Psalter in the life of a Christian
150 psalms, including Psalm 90, are collected in one of the main books of the Old Testament - the Psalter, written by King David and the apostles. It took 800 years to create it. More than 80 psalms belong to the prophet David, and 151 psalms are dedicated to him.

“I’ve been reading Psalm 90 for a long time; before I didn’t notice how it affects me, my life, my loved ones and everyone with whom I come in contact. And, to be honest, these actions have already begun to be performed automatically. This is bad and there is no benefit, I know that. But this couldn’t go on forever; God wouldn’t allow it. One day everything changed when I had an accident. Moreover, then I just as quickly read the psalm, I didn’t even understand the meaning - just to say it, to put a tick.

Later I was driving a car and I can’t understand how another car drove into me on an almost empty wide road. My first thought was when I opened the gas: “But I didn’t really read the psalm, so here’s the payback.” In fact, I now understand that this is not a punishment, but a simple situation when a person behaves carelessly. Since then, I have always put my soul into the words of prayer that I pronounce.
But you can’t take back what was done, since I had complications after the accident. It took a long time to recover; there were many fractures, including compression of the spine. This is why we read Psalm 90 - to ask the Lord for protection if trouble suddenly happens.
I would also like to add that no rituals are needed. I always tried to read 40 times at least sometimes. It is enough to read the psalm 3 times in one approach. The effect will be strong in any case. One clergyman told me about this later. If I had not previously forced myself to reread the psalm many times, then perhaps this automatism would not have developed. I wish everyone good health."
How did prayer words appear?
They say that prayer appeared before the establishment of Christianity in Rus'. The psalm was a gift to humanity from King David. King David of Israel recorded it back in the 11th-10th centuries.
