journey through the desert with the people of Israel, he quite often communicated with the Lord, who through Moses gave the people information about their future. But the most important were the 10 commandments.

The fate of this outstanding person has been unique since infancy. According to research by biblical scholars and historians, the approximate time of life and activity of this person on Earth is the 16th-12th centuries BC. The name Moses translated means “saved from the water.” He was born into an Israeli family. His people, including his relatives, were under the yoke of Egypt. And the then ruler, Pharaoh, gave a decree to kill all infant boys so that the number of Israelites would not become too large.

Then his Israeli mother, alarmed by such a sad fate for her son, hid little Moses in a basket and sent him floating along the waters of the Nile River. By the will of God, the daughter of Pharaoh discovered the child. Soon she adopted him and raised him with her son. Already in adulthood, Moses, having learned the secret of his origin, began to observe that his people continued to be oppressed and kept in slave conditions.

Having killed the Egyptian caretaker, he hides in the land of the Midianites. It is here that the Lord first appears before him in the form of an unburnt bush. Having heard his mission to free the Israelites from Egyptian slavery, Moses returns again to Egypt.

After long requests and refusals on the part of his brother, Pharaoh, after inflicting 10 plagues on the Egyptians, the people were released. But the Egyptian troops still pursued them. And then the greatest miracle happened - the waters of the Red Sea parted, and the Israelis, as if along a corridor, passed through it. And Pharaoh's warriors died. After 40 years of traveling through the desert, Moses managed to bring the people to the land of Canaan and soon die.

The Bible describes an incident when he, as well as his brother Aaron, Nadab, Abihu and 70 elders of Israel, while offering burnt offerings, saw the living God. Under His feet was something made of sapphire stone. And His hands were stretched out to the elect. They saw, they ate and they drank (Exodus, chapter 24).

Is it necessary to “see” in order to “know”?

“I'll believe it when I see it” is the dismissive statement we throw out when we doubt the existence of “it” in a discussion. In fact, we don't need to "see" to believe. We are fully capable of believing if the evidence is presented to us correctly, but if we were not, our lives would become chaotic.

For example, before going on a trip, people check the weather forecast and traffic conditions. If traffic is difficult on the most direct route, they will happily take a longer route. They don't need to "see" the traffic to make sure and change the traffic plan according to the information available.

The same is true in all areas of our lives, from work to communications, we act according to the information available. We connect with other people without “seeing.” We don't need to video chat or otherwise receive visual confirmation from our online colleagues that they are them, although we may certainly be curious to see them. We have no doubt that they are real because although we do not see them, we receive evidence of their activities like emails, texts and documents.

The same thing was once said by an eloquent Bedouin from Arabia when he was asked how he could be sure of the existence of God if he had never seen him. He replied: “Camel dung indicates the presence of camels, donkey dung indicates that donkeys have passed through, and footprints in the sand indicate the presence of a traveler. Therefore, a sky full of constellations and seas raging with waves, do they not point to the All-Knowing, the Almighty?

This analogy may seem too simple, perhaps even crude, but the Bedouin's point of view is very profound. As representatives of humanity, we are amazed at our own achievements in all fields of knowledge, be it architecture, technology or art. But we never attribute our achievements to chance or to any natural process. We know that each of our inventions has an author - an inventor or manufacturer. However, despite all our achievements, they are insignificant compared to the wonders of the “natural world”. The tallest skyscraper cannot compare to the tallest mountain; the brightest lamp is invisible next to the sun; and a mighty civilization is minuscule in comparison with the extended universe.

If we do not agree that our humble crafts could have arisen by chance, is it not reasonable to assume that the mountains, the sun and the entire universe have an all-powerful Creator?

Job

The Bible also tells about the righteous Job, who lived in ancient times. He was a rich and noble man. Job's happy family lacked nothing. But one day God decided to allow all the misfortunes and suffering that can befall a person to come to him: devastation, death of loved ones, illness. Job's wife advised him to curse the Lord and die. But he still endured the test. As a result, when the righteous man completely despaired, the Almighty again turned his gaze to him and blessed him and gave him even more than what he had before. And in the book of Job, chapter 42, it is told that the righteous man heard God with the hearing of the ear, and his eyes now see Him.

Faith in the invisible

The limitations of our abilities are placed on us by God. He did not give us the ability to see Him, but He gave us the ability to know His existence. However, there will come a time when the invisible will become visible - a moment in which God will give us the opportunity to see what we could not see before. Then we will see the unseen such as death, the grave, angels, the Day of Judgment and the afterlife.

Those who believed in what was said without seeing it, and acted according to the commands of God as ordered by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), will prove to be extremely successful.

It is these successful people who will ultimately “see” God. They will be given the ability to see God without being destroyed like that mountain. This will be a wonderful confirmation of what they always knew.

Prophet Isaiah

700 years before the birth of Jesus Christ, the holy prophet Isaiah lived on Earth, who was from a royal family by origin. He received a truly Christian upbringing. He began to prophesy after he saw God. This happened in the year of the death of King Uzziah. And Isaiah knew that the Lord was sitting on a majestic throne, and the edges of His robe filled the whole temple. He was surrounded by seraphim with six wings (Isaiah, chapter 6).

Thus, the Prophet Isaiah became the chosen man - the one who saw God. He prophesied under the kings Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, and Manasseh for 60 years. He had the gift of working miracles. In adulthood, Isaiah married a pious girl who also had the gift of prophecy.

Is seeing God enough to believe?

What happens if we can see God? Will this help put an end to all doubts about His existence and unite people into one religious family? Will this mark the beginning of a utopian society on earth? Imagine that the average person could see God. How long will people have to contemplate Him to be completely convinced? Should they talk to God? Will other people believe that those people really saw Him? And after they see God, how confident can we be that their minds won't play tricks on them and cause them to doubt again? Will they then need to see God again someday?

Prophet Ezekiel

Approximately in the 7th-6th centuries BC there lived such a clergyman. The name Ezekiel literally means “mighty God.” During his lifetime, Jerusalem was captured by King Nebuchadnezzar (6th century BC), and the prophet himself was captured. Settled in Tel Aviv and got married. And his house became a real shelter and consolation for the exiled Jews, where Ezekiel preached about God. 5 years after the prophet was captured, he had a revelation and a vision. It was as if the heavens had opened, where he saw God sitting on a throne of sapphire. And metal blazed, and fire, and radiance, and a rainbow around Him (Ezekiel, chapter 1).

Great prophet Daniel

This is another chosen one of God, who lived in the 7th-6th centuries BC, who is a descendant of a noble family of Jews. He ended up in Babylonian captivity. As a capable student, he ended up in a Babylonian school for captives and received a Chaldean education. He served at the court of Nebuchadnezzar in the Babylonian kingdom, and then of Cyrus and Darius in the Persian kingdom. The prophet Daniel had the gift of seeing God in dreams and interpreting visions. For about seventy years he was a sage and chief adviser to rulers.

And there was a divine revelation to the prophet (Daniel, chapter 10) that he saw a man in linen clothing, girded with gold. His body is like topaz, and his face is like lightning. The eyes are like burning lamps. And the arms and legs are shining copper. And the voice seems to be talking to many people. And only the prophet Daniel saw this, but the people standing with him did not. They just felt fear and ran away. And the husband spoke to the trembling Daniel and predicted future events. Most likely, God himself appeared to him in this way. Because He was always with the prophet invisibly and invariably answered all his prayers and requests for help. And also protected. His miraculous salvation in the lions' den made King Darius and everyone living in every region of his kingdom believe in the Lord as the living God.

Clinical death: the story of a believer

  • Clinical death occurred due to a collision between two cars. I found myself in a hot, empty room behind bars. There were several creatures next to me. The realization came that these were demons. They started tearing my body apart.

Afterwards, suffocation set in again, and the body began to increase in size. I woke up with an artificial respiration apparatus, doctors crowded around. Suddenly, the image of my father appeared in front of me, and my soul returned to my body.

Jesus Christ is the visible image of God

But the most obvious, visible and seen image of the Lord by many people is his Only Begotten Son. There is a verse in the Bible (John chapter 17, verse 3): “This is Eternal Life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” Also in the book of Matthew, chapter 17, verse 5, it says that Jesus is the beloved Son of God, in whom He is well pleased. The qualities of the Messiah are akin to the qualities of the Heavenly Father. His kindness, mercy, forgiveness, generosity, wisdom, insight, generosity and so on - all this is the embodiment of God himself on Earth.

And the fact that Jesus came to people to show what the Father is like also speaks of the Lord’s enormous love for man, which literally permeates all of Holy Scripture, from the book of Genesis to the Revelation of John the Theologian. And it can also be argued that Christ is the one who sees God every day. And the heart of the Son is the same as the heart of the Father.

Other forms of manifestation of the Almighty.

IN ADDITION TO THOSE DESCRIBED AND SHOWN ABOVE, THERE ARE OTHER FORMS THAT THE SUPREME PERSONALITY OF GOD TAKES.

When the Almighty was born (incarnated) on Earth 5 thousand years ago (in the form of “Krishna”), He first appeared before His parents in a four-armed form. But His parents got scared, prayed, and Krishna took on his usual two-armed human form. But subsequently, to his friend Arjuna, at his request, He ( Krishna ) showed His four-armed form, in an instant appearing before him in this form, then again taking on the usual human form.

By the way, this is proof of the incarnation of the Almighty, which can be used to test any charlatan who will claim that he is “the incarnation of God.” As proof, he must demonstrate the four-armed form of God (the Supreme).

There is a spiritual practice - “mystical yoga”, which is now practically lost and not practiced. By properly performing meditation on a specific form of the Supreme, a yogi will be able to achieve mystical perfections. Such as: acquiring the property of levitation (elimination of the law of gravity), moving your body in space a certain distance in the shortest moment of time. A yogi who achieves perfection in spiritual practice can leave his physical body and go to other planets with highly developed civilizations. This type of spiritual practice has practically been lost in modern times. When engaging in this type of spiritual perfection, a person must devote all his time to this activity, completely abandoning communication and life in modern society. Yoga classes (performing various asanas (positions), exercises), which are known in the Western world, represent only the initial stage of this complex spiritual practice. The result of performing well-known various yoga exercises will only be calming the mind and the proper functioning of the body as a whole.

So, in order to achieve truly mystical perfection in engaging in this type of spiritual practice, the yogi meditates on the form of God (the Supreme) located in the area of his heart. This form also represents the four-armed form of the Almighty, measuring about 20 centimeters. This four-armed form of the Supreme is exactly the same as the one in which God (the Supreme) resides in the transcendental (spiritual) universes.

About the people of our time

Thus, the moment became a little clearer about how and where people who lived in Old Testament times saw God. Well, as for His Son, everything becomes clear from the words of Jesus: “I and the Father are one” (from John, chapter 10, verse 30). In the present era there is hardly a person who can literally say the words: “I see God every day.” After all, the Lord is a Spiritual Person.

But at the same time, His creations and deeds are visible: the huge and beautiful Universe, stars, planets, seas and oceans, trees and birds, man. Be that as it may, we are also created in the image and likeness of God. And there is even such an expression that every person we meet in life is “the Lord in disguise.”

God in Songs and Poetry

Modernity also glorifies the Almighty with songs and poems. One Christian music group called Pilgrim has a song that repeats the following words: “I see God every day.” She became a real hit. And this is not surprising, because it says that a person (if he wants it) can really see the Creator in the morning, just by opening his eyes. And He is everywhere: “and in hearts”, “and on earth as in heaven”, “and in the farewell cry of a crane...”. And the great Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov very often in his philosophical and lyrical works sang the Lord in His creations or asked Him:

“...And I can comprehend happiness on earth and in heaven I see God.”

Evidence for the Existence of God

3) Chemistry student who demonstrated that heaven and hell exist

According to urban legend, the following story began with a response that was received from a University of Washington chemistry student.

The answer was so profound that the professor decided to share it with his colleagues via the Internet, so we have the opportunity to find out.

And here is the question itself: Is hell an ectothermic place (that is, it gives off heat) or an endothermic place (that is, it absorbs heat)?

Most students answered the question using Boyle's law (a gas cools when it expands and heats up when it contracts).

However, one of the students approached the answer like this:

First, we must understand how the mass of Hell changes over time

. That is, we must have an idea of at what speed souls move to Hell and at what speed they leave it.

I believe that it is quite reasonable to assume that if a soul has already gone to Hell, then it is unlikely that it will leave it.

As for exactly how many souls go to Hell, it is worth looking at the various religions that exist in the world today.
