Evening
On the Lord, I cried: stichera, tone 6. Similar to: Tridnev:
The valorous faster,/ the confessor of Christ,/ in the time of persecution, who accepted suffering,/ out of duty, faithfulness,/ the venerable father (name),/ his prayers calling for help.
You were filled with the fruits of the Holy Spirit,/ you were enriched with good hope,/ and, thinking about eternal things,/ you considered temporary suffering as nothing, (name). Likewise, with boldness / you confessed Christ before the tormentors.
Granted grace to you, Reverend Father (name) / not only to achieve monastic feats, / but also in the confession of Christ for the sake of suffering, / to Him now warmly pray / to grant peace to our Church / and great mercy to our souls.
Glory, voice 8:
Reverend Father, Glorious Confessor (name) / you have placed all your trust in God / and you have glorified You in the Kingdom of Heaven, / where you are with our relatives, / the new martyrs and confessors of Russia, / who pleased Him with faith, hope and love, / glorifying the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit / Trinity Consubstantial and Indivisible.
And now, Theotokos : King of Heaven: Entrance. Prokeimenon in the afternoon. Readings three reverend.
Wisdom of Solomon reading (chapters 5 × 6):
The righteous women live forever, and their reward is in the Lord, and their care is with the Most High./ For this sake they will receive the Kingdom of splendor, and the crown of kindness from the hand of the Lord,/ I will cover them with my right hand, and protect them with my arm./ I will take full armor of my zeal, and arm the creature will take revenge on the enemy./ He will put on the armor of righteousness, and put on a helmet, the judgment is unhypocritical./ He will receive an invincible shield of reverence./ He will sharpen vain anger into a weapon;/ And the world will fight with him against the foolish./ The right-handed arrows of lightning will go,/ and as from the benevolent bow of the clouds, they will fly towards the intention. / And from the stone-throwing rage, hail will fall, / the water of the sea will be indignant at them, and I will flood the rivers brazenly. / The Spirit of Power will resist them, and like a cowlick will scatter them, / and iniquity will devastate the whole earth , and villainy will transform the thrones of the mighty./ Hear, O kings, and understand, learn, judges of the ends of the earth./ Inspire, you who hold multitudes, and who are proud of the people,/ that power has been given to you from the Lord, and strength from the Most High.
Wisdom of Solomon reading (chapter 3):
The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and no torment will touch them./ There was no reason to die in the face of the foolish, and their exodus was imputed to their bitterness./ And even if the procession of contrition comes from us, they are in the world./ For even if they suffer torment before the face of men, their hope of immortality is fulfilled./ And even though they have been punished for a little while, they will be great benefactors,/ as God has tempted me, and found them worthy of Himself./ As gold in the furnace has tempted them, and as the fruitfulness of the sacrifice has been received by me./ And during their visitation they will shine and like sparks will flow along the stem./ They judge with their tongues, and possess people, and the Lord will reign in them forever./ Those who hope in Nan understand the truth, and the faithful will abide in love with Him./ As grace and mercy are in His saints, and visitation in His elect.
Wisdom of Solomon reading (chapter 4):
The righteous, if he experiences death, will be in rest./ For old age is not honorable for many years, it is counted lower in the number of years./ Gray hair is the wisdom of man, and the age of old age is an undefiled life./ Having been well-pleasing to God, he was loved, and the sinner who lived in the midst was put to death come./ He was delighted, lest malice change his mind, or flattery deceive his soul./ The zeal of evil is darkened by the good, and the soaring of lust changes the mind of a kindly mind./ Having died a little, fulfill the years of duty. For his soul was pleasing to the Lord, for this reason it was longing from the midst of wickedness./ People having seen and not understanding, thought less of such things./ For grace and mercy are in His saints, and visitation is in His elect.
On the poem there are stichera, tone 2:
When the truth diminished in our land / and many infidels rose up against the Church of Christ, / in their madness saying: / what is the Lord to us? / Then you, reverend father (name), / by your confession you shamed the godless / and their memory perished with a noise .
Verse : Let us confess to You the righteousness of our hearts, / always teach us the destinies of Your righteousness. When the Lord came to test His people,/ you were found blessed and vigilant,/ adorned with humility and virtues,/ the venerable confessor (name) was all-honorable./ Also enrich you with many gifts/ and show us a prayer book of warmth.
Verse : Sing to the Lord, O His reverence,/ and confess the memory of His shrine. When those who persecuted you unrighteously persecuted you,/ Reverend Confessor Father (name),/ then you remembered the word of the Lord:/ there is no slave of his master,/ if I were driven out, you would also be consumed./ Moreover, for the sake of truth, you were worthy of the blessedness of those who were exiled/ and prayed for the salvation of souls ours.
Glory, voice 6:
Come, all you faithful, / let us worthily praise the reverend father, / for this, having accomplished the feat of suffering and confession / and then having lived piously, / you have given up your soul to God in the world / and you have departed from those who are here to an eternal home, / where you pray for our souls .
And now, Theotokos: Creator and Deliverer: Troparion, tone 2:
Reverend Confessor Father (name), / in the days of the godless persecution of the Russian Church / reproach, imprisonment, exile and bitter work, / you endured for Christ’s sake, / and nothing separated you from the love of God. / Having lived piously in the world, / you testified Lord Jesus Christ, pray to Him for our souls to be saved.
SELECTED PSALM
Selected psalm [Greek. ἐκλοϒή], a selection of verses from the Psalter and partly from biblical songs, intended to be performed after the polyeleos (i.e. after the singing of Ps 134 and 135) and glorifying the holiday or memory of the saint.
The singing of Ps 134 and 135 as a solemn element of the festive matins is characteristic of the Jerusalem Rule. According to southern Italian. The editions of the Studio Charter, within the framework of which there is no connection of the polyeleos to holidays, know the tradition of singing on such days special 3-psalm sequences, which preceded the power antiphons and, therefore, took the place of the Jerusalem polyeleos and I. p. In addition, Some verses of these psalms could be accompanied by short hymnographic refrains, somewhat similar to later magnifications (Skaballanovich. Typikon. Issue 1. p. 406). In the Evergetid Typikon, 2nd half. XI century (the Polish edition of the Studite Charter, which experienced Palestinian influence) on holidays the singing of the polyeleos is prescribed. Since mid. XIII century Byzantine regulator. worship becomes the Jerusalem Rite (neo-Sabbaite edition of the Studite Rite). The compilation of the cycle of I. p. by Nikephoros Blemmydes (1197-1272) dates back to the same time. I. p. took the place of the 3rd Psalm of Polyeleos (which in ancient times could have been Ps 136 not only in the preparatory period before Lent, but also on other days of the year). The cycle of I. p. includes selections for all the Lord's and Mother of God holidays, the days of memory of John the Baptist, the apostles, martyrs, saints, saints and ethereal forces: each holiday is glorified in a separate I. p., and the saints - according to the order of their lives. “Alleluia” was added to I. p.’s verses. Afterwards they began to be combined with short hymnographic choruses. In Greek manuscripts in the XIII-XIV centuries. special choruses are assigned for singing after the verses of polyeleos and I. p.; John Kukuzel took part in the composition of the choruses, but they were not widely used. In modern Greek in divine services, the choruses have been preserved only in the general I. p. for the feasts of the Mother of God, called “Λόϒον ἀϒαθόν” ( - Ps 44.1), when using other I. p. “Alleluia” is chanted, at the end on “Glory” they sing the trinity (Ρήϒας Γ. Τυπικόν. Θεσσαλονίκη, 1994. Σ. 79-80).
In the worship of the Russian Church from the beginning. XV century as choruses to the I. p., magnifications began to be used, modeled on the refrains to the 17th kathisma; on some holidays, the I. p. with “Alleluia” could be sung (for example, on holidays in honor of righteous and reverend wives the same psalm , as John the Baptist -). These features are recorded in Russian chants. manuscripts of the 17th century (see, for example, RNB. Kir.-Bel. No. 715/972). During the correction of books under Patriarch Nikon in mid. XVII century the text of I. p. was significantly shortened compared to the Donikon version, some changes were made, for example. I. p. of the Nativity (June 24) and the Beheading of the Chapter (Aug. 29) of John the Baptist were swapped, etc. In the 1st post-reform edition of Irmology (M., 1657), an attempt was made to introduce Greek into Russia. the practice of singing “Alleluia” after the poems of I. p., but in subsequent editions, along with I. p., the texts of greatness were again placed.
In Romania since the 15th century. choruses composed by mon. Philotheus Svyatogorets (in the Slavic language, translated into Romanian at the beginning of the 18th century), their text partly coincides with the old Greek refrains on the polyeleos. I. p. are traditionally placed in the Psalter, which follows in Irmology.

"KING DAVID'S HARP"
3
Lord, how those who oppress me have multiplied! Many rebel against me, Many say to my soul: “There is no salvation for him in God.” But You, Lord, are my defense, You are my glory, You lift up my head. With my voice I cried out to the Lord, and He heard me from His holy mountain. I fell asleep, and slept, and arose, For the Lord protects me. I will not be afraid of the multitudes of people who surround me from everywhere. Arise, Lord! Save me, my God! You strike all my adversaries, You crush the teeth of sinners. From the Lord is salvation, And on Your people is Your blessing.
I fell asleep, and slept, and arose, For the Lord protects me.
37/38
God! Do not reprove me in Your wrath, And do not punish me in Your anger; For Your arrows have entered into me, And Your hand is heavy on me. There is no whole place in my flesh Because of Your wrath, There is no peace in my bones Because of my sins; For my iniquities have exceeded my head, They oppress me like a heavy burden; My wounds stink and fester because of my madness. I am bent and drooping immensely, All day long I walk, lamenting, For my loins are full of illness, And there is no whole place in my flesh. I am faint and greatly contrite, I cry out because of the groaning of my heart. God! All my desire is before You, And my sighing is not hidden from You. My heart trembles, my strength has left me, the light of my eyes has left me - and he is no longer with me. My friends, my comrades retreated from my misfortune, and my neighbors stood at a distance. But those who seek my soul lay snares, Those who wish me harm speak words of murder, They prepare forges all day long. But I, like a deaf man, do not hear, Like a dumb man, I do not open my mouth; Yes, I was like one who does not hear and has no rebuke in his mouth. For in You, O Lord, I trust; You will hear, Lord, my God! And I said, Let not my enemies rejoice over me, Let them not boast before me, When my foot stumbles! For I am ready for wounds, And my sorrow is always before me, I proclaim my iniquity and grieve over my sin. Meanwhile, my enemies live in great power, And those who hate me innocently have multiplied, Repaying me evil for good, Enmity against me because I seek good. Do not leave me, Lord, my God! Don't leave me! Hasten to help me, Lord of my salvation!
Do not leave me, Lord, my God! Don't leave me! Hasten to help me, Lord of my salvation!
62/63
O God, You are my God, I have sought You from the early dawn. My soul thirsted for You, my flesh yearned for You in a deserted, dry, and waterless land. Oh, to see You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory! For Your mercy is better than life, And my lips will praise You. I will bless You as long as my life lasts, I will lift up my hands in Your name: My soul will be satisfied like fat and oil, And my lips will praise You with a voice of joy, When I remember You on my bed, In the morning I will think about You: For You are a helper my, And under the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul clings to You, and Your right hand holds me. And those who catch my soul will descend into the underworld of the earth, will be betrayed to the power of the sword, will be taken as prey by jackals. The king will rejoice in the Lord, everyone who swears by Him will be glorified, for the lips of those who speak lies will be stopped.
In the morning I will think about You, For You are my helper, And under the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul clings to You, and Your right hand holds me.
87/88
Lord God of my salvation! Day and night I cry before You. May my prayer come before Your face, Incline Your ear to my prayer: For my soul is filled with troubles, And my life has come to the underworld. I am numbered among those who go down to the grave, I have become like a faint man, left among the dead, like those killed in the tomb, whom You will remember no more, And whom Your hand has cast away. You brought me down into the pit of the grave, into darkness and the shadow of death; Your wrath is heavy upon me, and You brought all Your waves upon me. You have removed my neighbors from me, You have made me an abomination to them, You have imprisoned me, I cannot go free. My eyes were tired from grief: I cried out to You, Lord, all day long, I stretched out my hands to You. Or do You work miracles on the dead? Or will the dead rise and praise You? Or will Your mercy be proclaimed in the tomb, And Your faithfulness in a place of corruption? Or will Thy wonders be known in darkness, And Thy righteousness in the land of oblivion? But I cry to You, Lord, and in the morning my prayer is before You. Why, Lord, do you reject my soul, do you turn away your face from me? I am poor, and in sorrows from my youth, I bear the burden of Your horrors and am exhausted. Your wrath has passed over me, Your fears have troubled me, Every day they surround me like water, They surround me all together. You have removed my friend and companion from me, and my neighbors are not visible as if in darkness.
Lord God of my salvation, Day and night I cry before You, May my prayer come before Your face, Incline Your ear to my prayer.
102/103
Bless the Lord, my soul, And all that is in me is His holy name. Bless the Lord, my soul, And do not forget all His gifts. He forgives all your iniquities, Heals all your ailments, Delivers your life from corruption, Crowns you with mercy and bounty, Satisfies your desire with good things; Your youth will be renewed like an eagle. The Lord shows mercy and protects the rights of all those oppressed. He revealed His ways to Moses, His deeds to the Children of Israel. The Lord is generous and merciful, long-suffering and abundantly merciful, He is not completely angry, And He does not quarrel forever; He did not deal with us according to our iniquities, nor did He reward us according to our sins. As the heavens are high above the earth, His mercy is strong toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, He has removed our iniquities from us. As a father has mercy on his sons, the Lord has mercy on those who fear Him. For He knows our composition, He remembers that we are dust. Man - his days are like grass, Like the flower of the field, they fade; It blows over him - and he is not, And his place is not known to him. The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting to those who fear Him, and His righteousness is upon the sons of sons, who keep His covenant, who remember His commandments to do them. The Lord has erected His throne in heaven, and His kingdom embraces all. Bless the Lord, all you His angels, Mighty in strength, who do His word, Listening to the voice of His word. Bless the Lord, all His armies, His Servants who do His will. Bless the Lord, all His works! In every place of His dominion, bless the Lord, my soul!
In every place of His dominion, bless the Lord, my soul!
142/143
Lord, hear my prayer, attend to my prayer in Your truth, Hear me in Your righteousness, And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For no one living will be justified before You. For the enemy oppresses my soul, tramples my life into the ground, casts me into darkness, like those who died in ancient days. And my spirit is sad within me, my heart is troubled within me. I remember the days of old, I meditate on all Your deeds, I reflect on the works of Your hand, I stretch out my hands to You: My soul is a waterless land and thirsts for You. Hear me soon, Lord! My spirit is faint. Do not turn Your face away from me, Lest I become like those who go down to the grave. Reveal to me Your mercy in the morning, For I trust in You: Show me the path that I should go, For I lift up my soul to You. Deliver me from my enemies, Lord! I am running to You. Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God. May Your good Spirit lead me to the land of righteousness. For the sake of Your name, Lord, quicken me; For the sake of Thy righteousness, lead my soul out of sorrow; And by Thy mercy Destroy my enemies, And destroy all who oppress my soul, For I am Thy servant.
Hear me, O Lord, in Thy righteousness, And do not enter into judgment with Thy servant. Hear me, O Lord, in Thy righteousness, And do not enter into judgment with Thy servant. May Your good Spirit lead me to the land of righteousness.

Prayer
Reverend Father (name), ever-memorable, good-victorious confessor of Christ, faithful son to the Russian Church! Having purified your soul through many deeds, you have acquired the love of Christ. During the days of persecution of the Russian Church, you were not afraid of the godless reproaches and you endured great suffering. Also, preserved by the Providence of God, as a self-witness of the martyrs, you showed the rule of faith and the image of piety to people. And now, standing before the Throne of God, do not forsake your relatives, with grateful love for those who honor your feat and for those who ask for your intercession. Pray to our All-Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, may He establish our Fatherland in Orthodoxy, and grant us true repentance, unfeigned love and brotherly love, so that with one mouth and one heart we glorify and glorify the All-Honorable and Magnificent Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and forever and ever. Amen.
