Qi energy: how to use it correctly?

Qi energy is the very breath of life, no matter how metaphorical and poetic it may sound, Qi is no less real than material things. You can't touch it, but you can feel it and learn how to control it. The correct flow of Qi in the human body is the key to health and longevity.

Life energy Qi

Qi is a fundamental concept of subtle energy in Chinese philosophy and medicine. The character 氣 (Qi, Chi, Ki) is many meanings in one:

  • fog;
  • steam;
  • gas;
  • air;
  • energy;
  • vitality.

Energy permeates everything - every centimeter of space, material object, human body. Without Qi there is no life, love, strength, achievements. Chinese sages divided the general Qi in the human body into 4 groups:

  1. The primary energy of Yuan Qi is concentrated in the kidneys and controls all other energy;
  2. Respiratory internal energy Qi (Tsong) - nourishes the blood, circulates throughout all systems and organs;
  3. Nutrient (Yin) – the body receives it through nutrition;
  4. Protective (Wei) – muscles, skin. Barrier from the negative effects of destructive energies.

How to feel Qi energy?

Every person can feel their energy; this is not something supernatural. There is a simple exercise, Qi energy - awakening, which allows you to feel the flow of cosmic and internal flows:

  1. Starting position: stand straight, the distance between your feet is approximately 45 cm.
  2. Bend your knees slightly, spring a little to relax them. The back is straight.
  3. Stretch your arms to the side, forming a cross, raise your fingers up, with your palms forming a right angle to your arms.
  4. Close your eyes and stand in this position for 5 to 10 minutes, noticing your sensations. Even a beginner feels how the energy moves from the fingertips, through the hands and into the body.

How to use Qi energy?

Qi is the energy of life, without which a person cannot do anything. If you start consciously working with the energy of Chi (Qi): accumulating, spending, the quality of life improves, a person moves to another evolutionary level. Chi energy can be used for various purposes: meditation, healing, learning, and interaction with cosmic energies. But in order for all this to become possible, you need to practice and develop energy - without daily exercise, the conscious use of Qi is impossible.

Time management

I want to ask you a question. Do you have enough time in the day? Would you like to add another 8 hours to them? Why are there those who manage everything, they have enough time for everything? Where do they get this extra time? Do you really need extra time to get everything done?

A person controls time only if he controls his own life! In general, it is simply impossible to manage time; it is possible to manage life, then there will be enough time for everything.

Time management is a Myth!!!

We are constantly busy with something, it seems to us that it is something extremely important, but in the end it often turns out that most of the day is lost just like that. For example, you talk on the phone for a long time without a purpose on issues that only need a few minutes to resolve. And how much time is spent on long thoughts about how I would like to change something in life, but it doesn’t work out. And also, how much time is spent listening to other people's complaints and the like. You simply forgot an important rule: “Vasya said - Vasya did!”

You also spend a lot of time on unreasonable worries about what is happening in your life, and even more time you think and try to prove something to yourself, or try to end some conversation in your thoughts, or relive a conversation that was unpleasant for you, or On the contrary, I liked it. These thoughts about conversations prevent you from switching to business. Perhaps you are doing everything at once, as a result of which your work slows down or stops altogether.

This is how your life goes. You completely forget that time is life! And it is in your hands!

First, let's remember that you say that you want to do everything. Or maybe you don’t need to keep up at all. We have already said that you only need to do and do well 20% of what is required of you, the rest will be completed on its own, or it will happen that you won’t even notice that it was being done. The Pareto principle of 20 to 80 is that you need to do 20% very well, the rest will come by itself.

It is impossible and unrealistic to have time for absolutely everything; the most important thing is to have time. What is the main thing? These are your goals. They must coincide with the task of your life, with your needs and desires, with pleasures without fail. Having learned to manage your own life, you manage time, but not every minute, but constantly.

If a person is careless, then he thinks that luck will someday come to him just like that, fall on his head, he needs to wait. And he spends his whole life waiting, finds reasons for life’s troubles and failures in fate, in karma, in people, but not in himself.

There is no such thing as easy money; there is a favorite activity that brings easy money. This happens because the work is done with pleasure. I often say that I am lazy, but the secret is that I work with pleasure, I call it creative laziness.

Where do our time go? Who's stealing it? Try to observe yourself for at least one day. What you say, do, how and with whom you communicate. What if you give up bad habits and stop feeding those who “steal” your time? This is also work, because you need to develop a habit to neutralize time wasters.

Of course, a lot depends on your environment. If you decide to change, but haven’t changed your environment and maintain old habits, then changing your life is almost impossible. It will be extremely difficult. Only 10% of people are able to go against their own environment.

Therefore, it is important to take an unbiased look at the communication environment. It is important to find those moments that steal your time. If you develop a habit over 21 or 30 days, then you will learn to spend less time on telephone conversations, spend less time on unnecessary and boring conversations, and spend less time showing emotions. In a calm state, you can develop this habit.

Those around you now also have the right to choose whether to go with you or stay behind. If you change your social circle, your life will automatically change. There is also a downside to success. The faster you change your social circle, the faster your life will change. So, to change your life, you will need to change internally. Each change will become a starting point for something new, until you realize how valuable time is for you, which you can spend for your own life and pleasure. It's time to learn how to manage time wisely.

How to plan correctly

You've probably heard about the concept of time management. This is the ability to manage your own time and life. To understand this, track every day you live, what you did, what you spent your time on.

You are familiar with the expression “time is money.” This can also be attributed to success, you just need to replace the word money with success in the expression.

Imagine yourself in the place of a composer sitting at the piano, writing the main symphony of his life or performing in public. And then some person comes and offers a sandwich, or asks to listen to him, or offers to go somewhere with him, and the like. How will you react? Send him away. Why don't you send those who steal your success!

Each of us is endowed with wealth in the form of 24 hours a day. Learn to distribute these hours so that you get the most out of every minute. Imagine that every day you are given 86,400 rubles, which is the number of seconds in a day. You only need to spend them today, the next day they expire.

Even if you are doing something that you don’t particularly like, but needs to be done at the moment. You don’t have to give up on this, just make the necessary interesting. Then you will also be able to enjoy the obligatory and boring tasks, and it will take less time, since you will not think that you do not want to do it, you will not waste yourself emotionally.

When the decision to learn how to manage your life and time is made, you should immediately ask yourself: “What do I want from life?” It may not be possible to immediately answer such a global question. Remember the wheel of life balance, in which you have already determined the paths of life development. Or not? It is in this wheel that your global life tasks are contained.

Awareness of this fact will set the direction of movement. This is how you make a start. Knowing the global goals, you will have a clear picture

But you will also need to move, move and not stop, give up something big that you saw in everyday affairs, enjoying them.

The important thing is not what and how you will do, where you will be in a day, two, a month, what is important is what you will be like.

Short-term desires will bring you closer to your long-term goal. All useless things and unnecessary communication will disappear by themselves. You yourself may not immediately notice how your wishes will begin to come true, important and unimportant things will also come true on their own.

Important point. Distribute your own time in such a way that it benefits you, and not your relatives, friends, or acquaintances. For example, I am most productive between 7 and 2 pm. I don't like to work later. Evening webinars are fun for me. That's why I'm less productive in the evening. I try not to work at all in the evening, especially at night.

By the way, force majeure should also be included in 20% of effective work. We live and work in society, an unforeseen situation can happen at any moment. If you schedule time clearly minute by minute, such situations will turn into stress. It’s better to know in advance that this 20% can be wasted on planned things. In this case, if force majeure is not included in 20%, you can spend time on yourself for your loved one. Imagine an unexpected treat!

It’s even better to plan your day in such a way that 60% is spent on current work, 20% on strategic work for the future, 20% on force majeure. Even if you are an employee and your working hours are strictly regulated, you can find 20% of your time to solve strategic problems by simply eliminating unnecessary conversations with colleagues.

Managing time is not so difficult if you approach life constructively, but do not forget about the need for rest and pleasure.

At the same time, you plan the time of the next day and five years. Don't live from call to call. Instead, think about what you can do today for your tomorrow.

Let today become a springboard for tomorrow's victories. If you plan without being tied to certain dates, criteria, results, your plans may go to waste. This is important to understand.

Your plans should be divided into years, months, weeks, days. You must understand what you will do tomorrow or in a week so that your five-year goals come closer.

Don’t forget to leave time for your own pleasure and relaxation from work and activities. If you are a mercenary, when going to work, put pleasure in it, otherwise, why go to such work. Then you won’t think every morning: “I don’t want to go to work. Friday would come sooner." Your thoughts will turn into: “Hurray! Back to work." And you will rush to work with a smile and enjoy it. You will forget what burnout is at work, which means that you have found your favorite thing.

You will begin to perform current tasks automatically, and solve related problems in the same way. Tasks that previously seemed important and came to the fore will be crossed out from your lords.

Just take a piece of paper and make a list of what you want to do to realize your dreams. In another list, add the things you plan to do in a year. You should learn 50-100 points. Highlight in red the things that are most important to you. These are the moments that will lead to your main life goal. There will be from 5 to 10. Let them become the most important things to do for the current year.

The timer control will help you realize your plans. You will be surprised how quickly you will notice that you are getting everything done. At first, it’s better to keep notebooks, diaries, make reminders on your phone, etc.

This will allow you to be disciplined and free your head. Do not rely on memory, give preference to information media. This way you will relieve yourself and leave room for creative expression.

They will help in finding additional resources to implement tasks in a short time. If you still remember dates, events, people, etc., then you will not have time for creative implementation, including for yourself.

Use convenient tools, there are a lot of them today. A person is automated, 80% of the time he can be on autopilot of his habits. Make planning a habit too.

The main thing is to create those habits that will subsequently become the rulers of your life. What your life will be like depends on what these habits are.

Modern people are happy. We have numerous information tools that free our brains from information that is important to us.

Set your priorities. There is something important that will lead to the goal, there is something urgent that is not so important and does not lead to the goal, but these are related matters. There are important, but not so urgent matters. The key to success lies here.

Successful people devote 50% of their time to important, but not urgent, matters. These matters include all areas of the wheel of life balance. But all areas should be fulfilled little by little and equally, so it turns out to be 50% of the daytime. If we choose one direction, we may lose ourselves in another. In this case, when the goal is about to be achieved, the wheel may break at this point, the long-awaited pleasure will be postponed.

Delegate. When you manage your own time this way, you can safely expect rewards; you will learn to buy other people’s time. You will rise up, and there will no longer be a need to do everything yourself. You have reached the point where you can delegate things to other people. Many people of all ages are just beginning to be responsible. Age is not a criterion at all if a person previously hid behind others and did not take responsibility.

Give such people a start. You will become the basis for their future, a chance, but at the same time you will save your own time.

Entrepreneurs base their activities on delegating unimportant tasks to others; they also perform important tasks with the help of others or entrust them to people like themselves. This is the secret of those who have big money and opportunities. They know how to buy others' time.

When you come to this, you will receive a percentage of the work of those from whom you bought time, delegating your work to them.

Big goals - big plans. If you need to make a birdhouse, then there will be plans for one day. If you dream of building a house, your plans will last for a month. If your goal is huge, then your plans may take several years. When drawing up general plans, intermediate plans gradually arise. This is routine and daily work that is delegated to others.

Follow the established procedure. When you learn to manage time and life, it will work for you. Choose a time period for yourself and make plans for it: 14, 21, 30, 40, 49 days.

It is important to identify subgoals, which include the habits and skills developed to achieve the goal. What is happening now are habits, skills, actions developed earlier. To achieve a new goal, you need new habits, skills that will provoke action. Changes are important!

When setting a goal, you need to be clear about what new skills and habits you need to develop to get results. But it happens when you have no power over time.

Do not wait. For example, you are in line or stuck in a traffic jam. Even such moments need to be appreciated. During this time, you can also solve problems, study and use practices. To manage time, it is important to understand what you need from life in general. When you are inactive, you can visualize, meditate, recite mantras, and do exercises.

Remember, real life consists of seven parts, and everything else is built from them. This is happiness, love, wealth, health, longevity, youth, magic. All this can be achieved from the components of each part: protection, food, entertainment, recreation, reproduction.

Often a person sacrifices something else for the sake of something. Distribute your time so that you have enough for work, entertainment, and rest. Don't occupy your scheduled time with anything else. Don't let people into your personal space when you have other things to do.

Watch as seconds become money and you become free. Play with time and it will obey you.

And most importantly – Vasya said – Vasya did it!

Then you will have exactly the result that most people dream of.

Qi energy - how to develop it?

The development of Qi energy affects a person in several directions: mind-body-soul - their harmonization occurs. Therefore, in order to maximize vital energy, a balance in nutrition, physical activity and spiritual practices is important. A person who has embarked on the path of self-knowledge and practices working with energies will be able to fully realize the potential given by nature and the divine.

Chi energy - exercises for energy accumulation

All famous Qigong and Tai Chi practitioners are long-lived, with a clear mind, what could be the best proof that Qi energy is not a myth? The fast pace of life in large cities leaves little time for oneself; how to restore Qi energy during a busy schedule of daily activities? Practice 15-20 minutes a day, and the result will be a surge of energy and good health. Qi energy – exercises:

  1. Breathwork
    . Take a comfortable body position. Breathing cycle inhale-exhale - all attention to breathing. It is important to note the thoughts that come to mind, but not to analyze them, let them go and concentrate again on inhalation and exhalation. An important point: breathe not just with the chest, but also with the diaphragm (the stomach is involved). Breathe for several minutes (3 – 10).
  2. Practice for hands
    . Helps develop Qi. Performing the exercise: the right hand is at face level, the palm looks down parallel to the ground, the left is at the level of the solar plexus, the palm looks up. Imagining that you have a large ball in your hands, slowly move your palms in a circle, as if rotating the ball. Concentrate on breathing.

Meditation - receiving Qi energy

In ancient times, attentive people noticed that trees exist longer than people, the assumption was that trees receive energy from Heaven and Earth. This is how an exercise appeared - meditation, in which the “Big Tree” Chi energy is trained:

  1. Open channels. To do this, fold the index and middle fingers of the right hand in the shape of a scraper and run the bent phalanges along the sides of the fingers of the left hand, mentally clearing away dirt and opening the channels. Repeat, changing hands.
  2. Get into position: feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. The tongue touches the upper palate, the eyes are closed.
  3. Imagine that your legs grow deeply into the ground and turn into the roots of a mighty tree, absorbing energy from the earth, and your body stretches to the sky, the Moon, the Sun, absorbing the energy of the cosmos itself. Raise your hands to the level of your navel, while moving your elbows away from your body, imagining that there are fragile tennis balls in your armpits. The hands are rounded, and there is a large ball of energy between the palms and the navel.
  4. Concentration on energy: The Qi of the Earth passes through the feet-roots, and from above there is a powerful flow of Qi of the Cosmos, while the energy ball rotates between the palms and the navel.

Five primary elements - the embodiment of Qi energy in the human body

Five primary elements - how are they embodied in our body? This question is inextricably linked with Qi energy.

We have already said that the existence of life force in the East is an indisputable fact. It may be called differently, but all Eastern philosophies recognize it. The five primary elements are recognized in the same way, although their meaning and name differ.

For example, in China it is water, wood, fire, earth, metal . And in India - water, air, fire, earth, ether . Today we will turn to Indian philosophy.

Distribution of the five primary elements in the human body

So, how are the primary elements distributed in the human body?

ETHER

– this is space. In our body there is space for the mouth, nose, gastrointestinal tract, chest, abdominal cavity, lymphatic and blood vessels, tissues, cells.

AIR

– this is the element of movement. Movement of muscles, smooth muscles, heartbeat, expansion and contraction of the lungs, movements of the stomach and intestines. If you look at our living cell under a microscope, you can see that it is in constant motion. All reactions to irritation of our nervous system are the movement of bodily air.

FIRE

– the source of fire in our system is the Sun. The source of fire in the human body is metabolism. Fire operates in the digestive system. In the gray cells of the brain it manifests itself as intelligence. Activates our retina, which perceives light. Thus, digestion, body temperature, thought process, vision are all the element of fire. All metabolic processes are controlled by this element.

WATER

- embodied in the secretion of digestive juices, salivary glands, and in the cytoplasm of the cell. Water is vital for all processes in our body to function. This seemingly very simple substance, which has not been fully studied, has a huge informative function. Now there is an opinion that water is the matrix of life. This element is very energy-intensive. And it wonderfully demonstrates to us the state of matter-field.

EARTH

- all solid formations of our body - bones, cartilage, nails, tendons, skin and hair, come from the element Earth. Just as our planet in this dimension holds the living and inanimate world on its surface, so the element of the Earth in the human body gives it the appropriate form.

Manifestation of the five primary elements in human feelings

These same five elements are also manifested in the work of a person’s five senses, or a person’s ability to perceive and cognize the external environment.

ETHER

- the medium through which sound is transmitted. Therefore, the element of ether is associated with human hearing. The ear is an organ of hearing that expresses action through the organ of speech, which creates meaningful human sound.

AIR

– associated with action and touch. The skin of the hand is especially sensitive and the hand is responsible for actions related to grasping, passing, etc.

FIRE

– light, heat and color – associated with vision. The eyes provide information about the environment and the ability to move in the right direction. That is, they “control” walking. Therefore they are connected with the legs. A blind person can walk, but his walking is devoid of a given direction.

WATER

– associated with the organ of taste. Without water, the tongue is unable to sense taste. The tongue in the mouth is called the “upper” tongue, and the “lower” tongue is called the penis and clitoris. A person who controls the action of the upper tongue, thereby controls the lower one. Isn't it a fertile topic for discussion? Kiss and sexual arousal, the ability to express your feelings and procreation and much more...

EARTH -

associated with the sense of smell. The nose, the organ of smell perception, is associated with the work of the human excretory organ. When the intestines work poorly, the sense of smell is dulled.

Naturally, I took all this information from the basics of the life science of Ayurveda. All five elements constitute the essence of the human physical body and the basis of its sense organs. And now let's go back to the beginning - Matter and energy are one thing and originate from Cosmic Consciousness, which means they have Intelligence.

So how does energy enter our body? How is it converted into matter? And how does it affect our health?

We'll talk about this in the next post. All the best!

How to control Qi energy?

Managing Qi energy becomes possible by following basic rules:

  • accumulation and regulation through practical exercises;
  • reducing importance and expectations - if a person is fixated on quickly obtaining results, then one can only dream of the harmonious development of qi;
  • grounding – if irritation occurs after practice, limb tremors should be grounded (massage, salt bath).

The vital energy qi in the human body is divided into several varieties, different in their functions, location in the body, properties and purpose. Thus, we can distinguish yuan qi (元气 or 原气, otherwise called zhen qi (真气), or original qi), which is the most important for the human body; it is the basis of all human energy, the original cause and driving force for the life and activity of the human body. Yuan Qi is also often called the energy of Qi channels and vessels (collaterals).

The most important factor in the formation of yuan-qi is the substance of jing-qi stored in the kidneys (先天精气 - the substance of jing-qi of the primordial Heaven); Yuan-qi also relies on replenishable reserves of the substance of the so-called qi of the subsequent Heaven (后天水谷精气), which a person absorbs from food, water and air.

The famous ancient Chinese medical treatise “Jing Yue Quan Shu” (“景岳全书”, authored by Zhang Jia Bing 张介宾 (1563一1640), Ming Dynasty) says: “In ancient times, people lived to old age, and even if they were born weak, still skillfully cultivated the qi of the subsequent Heaven, training and replenishing the pre-heaven qi so that even half of their strength and the health of the spleen and stomach would now be considered considerable!”

“The root of yuan qi is located in the kidneys, it passes through the three heaters and spreads throughout the body, reaching the 5 dense and 6 hollow organs of zangfu inside, reaching the muscles, skin and connective tissues outside, playing a vital role for any part human body."

Its (yuan-qi) most important function is to ensure the growth and development of the human body, heating (energy supply) and stimulation (stimulation) of all zangfu organs, as well as the physiological activity of the jingluo channels and collaterals (meridians).

Therefore, Yuan Qi is the driving force of all life activity of the human body, its supporting substance and material. When Yuan Qi is abundant, then all organs function properly, the channels and meridians of Jing Lo are harmonious, the vital force flourishes, and the body is strong and healthy.

If a person’s pre-heaven qi is insufficient, or the qi of the subsequent Heaven accumulates and is poorly absorbed, there is not enough vital energy - then illnesses arise, work seems unbearable, “houses and walls are not strengthened,” yuan qi is wasted beyond measure. This leads to increased weakness of Yuan Qi, its deficiency in organs, deterioration of the functions of channels and meridians, disorders and chronic diseases.

The next type of qi energy is zong qi, which is obtained by the body from food through the spleen and stomach. As a result of the digestion of nutrients, the “food” substance jing-qi 水谷之精气 is formed, which is important for growth and replenishment of strength. Zong Qi also receives support from the work of the lungs, which absorb inhaled fresh air. This energy of inhaled air is concentrated in the middle of the chest, filling the channels of the heart and lungs. Thus, the strength or weakness of zong qi depends on proper breathing and digestion. The treatise 《灵枢•五味》says that zong qi “from above” is supported by the lungs and the process of inhalation and exhalation; “from below” accumulates in the tan-tian area (cinnabar field), replenishing the channels with light masculine energy and descending down to the feet.

The function of zong qi has two aspects: the first is the stimulation of the respiratory tract for the passage of air. Zong Qi also provides various types of speech activity, the ability to make sounds, breathing power - all these processes depend on the state of Zong Qi. The second aspect is the patency of the heart channel (heartbeat) and the movement of qi along with the blood.

The normal flow of blood and qi, heating and cooling and movements of the body and limbs, the ability of hearing and vision, the strength or weakness of the heartbeat - all this depends on the fullness or lack of zong qi. The treatise 《素问•平人气象论》 (part of the famous “Canon of the Yellow Emperor,” the most important medical treatise of antiquity) says: “The large channel of the stomach, called the “empty viscera,” is connected together with the diaphragm and lungs; comes out from the bottom of the left half of the chest and “dresses” (encircles) the lungs. Its pulsation is noticeable even through clothing and corresponds to the beating of the heart. This can be called the pulsation of the zong qi channel.”

If a person suffers from shortness of breath, breathing is erratic and hasty, does not subside, is noticeable even under clothes, then the zong qi is depleted - this is very serious and can lead to death. In this situation, urgent diagnosis and serious treatment are needed.

The nourishing energy ying qi (or qi energy directly related to nutrition) is the energy generated as a result of digestion in the stomach and spleen from the reaction of enzymes and nutrients contained in food, especially grains. Ying Qi moves through the channels of the body, participating in the formation of the nutritional composition of the blood. The treatise “素问•痹论” says: “Ying-qi is the essence of cereal juices. It interacts harmoniously with the five dense organs of wu-tsang, spreads over the six hollow organs of liu-fu, and enters the channels of mai. When it moves through the channels from top to bottom, it penetrates into the five dense organs of wu-tsang; when it moves (horizontally) along the meridians of Luo, it enters the six hollow organs of Liu Fu.”

The physiological function of ying qi consists of two important parts: the absorption (processing) of nutrients from food and their replenishment of the blood. Therefore, the treatise “灵枢•邪客篇” says: the vital force of rong-qi (synonymous with ying-qi) consists in the release (secretion) of body fluids, it fills the mai channels, helps the formation of blood, makes the body and limbs blooming and strong, and internally it is produced and controlled by the wu-tsang and liu-fu organs.

The protective energy of Wei Qi is the energy generated as a result of digestion in the stomach and spleen from the reaction of enzymes and nutrients contained in food, especially grains. Wei Qi moves through the channels of the body, provides body movements and physical strength, as well as the speed of movements, reaches the skin and connective tissue, protects the body and muscles from the outside from external adverse and aggressive influences. Wei Qi also heats the zang fu organs, muscles and flesh, skin, hair, etc. This energy also regulates the protective function of the skin, the opening and closing of pores, sweating, and maintains a constant body temperature.

The treatise “灵枢•本藏篇” says: the energy of wei qi warms the body parts and muscles, concentrates in the skin and controls its functions - opening and closing pores... when wei qi operates, all parts of the body and limbs are supervised and protected , the skin is soft and moisturized (not dry and cracked), intact and its pores work well.

Ying Qi and Wei Qi equally come from the energy of digestive processes, Ying Qi accumulates in the Mai channels, controls internal processes and is fundamentally related to Yin energy; Wei Qi resides outside the Mai channels, participates in external processes and belongs to Yang energy. When the action of ying qi and wei qi is coordinated and harmonious, the skin of the body regularly performs its functions of a protective shell, thermoregulation and sweating, as they say, a person is “full of strength during the day, sleeps peacefully at night” (treatise “灵枢•营卫生会篇” ).

The inharmonious flow of ying qi and wei qi energies can cause nausea and high fever, difficult or excessive sweating, weakening of the body's defenses (“you have no strength during the day, and you can’t sleep at night”) and other diseases.

In addition to the types of qi described above, 4 more types of energy are considered important, related to specific internal organs (qi of the heart, lungs, stomach, kidneys, etc.) and moving through the corresponding jing-lo channels. The qi energy of the internal organs of tsang-fu, located in the channels of jing-lo, is generated and comes from the original energy of yuan-qi; the energy of yuan-qi is distributed among the organs and channels and acquires the corresponding characteristics.

By practicing qigong (training to work with qi energy), you can absorb the natural power of zheng qi energy, which is most important for replenishing the energy of the human body; Therefore, the practice of qigong is the best remedy and the strongest medicine for maintaining all types of qi.

By practicing qigong, a sick person with weak resistance is able to strengthen his strength, gradually get rid of frequent colds, eliminate coldness in the extremities in cold weather and other negative symptoms.

People with weakened ying qi and anemia, by practicing qigong, can increase the level of hemoglobin, platelets and red blood cells, or improve the prognosis of an anemic state. People with a deficiency of zong qi, who have regular heart problems, arrhythmia, or have problems with speech, difficulty breathing - they can practice qigong and correct diseases, improving the appearance of the cardiogram, achieving normalization of the pulse, and restoration of speech function.

The practice of qigong is especially important for people who initially suffer from a lack of yuan qi (poor heredity, poor health since childhood). Training will help them increase their own energy potential, supply energy to internal organs, activate the activity of all ching lo channels, increase strength and make life more fulfilling. full-blooded and creative.

In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the physiological functions and immunity of the body are called “zheng qi” (literally, correct qi); internal pathogenic causes (infection, disharmony of qi, etc.) and external pathogenic factors (hypothermia, injury, etc.) are called “se-qi” (literally – bad qi); excess internal body reserves (for example, fat), abnormal accumulation of fluids in the body (tumors, edema) are called “shui qi” (literally - water qi, or liquid qi).

The purpose of qigong exercises is to strengthen and increase the supply of zhen-qi, to get rid of the pathogenic se-qi, as they say: “If a person has zhen-qi reigning inside, then the xie-qi is not able to act.” The task is to free yourself from the influence of bad se-qi for a long time, to bring the Yin-Yang of the body into harmony; Then you can achieve real health and longevity!

Varieties of qi energy Brief comments by Dr. Cheng Shi Chao, a practicing physician with extensive experience, a specialist in TCM and Shaolin Qigong, formerly the chief physician at the Shaolin Monastery (PRC, Henan Province); was a personal student of one of the last abbots of Shaolin, master Shi De Chan:

Human Qi basically originates from the kidney substance Jing Qi, the energy of food and water, pure natural energy (for example, air, sunlight and moonlight, heat from heated soil, stones, etc.). These three types of qi are inextricably linked with the activities of the kidneys, spleen, stomach, lungs and other internal organs; there they are formed or accumulated, and then distributed throughout the body. If we classify these types of qi according to their functions, characteristics, and origins, then we can distinguish such concepts as yuan qi, zong qi, ying qi and wei qi.

Yuan Qi (元气): Also called “primordial Qi”, “true Qi”, “real Qi” (原气, 真气, 正气). This is the driving force of all human life, the basis of all human powers. This is the basic type of qi energy, the most important, the root. Its qualities are largely determined by heredity and the conditions of fetal growth in the womb. She (元气) defines the transition from intrauterine life to life after birth. Yuan Chi passes through the system of three heaters (三焦) and spreads throughout the body. Yuan Qi serves as the driving force behind the development and growth of the human body in childhood and adolescence, the formation and development of internal organs (Zang Fu), the activity of channels and meridians (Jing Lo), and the physiology of all body systems. Yuan Qi helps to maintain and maintain the balance of basic substances and nutrients on which human life depends. Thus, abundant and strong yuan qi gives good health and immunity, and the ability to easily endure diseases. And on the contrary, weakening and depletion of yuan-qi (or, say, bad heredity, birth trauma, etc.) leads to the emergence of conditions for the occurrence of diseases.

Zong Qi (宗气): concentrated in the middle of the chest, this place is sometimes also called the “upper sea of Qi” or the “Tan Zhong” area. Zong Chi energy is formed as a result of the transformation of food by the digestive organs (stomach-spleen), as well as as a result of the absorption of air by the body through the lungs. In short, Zong Qi is the result of the interaction of breathing and digestion. Zong-qi accumulates in the tan-zhong area (middle of the chest, “shang-qi-hai”), passes through the lung channel, has an external outlet through the throat (breathing), and penetrates the heart channel (心脉). In the lower direction, zong qi enters through the lung channel and accumulates in the tan tien area, from where it can flow into the feet through the yang channels.

Ying-qi (营气): moves along the main channels (mai, 脉) of the body, is closely related to the blood supply, and is formed as a result of the body’s absorption of nutrients from food and water. Thus, ying qi depends on the work of the stomach and spleen, spreads along with the blood, nourishes the entire body - including delivering nutrients from the spleen to the lungs. Ying Qi comes from the middle heater, enters the central channels (ren-mai) through the lung channel, from there it is distributed into 14 secondary channels and encircles the entire body. There are two main functions: hematopoiesis and supplying the body with nutrients (and energy).

Wei-qi (卫气): located mainly in the central channels (anteromedian ren-mai and posteromedial du-mai), performs a protective function. The source of Wei Qi energy is also the digestive processes in the spleen and stomach, from there it is sent to the lungs, then through the channels it is delivered to the outer integument of the body and diseased areas of the body (“envelops” them like a blanket). Provides mobility and speed of movement of a person, good reaction and healthy skin (not limited to distribution through the blood vessels inside the body). Anatomically, Wei Qi is concentrated in the pleural cavity and from there spreads to the thoracic region and abdominal cavity. The main functions are manifested in three aspects: protecting the skin and muscles from external damage; heating of internal organs through skin, hair, muscle tissue; as well as control over sweating and body temperature balance. Therefore, if wei qi is insufficient, the resistance to external influences on the body decreases, a person can easily get injured, catch a cold in the wind, get sick from hypothermia, etc.

Chinese medicine - Qi energy

Qi energy and sores - how do Chinese healers explain ailments that arise in humans? Illness is a weakness that leads to the invasion of illness. In Chinese medicine, there are 3 types of stress that lead to diseases:

  1. Kidneys (stress 1)
    – manifested by a constant feeling of loss of strength, hormonal imbalance and decreased libido. Emotions: fear, irritability, anxiety. Recommendations for replenishing kidney qi: getting enough sleep, eating seafood, nuts, breathing practices.
  2. Digestive organs (stress 2)
    – depletion of qi is manifested by abdominal pain, flatulence, and stool disorders. Emotions: grievances, sudden outbursts of aggression, unmotivated crying. Digestive Qi is replenished with the help of a long-term diet: cereal porridge with water, steamed vegetables, berries. Keep a diary of observations, verbalize your emotional state.
  3. Liver (stress 3)
    – improper flow of Qi in this organ leads to disruption throughout the body. It manifests itself as sleep disturbances and inability to cope with current tasks. Restoration of liver qi occurs with proper nutrition: avoiding fatty and refined foods. Planning your day will help your Chi energy not to dissipate on unimportant matters.

How does qi energy circulate in the body?

The qi energy inside a person circulates along certain meridians. They are invisible, but their location and presence are quite easily determined using electrical measuring instruments.

There are 12 main meridians, most of which correspond to the most important human organs. The energy begins its movement in the lungs and ends in the liver, covering every millimeter of the body.

The movement of qi energy can be compared to the way a river moves along its bed. Changes in direction, stagnation, decreased water levels - all this leads to withering. It’s the same with energy—its imbalance disrupts human health.

Let's look at the main types of energy disorders.
