Miracle. What is it and how does it manifest itself in our lives?
Usually, when a phenomenon does not lend itself to normal human logic, we say: this is some kind of miracle!
In the bustle of days, how many miracles we miss! We cannot hear the morning birdsong because of the noise of the electric kettle on; we don't look at our feet while rushing to a work meeting; we do not raise our heads to the sky, thoughtfully walking home...
And only out of the ordinary events make us think about the main thing. These events - most often sad ones - give birth to a miracle. Only through pain, the loss of what you valued, do you begin to understand real values and separate the wheat from the chaff.
Our car burned down. All, completely. It seems like a piece of iron, well, but... It was our only thing, half with the bank, true, but still ours. We did not pay extra for the loan, and there was no insurance, as well as money in our pocket. There was nothing to do... We walked around her, walked... Everyone was grieving about his own: my husband was about where to find money, and all my thoughts were about the image of Blessed Xenia of Petersburg, which I left in the glove compartment of the car. I felt so sorry for the shrine!
How did the icon of Blessed Xenia manage to survive, since the car turned into a firebrand?!
And lo and behold! I noticed an object in the front garden near the house. The icon lay unharmed, even the packaging was not burned. Nearby we found what was left of the airbags. Replaying the combustion process itself in our heads, we could not fully understand how the icon managed to survive, because the car turned into a firebrand. And then the thought pierced like an arrow: we ourselves could turn into these firebrands!
An amazing incident that was revealed by God helped strengthen our faith not only for us and the eyewitnesses, but also for the people who hear this story.
With the help of God's grace, by taking a closer look at your life, you can see many ordinary miracles, which in fact, with an even more detailed look, turn out to be extraordinary.
Undeserved happiness
I remember my first feeling of coming to the temple. It is closely connected with the icon of the blessed Matrona of Moscow. Touching her, I felt as if I was standing in a pillar of bright light and my heart was filled with it. I discovered a source of joy, peace and love for people. Since then, I can easily find the icon of Matronushka in every church and go to venerate the saint. And every time despondency grips my soul, I rush to the Intercession Monastery on Taganka, where the relics of the revered old woman rest. I always have internal conversations with her and treat her as the closest living person.

Several years ago I tried in vain to find a job, but I so wanted to realize myself as a professional. Age was slowly creeping up to 30 years, and the same half was not nearby, and when I put love and work on the scale, the first always outweighed.
“You’ll meet him, you’ll meet him,” was Matronushka’s answer to my prayer for my betrothed
On that gloomy, cloudy day, I went to Matronushka with a request for the gift of a craft. She took a turn, which meandered in a long line, and began her leisurely internal conversation with the old woman. I feel that in my heart I’m not praying for work, but to find my soul mate and create an Orthodox family. As soon as I thought about this, a ray of light appeared among the clouds, and I found myself in it. How joyful it became!
“You will meet him, you will,” was the answer given to me.
Every person in line firmly believed, and it was evident in their eyes, that the old woman would help, and everyone found a response, almost immediately. It’s not for nothing that Saint Matrona is called a helper - it’s been tested for herself. Reading something like this two years ago, I would have believed it, but I could not have imagined that this could happen to me too. It turns out that it still can! The main thing is faith that the Lord God will not abandon you. And one more thing: the most difficult situations are given to us to re-understand our lives and ultimately change ourselves for the better with the help of our Lord.
And we met. My missing half was standing 10 centimeters away from me. I, not yet suspecting anything, turned my head in search of a knowledgeable person who could tell me where to put a note for Matronushka. The father of the family stood nearby and answered my question. Later, my husband told me that he even felt a pang of jealousy because I didn’t ask him.
We venerated the relics at the same time, and I again felt a living, bright response. I took my turn to give the notes, a young man behind me, looking offended somehow. It flashes through my head: what a strange reaction... I don’t see anyone in the temple at all, but here... The line grew. The young man walked away, then appeared at the moment of an emotional argument between the grannies about who was behind whom. I feel like the guy is being pushed to the side of the line. An inner voice says: “Tell me that this young man is standing behind you. Tell!" I did just that. We made eye contact and laughed.
We left the church... and now we walk hand in hand through family, sometimes not entirely smooth, life. As soon as we got married, our marriage passed, and continues to pass, the most difficult tests of strength. Either we have troubles with our loved ones, or we ourselves begin to get emotional. But, no matter what, we remember that day, we remember who tied us, we just join hands and go to Matronushka.
Martin de Porres
Martin de Porres was a simple man who worked like all the other poor and sick people of Peru. During his lifetime, many miracles were attributed to him: levitation, magical healing and the ability to be in two places at the same time. For example, in 1956, a cobblestone fell on a man’s leg and crushed the bone. He developed gangrene and was diagnosed with hepatitis. Doctors were going to amputate the leg, but one woman prayed over it all night. The next day, when the bandages were removed, the leg was unrecognizable. Amputation was no longer necessary.
Virgin Mary of Guadalupe
Apparitions of the Virgin Mary have occurred throughout world history; in 1531, she appeared to the Mexican peasant Juan Diego. The Mother of God told him to ask the bishop to build a temple. Diego went to the bishop, but he did not believe him and demanded proof. Then the Virgin Mary told Diego to pick roses from a barren hill and put them in his cloak. Having done so, he took these roses to the bishop, and, unfolding his cloak, he saw there an image of the Virgin Mary. This portrait has survived to this day in excellent condition.
Church cures cancer
At 57, Greg Thomas learned that he had terminal cancer. He lost his job and was ready to say goodbye to his family, with no hope of getting out. One day he was walking his dog and came across an abandoned church. Not knowing what to do with himself, he decided to restore this church and asked the city for financial assistance in exchange for the fact that he would restore the temple himself. After the church was restored, it turned out that the disease had subsided.
Michael Crow's Heart Failure
At 23, Michael Crow suffered from a condition called acute myocarditis. His heart was functioning at only 10 percent, and this was harming his entire body. A transplant was necessary, otherwise he would not survive. However, doctors categorically ruled out the possibility of a transplant, considering it too risky. An hour after the doctors’ decision, his blood pressure rose, and a little later the left chamber of his heart started working on its own. An MRI scan showed that there was not a single scar on the heart. Now the young man has already been discharged from the hospital and is completely healthy.

He tracked down his biological mother in 2021, and she told him his father's name. Deland's own father turned out to be his colleague - a football coach - and his older comrade and mentor, with whom he had known his entire adult life.
19 year coma
In 2007, Jan Grzebski woke up from a 19-year coma to find that Poland was no longer under communist rule and that everyone now had a mobile phone. But the most amazing thing is that he was able to survive such a long coma, because the doctors said that he would live no more than a few years. Ian credits his wife for caring for him all these years and moving his body for several hours a day, thanks to which he avoided bedsores.
Peter Skillberg lived in a car under the snow for two months

Swedish resident Peter Skillberg survived being in 30-degree frost without food in a snow-covered car for two months. Two local residents on scooters were racing along a forest road covered with a meter of snow near the city of Umeå. Suddenly they discovered a car that looked like a giant snowdrift. They decided that someone had simply left their old junk car in the forest. However, it was decided to look inside, and Peter was found, who had not eaten anything from December 19, 2011 to February 17, 2012. The man survived thanks to the machine, which became almost an igloo and protected him from severe frosts.

Mysterious voice
In 2005, Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck lost control and her car fell into the river, leaving the road. In the back seat was the young woman's one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. Lynn died instantly, and the girl hung upside down over the icy water, but was still alive. She spent 12 hours like this. Four police officers who arrived at the scene of the accident claim that they heard a distant voice asking for help. Finding the little girl, they rescued her. No one understands how she could survive such an accident.
