Note to Saint Matrona of Moscow: what to ask for and how to send

Often life does not work out the way we would like. Illness, mental suffering, and financial troubles can complicate the life of any person. Everyone solves them in their own way, relying on life experience, the support of friends and relatives, and the state, in the end. However, it happens that circumstances are so hopeless that it seems that there is no solution. And then many turn to faith, to God, to all the saints, as the last ray of hope.

Turning to Matrona of Moscow is perhaps the simplest, and as life shows, the most effective way to ask for help and protection. But how to do that? Turn to the relics? Should I pray in front of the icon? Visit the place of the saint's dormition? Undoubtedly, all these methods are correct. But there is one more, which, according to many believers, is especially effective. It consists of writing a message to the Great Old Lady.

Why do they write notes to Matrona of Moscow?

While still in this earthly world, Matronushka helped all those who suffered. Feeling the approaching end, she said: “Everyone, everyone, come to me and tell me, as if alive, about your sorrows. I will see you, and hear you, and help you.” As life shows, the Saint keeps her promise, protecting, preserving, guiding.

It happens that a person is haunted by troubles, and in complete disorientation he is not able to clearly formulate a prayer appeal to the eldress. Paper and pencil come to the rescue. It is known that a person, while writing a message, is more focused, concentrated, and is able to more accurately state the essence of the problem . Thoughts and aspirations set out on paper are no less emotional, but more specific.

By the way, a written appeal to Matrona of Moscow has the same power as a prayer coming from the heart, filled with truthfulness and humility.

  • Our holy blessed mother Matrona! I’m not asking for myself, but for my son. Pray before our Lord for the forgiveness of his sins, the foolish one. May he send reason to his lost servant and guide him on the right path, without drugs and other intoxicants. I myself am in repentance for not being able to raise my son in humility, modesty, and with pure thoughts. Thank you.
  • Our Mother Matronushka! Take troubles away from my family. Protect us from rash, hasty actions, because everything we do ends up in failure and problems turn into problems. Guide me on the true and faithful path. Thank you.
  • Mother Matrona! I ask for my dear father, because he is sick. May I give health and long life to my only parent left, and there is no one else.
  • Matronushka! There is no strength to bear the cross alone. Help me in my desire for a protector husband. I will be a humble, faithful and loving wife. I will raise my children in faith and reverence for the Creator Almighty. Amen!
  • Matronushka, our holy helper! There are no strengths, five of us huddle in a small room. We are not asking about mansions - about modest housing, but so that there is enough space for everyone. We know that if you help, you won’t leave. She always helped. Thank you.
  • Matronushka! Forgive the vicious and shameful sins of my unlucky husband, and return him to the family. It’s hard without him, because I love and grieve without him. And children without a father are no good either. Thank you.

You can ask Matrona of Moscow for anything that does not go beyond the bounds of Orthodox morality and common sense. Vicious and selfish desires will not find a response from the saint, or even incur divine punishment.

There are several ways to send a message to the Great Orthodox Eldress:

  • Take the written message to the saint’s resting place in person.
  • Write a request on a piece of paper, write on the back: “Dear sister, I ask you to place my message under the tomb of the Holy Blessed Matrona. Thank you". Next, the letter must be folded with the contents inside, placed in an envelope and sent by mail to the address: 109147, Moscow, Taganskaya St., 58 .

It happens that a person, having a need for the protection and help of the saint, is physically unable to reach the mailbox or post office. To do this, you can send a request to the temple’s email address [email protected] . The novices of the temple will definitely put the note in the right place.

There is no doubt that the significance of the request for Matrona will remain unchanged, as if it were written on paper.

In what form should one address the blessed old lady?

Many are timid to contact Blessed Matroushka of Moscow also because they do not know in what form this is done.

In this regard, it should be noted that a letter or note addressed to Matronushka is not an official document, but a request from the heart, akin to a prayer. Can prayer have any kind of regulation? Everyone has their own, suffered, suffered. Most often, it is customary to present a written request, albeit in free form, but concisely.

Therefore, you can come to Matrona with any request, even related to everyday life and current problems. But the sufferer must remember that without true faith, not a single prayer, even the most beautiful and powerful, will have power. What can you forgive Matrona about:

  1. About healing . When the case is especially difficult or completely hopeless, you can ask the blessed saint for healing and an end to suffering.
  2. About the house . Usually these are young families expecting a baby.
  3. About the return of something lost . They write letters to the saint about the loss of something personal or especially valuable, with a request to find it again.
  4. On the return of unfaithful spouses to the family . They pray for the return of the careless to the true path.
