Witches also go to church. 7 things that are best avoided in the temple so as not to lose health and not attract trouble

If you think that witches are afraid of the church like fire, then you are deeply mistaken. Sorcerers love to go there to carry out their dark deeds.

It’s sad that people who come to the temple to pray can inadvertently become victims of someone else’s witchcraft. In order not to fall into a trap, not to attract trouble and not to lose your health, under no circumstances do not do the seven things in the temple that will be discussed below.

Don't consider anything at someone else's request

If an old woman comes up to you in church and during a conversation asks you to count the domes on the church, citing her curiosity and poor eyesight, do not do this under any circumstances. Mother Theotokos said:

Whoever counts the domes will become ill, for the devil himself is waiting for this count.

For the same reason, try not to count change in your hands at someone’s request (very often, under the pretext of poor eyesight, old women ask young and beautiful women to count a certain number of coins, after which they begin to get sick).

Don't give water to a stranger

While in church, under no circumstances should you collect water for strangers, no matter how much you are asked to do so. Even if we are talking about a frail, very old grandmother, who refers to the fact that she does not have the strength to hold a bottle of water. There will be compassionate people, but you take care of your strength and health, which witches easily take away in this way.

Don't accept gifts

No one gives gifts in the church, so you should not take anything from the hands of strangers, no matter under what pretext they try to give it. A frequent witch practice is to treat someone to a charmed apple, after tasting which a person risks taking on all the negativity transferred to the product. It can also spell illness - take care of your health.

Very often, witches come to church with such “gifts” on major church holidays, so be especially vigilant on such days.

How a witch can harm

They say that the black witch is the woman who sold her soul to the devil. And for this he endowed her with charms, taught her to cast magic and gave her power. And they draw their strength from evil spirits. As a rule, their rituals are little understood by people and can be fraught with danger. They are also well versed in herbs and plants and know very well what to give a person to drink in order to cause him to stutter or insomnia. Or they may even leave you speechless.

They are well aware of lunar magic, and if they wish, they can enrich someone, of course, they will ask for a considerable payment. And perhaps they will even push a person to commit a crime.

But there is good news - evil witches are afraid of holy water, Thursday salt, icons and prayer, this can protect yourself from them. They do not like daylight, so they prefer to perform most of their rituals in the dark.

It happens that witches kidnap small children, and only the evil one knows for what purpose. Therefore, if there are rumors that an evil witch has appeared in the village, you need to take a better look at your offspring and not let them wander alone far from home.

Don't wear someone else's scarf

Near the entrance to the temple there are usually scarves that women who come in trousers are offered to tie around their waists. They are often used to cover their heads by women who come to the temple without their headscarf.

You can't do this. There are two reasons: firstly, this is contrary to all hygiene standards, and secondly, witches often leave damage, illnesses and all sorts of troubles on such scarves. Don't bait them.

While in church, try to communicate less with other parishioners and especially do not answer strange questions and requests. Agree, it’s a little strange if a person who just came to pray starts asking about the name of the temple, how many domes it has, and so on.

Having noticed any oddities in the behavior of the interlocutor, under a nice pretext, end this communication and move away from this person. There is nothing to be ashamed of - the consequences can be very difficult.

Sorcerers in the temple

Part I For more than twenty years, the Russian media have been filled with advertisements for psychics and sorcerers. Many have fallen for the bait and go to these “bioenergetics” for treatment and training. Evil eyes and damage, love spells and turnarounds, energy attacks and killings at a distance have become common practice. Masters of these dark deeds often even enter churches, confusing parishioners. What do His enemies need in the House of God and how to protect themselves from their witchcraft? We decided to talk about this with the editor of the Orthodox newspaper “Voice of Conscience,” priest Mikhail Rogozin. “Real sorcerers and psychics do not come to the temple so often,” said the priest. - At least I rarely encountered them. They are often mistaken for sick people or drunk people. What psychics and sorcerers want from us, we can only guess. But those who have encountered them suspect them of spiritual vampirism. The fact is that they provoke people into one or another conflict situation and feed on the energy of their experiences. This probably happens. But this is not the only way they manifest themselves. I remember my first parish, to which I was sent while still a seminarian. Literally in the first weeks of my appearance in the small village of Mrotkino, Novgorod region, some knots of ropes, some thorns, and forks were stuck on the gate of a church house. Apparently, one of the villagers wanted to scare the young priest so that he would not show too much initiative. — Did the sorcerers manage to put the evil eye on you, cause damage, or cause any harm? “I didn’t feel any harm from this, because I never felt superstitious fear of folk magic.” I collected all these items, crossed them and threw them in the trash. Of course, I read a prayer. As far as I know, the effectiveness of witchcraft largely depends on the internal state of a person, his reaction to what is happening. If he begins to be embarrassed, frightened or, conversely, shows curiosity, some kind of unhealthy interest in this false mysticism, then, in essence, he is drawn into a dark spiritual reality. And, being involved in it, you can get some harm. Any unbalanced attitude towards what is happening opens a person to harmful influences. — Is this what psychics and sorcerers expect? “As far as I know, they believe that by arranging provocations, they receive spiritual energy from people, which they use for magical purposes, including for so-called “healings.” How can you throw a person out of balance and provoke his spiritual transformation? Again, shock, surprise, frighten. We need to guard against such reactions to malicious people. — Psychics say that by healing people, they imitate Christ. Is it really? — The idea of treating people with some mystical, magical actions is itself fundamentally different from the Christian tradition of healing the sick. Because a person is trying to achieve a certain result with the help of magical actions, in contrast to holy Christian ascetics who have the gift of healing. This gift, first of all, consisted of bold prayer. Feeling sympathy and mercy for the sick person, the Christian ascetic prays for his healing. And the patient receives healing from God through prayer, and not through some magical actions. “But when people come to a psychic, they often see icons hanging all around, candles burning, and him reading some kind of “prayers.” And after the “healing” session, he sends them to the temple. And many naively believe that they are being treated by an Orthodox healer. Why is this disguise needed? “If a sorceress dresses like Baba Yaga and creates some kind of scary, vile atmosphere in her home, then all her clients will be horrified and run away. Therefore, in order to lure a person, she tries to create an environment that is conducive to trust. Once upon a time, while serving in a village church, I came across a woman who practiced conspiracies and went to church at the same time. She even confessed. And she believed that with her conspiracies she was bringing only benefit, and there was nothing wrong with it. She did not understand the priest's claims. Before this, I had already encountered the problem of conspiracies, trying to understand why some verses were recited, in which the names of saints, angels, the Virgin Mary and some kind of verbal nonsense associated with this or that disease were sometimes woven: how these verses could really influence per person? And I was faced with the fact that the conspiracy, despite the apparent harmlessness of the religious names named, as a rule, contains either blasphemy or some kind of obvious heresy. I assume that sorcerers attract unclean spirits precisely through blasphemy, mockery, and distortion of Christian teaching. I looked through the spells recorded by folklore collectors, then talked to this grandmother. After all, I extracted the texts of the conspiracies from her. And I became convinced: they contain something that can attract unclean spirits. Grandmother, thank God, later agreed with my arguments, repented and renounced witchcraft. — An acquaintance of mine saw a psychic woman openly communicate with spirits, working with the patient’s “subtle body.” Looking into space with widened eyes, she said in a low, authoritative voice: “Two people with scalpels come to me! We enter the patient, take his heart, cut it, look, remove the sore”... For some reason, the sorceress’s clients were not frightened by her communication with evil spirits. And my friend was horrified by such a “session”. “You shouldn’t be afraid of sorcerers if you want not to be affected by their spells.” I will show this with a specific example. One day my friend was invited to a meeting with a woman who healed with herbs. When he communicated with her, just in case, he silently read the Jesus Prayer and Psalm 67 (“May God rise again and let His enemies be scattered…”). They agreed to meet after a while, but then she began to avoid him. He met her by chance in the city, and she reluctantly told about what had happened. Like, “in order to cure this or that person, I enter his body and already perform certain actions inside him. But when I tried to enter your shell, I couldn’t do it.” After this attempt, she felt very bad; the possibility of meeting him again made her feel distressed. Well, what can we assume here? In the Gospel the Lord says: “You will know them by their fruits.” If a prayer to God has a negative effect on the person standing next to you, if he experiences some difficult sensations from it, then this is, in general, a sign of demonic possession - that the person is under the influence of unclean spirits. — Sorcerers are proud of their power over spirits. But what will it ultimately lead to? — Psychics and sorcerers have a very sad future. I can tell you about my communication (back in the Soviet years) with sick pilgrims of the Pskov-Pechersky Monastery. Hegumen Adrian gave lectures there, to which people who suffered from mental and spiritual illnesses came from all over the Soviet Union. St. Nicholas Gate Church was filled with demoniacs - hissing, barking, grunting. I, a “worker” of the monastery, managed to attend lectures several times and talk to the sick. They often said (mostly they were women) that they were engaged in witchcraft, trying to bewitch someone, to cast a spell on someone. And this slippery slope ultimately led them to madness. I talked with Abbot Adrian, and he said that among the people who turn to him for help, there are indeed a lot of former false mystics, psychics, and sorcerers. Communication with unclean spirits at first can be captivating, seem interesting, and effective. But ultimately, many of these people fell under the power of these spirits, in general, they became possessed. — Psychics and sorcerers become unhappy already in this world, but they can suffer even more in the next world. After all, the blasphemy against God, which you saw in conspiracies, threatens them with eternal torment in hell. And then several more generations will suffer for the blasphemy of their ancestor. What should our readers do to avoid these horrors? — This question can be considered in two ways. On the one hand, it is very important to warn your loved ones against such hobbies. On the other hand, the Lord says in the Gospel that not a single hair will fall from your head without the will of the Heavenly Father. Therefore, of course, we must have a firm belief that, as Christians, we are under the protection of the Lord, and not fall into lack of faith. As soon as we doubt, we become easy prey for all this evil spirits. It is very important that a person has a Christian spiritual attitude. The Lord says: “I love a person, but I hate sin.” And if someone is an instrument of demons, then he is still a person, but who is in a terrible state. Trying to destroy others, he simultaneously destroys himself, his soul. Therefore, without reacting to his provocations, we must maintain a prayerful attitude and not fall into anger. - Father Mikhail, I know of several cases when the people most dear to them died around psychics. Can we assume that by entering into communication with evil spirits, these craftsmen brought trouble to their close relatives? — To answer this question, you need to have extensive knowledge in this area and have statistics. I don't have this information. But I don’t know a single person who would get involved with false, demonic mysticism, and that it would bring him any benefit. Such a connection always leads to sad results, including madness. And, of course, this does not reflect well on his family. “I know people who feel sorry for the real Satanists and pray for their correction. But I am also familiar with the irreconcilable, who, like the ancient Jews, believe that “the sorceress must die,” and refer to a statement allegedly made by a Russian saint: “To kill a sorcerer is a merit before God.” What position should we take between these extreme points of view? - Of course, we should have nothing in common with people who deliberately entered into communication with evil spirits. If a sorcerer is satisfied with his condition, consciously lives in demonic spirituality, tries to do mischief in the temple, then, on the one hand, we must prevent his actions so that he does not interfere with the divine service, and on the other hand, not follow his lead. If we respond to his provocation, fall into hatred and rage towards him, then his goal, in fact, will be achieved. - Some say that such people come to the temple to steal grace... - This is impossible, because grace is given to the believer - the one praying, participating in the Sacraments. And one can “steal” precisely the spiritual strength of a person when he falls into one or another sinful passion through the provocation of such a spiritual vampire. The tempted person transforms the Divine energy that was given to him into these passions. And their surge is desirable for a vampire. —Can we assume that the demons that hold people also feed on the energy of their suffering? - The question is complex, nothing is written about this in the Holy Scriptures... Although I have come across similar assumptions: demons, since they are deprived of Divine grace, receive energy through the sinful transformation of human emotions caused by them. - And then, in hell, demons suck energy from the souls of the people they destroy, like spiders sucking the juices out of flies? - We don’t know this for sure. As they say, wait and see. The topic will be continued in the next issue.
