Quietly show me at least one angel. Raya, 2nd class.

There are many posts on the Internet with statements from children about love, about life, about family, about children’s conversations with God. They are touching and sincere. This is probably why you can read them, reread them and come back to them again. On my blog there are also several collections - seemingly playful, but in fact painfully serious. Today I again want to return to the children's topic and offer a selection of children's sayings from M. Dymov's book “Children's Conversation with God.” Mikhail Dymov, a Riga writer, asked children aged 6 to 10 years to share their thoughts with the Almighty, ask him troubling questions, and maybe ask him for something. Remember, there is a wonderful legend.

When a child is born, the angel puts his finger to his lips (the hole under the nose is the trace of this finger), and whispers “Forget”... The child forgets everything) But, apparently, not completely, because for a long time he is with Eternity “ You". This is probably why his perception of the world is especially piercing and subtle, and children’s words immediately penetrate his heart. By the way, there is a parable on the Internet about a conversation between unborn children and God: “Once a child asked God.” The parable echoes the first statement)

Open and sincere

God, the Divine world, the world order - knowledge about this will give your child a sense of security. Security is one of the basic human needs. A child should feel safe in his family, and this feeling should initially be created by parents. But when there are secrets in the family or adults do not answer the questions of younger family members, the child becomes anxious, he feels that something is being hidden from him, and he goes in search of answers without the support of adults. As a result, serious problems can arise.

When there are no confidential conversations between parents and children, “kind” uncles and aunts may appear who can invite your child to an “interesting conversation.” After just a few sessions of such heart-to-heart conversations, the child may develop a feeling that is close to addiction, a narcotic state. Pedophilia and other sexual crimes are common in such sects. At one time, similar cases occurred in many countries (Great Britain, France, Argentina, Australia reported on the “Family” (“Children of God”) sect, where children were forced to engage in “ritual prostitution”). In our difficult times associated with the spread of terrorism in the world, there is a threat of child recruitment into the ranks of terrorists. Recently, sects have appeared that make tempting offers to Russian schools to become successful, rich, more developed and get rid of children's complexes and fears. To prevent this from happening, you need to talk to children openly and sincerely. Such conversations help shape the child's personality. If adults try to laugh it off, change the conversation to another topic, or answer with evasive phrases, children receive a signal: something is wrong.

Dear guys, do you know what it means to pray? To pray means to talk with God Jesus Christ. You may ask: “Is it possible to talk to God in the same way as to a person?” Yes, guys, imagine that you can talk to the Lord God in prayer, because He is the Living God, Who sees us, hears and understands.

Listen to the story about the girl Sveta and her mother.

A mother and her daughter Svetochka lived in the same city. When Sveta turned six years old, she began to notice that something unusual was happening to her mother: every morning and every evening, her mother locked herself in her room and talked to someone. “Who is this mother talking to in the mornings and evenings? - the girl was perplexed, - After all, there is no one else in the house except the two of us. Maybe she’s talking to some friend on the phone?” For some time, Svetochka was perplexed, and then she decided to find out with whom her mother mysteriously talks every morning and evening. One evening, when Sveta heard that her mother was again talking to someone in her room, she crept up to the door, quietly opened it and saw her mother, who was kneeling with her head down and saying something. “Mommy, who are you talking to?” – looking around the room, the girl asked with surprise in her voice. Hearing her daughter’s voice, the mother turned her head and said: “Daughter, I am talking to the Lord God in prayer.” - Why are you kneeling? – the girl said in bewilderment. “You know, every time I want to pray to the Great God, I kneel before Him, thereby showing my deep respect and humility before Him,” my mother explained. – Why do you pray to God? – Sveta continued to ask.

– I believe in God and Savior Jesus Christ. He commanded in the Bible that every Christian talk to Him in prayer. “In addition, I pray to the Lord because I need Him, His help and support, as well as communication with Him,” my mother answered. Sveta thought a little about what her mother said and asked the following question: “Mom, what can you talk about with God?” Mom looked tenderly at her daughter and said: “You can talk to God about everything, my dear. In prayer you can share your joys or troubles with the Lord; thank Him for our parents, for the food and shelter that He gives us every day; ask Him for forgiveness for the wrongdoings committed; ask for help in business; pray for those who are sick and so on.” – Oh, and you can talk about all this with God!? – Sveta was surprised. - Of course, daughter! – When can you pray to the Lord? “The Lord tells us in His Word that we pray to Him at any time: in the morning, during the day and in the evening,” my mother continued to answer.

The girl fell silent. It was clear from her that she was seriously thinking about something. After a short pause, she turned to her mother again: “Mommy, tell me, can I, like you, pray to God?” “Of course, if you believe in God and the Savior Jesus Christ and love Him with all your heart, then you can pray to Him,” the mother said, looking lovingly at her daughter. “Mommy, I believe in Jesus Christ and love Him very much,” answered Sveta. “In that case, daughter, you can pray to the Lord Jesus Christ with me right now,” her mother suggested.

Sveta approached her mother and knelt down. This was her very first prayer to God. From that day on, mother and daughter began to pray together, every morning and every evening turning their prayers to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dear guys, Our Lord God wants you to turn to Him in prayer. I encourage you to obey the Lord and remember to pray to Him every day.

PRAYER

: Let us carry out the command of Our Lord right now and turn to Him in prayer.

Introduction to religions

Introduce your child to different cultures and religions. Show him monuments of religious architecture - churches, synagogues, mosques, Catholic churches. Explain why they are needed, pay attention to their similarities and differences.

It is imperative to warn the child that people cannot (could not) find the answer to the question of the origin of our planet, living beings, including people, and the idea of the existence of God is one of the versions with the help of which people try to explain the structure of the world and development life. To complete the picture, we can talk about other hypotheses of the origin of the world: the “big bang” theory and Darwinism.

You need to talk about God and religions in simple words. The task can be made easier by visiting museums and art galleries, for example, the Tretyakov Gallery, where paintings by famous artists with Gospel or Old Testament scenes are presented. Based on them, you can talk about God; in addition, the creations of great masters will help your child visualize the “characters” of your stories.

Convincing dates

One woman came with her little son to the elder.

“My boy was damaged,” she said. — He eats dates from morning to evening. Only sweet dates, and nothing else. What should I do?

The elder looked at the boy and said:

- Good woman, return home with your son. And tomorrow at the same time come to me again, I will try to help you.

The next day, the elder sat the boy on his lap, took the date from his hand and said:

“My son, remember that there are other tasty things in the world.”

After this, he blessed the child and released him to his mother.

The puzzled mother asked him:

- But why didn’t you say this yesterday? Why did we have to go on such a long journey again?

“A good woman,” answered the old man. “Yesterday I could not convincingly tell your son what I said today.” Because yesterday I myself only ate dates with pleasure.

Peculiarities of perception

When talking to a child about God, one must take into account the peculiarities of the child’s perception. At 3-5 years old

The little one will treat your story like a fairy tale and will listen with enthusiasm.
He will be able to understand the idea of God and the meaning of religion only from the age of 5.
But even a three-year-old child will most likely be able to explain the symbols of faith, their purpose, and will be captivated by stories about religious holidays.
At 5-7 years old,
a child is already concerned with more complex questions: “When will I die?
What is the soul? And when people die, where do they go?” And children at this age are able not only to believe in the existence of abstractions, but also to imagine them. At the age of 7-11,
a child will be able to understand the meaning and ethics of religious rituals and religious norms.
At the age of 12-15,
a teenager’s cognitive abilities develop to adult levels. The teenager begins to realize the spiritual content of any religion.

You should not be afraid that after talking about God and religion, the child will immediately ask to be baptized or to be taken to church services. In a family where conversations about God arise only from time to time, this is hardly possible.

Tired of saying "Good morning"

Photo greg westfall

In the house of some rich people they stopped praying before meals. One day a priest came to visit them. The table was set very elegantly, the best food was brought out and the best drink was served. The family sat down at the table. Everyone looked at the priest and thought that now he would pray before eating. But the priest said:

— The father of the family must pray at the table, because he is the first prayer book in the family.

There was an unpleasant silence, because no one in this family prayed. The father cleared his throat and said: “You know, dear father, we don’t pray, because in prayer before meals the same thing is always repeated. Prayers out of habit are empty chatter. These repetitions are every day, every year, so we don’t pray anymore.”

The priest looked at everyone in surprise, but then the seven-year-old girl said:

- Dad, don’t I really need to come to you every morning and say “good morning” anymore?
