How does IQOS work?

The device consists of 2 main parts (in IQOS Multi they are combined into one): a charger and a holder, which contains an important element of technology - a ceramic heating element. Its shape is mathematically verified: a wide flat blade with a pointed end evenly heats the stick, piercing and becoming part of it during use. Tracks made of gold and platinum are applied to the ceramic base, which in combination are capable of constantly monitoring the degree of heating of the tobacco. Temperature data is transmitted to a chip in the holder, which decides to increase or, conversely, decrease the temperature. The heating element is present in each device, and for greater accuracy, is individually calibrated at the factory.

As a result, steam rather than smoke is released during use. Vapor consists mainly of water, glycerin and nicotine and, as studies have shown, has virtually no effect on the quality of the surrounding air.

IQOS instructions

• Remove the holder from the charger (except for IQOS Multi, this model has the holder and charger combined into one).

Version No. 1: Imitation of the iPhone trademark
