Miracles of the Holy Martyrs
Many miracles are known that occurred through prayer to the Royal Martyrs.
When there was a civil war, the Red Army soldiers drove a detachment of Cossacks, among whom was a priest, into a swamp and almost completely surrounded them. After a prayer service was served to the Tsar, the entire detachment with horses miraculously came out to their own.
One woman had a vision of Tsar Nicholas, who reported the whereabouts of her son, who had gone missing.
In 1991, two friends went for cranberries and got lost in the forest. It was night, and they almost drowned in the swamp. An appeal to the Martyr King helped them find their way.
One unbaptized foreigner, an alcoholic and drug addict, went on a pilgrimage to Russia. While in Tsarskoe Selo, he fervently asked the martyrs for deliverance from passions and felt that he was healed. After that, he was baptized with the name Nikolai.
N.V. Kartashova suffered from pneumonia and almost died, but through the prayer of her deceased grandmother, Princess Maria appeared to her, gave her warm milk and said that she would get better. When the crisis passed, the patient completely came to her senses, saw her grandmother’s rosary, with which she was buried, and a branch of lilac, which had not been in the room before. Grandmother was a great admirer of the Tsar - the martyr.
There is a well-known icon of Nicholas II, which exudes fragrant myrrh. Before her, many received healing from blindness, leg diseases, hepatitis, stomach diseases and other ailments.
In our difficult life, it is especially important to remember the Romanov Family. The sovereign and his loved ones continue to love their subjects, and we must not forget about our intercessors
Brief biography of the royal passion-bearers
In 1868, Emperor Alexander III had an Heir. They named him Nikolai. The boy was brought up strictly and received a comprehensive education.
At the age of sixteen, he met the daughter of the Duke of Darmstadt, Ludwig, and the English princess Alice. Ten years later, the Future Empress was annexed to Orthodoxy under the name of Alexandra Feodorovna and became the wife of Nikolai Alexandrovich.
Due to the sudden death of his father, the last Russian Sovereign was forced to begin governing a huge country without completing preparations for this difficult task.
In 1896, the Royal Couple was crowned. The coronation was overshadowed by the Khodynka tragedy, when, during the distribution of gifts, a huge crowd of people began to move and a stampede arose that claimed the lives of thousands of people.
The loving spouses had daughters: Olga, Tatyana, Maria, Anastasia. The parents' cherished desire was the desire to have an Heir. They prayed for a son to be given to them.

August 1904
year a boy was born, who was named Alexey.
The family was deeply religious, and the parents often prayed with their children during services. They knew the entire service by heart and sometimes sang in the choir. Nicholas II paid a lot of attention to the needs of the church. With the personal money of the sovereign, many temples were built in the country and abroad. Under him, a large number of saints were canonized.
State affairs were the main concern of the pious Emperor. The country grew rich and developed. But envious people of the sovereign began to foment a revolutionary movement.
In the early spring of 1917, Russia was preparing to give the enemy a decisive battle in the First World War. But riots broke out in the capital, ending with the Tsar’s abdication of the Throne. After this He writes in his diary:
The Tsar's family was kept under arrest in Tsarskoe Selo for five months. In August they were taken to Tobolsk, where they spent a difficult winter. In the spring of 1918, the family and their faithful servants were transported to Yekaterinburg. After brutal abuse for two and a half months, on the night of July 17, they were all shot.
One of Olga Nikolaevna’s letters contains the following lines:
Three days after the murder, Patriarch Tikhon spoke at a sermon about the grave crime committed in Yekaterinburg and served a requiem. From that moment on, the people began to spontaneously venerate the Tsar as a martyr.

About veneration of the icon
The icon of Tsar Nicholas, which performed miracles of healing and exuded myrrh, became widely known. The lithographic image of the Tsar was carried over the territory of Russia, as well as the entire globe. The Space Procession around the Earth (2018), prepared on the initiative of the Military Orthodox Mission, was dedicated to the centenary of the assassination of the sovereign and his family, as well as their blessed memory. After this, the shrines (lithographs) were transferred to the most significant monasteries and temples associated with the fate of the dynasty: Moscow monasteries, churches of St. Petersburg, Ipatiev Kostroma Monastery, Church on the Blood in Yekaterinburg, to the Monastery of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers on Ganina Yama, as well as to churches Russian abroad. Twice the image of the sovereign visited the Holy Mount Athos.
The day of veneration of the icon of Nicholas II is July 17 (the date of the execution of the royal family in the Ipatiev House). On this day, all believers pray for the fate of Russia and beg for forgiveness for the martyrdom of the sovereign and his family.
The reign of Nicholas II can be assessed in different ways, but the height of his moral character has never been in doubt. He is remembered as a wonderful family man, a wonderful husband and father, a pious man and faithful to the commandments of Christ, engaged in charity and generously donating to the construction of churches.
Therefore, they pray to the icon of the last Russian Tsar for protection and preservation of peace in the family, for the resolution of family problems, for the protection of children and loved ones. The Holy Emperor is asked to protect him from the external and internal enemies of the country, from those who are trying to undermine the foundations of Orthodoxy, and to strengthen patriotic feelings. In front of the myrrh-streaming image of the king, they pray for healing from illnesses.
Myrrh-streaming image
It was the whole family that was glorified by the Church, so many icon painting theorists believe that depicting St. Nicholas separately, not entirely true. However, there are examples when the veneration of an individual saint goes beyond the established canon. Thus, the prototype of the famous miraculous “myrrh-streaming” icon, which partly served as the basis for the creation of a separate iconography of the king, was written in precisely such a “non-historical” style, which is completely justified by its appearance.
The icon was created in California in the late nineties, several years before the act of canonization of Tsar Nicholas II by the Church. A Russian emigrant, Ia Dmitrievna Shmit (Podmoshenskaya), living in the States, saw in a dream an icon depicting the royal martyr in an ancient princely robe, more likely to be the first Romanov, with the upcoming saints - St. Job, the long-suffering and heavenly patron of the emperor, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker of Myra.
The woman wanted to paint an icon and turned for help to the icon painter Pavel Nikolaevich Tikhomirov, who lived and worked in California. Some time later, after searching for a similar image of St. Tsar Nicholas among his photographs and portraits, the icon was ready.
Several lithographic copies were made from it, and when one of them ended up in the church of the Moscow Sretensky Monastery, it became myrrh, spreading a wonderful fragrance around it. The icon began to travel to holy places, visited Mount Athos and the site of the death of the royal family. In 1998, its myrrh flow became visible; the lithograph icon not only smelled fragrant, but drops of thick amber myrrh flowed down it. There are known cases of healing that occurred through prayer to a miraculous image.
Prayers are offered to the icon of the holy royal passion-bearer Nicholas II for family well-being, for overcoming adversity, asking for help in raising children in faith and piety, and for preserving the chastity of the child’s soul. The Holy Sovereign Nicholas II is also glorified as the heavenly intercessor for his native fatherland; they pray to him for the repentance of the entire Russian people.
About miraculous healings
There are a huge number of facts about miraculous healings from illnesses as a result of turning to the icon of Nicholas 2 for help. The stories of witnesses were passed on from mouth to mouth, fame ran ahead of the image itself.
The first case of miraculous healing was recorded in the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity (Khokhly). Here, thanks to the icon of the holy martyr king, the sight of retired colonel A.M. Vytyagov was restored.
It also became known about the miraculous healing of a man whose illness did not allow him to feed his family. No doctors helped. When he began to pray zealously in front of the icon of Tsar Nicholas II, his health returned.
There was also a case recorded in Ukraine when a woman suffering from ascites received relief from her torment. Her belly was so huge that it made it impossible to breathe. When the woman began to pray to Tsar Nicholas, her stomach sank, the pain stopped, and the sufferer died calmly and quietly.
Son passed the exam
I will tell you about God’s help through the prayers of the holy passion-bearer Tsar Nicholas. Last year, my youngest son graduated from school and entered university.
We advise you to study Catholic icons
The company where I work is located not far from the Church of the Savior on the Sands.
On the eve of my son’s exam, I went to church to pray that the child would successfully pass the Unified State Exam. She prayed to the Mother of God “Tikhvinskaya” with tears. Then the gaze fell on the icon of the royal passion-bearers. I thought, who else but the Russian Emperor should pray for my children born in the Republic of the North Caucasus? The son entered the faculty where he wanted - the Moscow Institute of Railways of Emperor Nicholas II! Can you imagine?!

Prayer to Nicholas II
O holy passion-bearer, martyr Tsar Nicholas! The Lord has chosen you as His anointed one, to be merciful and right to judge your people and to be the guardian of the Orthodox Church.
For this reason, with the fear of God, you performed royal service and cared for souls. The Lord, testing you like the long-suffering Job, allow you reproach, bitter sorrow, betrayal, betrayal, alienation of your neighbors and abandonment of the earthly kingdom in mental anguish.
All this for the good of Russia, as her faithful son, having endured and, as a true servant of Christ, received a martyr's death, you have reached the Kingdom of Heaven, where you enjoy the highest glory at the throne of all the Tsar, together with your holy spouse, Queen Alexandra, and your royal children Alexy , Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia.
Prayer to the Tsar-Redeemer Nicholas II
Prayer to the Holy Tsar-Redeemer Nicholas.
“Oh, Great God-chosen King of Kings,
The most pious of the pious, the most pious of the pious,
called to the unique Christ-like feat of atonement for the common sin of betrayal of Your people,
bringing the righteous Wrath of God upon this generation even to the fourth generation!
Oh, Most Gracious Sovereign, have mercy on us with Your mercy and forgive us the ungodly sin of betraying You,
and an oath was quickly sworn to serve the Romanov family until the Second Coming of Christ;
and beg the Most Holy Trinity to forgive us all our iniquities and the grave sin of perjury,
Even though we are many sinners, he does not want us to perish in our iniquities,
but turn around and be revived!
Ask us from above for the Spirit of true repentance, unfeigned sorrow for God,
may we be able to understand that the Will of God is good and perfect,
Let us bless You, Dear Holy One, Tsar-Redeemer Nicholas
and may the Orthodox Autocratic Kingdom be established and rise again in the House of the Most Holy Theotokos,
and may the Name of the Most Holy Trinity revealed in Christ the Lord be glorified forever and ever!
Prayer to Tsar Nicholas 2
O holy great Russian Tsar and passion-bearer Nicholas! Listen to the voice of our prayer and lift up to the Throne of the all-seeing Lord the groaning and sighing of the Russian people, once chosen and blessed by God, but now fallen and departed from God. Resolve the perjury that hitherto weighs heavily on the Russian people. We have sinned grievously by apostasy from the Heavenly King, leaving the Orthodox faith to be trampled upon by the wicked, breaking the conciliar oath and not forbidding the murder of yours, your family and your faithful servants.
Not because we obeyed the commandment of the Lord: “Touch not my anointed,” but to David who said: “Whoever stretches out his hand against the Lord’s Anointed, will not the Lord strike him?” And now, worthy of our deeds, we are acceptable, for even to this day the sin of shedding the royal blood weighs on us.
To this day our holy places are being desecrated. Fornication and lawlessness do not diminish from us. Our children are given over to reproach. Innocent blood cries to heaven, shed every hour in our land.
But see the tears and contrition of our hearts, we repent, just as the people of Kiev once did before Prince Igor, who was martyred by them; like the people of Vladimir before Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky, who was killed by them, we ask: pray to the Lord, may he not turn away from us completely, may he not deprive the Russian people of His great chosenness, but may he give us the wisdom of salvation, so that we can rise from the depths of this fall.
Imashi, Tsar Nicholas, have great boldness, for you shed your blood for your people, and you laid down your soul not only for your friends, but also for your enemies. For this reason, stand now in the Everlasting Light of the King of Glory, as His faithful servant.
Be our intercessor, protector, and protector. Do not turn away from us, and do not leave us to be trampled underfoot by the wicked. Grant us the strength to repent, and incline God’s justice to mercy, so that the Lord will not destroy us completely, but may He forgive us all and mercifully have mercy on us, and save the Russian land and its people.
Canon to the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers
voice 6
Song 1 Irmos: The wave of the sea hid the persecutor of old, the tormentor, under the earth the shelter of the saved youths: but we, like young women, sing to the Lord, for we are gloriously glorified.
Chorus: Holy royal passion-bearers, pray to God for us.
Crowned Nicholas, together with the martyr's faces, the queen, children and servants, standing at the Throne of Christ, grant us enlightenment, illuminating the darkness and insensibility of our souls, as let us joyfully praise your blessed memory.
Now the prophecy of the Sarov elder, that God will glorify me, has been fulfilled, and the Russian Church will glorify the royal passion-bearer. In the same way, together with the Reverend, he prays, so that we may acquire the grace of the Holy Spirit.
The heart of a king is in the hand of God, says the Lord. But you, the true anointed one and servant of the Lord, reverently declared: not only my life, but also the paths of the Russian country are in the hand of the Lord.
Theotokos: You are our strength, You are our praise and joy, Invincible Representative and Sovereign Protection of the Russian country, Most Holy Theotokos, with the royal passion-bearers and new martyrs, pray to save Your servants.
Song 3 Irmos: You, who hanged the whole earth uncontrollably on the waters, having seen the creature hanging on the forehead, shuddered with horror to many, is not Holy, unless they cry out to You, Lord.
Seeing the desecration and destruction of his land from the godless, the pious king, weeping from the depths of his heart, like the prophet Jeremiah, groaned and prayed for the people who had sinned: Merciful Lord, do not forsake them who have forsaken me.
On earth you hungered and thirsted for the truth of God, you laid down your soul for the meek man, righteous Nicholas, and yet you were satisfied in the Heavenly Kingdom, where you abide forever.
Grant healing and miracles, holy passion-bearers, to the people who flow to you by faith, and turn our sorrow into joy through your prayers.
Theotokos: Refuge, Highest Cover of Thy Imam, Blessed Mother of God, preserve and intercede with Your help, All-Singing One.
Sedalen, voice 4 When many of our relatives departed from God, turned away from God's commandments and rose up against the Lord and His anointed, then the wrath of God came to the Russian land, drying up the love of many, the blood of our brothers was shed, the people of Russia were wasted all over the face of the earth, churches Ours was subjected to reproach, we suffered the invasion of foreigners, and it became the derision of tongues. We, understanding this, with contrition of heart in repentance, call: forgive and have mercy on us, Lord, according to Your great mercy, cleanse our iniquities and grant to the suffering country of Russia, through the intercession of the royal martyrs, forgiveness of sins, peace and great mercy.
Song 4 Irmos: On the Cross, Habakkuk, foreseeing Your Divine exhaustion, cried out in horror: You have cut off the mighty power, O Good One, communing with those in hell, as Omnipotent.
You have been enriched by spiritual poverty, Saint Nicholas, and the Lord has made you worthy not only of the earthly, but also of the Heavenly Kingdom.
Contain grief quickly, crowned Nicholas, in vain the blinding of your people, who have renounced the Heavenly King, as well as the earthly one.
Having courageously placed your trust in God in your long-suffering earthly service, like Job sometimes, you received reward a hundredfold in Heaven, where you now enjoy, royal martyr.
Theotokos: The doors of mercy, Blessed Mother of God, open for us, that we may get rid of our troubles and bitterness, as we sing to You unceasingly: You are the salvation of the Christian race.
Song 5 Irmos: Thy Epiphany, O Christ, which mercifully came to us, Isaiah, having seen the Unevening Light, having risen from the night, cried out: the dead will rise again, and those who are in the tombs will rise, and those born on earth will rejoice.
You appeared as a peacemaker, holy Tsar Nicholas, bringing peace to the world, saving and protecting thousands in your fatherland and in other countries, for this reason you were called the son of God, according to the word of the Lord.
The holy royal martyr endured exile, reproach, persecution and every false verb spoken against. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward has been accepted in Heaven.
The servants of secret iniquity, the crown of thorns intertwined, laid on you, the royal head, otherwise their insolent deeds were destroyed in reality.
Theotokos: We fell into the mud of sins and the fierce storm of sins drowned us. But, as having given birth to the Savior, O Lady, look upon us, Thy servants, and deliver us from the strangling passions.
Song 6 Irmos: I was born, but was not kept in the breasts of the whale Jonah: For wearing your image, who suffered and was given burial, like from a palace, from a beast; Having invited the custodians, who guard vain and false things, they left this mercy to nature.
You were the intercessor of all Orthodox Christians, God-chosen Nicholas, who showed good protection to the Slovenian people and, like brother, helped brother.
O son faithful to the Holy Church! You have appeared, a zealot for the glorification of the saints, creator of churches, beautifier of holy monasteries, benefactor of the Holy Lands and Mount Athos, guardian of Orthodox enlightenment and patron of monasticism.
In your life and in your deeds of love, the image of the Christian quickly, the God-crowned Tsars Nicholas and Alexandro, put at the forefront the Stone - Christ, our God.
Theotokos: We resort to You, Queen of Sovereigns, faithful to the Protection, we place our hope for salvation in You, Most Holy Lady Theotokos, do not despise us.
Kontakion, tone 8 Chosen by the King of those who reign and by the Lord who rule from the line of the kings of Russia, the faithful martyr, who accepted mental torment and bodily death for Christ, and was crowned with heavenly crowns, to you, as our merciful patron, we cry out with love and gratitude: Rejoice, royal passion-bearers, for Holy Russia before God with zeal in prayer.
Ikos who shone with glory and the wealth of piety, who were adorned with much-valued scarlet and a crown, who shone forth with mercy and righteousness in life, who revealed faith, hope and love for God to the end to nature. To you, as our merciful patron, we cry out with loving gratitude: Rejoice, royal passion-bearers, for Holy Rus' before God, zealous prayer books.
Song 7 Irmos: An indescribable miracle, in the cave He who delivered the venerable youths from the flames in the tomb, dead and lifeless, is relied upon for the salvation of us, who sing: Blessed be the Deliverer, O God, ecu.
As you lovingly visited your relatives, your sick warriors, the royal martyr, and consoled them with love, and watered their resting places with your tears.
You are the image of a virtuous marriage and a pious upbringing of children, holy kings Nicholas and Alexandro. Having completed your house, like a spiritual flower garden, you now rejoice in Heaven together with your children.
Staying at the height of human glory, you ever thought about the Heavenly Ones, Tsar Nicholas, and may your holy soul aspire.
Theotokos: All-Holy Lady, revive our minds, mortified by many passions, and strengthen us to do godly work, so that we magnify You as the Intercessor of the Christian race.
Song 8 Irmos: Be terrified, fear Heaven, and let the foundations of the earth move: for behold, the dead are counted among the Highest and the Living One is accepted into the grave in a strange way. Bless the youths, sing to the priests, extol the people forever.
When the saints of God predicted for you the path of martyrdom, like the prophet Agabus did for Paul, you, the royal passion-bearers, did not turn away from either the right hand or the left, but courageously pursued it, looking to the Perfecter of the faith, Jesus Christ.
In your suffering, holy passion-bearers, you did not reject the Way, the Truth and the Life, Christ our God, and did not fear the God-fighters, but patiently walked the royal path to eternal life.
Alas for us, who have trampled on the covenants of our fathers, who have retreated from the vow of loyalty to the royal family, the blessed Holy Church, and thus separated ourselves from the path of God. Forgive us, Lord, for all this we have done and have mercy on us through the prayers of the holy passion-bearers.
Theotokos: You are our intercessor, Mother of God, constantly praying for us, so that we may repent and correct ourselves, the Hope and Refuge of our souls.
Song 9 Irmos: Do not weep for Me, Mother, seeing in the tomb, Who in the womb without seed conceived a Son: for I will arise and be glorified, and will exalt with glory unceasingly, like God, magnifying Thee with faith and love.
May Holy Rus' be resurrected through the prayers of your royal passion-bearers and new martyr, O Lord, and may all her enemies soon be scattered, and may all those who hate her flee from her face from now on and forever.
Place all your trust in the Lord, our sovereign king. In the same way, let us pray to the Lord with hope, that He may strengthen our country in Orthodoxy with the prayers of the Mother of God and the Royal Passion-Bearer and save our souls.
As worthy singing, holy passion-bearers, accept this little prayer, and as Christ accepted two mites of widows, do not disdain us, the accursed, overwhelmed by passions, your wretched worshipers and servants.
Theotokos: With Your sovereign protection, O Pure One, keep Your servants all unharmed: For You alone are the Imams Refuge in needs, Consolation in sorrows and Victory in our battles.
Luminary to the Impending Light of the coming, holy royal passion-bearers, with the faces of martyrdom, do not leave us in the test with your prayers.
Holy Passion-Bearer Tsar Nicholas II
What is the feat of the last Russian monarch?
The ordinary people of our Fatherland have always respected the emperor and his family, and began to revere them soon after the assassination in 1918. Lithiums and memorial services were served with the names of the sovereign, his wife and children mentioned. This veneration was especially evident among the Russian emigration, where many clergy and laity turned to the spiritual leadership with requests for canonization. The Tsar and his family were glorified in the following Churches:
• 1938 – Serbian Orthodox (The Emperor and his family);
• 1967 – Foreign countries began to commemorate the Tsar-Martyr;
• 1981 - ROCOR - as holy royal martyrs;
• 1990s – in some dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church: in Yekaterinburg, Odessa, Lugansk, Bryansk and Tulchin;
• 2000 – Russian Orthodox Church as passion-bearers.

Reasons for canonization
Holy Royal Passion-Bearers
The following are considered officially recognized reasons:
- Endured moral and physical torment during imprisonment with meekness and long-suffering.
- Nationwide veneration and numerous calls from clergy and laity with petitions for glorification.
- Miracles and gracious help through the prayers of the royal martyrs, the flow of myrrh and the bleeding of images.
- The personal piety of the Sovereign, his participation in church construction, contributing to the canonization of many saints.
- Serving as ordinary sisters of mercy during the war for Empress Alexandra Feodorovna and her eldest daughters.
This is interesting: Why were the royal passion-bearers canonized: the canonization of Nicholas II and his family
No costly repairs
There was a small miracle in my life. I arrived in St. Petersburg, and a relative’s car had an oil leak from the engine. And the engine jammed. We realized that the repairs would take a long time. The two of us headed to the Peter and Paul Cathedral and prayed next to the unrecognized remains of the royal family. They joked: if the engine was not damaged, it was thanks to the royal martyrs. We read the canon to the Royal Passion-Bearers, and the next day it turned out that the engine was fine. Just replaced a small part, and the car is in good working order.
A miracle, of course, cannot be touched; everything is done by faith. If they open an aisle with unrecognized remains, there will be countless miracles there.

Ikos 11
Like a light-receiving light on a high candlestick, so that it shines for everyone, set up, we remember you, the great Tsar of Russia, and with falling tears, we pray: save the Russian country by your intercession, according to the word of your venerable one, languishing under the yoke of demons to this day, and deliver the sons of Babylon from this captivity Russians, may we invite you without any restrictions:
Rejoice, for at the hands of a lawless man, as once the holy Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky met his end; Rejoice, for the second Nicholas the Wonderworker appeared in Rus'.
Rejoice, for your second son Demetrius Tsarevich has appeared; Rejoice, for your wife has become like the ancient queen Alexandra.
Rejoice, for your daughters were married to Christ and ascended into the palace of the Heavenly Bridegroom; Rejoice, for your faithful servants have been counted among the martyr.
Rejoice, Nicholas, faithful to the Tsar and great passion-bearer!
Reverence
The reverent attitude towards the emperor and his relatives did not stop throughout the existence of the Soviet state. Priests and parishioners annually secretly held prayer services to commemorate the murdered sufferers on May 18, the birthday of Nicholas II, and July 17, the day of his execution. Despite the merciless persecution of the godless authorities, many local residents dared to place photographs of the Royal Passion-Bearers as icons in their home iconostasis, endangering their lives. The Church had not yet glorified the feat of the Imperial Family, but universal love already foreshadowed the imminent canonization.
Orthodox understanding of the mission of the redeemer
After the revolution, the belief arose in the society of Russian emigrants that the shedding of the blood of Tsar Nicholas II became an atoning sacrifice for Russia and the entire Russian population. According to supporters of this idea, not only those who betrayed the sovereign and approved his execution will be subject to God's punishment, but also the entire Russian people. They demanded universal repentance from people for the atrocity committed against the last Russian Tsar. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill said about nationwide repentance:
We advise you to study the Icon of Artemy Verkolsky
In Russia, this idea began to spread in the 90s. The “Tsarebozhniki” focused on the dubious “prophecy of Abel,” which states that Nicholas II “will replace the royal crown with a crown of thorns,” and also attached special importance to the oath that was taken on behalf of the people in 1613 at the Zemsky Sobor. In 2008, some proponents of this movement united to form the “Royal Orthodox Church.” They worship the Mother of God before Jesus Christ, creating non-canonical images of her. The “Tsarevozhniki” compiled liturgical texts, an akathist to the “holy Redeemer Tsar,” a creed and other prayers in which the Redeemer Tsar is glorified.
When to read an akathist to the royal passion-bearers
The Akathist to Tsar Nikolai Alexandrovich is read to honor the memory of the innocent martyrs, to glorify his humility, piety and contribution to the development of the Orthodox Church in Russia and in the world. The akathist is also read when turning to the saint for help in resolving various problems.
Reading the akathist in honor of Tsar Nicholas, as a strong prayer speech, helps believers:
- to be healed from illnesses;
- find peace and tranquility;
- get rid of addictions (alcoholism, drug addiction, smoking);
- strengthen in faith;
- find missing relatives;
- gain protection from enemies and negative influences.
Prayers read before the images of the royal passion-bearers have miraculous power and can help in solving even difficult situations, which is confirmed by numerous testimonies of believers. The holy martyrs patronize the righteous who truly believe in God, and reading the akathist helps prayers to be heard in the Kingdom of Heaven.
“You have your own Saint Nicholas”
Previously, for many needs, I turned to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. Once I saw him in a dream. The saint said: “Why are you only addressing me? You Slavs have your own Saint Nicholas, the martyr Tsar.”
Since then, I have addressed my prayer requests to Nicholas II. And he responds...
One day I was traveling on a commuter bus from my dacha. An excited crowd of teenagers entered the bus and behaved extremely defiantly: they swore loudly, sang obscene songs, drank beer, and bullied passengers. There was a feeling that these were not teenagers, but a crowd of demons. But no matter how low a person falls, he still bears the image of God within himself. And I began to pray with pain for this lost Russian generation to Tsar-martyr Nicholas II. And gradually the guys began to calm down and calm down. And I even got into a conversation with one guy...
Tsar Nicholas, pray to God for us and Russia!
About the fate of the icon
The icon depicting the Russian Tsar is today kept at Ia Schmidt’s home. The woman began selling lithographs made from the image so that they would help Russians experiencing difficulties abroad. Several lithographs ended up in the possession of Iya Dmitrevna’s brother, abbot Herman, who served in the Ryazan St. Nicholas almshouse. He brought them to Russia. One of them in the St. Nicholas almshouse (Ryazan) was seen by O.I. Belchenko, who became its custodian. And this happened eighty years after the renunciation, on March 15, 1997. Since then, on his initiative, the image of the sovereign began to wander around the churches of Russia, never staying anywhere for long.
One of the miracles associated with the image of the emperor, according to witnesses, is the streaming of myrrh from his icon, which occurs on days of special celebrations or memorable historical events, accompanied by an extraordinary unearthly fragrance. The image in front of which the akathists were read flowed myrrh for several months. For example, on February 28, 1999, on the holiday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, the lithograph was transferred to the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker located in Pyzhi. The icon was received here with special solemnity: a carpet was laid out in front of it, all the bells were rung, and the parishioners performed prayers at this time. According to eyewitnesses, the image of the Emperor flowed strongly with myrrh that day.
We underestimate the help of the family of Nicholas II
I love and honor the holy royal martyrs very much. I prayed to them to meet my future husband. And I met him almost immediately.
At some stage, a crisis and great discord began in the family. It came to a divorce. Again I prayed to the King and his family. She asked me to save my marriage and not lose my God-given husband. And Nicholas II talked some sense into me. I feel their prayerful help to our family.
Last year, I even specially chose the date of the operation on the day of remembrance of the Royal Martyrs. And the operation went better than the doctors had planned according to the most favorable prognosis.
At home, in addition to their icon, there is also a portrait of the royal family. This is my ideal family that I strive for.
It is very sad that many families do not turn to the royal family in prayer. We underestimate his help. And he will definitely help. Ask for his prayers!

The meaning of the akathist to Tsar Nicholas the Redeemer in Orthodoxy
The memory of the tragic death of the godly Russian Emperor Nikolai Alexandrovich and his significance in the development of Orthodoxy are immortalized in the history of the Russian Church. The text of the akathist tells about the feat and martyrdom of the royal family, glorifies the godly deeds of the king, and sends the petitions of believers to the holy martyrs.
The emperor, suffering in captivity, urged his associates not to take revenge for him, wanting only peace and prosperity for Russia. Together with his wife and children, burdened by hardships, physical and spiritual suffering, he tirelessly read prayers, entrusting his fate into the hands of the Lord God.
Prayers before the icon of Tsar Nicholas, nicknamed the Redeemer, and his family have miraculous powers. Believers say that after praying to the royal martyrs they find healing, peace of mind, find the true path of salvation and are reunited with missing relatives.
The Akathist to Tsar Nicholas is a powerful prayer that allows you to receive the patronage of saints and find Divine help in resolving various problems.
“I have been given enormous power to help, but no one asks”
I am a father of many children. An artist by profession. And, as expected in this profession, I live from order to order. And this means either empty or thick.
In the summer I was visiting a large believing family. They often visit Yekaterinburg on Tsar's days. We were sitting at the table as a guest.
At the next table there was a portrait of the Emperor, under which there was a signature: “I have been given enormous power to help, but no one asks.” I thought about it. Then he asked the hostess if she had an akathist to the Royal Passion-Bearers. She answered in the affirmative. I took it, flipped through it and read a few lines. And suddenly the mobile phone rings in my pocket. Customer! When I completed the work, I gave the earnings to my wife for the children.
What a miracle! From now on I often pray to Nicholas II and his family with a request to feed their large family, and they help!
Vsevolod, Ekaterinburg
Sin of murder
The anointed one of God, his wife and children were brutally murdered, and that sin weighed heavily on all of Russia for many decades. Only in 2000, at the turn of the millennium, the Russian Orthodox Church canonized the murdered Emperor Nicholas II and his family as royal martyrs. To glorify the new saints, an icon of Nicholas 2 appeared (photo presented below), as well as images dedicated to his royal wife and children.
However, it should be remembered that the perpetuation by icon painters of the royal victims of the October tyranny was dictated not only by the desire to glorify them. The appearance of the icon of Nicholas 2 and his family serves as a reminder of the need for repentance of the entire people, who are guilty of a terrible sin - apostasy from the anointed of God, left together with his innocent wife and children in the hands of ruthless enemies. This sin is further aggravated by the fact that neither the emperor, nor his family, nor any of those close to him during the entire time of their arrest and detention never tried to offer any resistance. All of them, with the humble meekness of true Christians, accepted the will of God. This sin still weighs heavily on Russia. And many generations will have to pray for it.
Iconography
The first icons of the royal family appeared long before the act of canonization; it is known that already in the twenties of the last century there was a tradition of special commemoration of the innocently murdered Tsar Nicholas II at divine services; it was established by Patriarch Tikhon. In the houses of believers, in the “red corners”, photographic portraits of the royal passion-bearers were hung next to the icons. Iconography often follows liturgical practice.
The painting of icons of the royal family is interesting because it is essentially a spontaneous phenomenon.
Interesting fact
At the moment, there is no established canon; every icon painter is free to take a hagiographic story or portrait, of which there are many, and, based on it, create a completely new image. We can say that the process of formation of the iconography of the royal passion-bearers is taking place.
The half-length icon of the holy passion-bearer Nicholas II, very often found in our churches, was created in the USA; it depicts the Tsar in Russian princely robes of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. His head is covered with the traditional royal “Monomakh” cap, and in his hand is a cross - an attribute of martyrdom. The icon glorifies the royal and martyrdom of the monarch. Another option depicts St. Nicholas in the crown of the Russian Empire, in his hands he holds an orb and a scepter. This interpretation is considered not entirely canonical, since it is far from historical truth.
When Saint Tsar Nicholas II was crowned, he was dressed completely differently. The artist Valentin Serov, who was present at the celebration, captured the moment of the Tsar’s anointing in his watercolors. The monarch wore a military uniform and a coronation, possibly ermine, robe.
There are a number of hagiographic icons of the Family of the Royal Passion-Bearers. First of all, this is an icon containing a hagiographic scene of martyrdom - the murder of the royal family by the Bolsheviks.
Another common icon, “The Council of New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia for Christ, those who suffered, revealed and not revealed,” is located in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The icon depicts the royal family, compositionally in the center, surrounded by new martyrs. Often, the centerpiece is taken from this icon and used to paint a separate image. This is a very well-known, widely replicated iconography.
On the iconography of the royal martyrs
It is hardly possible to forget that together with Nicholas II, his entire family, including innocent children, suffered martyrdom. Therefore, the icon of the royal family is no less popular among Russian believers.
The iconography of the Romanov family is based on authentic photographs of the emperor’s loved ones. The faces of the royal martyrs bear a resemblance to their photographic portraits. Some masters depict martyrs in an icon-painting style. Not only members of the king’s family were immortalized in holy images, but also all those who remained faithful to them until their death hour.

O all-praised and all-pious bishop, great Wonderworker, Saint of Christ, Father Nicholas, man of God and faithful servant, man of desires, chosen vessel, strong pillar of the church, bright lamp, shining star and illuminating the whole universe: you are a righteous man, like a blossoming date planted in the courts of your Lord, living in Mireh, you were fragrant with myrrh, and you flowed with the ever-flowing grace of God.

We advise you to study the Prayers in front of the icon “Support of Sinners”

In the same way, we bow our contrite and humble hearts to our Creator, and we ask for your fatherly intercession to Him:
Help us, O Pleasant of God, so that we do not perish through our iniquities, deliver us from all evil and from all things that are resistant, guide our minds and strengthen our hearts in the right faith, in it through your intercession and intercession, neither wounds nor rebuke, neither pestilence nor any wrath will grant me to live in this age, and will deliver me from my standing, and will make me worthy to join all the saints. Akathist to Tsar Nicholas II the Redeemer
Kontakion 1
Chosen from birth to Tsar Nicholas, the earthly image of Christ the King, by Grace, showed the world to all, in the days of the accursed turmoil by Your People, to be slandered, desecrated and crucified by the sons of the devil, betrayed by vile treason, and like the Lamb of God, who bore His collective sin; the feat of love of Calvary's atoning sacrifice was revealed for the sake of saving Russia and atonement for the sin of infidelity of its people. To you, the admirable Pleasant of God and the Holy Autocrat of Rus', we sing a song of praise: Rejoice, Holy One to the Redeemer Tsar Nicholas, calling Rus' to the resurrection through Council Repentance.
Ikos 1
The Russian people beheld an angel in the flesh, the Holy Tsar-Redeemer Nicholas, who stands unshakably in the Orthodox Faith and has a single goal: the peaceful prosperity, power and glory of Russia; as a loving Father, You were Your people of every rank and status. Moreover, by the spirit of this world of deception, Your children have turned away from serving God and You, His Christ, onto the path of destruction. We, marveling at Your feat, praise You like this:
Rejoice, embodiment of Christ's love;
Rejoice, decoration of the Russian Throne.
Rejoice, thou who hast become like Job in long-suffering humility;
Rejoice, for your redemptive feat you were worthy to sit at the right hand of Christ.
Rejoice, Saint Nicholas the Redeemer, calling Rus' to resurrection through Council Repentance.
Kontakion 2
Seeing the merciful Lord, the great tree of the Russian Power is shaken by the winds of malice in the heavens and fiercely ulcerated by a multitude of parasites, raising Thee, Holy One to Tsar Nicholas, as a wise heli-grader in His heli-city, so that with good care you may strengthen its roots with love and produce an abundance of fruits. From now on the root of the tree became the Holy Royal Family. Having received the Goodness of God from Your right hand, we cry to the Creator of all: Hallelujah.
Ikos 2
You do not want to see the Right Hand of the Lord in the Anointed One of God, and the noble people of Russia have darkened the eyes of your heart with insolent pride, striving to direct the Sovereign Hand of Christ the Lord against the Will of God according to their will. When, in the lust of vanity, You were exposed, You conceived betrayal in our hearts. But you, covering the sovereign’s womb with the love of your father, have forgiven them everything. For this sake we please Thee:
Rejoice, blessed branch of the royal root.
Rejoice, wise heli-grader of the Sovereign Tree.
Rejoice, thou who was struck with the ax of treason against Thy children.
Rejoice, bold intercessor for Russia before God.
Rejoice, Saint Nicholas the Redeemer, calling Rus' to resurrection through Council Repentance.

Power of the Most High Autumn, Holy One to Tsar Nicholas, humbly do the Holy Will of the Heavenly King on earth and wisely rule the Russian State like an Autocrat. Yes, by the Grace of God, through Your prayers, having acquired Grace, the Russian people sing to Christ God: Hallelujah.
Ikos 3
Having concern for the well-being of the Church and the Russian State, I called upon you to faithfully serve You, as the support of the Throne, the servants of your neighbors: standing at the Royal Throne, the Council of Sovereigns creates, vested with power in places, so that justice and truth will be observed for the good of the Fatherland. These, the vow of allegiance to You, given to God, without keeping, you desired the Will of God through You to Rus', manifested by human law, as if to protect it with a wall. Do not forbidden to do the lusts of your heart and do not walk in the ways of the Lord. The faithful servants say to Ti:
Rejoice, solid foundation of the Law of Christ on earth;
Rejoice, unshameful hope for all those who are offended.
Rejoice, devoted servant to your neighbors in the days of trial;
Rejoice, you who graciously forgave those who seized power through treason.
Rejoice, Saint Nicholas the Redeemer, calling Rus' to resurrection through Council Repentance.
Kontakion 4
Undaunted by the storm of anger of the enemies of Christ and our Fatherland, from an early age you dedicated yourself to military service to yourself, Tsar Nicholas. Keeping the covenant of Your parent in your heart, as Russia has no other faith in this world, except the Army and Navy of Russia - a military force. For this reason, you have clothed yourself with unceasing concern for the Power and Glory of the Battle Army. Let all Russian soldiers sing the victorious song to Christ our God: Hallelujah.
Ikos 4
The Orthodox Warriors heard the trumpet voice of the Autocratic Tsar, rising to war in defense of the common faith country of Serbia and surprising the whole world with their feats of arms. Otherwise, exhausted from wounds and sorrows, wounded by the flattery of the enemy, like the sting of slander of the devil, you forgot the Sacred Oath of allegiance to God and to you, His Anointed One. And thus, through Satan’s flattery and seduction, the Sun of the Russian Land, the Autocratic Tsar, was betrayed to slander, desecration and imprisonment. For this reason, the Lord permits the sons of the devil to execute the Russian warriors with cruel death and destroy the glorious army of our Rus'. Let us repent of our madness, and with the Host of Angels let us praise God and His Anointed:
Rejoice, Leader of the Christian Army.
Rejoice, conqueror of the enemy's pride on the battlefield.
Rejoice, you who were left behind by the rebellious army to mock the sons of the devil.
Rejoice, thou who did not disgrace military honor to death.
Rejoice, Saint Nicholas the Redeemer, calling Rus' to resurrection through Council Repentance.
Kontakion 5
Thy virtuous life appeared to the Russian People as a godly star, Tsar Nicholas, as if brightly adorned with a wonderful crown of Christian virtues, You were tirelessly jealous of the strengthening of the Orthodox Faith: spiritual enlightenment, the creation of churches, the planting of good morals. In the hedgehog's grace, the Orthodox people joyfully cry out: Hallelujah.
Ikos 5
You see the Archpastors and pastors of the Church calumniated by the heresy of papism, and neglectful of Christian Piety in the Church. The Russian state, for the wickedness of its shepherds, overcome by many disorders and unbelief, you tried to guide people to Light and Truth, and did not care about the Priesthood in vain. But the Russian shepherds, not knowing You, repaid You with evil for Your good, and instead of loyalty, with vile betrayal, they destroyed Your heart. And so the primordial Orthodox Faith in the Autocratic Tsar, as the Anointed One of God and the herald of the Will of God, has become scarce among the people. From there, tempted by a rebellious spirit, I established the abomination of desolation in the Holy Royal Place in Church prayer. And instead of You - God's Chosen One - the sons of the devil in the Holy Royal Place of Christ of the Lord are commemorated. For this sake, the Lord fulfill the prayers of those who ask, and put the Russian people under the noses of Christ-fighters, and for this iniquity, the fierce fire of the Wrath of God will consume the shepherds of the Russian Church. But they did not understand the reasons for the Wrath of God, and to this day they create the abomination of desolation in Church prayer in the same way. About such blindness of their hearts, we cry out to Ti:
Rejoice, Church of the Russian pillar and fence;
Rejoice, firm confession of the Orthodox Faith.
Rejoice, in the turmoil of conciliar prayer, deprived of treason.
Rejoice, you who expect deep repentance from the Russian shepherds.
Rejoice, Saint Nicholas the Redeemer, calling Rus' to resurrection through Council Repentance.

You appeared as a preacher of valiant service to the Fatherland, O Glorious Tsar-Redeemer Nicholas, showing the image of fidelity and hard work to Your people, especially to the Russian nobility, since by your genealogy you were called to serve the Lord and the Fatherland. Let them crown themselves with glorious deeds and glorify God: Hallelujah.
Ikos 6
Thou shalt shine more than the sun of the world, the glory of the Russian Power, under Thy scepter, Holy Crowned One. Moreover, Thy servants from time immemorial, Thy faithful support, are possessed by the spirit of pride and the poison of foreignness, having loved more than the service of God the glory of this world, and the creation of an idol for themselves from the stifling west and the body of a golden creature. And so the fierce enemy of foreigners has risen in his native land against the Orthodox Faith, the Tsar-Father and his Fatherland with the evil of madness. And the Holy One betrayed Thee to Tsar Nicholas, with treacherous vileness for slander, desecration and beating up the enemies of the Russian family. For this reason, the Lord, seeing the unrepentant malice of these hearts, gave the noble class of Rus' under the sickle of the Christ-fighters, and cut down like a barren vine with the ax of His Righteous Wrath. We, the people of Russia, who have now come into the mind of truth through Your prayers, cry out to Tisitsa:
Rejoice, bright mirror of noble valor.
Rejoice, selfless service to Rus' is the image and beginning.
Rejoice, you who were cast aside by your noble birth in troubles.
Rejoice, forgiving all untruths to the unfaithful servants.
Rejoice, Saint Nicholas the Redeemer, calling Rus' to resurrection through Council Repentance.

The Kingdom of Christ on earth, wisely creating according to the Will of God, Tsar Nicholas bestowed Your mercy on the people of God, farmers and all those who labor by the sweat of their brow. All your days you have been vigilantly zealous for the true enlightenment of the Russian Peoples, so that in our Fatherland the Orthodox Faith may be immaculately maintained and the Name of God glorified in true piety. For this reason, we have now come to the mind of truth from our errors and the laws of our ancestors, immutably preserving the King of Heaven, in His earthly icon - Christ the Lord - faithfully venerating, with one mouth and one heart let us cry out to God: Hallelujah.

The Russian people understood the new Solomon the Wise, Thy Power was created as the Temple of God not for the sake of earthly glory, but for salvation for the sake of human souls, for all you were wanderers on earth in this present life. Suddenly, troubles came, like a storm in the sea of life, the farmers desired to vainly divide the land, they were tempted by corruptible possessions, not wanting to sing in truth to God and You, His Christ:
Rejoice, unhypocritical lover of the Russian Land.
Rejoice, merciful patron of her workers.
Rejoice, you who have placed your trust in the loyalty of the People.
Rejoice, having betrayed him to be slandered and given away to his enemies.
Rejoice, Saint Nicholas the Redeemer, calling Rus' to resurrection through Council Repentance.

A strange miracle appeared to the whole world, when under Your wing, the God-crowned Tsar Nicholas, the Russian State became exalted and prospered like a village, with wealth and glory, and especially with the hard work of the craftsmen of its foreign countries, which is quite surprising. Rejoicing in this, we sing with tenderness to God: Hallelujah.
Ikos 8
All things above and below, retreat in no way, Anointed One of God, keeping the manifold needs of the Russian People in Your heart. You were the first to cover the artisans with parental care, granting them new laws and the Tsar’s mercy. These two people, deceived by godless teachings, rejected the Lord and His Christ, and as the sons of harlots they caused trouble in the Fatherland and from it they themselves were cruelly destroyed. We remember Your mercy and praise You:
Rejoice, tireless figure of hard work.
Rejoice, guardian and friend of the craftsmen.
Rejoice, having covered their needs with the love of a father.
Rejoice, rewarded for love with cruel betrayal.
Rejoice, Saint Nicholas the Redeemer, calling Rus' to resurrection through Council Repentance.

Every angelic nature bows to the Heavenly King and Creator of all: Holy, Holy, Holy, crying out loudly with fear, in the same way the Russian people worship Ti, Holy Redeemer Tsar Nicholas, as a living image of Christ the King, singing in tenderness of heart: God save the Tsar and glorify God : Hallelujah.
Ikos 9
The branches of multi-proclamation will not be able to utter all Your good deeds to the Russian People, Holy Tsar Nicholas the Redeemer, for You were the patron of wisdom, a bookish person, skilled in words and arts, bestowing favor. But she, in her pride and free-thinking, rejected the Lord and His Christ to You, and worshiped the falsely named human mind, raising many blasphemies against the Holy Place of the Lord. And so for the sake of this wickedness, the Wrath of God in the turmoil of the flogging was and to this day has not turned to God and His Christ. We grieve over such blinding of the best Russian people, and please Thee:
Rejoice, patron of sciences and wisdom;
Rejoice, preacher of piety and chastity.
Rejoice, thou who hast granted freedom of speech to the branches;
Rejoice, you have received slander and slander from the new Judas.
Rejoice, Saint Nicholas the Redeemer, calling Rus' to resurrection through Council Repentance.

To save the Russian peoples from hunger and poverty, the merciful Lord, you gave us You, Tsar Nicholas. You have given Your blessing through You, Your Christ, to us generously, great help to the merchant and the people of the trade, so that through abundant trade, without stumbling, they would pursue nature without laziness and for the good of the Church of Christ and the people of the poor, so that in the Russian State the general prosperity would flourish and all its people together Say to God: Hallelujah.
Ikos 10
You have appeared as an indestructible wall of the benefit of Your Fatherland, Sovereign Master of the Russian Land, you have not betrayed its varied wealth for plunder to greedy foreigners, you have unceasing care for the welfare of the Russian people, and especially shown goodwill to those who trade and create. Both of you, instead of God, you began to vigilantly serve mammon, you forgot the Church of God and the poor, and you did not understand the blessings of God from your right hand. For this reason, by God's Permission, the wealth of the unrighteous was lost and destroyed, and the bitter wandering in foreign countries was accepted. We have now come to reason and wish for the prosperity of the Russian Land to the calls of Ti:
Rejoice, enricher of the Russian Power.
Rejoice, generous nourisher of the poor, widows and orphans.
Rejoice, fatherly favor to the rich and poor.
Rejoice, abandoned by everyone in poverty without help.

The shining star, with the Light of Christ’s Love enlightening the darkness of ignorance, ripened, O Holy Crowned One, the tribes and languages found within the Russian Power. Zane, led by her wondrous light, like oxen and shepherds, found the True Faith and the path to salvation. When, through the deception of the devil, they rejected serving You, and thus from serving the True God, in the accursed turmoil and from the enemy of the human race, they accepted division and enmity among themselves, and so to this day we are torn apart by civil strife and the enmity of the devils, having come to the mind of truth and peace in the Fatherland we want to cry out to You:
Rejoice, guiding light of the Faith of Christ.
Rejoice, good shepherd of the peoples of the Russian State.

Singing Thy ineffable Passion, Saint Nicholas the Redeemer, we praise Thee with love, as by the feat of the Cross you were crucified with Christ, offering a fragrant and immaculate burnt offering for the Conciliar sin of Russia on the Ekaterinburg Golgotha. Therefore, like a lamb immaculate for the salvation and future resurrection of Tsarist Rus', it was slain. You have atoned for the insane sin of infidelity of the Russian People and have been clothed with eternal glory in Heaven. Rejoicing in this, we cry out to Ti in tenderness:
Rejoice, likeness of the sacrifice of Christ.
Rejoice, redemption of the conciliar betrayal of the Russian People.
Rejoice, ritually tortured by the malice of the Jews.
Rejoice, forgiving of Your tormentors and murderers.
Rejoice, Saint Nicholas the Redeemer, calling Rus' to resurrection through Council Repentance.

Oh, Holy God-crowned Tsar-Redeemer Nicholas, who truly endured the torment of Calvary for the Orthodox Faith and the conciliar betrayal of Russia at Ekaterinburg Golgotha. You were betrayed by sedition, as the Son of God once was, to reproach and death. On the Russian Golgotha, the Russian people from the curse in this and in the future, with an immaculate sacrifice, redeemed the future resurrection of Rus' with His Christ-like cross. For this sake, accept this repentant prayer of us sinners and unworthy children of Yours. Beg Christ God to forgive Russia the grave sin of trampling on the Council oath of allegiance to the Autocratic Tsars, as they rewarded His Chosen Ones with evil for good and hatred for love. Beg Christ the Lord to change His righteous Wrath to mercy towards Russia. May Holy Rus' rise again in the appearance of the Autocratic Tsar and may the world shine like the sun, teaching everyone to joyfully sing to God: Alleluia. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

Look mercifully at our misfortunes and sufferings and bring us through the Path of Salvation, like Christ, from the abyss of hell, through your omnipotent prayer. Yet we have sinned in the blindness of our madness more than all people on earth: having rejected the King of Heaven and you, the earthly Christ; I despised the Word of God, blasphemed the Anointed of the Lord, trampled on the Holy Calling of God and enslaved Satan to lawlessness. The God-given Pious Council Vow to faithfully serve the Autocratic Tsars from the House of Romanov and the national Oath was boldly broken, and the kiss of the Cross and the Gospel was not What is it worth? To you, the Anointed One of God with your royal wife Alexandra, your children: Tsarevich Alex, Princess Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia, your faithful friends and servants , by Judas' treason you betrayed the sons of the devil to slander, reproach and reproach. For this reason, the Lord will begin to bring apostates into the Mind of Truth with fierce sorrows and you have given Russia under the Jewish yoke. So that the Russian people may know how to reject God and His Anointed One, and listen to the devil and the slander of Satan
O the hellish abyss of our fall. What sin have you not committed from friendship with the dark power, what wickedness have you not committed, what evil have you not thought in your heart! Merciful Lord, have mercy on us! For the sake of the prayers of the Holy King the Redeemer Nicholas, dissolve the petrified sins of our hearts and bring from us, like living water, tears of repentance; may all Russian people hear Your secret Voice, Lord: how can you serve the King of Heaven, even though you have betrayed the King of earth; first produce the worthy fruit of repentance for the sins of your fathers, wash yourself and be cleansed, correct your double-minded hearts, and understand that Russia is without a Tsar, Even a man without a head is a stinking corpse.
For this sake, accept, O Lord, my repentance, and through the prayers of the Holy Tsar the Redeemer Nicholas, save and have mercy on all my relatives and all the people of Russia, Pious One The solemn Vow of 1613 of those who have transgressed and are still transgressing, of everyone who hates and offends us and who does harm to us adversity, and if (if) it is possible, seek, O Lord, the lost souls of our fathers, and brothers, and sisters. Forgive those who unjustly rise up against us and do not leave their souls to perish, but save everyone, as you are Good and Lover of Mankind. Yes, as of old, so now in us and through us, Your All-Holy Name will be glorified: the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, for Yours is the Kingdom and Power and Glory, Honor and Worship, now and forever and in eki centuries. The Righteous Men of God about the Holy Tsar-Redeemer Nicholas II:
Venerable Seraphim (Moshnin), Elder of Sarov (in 1824):
“There will be a Tsar who will glorify me, after which there will be great unrest in Rus', a lot of blood will flow because they will rebel against this Tsar and his Autocracy, the Angels will not have time to take souls, all the rebels will perish, and God will exalt the Tsar...”
Venerable Abel (Vasiliev) Seer of St. Petersburg (in 1800):
“Nicholas the Second is the Holy Tsar, similar to Job the Long-Suffering. He will have the mind of Christ, long-suffering and dovelike purity. He will replace the royal crown with a crown of thorns... He will be a redeemer, he will redeem his people with himself - like a Bloodless Sacrifice. And he will be betrayed... as once the Son of God was crucified... And the Jew will scourge the Russian Land like a scorpion, plunder its shrines, close the churches of God, execute the best Russian people. This is God’s permission, God’s wrath for Russia’s renunciation of its God-anointed One! Or else there will be more! The Angel of the Lord pours out new bowls of tribulation so that people will come to their senses. There will be two wars, one worse than the other. The people are between fire and flame... But they will not be destroyed from the face of the earth, as the prayer of the martyred King prevails upon them!”
Venerable Alexy (Shepelev), Elder of Goloseevsky (in 1916):
“Oh my God, my God! Many traitors surround the Tsar... Much Christian blood will be shed.”
Venerable Elder Korniliy Krypetsky (in 1890):
“We won’t have a Tsar, they will replace him with a bad master. For this, the people will be punished for three generations.”
Venerable Nektariy (Tikhonov), Elder of Optina (in 1917):
“The year 1918 will be even more difficult: the Tsar and his entire Family will be killed and tortured. Yes, this Sovereign will be a great martyr.”
Holy Righteous John (Sergiev) of Kronstadt (in 1903):
“We have a Tsar of righteous and pious life, God sent him a heavy cross of suffering, as His chosen one and beloved child... Like the Equal-to-the-Apostles Tsar Constantine, He holds high and gloriously the banner of the faith of Christ and is wholeheartedly devoted to the King of Kings, deeply honoring His friends - His saints “He sets an example of sincere piety to all Orthodox Christians...”
Venerable Anatoly (Potapov), Elder of Optina (in 1915):
“There is no greater sin than resistance to the will of God’s Anointed One! The fate of the Tsar is the fate of Russia. The Tsar will rejoice, and Russia will rejoice. The Tsar will cry, Russia will cry, and... if there is no Tsar, there will be no Russia. Just as a man with a cut off head is no longer a man, but a stinking corpse, so Russia without a Tsar will be a stinking corpse.”
St. Lavrenty (Proskura), elder of Chernigov (in 1948):
“The Russian people will repent of their mortal sins: they allowed the Jewish wickedness in Russia, they did not protect the Anointed King of God...”
Venerable Kuksha (Velichko) Elder of Odessa (in 1950):
“If you find a gold or silver coin with the image of Emperor Nicholas II somewhere, then insert it into the frame or drill a hole at the top, put it on a chain and wear it like a holy medallion, along with the cross. And if someone tells you that Tsar Nicholas II or one of the members of his Family is alive, don’t believe it - they are all martyrs.”

Prayer to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker - fourth
O our good shepherd and God-wise mentor, Saint Nicholas of Christ! Hear us sinners, praying to you and calling for your speedy intercession for help; see us weak, caught from everywhere, deprived of every good and darkened in mind from cowardice; Try, O servant of God, not to leave us in the captivity of sin, so that we may not joyfully become our enemies and not die in our evil deeds.
Pray for us, unworthy, to our Creator and Master, to whom you stand with disembodied faces: make our God merciful to us in this life and in the future, so that He will not reward us according to our deeds and the impurity of our hearts, but according to His goodness He will reward us .
We trust in your intercession, we boast of your intercession, we call on your intercession for help, and falling to your most holy image, we ask for help: deliver us, servant of Christ, from the evils that come upon us, and tame the waves of passions and troubles that rise up against us, and for the sake of Your holy prayers will not overwhelm us and we will not wallow in the abyss of sin and in the mud of our passions. Pray to Saint Nicholas of Christ, Christ our God, that he may grant us a peaceful life and remission of sins, salvation and great mercy for our souls, now and ever and unto ages of ages.
