    The Rossoshan diocese was formed by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on December 26, 2013 by separating it from the Voronezh and Borisoglebsk diocese. His Grace Bishop Andrey of Ostrogozh, vicar of the Voronezh diocese, was appointed Bishop of Rossoshansk and Ostrogozh[3].
