Prayer to the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers

O holy passion-bearer to Tsar Nicholas the Martyr! The Lord has chosen you as His anointed one, to be merciful and right to judge your people and to be the guardian of the Orthodox Church. For this reason, with the fear of God, you performed royal service and cared for souls. The Lord, testing you like Job the Long-Suffering, allows you reproach, bitter sorrow, betrayal, betrayal, alienation of your neighbors and abandonment of the earthly kingdom in mental anguish. All this for the good of Russia, as her faithful son, having endured martyrdom, and as a true servant of Christ, you have reached the Kingdom of Heaven, where you enjoy the Highest glory at the Throne of all the Tsar, together with your holy wife Queen Alexandra and your royal children Alexy, Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia. Now, having great boldness in Christ the King, pray that the Lord will forgive the sin of the apostasy of our people and grant forgiveness of sins and instruct us in all virtues, so that we may acquire humility, meekness and love and be made worthy of the Heavenly Kingdom, where the new martyrs and all the saints are together. Russian confessors let us glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Life

The beginning of the 20th century is consonant with such a statement as the Yekaterinburg Golgotha. After all, the events of that time radically changed the course of history. The murder of the royal family is known not only in Russia, but also far beyond its borders. There is much disagreement about whether the emperor should have been canonized as a martyr. After all, many argue that his policy was far from the norms of Christian morality.

But there is also information that in the last years of his life he changed significantly, and all the negative stories are simply a provocation. What is known for sure is that Emperor Nicholas and his wife Alexandra, Tsarevich Alexei and the princesses Olga, Anastasia, Maria and Tatiana were a pious and completely unusual family. They were able to accept all the trials that befell them with dignity and courage. On the night of July 16-17, they were woken up and ordered to go down to the basement with the servants. There they were sentenced and shot.

The bodies were then doused with sulfuric acid to make the remains unidentifiable, and then burned. But in July 1991 they were found under an embankment and in 1998 they were reburied with the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg.

Prayer of St. To the Tsar-Redeemer Nicholas II Holy Tsar-Redeemer Nicholas, save Russia from cathedral death, and pray to God to save our souls. Amen. Words of the Sovereign Emperor Nicholas II: “If an atoning sacrifice is needed to save Russia, I will be that sacrifice. God's will be done." The Righteous Men of God about the Holy Tsar-Redeemer Nicholas II. Reverend Seraphim (Moshnin), Elder of Sarov (in 1824): “There will be a Tsar who will glorify me, after which there will be great unrest in Russia, a lot of blood will flow for rebelling against this Tsar and his Autocracy, the Angels will not keep up take souls, all the rebels will perish, and God will exalt the Tsar ... " Reverend Abel (Vasiliev) Seer of St. Petersburg (in 1800): “Nicholas the Second is the Holy Tsar, similar to Job the Long-Suffering. He will have the mind of Christ, long-suffering and dovelike purity. He will replace the royal crown with a crown of thorns... He will be a redeemer, he will redeem his people with himself - like a Bloodless Sacrifice. And he will be betrayed... as once the Son of God was crucified... And the Jew will scourge the Russian Land like a scorpion, plunder its shrines, close the churches of God, execute the best Russian people. This is God’s permission, God’s wrath for Russia’s renunciation of its God-anointed One! Or else there will be more! The Angel of the Lord pours out new bowls of tribulation so that people will come to their senses. There will be two wars, one worse than the other. The people are between fire and flame... But they will not be destroyed from the face of the earth, as the prayer of the martyred King prevails upon them!” Reverend Alexy (Shepelev), Elder of Goloseevsky (in 1916 ): “My God, my God! Many traitors surround the Tsar... Much Christian blood will be shed.” Reverend Elder Korniliy Krypetsky (in 1890): “We will not have a Tsar, they will replace him with a bad master. For this, the people will be punished for three generations.” Venerable Nektariy (Tikhonov), Elder of Optina (in 1917): “1918 will be even more difficult: the Tsar and his entire Family will be killed and tortured. Yes, this Sovereign will be a great martyr.” Holy Righteous John (Sergius) of Kronstadt (in 1903): “We have a Tsar of righteous and pious life, God sent him a heavy cross of suffering, as His chosen one and beloved child... Like the Equal-to-the-Apostles Tsar Constantine, He holds high and gloriously the banner of the faith of Christ and devoted with all his heart to the King of Kings, deeply revering His friends - His saints, He sets an example of sincere piety to all Orthodox Christians...” St. Anatoly (Potapov), Elder of Optina (in 1915): “There is no greater sin than resistance to the will of the Anointed One of God! The fate of the Tsar is the fate of Russia. The Tsar will rejoice, and Russia will rejoice. The Tsar will cry, Russia will cry, and... if there is no Tsar, there will be no Russia. Just as a man with a cut off head is no longer a man, but a stinking corpse, so Russia without a Tsar will be a stinking corpse.” St. Lavrentiy (Proskura), Elder of Chernigov (in 1948): “Russian people will repent of mortal sins: they allowed Jewish wickedness in Russia, they did not protect the Anointed King of God...” Venerable Kuksha (Velichko) Elder of Odessa (in 1950) : “If you find a gold or silver coin with the image of Emperor Nicholas II somewhere, then insert it into the frame or drill a hole at the top, put it on a chain and wear it like a holy medallion, along with the cross. And if someone tells you that Tsar Nicholas II or one of the members of his Family is alive, don’t believe it - they are all martyrs.” Soon after the February revolution of 1917, Metropolitan Macarius (now St. Macarius (Nevsky), lawlessly removed from the Moscow see by the “provisional government", had a wonderful sleepy vision: “I see a field. The Savior is walking along the path. I follow Him and keep repeating: - Lord , I am following You! And He, turning to me, still answers: “Follow Me!” Finally, we approached a huge arch decorated with flowers. On the threshold of the arch, the Savior turned to me and said again: “Follow Me!” And he entered the wonderful garden, and I remained on the threshold and woke up. Having fallen asleep soon, I see myself standing in the same arch, and behind it with the Savior stands the Sovereign Nikolai Alexandrovich. The Savior says to the Sovereign: “You see in My hands two cups: this one is bitter for your people.” , and the other is sweet for you. The Emperor falls to his knees and prays for a long time to the Lord to let him drink the bitter cup instead of his people. The Lord did not agree for a long time, but the Emperor persistently prayed. Then the Savior took out a large hot coal from the bitter cup and put it on the Emperor’s palm . The Emperor began to transfer the coal from palm to palm and at the same time his body began to become enlightened until he became all bright, like a bright spirit. With this I woke up again. Having fallen asleep for the second time, I see a huge field covered with flowers. The Emperor stands in the middle of the field, surrounded by many people, and with his own hands distributes manna to them. An invisible voice at this time says: “The Emperor took the guilt of the Russian people upon himself, and the Russian people are forgiven!” Out of love for his people, Emperor Nicholas II prayerfully asked the Lord to transfer to him the punishment deserved by his people. But the just Lord never allowed the King to drink the bitter cup instead of the people. The Savior of the world himself laid a different cross on the Emperor; The Lord called him to perform a similarity to His glorious Redemptive deed, for which he placed a hot coal on his palm.
