Come , O Holy Comforter of the Soul, and dwell in us.

Everlasting memory

Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

Bright Easter words, filled with jubilation, are heard in churches from the first day of Easter until the day of dedication. And this rejoicing is real and deep if it fills the heart with joy and trembling throughout all the holidays. The question arises: how can you preserve this feeling of triumph, how not to lose it in the bustle and worries of life? There is only one answer - to fulfill our ministry for the glory of God, to follow Him, allowing Him to act in us. On Easter days, during divine services, the book of the Acts of the Holy Apostles and fragments from the Gospel are read, where a lot is said about how the Risen Lord revealed Himself to the disciples and they recognized Him in the gospel of love (the breaking of bread, the miraculous catch, the assurance of Thomas, the forgiveness of Peter, etc.) . Likewise, the Risen Christ is revealed to everyone who is able to show love by following His example.

As is known from the Gospel, the first to show love for the Risen One were the myrrh-bearing wives, who hurried to the tomb with incense early in the morning to perform the necessary funeral rites, but became witnesses to the greatest miracle - the Resurrection of Christ. The Gospel reading of Holy Saturday is dedicated to the memory of their feat, in which words about the Resurrection are already heard. This joyful news of the myrrh-bearing women is immediately reported to Peter and the other apostles, and the crying is replaced by general rejoicing. It would seem that what’s wrong with this - sharing joy? But for Peter and the other apostles, this news was an important statement in faith (the fulfillment of the prophecy that the Light entered the world and darkness did not overcome Him). The gospel of love is a burning desire to share joy with others. It was with this desire that our parishioners, after the liturgy on Holy Saturday, visited the children from the Beryozka orphanage in the village of Loza, and on the first day of Easter they met with the residents of the Kurovskoye boarding school. Usually they come to our church for Easter, but the pandemic changed plans. For children from the orphanage, and even more so for people living in the boarding school, the long-awaited meeting and communication is very important, so they were very happy to get this opportunity. Both meetings ended with the presentation of sweet gifts, as well as specially blessed Easter cakes and paints. On Bright Monday, May 3, another joyful meeting took place. On this day, after the liturgy, the parishioners of our church visited the Alekseevskaya hermitage and gave holiday gifts to the residents. On Sunday, May 16, our Sunday school held a children's party. At the end of the Liturgy, a meal and a small concert were organized. Laureate of international competitions Dmitry Naumov (balalaika) came to congratulate the children. Together with accompanist Hiromi Yano (piano), Dmitry performed several works written specifically for children, as well as famous folk songs. The program was designed so that Sunday school students themselves could take part in some of the numbers - they were given noise musical instruments (maracas, rattles, spoons, bells). In the next part of the Easter concert, the Sunday school children themselves performed, as well as their mothers and grandmothers, who played the piano, read poems and sang songs. At the end of the holiday, all children were given Easter gifts.
