  2. Chop the onion. Sprinkle it with table vinegar, add sugar and salt, then leave to steep for 10 minutes.

  3. Squeeze out the marinade.
  4. Cut the herring fillets into small cubes.

  5. Form a salad by placing potatoes, herring, onions and carrots in sequence. Place the beets tightly on top. Soak each layer with mayonnaise.

  1. Cut the cucumbers into small cubes. Squeeze them lightly, draining excess liquid. Transfer to a separate bowl.

  2. Cool the boiled vegetables and remove the peelings. Divide into small cubes. Transfer to cucumbers.

  3. Drain the can of peas. Transfer the contents to the main mass.

  4. Chop the onion. Add them to the mass.
  5. Cut honey mushrooms and add them to the salad.
  6. Pour in vegetable oil and mix everything.

  • You can find soy meat on sale in many supermarkets. It is a source of amino acids, tastes like real meat, and is not prohibited during fasting. They can replace chicken, turkey, pork or beef in your favorite salads. If the recipe calls for the meat to be heavily minced, you will hardly notice the difference.

It is customary to prepare a Korean snack strictly from fresh and non-bony fish, which becomes edible without heat treatment, due to marinating. To prepare heh according to the classic recipe, prepare the following ingredients:

  • fish, recommended pink salmon steak – 1 pc.;
  • onion – 1 head;
  • water – 1 glass;
  • table vinegar - 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • salt, soy sauce, red pepper - to taste;

The Korean snack is prepared like this:

  1. Divide the fish into small pieces and place them in a separate container.

  2. Season with salt, soy sauce and red pepper. Mix everything carefully. If necessary, add special fish spices.
  3. Dilute the vinegar in water. Mix the liquid. Then pour it into the fish.

  4. Finely chop the onion. Add to the main mass. Mix everything.

The dish is almost ready. Place it in the refrigerator to marinate for 3-4 hours, preferably a day, after which it can be served to guests. You can decorate it with a slice of lemon, as well as chopped fresh herbs, recommended parsley or cilantro. The spiciness of the dish depends on the red pepper. Herring appetizer

What you will need: lightly salted herring, carrots, cucumber, bell pepper, dill and onion, a packet of gelatin, half a glass of water, a couple of spoons of homemade mayonnaise.

How to cook:

Remove the fish from skin, bones, head and fins. Boil carrots. Cut into small pieces. Chop the greens. Peel the peppers and cut into plastic pieces. Make straws out of cucumber. Dissolve gelatin in water, and then, when it cools, add mayonnaise. Mix well. Add carrots, onions, and dill to this mixture. Mix. Wait until it hardens a little.

Then put the herring on cling film, and on top of it some carrots, onions, dill in gelatin. Place cucumber strips on top. On top are again vegetables in gelatin. And again a cucumber. Wrap well. Place in the refrigerator for 6-7 hours. Then remove from the film and cut. Place beautifully on a platter and sprinkle with chopped herbs.

What you will need: several pieces of bread, 100 g of tofu, a couple of spoons of canned beans, a couple of spoons of olives, a small cucumber, a clove of garlic, sunflower oil, salt.

How to cook:

Toast the bread pieces. Chop the garlic and spread the mixture well on the bread. Drizzle oil. Chop the tofu and cucumber into small pieces. Place olives, tofu, beans, cucumber, and bread on a skewer one by one.

  4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

Once it thickens, remove the pan from the heat and pour into ramekins or one large pan. Refrigerate for at least four hours. Cut the finished marmalade into pieces.

  • sea ​​fish fillet – 500-600 g;
  • potatoes – 500-600 g;
  • carrots – 1 pc.;
  • onions – 2 heads;
  • vegetable-based mayonnaise – 120-150 g;
  • vegetable oil, salt, allspice - to taste.

A step-by-step recipe for making baked potatoes with fish looks like this:

  1. Rinse the fillet thoroughly, salt and pepper it and leave to steep for 3-5 minutes. Cut into small pieces.

  2. Chop the onion. Pour boiling water over it so that it does not taste bitter.
  3. Pass the carrots through a fine grater.

  4. Divide the potatoes into circles, the thinner they are, the better.

  5. Start shaping the dish. First, grease the mold with vegetable oil, then place the onions and carrots on it, then the fish. Lubricate it lightly with vegetable-based mayonnaise.

  6. Carefully place the next layer of potatoes. Salt, pepper and grease with mayonnaise.

A vegetable dish can be served as a hot dish; it is nourishing, tasty and goes well with salads and appetizers. It is better to stew it in pots, as it will turn out more tender and healthier than when frying or stewing in a frying pan. To prepare the stew you will need:

  • eggplant - 2-3 pcs.;
  • zucchini – 1 pc. medium size;
  • carrots 1-2 pcs.;
  • pepper, Bulgarian recommended – 2-3 pcs.;
  • potatoes – 3-4 pcs.;
  • tomato – 2-3 pcs.;
  • onions 1-1.5 pcs.;
  • vegetable broth – 100 ml;
  • olive oil – 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • olive oil – 2 teaspoons;
  • sugar, salt, pepper - to taste.

With this amount of ingredients you can prepare a dish for 6-8 people. It is quite suitable for serving as a hot dish for celebrating the New Year in a small company. The vegetable stew is prepared as follows:

  1. Peel the onion and chop it.

  2. Remove the skins from eggplants and zucchini. Remove the stems from the pulp. Cut the vegetables into thin strips.

  3. Remove the core from the pepper. Divide into large pieces with a sharp knife. If it is small in size, you can divide it in half or into 4 parts.

  4. Pass the carrots through a coarse grater.

  5. Remove the peel from the tomato. To prepare this recipe, you only need the pulp. To make this easier, first make a small cut on the vegetable and pour boiling water over it, then throw it in cold water for 30 seconds. Divide the remaining pulp into small slices.
  6. Heat the pan over high heat. Fry onions, zucchini and eggplants in olive oil. Salt and pepper the vegetables to taste. Once ready, place them in pots.

  7. Do the same with tomatoes and bell peppers.
  8. Remove the skins from the potatoes. Cut into small cubes and fry. Add to the pot.

  9. Transfer the carrots to the main mass. Sweeten the entire consistency, add salt and pepper, and pour in vegetable broth.


All the main steps for preparing vegetable stew have been completed. Now place the container in the oven and bake the dish at a temperature of 180-200 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Then cover the pots with a lid and leave to steep for another 30 minutes. Serve warm to guests.

Seafood is a good alternative to dishes that do not contain live protein. The second dish for the New Year's table can be stuffed squid. To prepare them you need the following ingredients:

  • fresh or frozen squid – 2 pcs.;
  • onions - 1-1.5 pcs.;
  • carrots – 1-2 pcs.;
  • frozen champignons – 3-4 pcs.;
  • parsley – 1 bunch;
  • wheat flour – 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • vegetable oil – 1-2 tbsp. spoons;
  • salt and pepper - to taste.


A step-by-step recipe for preparing a hot dish looks like this:

  1. Separate the vegetables from inedible particles, rinse them and divide them into small cubes. Fry the onion separately in a small amount of oil until golden brown. Then add carrots to it and simmer until they become soft.

  2. Clean the mushrooms using a special kitchen brush. Chop them finely. Add to the vegetables and continue to simmer for another 3-4 minutes.

  3. Free the squid from tentacles, entrails and film. Rinse them with running water and clean them. Finely chop the tentacles, add to the vegetables and simmer for another 1 minute.

  4. Finely chop the parsley. Add to the contents, then salt and pepper it. Leave to cool on the stove.
  5. Using a teaspoon, fill the squid with the vegetable filling and roll each one in a small amount of flour so that the edges are lightly dusted. Connect the edges of the squid with skewers.

  6. Fry in a hot frying pan with a little oil on both sides until golden brown.

  7. Place the stuffed squid carcasses on a baking sheet or baking dish so that they do not touch each other. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and let the seafood cook for another 5-7 minutes. You can wrap each of them in foil to make the dish tender and juicy.

Once the dish has cooled slightly, carefully remove the skewers that were used to seal the edges of the squid. Serve warm. Additionally, you can make small cuts on the squid carcass to make the dish look even prettier.

Cabbage cutlets


An excellent solution for preparing a hearty lean dish for the main course is cabbage and bean cutlets. To prepare them you will need the following products:

  • white cabbage – ½ cabbage;
  • beans – 500-600 g;
  • tomato – 4 pcs.;
  • garlic = 3-4 cloves;
  • walnuts – 150-200 g;
  • nutmeg - on the tip of a knife, optional;
  • salt and pepper to taste:
  • vegetable oil for frying.

If you don’t have tomatoes or don’t want to use them, you can replace them with 2 tbsp. spoons of tomato paste. The process of preparing lean cutlets looks like this:

  1. Soak the beans in the evening so that by the time they are cooked, they have time to be well filled with water. It is permissible to use only cold liquid for this purpose. First, free it from excess debris and unnecessary particles.

  2. After soaking, drain the water, transfer the contents to the pan, add again and cook over medium heat for about an hour until it reaches a crumbly state. Beans absorb liquid well, so constantly monitor the water level, as it will quickly boil away.
  3. Drain the liquid. Process the product with a blender, masher or fork to obtain a homogeneous paste.

  4. Chop the cabbage into pieces of arbitrary shape. Blanch it for 3-5 minutes. Then place in a colander to drain the water from the cooled vegetable and chop finely.

  5. Combine cabbage and beans, stir. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Chop the garlic cloves. Fry it in a small amount of vegetable oil. Remove it from the container and add it to the total mass.
  7. In the same oil, fry the chopped tomato pulp, previously freed from the peel, for 5 minutes. Add salt, pepper, mix everything. Additionally, you can add bay leaf, but do not forget to remove it after cooking.

  8. Combine all ingredients except tomatoes (they are needed for gravy), add chopped nuts. Form cutlets from the resulting minced meat. Fry them on both sides until golden brown.


Even though this dish does not contain flour or eggs, they hold together very well and do not fall apart. Additionally, you can add greens to the minced meat to improve the taste and aroma. If you use tomato paste instead of tomatoes, first dilute it in 1 glass of water and simmer with spices. It is also fashionable to use it as a gravy for stewing cutlets.

Christmas post 2021 2019 dates

In 2021, the Christmas Eve celebration begins on Wednesday 28 November. The sacrament lasts 40 days. The start and end date of a post is always fixed and never changes, unlike many posts. The great celebration ends on the night of Christmas Eve, January 6, 2019. The date repeats from year to year, so no changes are expected in 2021 and the fast will begin on Thursday, November 28, 2019, and will end on January 6, 2021, on Monday. Do not forget to receive communion from the rector of the church before entering the fast.

Apple Pie


On New Year's Eve you can't do without a delicious dessert to serve with tea or coffee. A Lenten dish can include apple pie made without eggs. To create it you will need:

  • wheat flour -250-300 g;
  • apple – 1-2 pcs.;
  • granulated sugar – 150-200 g;
  • apple cider vinegar – 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • vegetable oil – 1.5 tbsp. spoons;
  • orange juice – 150 g;
  • salt – 1 pinch;
  • soda – 1 pinch;
  • breadcrumbs for dusting;
  • some water.

Instead of apple cider vinegar, you can use wine vinegar. To prepare a delicate Lenten dessert, you need to do the following:

  1. Turn on the oven and set it to 180 degrees. While you are preparing the dough, let it warm up.

  2. Combine oil with vinegar, sugar, salt and orange juice. Beat the contents thoroughly with a blender or mixer until you obtain a homogeneous consistency.
  3. Pass the flour through a sieve. Combine with the main mass.
  4. Add baking soda and stir. The mixture should begin to bubble and rise slightly.

  5. Since there are no eggs in the recipe, the mixture will be liquid. Spread the breadcrumbs evenly over the baking dish, then lay out half the dough, add the apples, cut into slices, and cover them with the other half of the dough.

  6. Bake for 1 hour. It should be covered with a golden crust.


After finishing cooking, do not rush to take out the dish. Let it simmer in the equipment for 30-35 minutes. Once ready, you can decorate it with powdered sugar. This dish is suitable for vegetarians and those who follow a healthy diet.

During cooking, do not open the oven door to check the readiness of the dish. Do this only through transparent glass, otherwise the dough will not rise well.

Lenten pancakes


It is a mistake to think that pancakes are fluffy only if you cook them from eggs and dairy products. They will turn out no less voluminous without containing animal proteins. To prepare a delicious dessert you will need:

  • water – 150-200 ml;
  • vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • granulated sugar - 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • dry yeast – 10 packets;
  • salt – 1 teaspoon;
  • wheat flour - 4 tbsp. spoons.

To prepare hearty, delicious pancakes, you need to prepare them in accordance with the following step-by-step recipe:

  1. Boil water, which will subsequently need to be cooled to 40 degrees.

  2. Dissolve granulated sugar, yeast, salt and vegetable oil in it. Mix everything thoroughly.
  3. Sift the flour through a sieve and add it to the general consistency. The dough should turn out lazy - slide off the spoon very slowly.

  4. Leave it to steep for 30-60 minutes. If you plan to cook, it is better to place the container with it near the stove so that it has time to rise well. Cover it with a thick towel.

  5. Now you can start preparing the pancakes. Separate from the total mass as much dough as is enough to prepare one pancake. Fry it on both sides until golden brown.


The lush delicacy is ready. Serve it warm with tea or coffee. Can be used with sweet jam or preserves. The more the dough is infused, the more voluminous the culinary delight will be. It is recommended to fry in a hot frying pan with the addition of vegetable oil.

Is it possible to baptize a child during the Advent Fast?

With the baptism of a child, there is one more Orthodox Christian in the world. Having become a member of the church, a little person can participate in various services, canons, and rituals. There is no church ban on the baptism of a child during the Nativity Fast in any Orthodox monastery. Parents can register their child for the sacrament on one of the days of fasting, having agreed with the rector of the chosen church.
