Seasons
Seasons, four periods of the year (spring, summer, autumn and winter) characterized by certain average temperatures. The period during which the Sun passes through one of these sectors is called the season. Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and autumn in the Southern Hemisphere begin when the Sun passes through the initial circle of declination and its right ascension is 0° (vernal equinox). Summer in the Northern Hemisphere and winter in the Southern Hemisphere occur when the sun's right ascension is 90° (summer solstice). Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and spring in the Southern Hemisphere begin when the sun's right ascension is 180° (autumnal equinox). The beginning of winter in the Northern Hemisphere and summer in the Southern Hemisphere is considered to be the winter solstice, when the direct ascension of the Sun is 270°... Next: Seasons. Folk calendar about every day
Every day one season always replaces another and this determines a person’s way of life. In connection with this, a folk calendar was formed in which there were practically no nameless, unmarked days. Every day was special, had its own purpose. All this was determined by climate conditions and astrological phenomena.
A calendar is a system for counting periods of time. The first calendars arose a long time ago, in ancient times, because there was a need to measure time. The word calendar comes from the Latin words caleo - to proclaim and calendarium - debt book. This is due to the fact that in Ancient Rome the beginning of each month was especially proclaimed, and because it was customary to pay debts on the first day of the month. Different peoples counted time differently. Some calendars are based on the changing phases of the moon - lunar calendars; in others - the change of seasons - sunny; in others, the length of the year was coordinated with the change of seasons, and the counting of months was associated with the phases of the Moon. Such calendars are called lunisolar.
In Rus', the calendar was called a monthly calendar. Every day, the month book covered the entire year of peasant life, “describing” day by day, month after month, where each day had its own holidays or weekdays, customs and superstitions, traditions and rituals, natural signs and phenomena. The cyclical nature of the calendar is reminiscent of human life, where spring is youth, summer is heyday, autumn is the time of harvesting fruits (it’s good if there are some, otherwise you can live your life without collecting fruits), winter is the time of wisdom and peace. This cyclicality and rhythm determined the way of life of the farmer. The folk calendar was an agricultural calendar, which was reflected in the names of the months, folk signs, rituals and customs. Even the determination of the timing and duration of the seasons is associated with real climatic conditions. Hence the discrepancy between the names of the months in different areas... Fishing calendar for every day
The fishing calendar should not be taken as an absolutely indisputable truth. Fish biting is greatly influenced by a whole range of natural factors, as well as the influence on the nature of man himself. You must not forget that the fish’s bite depends and is determined not only by the calendar dates and biological cycles of their life, reflected in the calendar, but also, no less, by the state of their habitat; the bite also depends on weather conditions: air and water temperatures, cloudiness, wind direction and strength, etc... Praise to the songs of David, not inscribed among the Jews, 90
1 He who lives in the help of the Most High will dwell in the shelter of the Heavenly God.
2 Says the Lord: Thou art my Advocate and my refuge, my God, and I trust in Him.
3 For He will deliver you from the snare of the trap, and from the speech of rebellion,
4 His cloak will cover you, and you will trust under His wing; His truth will surround you with weapons.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid from the fear of the night, from the arrow that flies in the days,
6 from the things that pass away in darkness, from the debris, and the demon of the midday.
7 Thousands will fall from your country, and darkness will be at your right hand, but it will not come near you,
8 Look before your eyes, and you will see the reward of sinners.
9 For You, O Lord, are my hope, You have made the Most High your refuge.
10 No evil will come to you, and no wound will come near your body,
11 As His angel commanded you, keep you in all your ways.
12 They will lift you up in their arms, lest you dash your foot against a stone,
13 Tread on the asp and the basilisk, and cross the lion and the serpent.
14 Because I have trusted, I will deliver, and I will cover, because I have known My name.
15 He will call to Me, and I will hear him: I am with him in tribulation, I will destroy him, and I will glorify him,
16 I will fill him with length of days, and show him My salvation.
Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Orthodox calendar about every day
Orthodox calendar: Orthodox, Church and Christian holidays.
The church year is an alternation of weekdays and holidays. On weekdays, a person is called to work “by the sweat of his brow to earn his bread.” Holidays are given in order to feel liberation, to rise above the bustle and routine of the world, to feel involved in the highest of worlds, “where there are no illnesses, sorrows and sighs, but endless life.” Since ancient times, holiday cycles have been associated with the seasons. The pagans associated them with the worship of the forces of nature, the cult of which in the Old Testament was replaced by gratitude to the Creator for the universe. And although the connection between holidays and the seasons has not completely lost its power, since God is present in everything, in the plant and animal world, in human works, it nevertheless faded into the background, giving way to a spiritual foundation built on the Sacred Scriptures. The history of Orthodox holidays dates back to the times of the Old Testament. Each of the Orthodox holidays is dedicated to the remembrance of the most important events in the life of Jesus Christ and the Mother of God, as well as the memory of saints... Interpretation
Several generations of researchers, among whom were the holy fathers, left an interpretation of the 12th Psalm. It’s easier to understand the text verse by verse:
- Verse 1: In a moment of difficulty, David expresses his contrition that the Lord seems to have forgotten him and does not pay attention to his prayers.
- Verse 2: The prophet was overcome with thoughts that he might remain like this, die in sin, and he thinks about this every day. David understands that his enemy rises when the king himself sins, and therefore does not want such a humiliating position.
- Verse 3-4: Therefore the prophet asks the Lord to enlighten his eyes. Here we are talking about spiritual eyes, that is, for God to cleanse David’s mind and heart, to teach him how to correct himself in order to avoid death from his enemies - sins and passions.
- Verse 5: David does not want to give victory to his enemies, so modern Christians must not give in to the weight of temptations and temptations, otherwise the enemies of godliness will triumph.
- Verse 6: But David hopes in the mercy of God that it is the Most High God who will guide him to salvation, and then the prophet will compose hymns of praise to the Lord.

Russian folk calendar for every day
The word “sign” comes from the word “notice”, i.e. observe. As a result of observing what happens around a person every day, he accumulates life experience. This knowledge was passed down from generation to generation, carefully preserved and people trusted it as a sacred book. Many signs have come to us from the depths of centuries without losing their knowledge. Each of us is free to choose: to dismiss all this as an absurd superstition or to take a closer look at the signs and take the centuries-old experience of generations more seriously. Most of us, when taking exams, ask them to scold them, boasting about some kind of good fortune or luck, spit so as not to jinx them or knock on wood, take a detour if a black cat crossed the road, are afraid of the number 13 and much more. And who among us does not have lucky things, numbers? Who has never resorted to the help of fate at least once in their life, who has not believed in secrets? It’s as if everything connected with signs is hidden somewhere deep in our subconscious. Often we remember them mechanically, unconsciously, or just as a joke. But, undoubtedly, the signs contain a lot of accurate knowledge and practical wisdom of our ancestors. They cover all the characteristic, often difficult to perceive, natural phenomena. Signs have preserved a lot of what was in old folk holidays and customs; they help predict the weather, grow crops... Next: Folk signs...
Kathisma the twelfth.
2 I will sing of Your mercies, O Lord, forever; I will proclaim Your truth with my mouth from generation to generation.
3 For you have said, “My mercy is shown forever.” Thy truth has been established in Heaven from eternity, O God.
4468 “I have made a covenant with my chosen ones; I have sworn to my servant David:
5 I will preserve your descendants forever and build up your throne from generation to generation!”
6469 The heavens will proclaim Your wonders, O Lord, and will proclaim Your truth in the church of the saints.
7 For who in the mansions of heaven can compare with the Lord? Who will be like the Lord among the sons of God?
8 God is glorified by the host of saints; He is great and terrible to those who stand before Him.
9 O Lord God of hosts, who is like You? You are mighty, O Lord, and Your truth overshadows everyone,
who is with you?
10 You rule over the depths of the sea; the waves rise and You calm them.
11470 You humbled the proud as a slain enemy; With Your mighty right hand I have scattered Your enemies.
12 The heavens are yours and the earth is yours; You created the universe and everything in it.
13471 You created the north and the sea; Tabor and Hermon will rejoice in Your name.
14 Great is Your power! Let Your hand show its might. And let the punisher
Thy right hand!
15 Truth and judgment are the foundation of Your Throne; mercy and truth walk before Your face.
16 Blessed are the people who cry to You, “Lord!” In the radiance of Your face he will go,
17 In Your name he will rejoice every day, and in Your righteousness he will be exalted.
18 For in You is our glory and our might, and through Your favor our strength will increase,
19 For the Lord is our Advocate, the Holy One of Israel is our King!
20472 Once, having appeared in a vision to Your sons, You said: “I have shown help to the strong, I have exalted the chosen one from My people;
21473 I found David my servant, and with my holy oil I anointed him to be king;
22 Therefore My hand will protect him, My right hand will strengthen him;
23 The enemy will not succeed in the fight against him, and the son of iniquity will no longer harm him!
24 I will destroy his enemies before him and crush his haters!
25 My truth and my mercy are with him, and his dignity will be exalted in my name;
26 And I will lay his left hand on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.
27 He will call to Me: “My Father, You are my God, the Protector who saves me!”
28 And I will make him my firstborn, above the kings of the earth!
29 I will preserve My kindness to him forever, and My covenant with him will be faithful;
30 And I will preserve his descendants forever, and his throne will be as eternal as the heavens!
31 If his sons forsake My law and do not live according to My righteousness,
32 If they break My commandments and do not keep My commandments,
33 I will punish their iniquity with a rod and their iniquity with whips,
34 But I will not take My mercy away from them, I will not change My truth,
35 And I will not break My covenant, I will not deny what I have spoken with My mouth!
36 I once swore to David by My holiness; shall I lie to him?
37 His descendants will be preserved forever, and his throne is like the sun before Me.
38 And like the moon, existing forever; and a faithful witness in Heaven forever.”
39 But Thou hast rejected and humiliated, and cast down Thy anointed;
40 I broke the covenant with Your servant, I allowed the desecration of his shrine on earth;
41474 He destroyed his walls, filled his strongholds with terror.
42 Those who pass by steal his property, and he has become a laughing stock among his neighbors.
43 Thou hast exalted over him the right hand of his persecutors; thou hast made his enemies glad;
44 He did not help his sword and did not protect him in battle;
45 He took away from him the temple, the place
cleansed him, and threw his throne to the ground;
46 He shortened the days of his life and covered him with shame.
47 How long, O Lord, will you turn away from us? How long will Your anger burn like fire?
48 Remember the weakness of my nature! Did You really create the sons of men in vain?
49 Which man will live his life and not see death? Who will deliver his soul from the power of hell?
50 Where, O Lord, are Your ancient mercies, which You swore by Your truth to bestow on David?
51 Remember, O Lord, how many nations reviled Your servants, how much I suffered from them in my heart!
52 How Thy enemies reviled us, O Lord, how they reviled Thy prostrate Anointed One!
53 Blessed be the Lord forever! So be it, so be it!

Psalter
David's Prayer, 85
1 Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear me, for I am poor and needy!
2 Preserve my soul, for I am pure before You; Save, my God, Thy servant who trusts in You!
3 Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I cry to You all day long!
4 Make glad the soul of Your servant, for I have ascended to You with my soul!
5 For You, O Lord, are gracious and gentle, and full of mercy to all who call on You.
6 Hear, O Lord, my prayer, listen to my prayer!
7 In the day of my trouble I called to You, and You heard me.
8 There is none like You among the gods, O Lord, and no one can compare with You in deeds.
9 All the nations that You have created will come and worship You, O Lord, and glorify Your name;
10 For You are great and do wonders, You are the only God!
11 Teach me, O Lord, in Thy way, and I will walk in Thy truth. May the fear of Your name be joyful to my heart!
12 I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forever;
13 For great is Your mercy toward me, and You have delivered my soul from hell.
14 O God, the wicked have risen up against me, and the congregation of the mighty have sought my death; they did not have You before them.
15 But You, O Lord my God, are Generous and Merciful, long-suffering, abounding in mercy, true,
16 Look at me and have mercy on me! Grant Thy strength to Thy servant and save the son of Thy servant!
17 Do a sign for my good; and let my haters see and be ashamed, for You, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.
Sons of Korah, psalm, song, 86
2 The foundations of a city on the holy mountains; The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the villages of Jacob.
3 Glorious things have been said about you, city of God!
4 I will remind people who know me of Egypt and Babylon. Foreigners, the inhabitants of Tyre, and the people of Ethiopia visited Zion.
5 Every man will call Zion his mother, for Man was born in her, and the Most High founded it.
6 The Lord will tell in the Scriptures about the nations and princes who visited His city;
7 For you, O Zion, are the abode of all who taste joy!
Song, psalm, of the sons of Korah, about the end, on maeleth, for the answer, for the teaching, of Heman the Israelite, 87
2 Lord God my Savior, day and night I cry to You!
3 Let my prayer ascend to You; incline Your ear to my prayer!
4 For troubles have come upon my soul, and my life has drawn near to the gates of hell.
5 I have become like those who go down into the tomb; became like a man deprived of help,
6 The dead are numbered as the dead who sleep in tombs; You do not remember them, for they were rejected by Your hand.
7 They laid me in the grave, in darkness and the shadow of death;
8 Your wrath has become heavy upon me, and You have brought waves of Your wrath upon me.
9 Thou hast removed from me those whom I knew; they considered me bad; they betrayed me, and there is no way out for me.
10 My eyes are faint with sorrows; I cried out to You, Lord, all day long, I lifted up my hands to You.
11 Do you perform miracles for the dead? Or will the doctors resurrect them, and will they glorify You?
12 Who will proclaim Your mercy in the grave and Your truth in the abode of death?
13 Shall they know Thy wonders in darkness, and Thy righteousness in a forgotten land?
14 But I cry to You, O Lord, and early in the morning my prayer will ascend to You.
15 Why, O Lord, do you reject my soul? Do you turn Your face away from me?
16 I have been in hardships and labors since my youth; exalted, humbled and faint.
17 You brought Your wrath upon me, Your threats shook me;
18 They surrounded me like water; they besieged me every day.
19 You have removed friend and neighbor from me, and have removed those whom I know from my sorrows.
Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages, amen.

Prayer of Moses, the man of God, 89
2 Lord, You are our refuge from generation to generation!
3 Before the mountains arose and the earth and the universe were created, from everlasting to everlasting you are!
4 Do not subject man to humiliation, for You said: “Return to the earth, sons of men!”
5 For a thousand years are in your sight, O Lord, like yesterday, which is already past, and like the time of the watch of the night.
6 The years of men are insignificant; Life will quickly fade, like grass: in the morning it will bloom and soon wilt; by evening its color will fade, it will turn yellow and wither.
7 For we have fainted from Your wrath, and from Your wrath we have become dismayed.
8 You look at our iniquities, you illuminate our lives with the radiance of Your face.
9 For our days are shortening, and we are faint from Your wrath.
10 The years of our life are scattered like cobwebs; the measure of our years is seventy years, but if we are able, it is eighty years, plus sorrow and illness; by this we gain humility and are edified.
11 Who will know the power of Your anger, and in the fear of You who will comprehend Your wrath?
12 Therefore show me Your saving right hand and people who have strengthened the heart with wisdom!
13 Turn your gaze to us, O Lord! How long will you be angry? Have mercy on Your servants!
14 Let us be filled with Thy mercy in the morning, O Lord, and rejoice and be glad;
15 We will rejoice all our days, for the days when You humbled us, for the years when we experienced evil.
16 Look on Your servants, on Your creations, and instruct their sons!
17 And may the light of the Lord our God shine upon us. Correct the works of our hands, correct the works of our hands!
Song of praise, not inscribed among the Jews, 90
1 He who lives by the help of the Most High will dwell under the shelter of the Heavenly God.
2 He will say to the Lord: “My protector, my refuge, my God! I trust in Him!”
3 For He will deliver you from the snare of fishers and from the word of rebellion;
4 He will protect you with His shoulders, you will be safe under His wings; His truth will cover you with a shield.
5 You will not be afraid of the fear of the night, nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Trouble that comes in the darkness, sickness and the demon of the noonday.
7 A thousand will fall near you, and many thousands around you, but nothing will touch you;
8 But you will see with your eyes and you will see the reward of sinners.
9 For you said: “Lord, you are my hope!” You have chosen the Almighty as your refuge.
10 No evil shall befall you, and no plague shall come near your tent;
11 For He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.
12 They will carry you up in their hands, lest your foot dash against a stone.
13 You will tread on the asp and the basilisk, and you will trample the lion and the serpent.
14 “He trusted in Me (the Lord), and I will deliver him; I will give him autumn, for he has known My name.
15 He will call to Me, and I will hear him; I will visit him in sorrow, deliver him from troubles and glorify him;
16 I will give him long life and show him My salvation!”
Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages, amen
Prayer book, Orthodox prayers for every day
Prayer is the most powerful means for healing all illnesses - both physical and mental. Prayers can be laudatory or grateful, petitionary and repentant. If we have offended God, sinned, we must ask Him for forgiveness, that is, repent. Such prayers are called repentant prayers. If everything is fine with us, if we and our loved ones are healthy and prosperous, if we have a place to live, something to wear, something to eat, we must glorify and thank God for this. Such prayers are called praise or thanksgiving. If some misfortune, illness, trouble or need happens, you need to ask God for help. Such prayers are called petitionary... Next: Orthodox prayers...
History of writing
Presumably, Psalm 12 was written after King David was delivered from some trials. In the previous writing of the 7th Psalm, a prophecy was indicated that Nathan would defeat Absalom, the son of David, who incited the courtiers to betray the king. The words “to the end” in the text of Psalm 12 indicate that, in the end, victory has been achieved.
Zodiac, astrological, eastern calendar. Zodiac signs
In ancient times, to establish the calendar, priests used knowledge of the positions of all the planets. Before the reform of Peter 1, the New Year was celebrated on the Day of the Autumn Equinox. On this day, according to ancient legend, the most peaceful treaty was concluded between the Great Race (ancient Slavs) and the Great Dragon (ancient Chinese) and it was approximately 7518 years ago... For the ancient Slavs, the calendar month corresponded to the lunar cycle from new moon to new moon, taking into account such Thus, the relationship of the entire annual cycle with astronomical and natural phenomena. There was no coherent calendar system. The main natural phenomena are still considered to this day to be the days of the solar equinox and solstice - the Slavic holidays Maslenitsa, Kupala, Ovsen and Kolyada. But during the time of Peter 1, all ancient Slavic calendars were abolished and a new Western European calendar from the Nativity of Christ (Julian calendar) was introduced, while the beginning of the calendar was moved to January 1. The Julian calendar (old style) did not take leap days into account and accumulated one extra day every 128 years. After the October Revolution in 1918, the Gregorian calendar (new style) was introduced in Russia, according to which an amendment of 13 days was introduced. The calendar of the ancient Slavs was based on two planets: the Sun and the Moon. And now they don’t use anything at all. The calendar has become static. There is no such thing as the calendar, it turns out, resting on some planet. Nobody even knows about it. There are just some standard numbers, there are months and holidays. The calendar is based on the Sun and Moon. Why is this so? Because these two luminaries influence the Earth. The Earth revolves around the Sun, and the Moon revolves around the Earth. And these two luminaries create the atmosphere on the planet. From here the calendar is built... Next: Astrological calendar...
