The blind girl seemed to see those unfortunate people who came to her, and tried to help everyone. Meanwhile, new trials befell her: at the age of 17, Matrona lost the ability to walk, her legs gave out. She accepted the new test humbly: it means that it is so pleasing to the Lord.
From then until the end of her life - she died on May 2, 1952, she remained sedentary. However, this circumstance did not prevent her from doing good deeds and helping those who asked for help.
Matronushka was canonized on May 2, 1999 as a locally revered Moscow saint, and in 2004 her church-wide canonization took place. But long before Matronushka was recognized as a saint, people turned to her for help. The protection it provides from the evil eye and damage is considered especially strong.
During her life, Matronushka faced many trials: revolution, famine, from 1925 she moved to Moscow and until the last days of her life she lived with good people.
