Saint Irinarchus spent sleepless nights in seclusion.

Prayer O great servant of Christ, voluntary sufferer, new-brightened miracles, Our Father Irinarsha, fertilizer of the Russian land, praise to the city of Rostov, great adornment and affirmation of this monastery! Who would not be surprised at your spontaneous and long-term suffering patience: For thirty more years you confined yourself in a cramped and cold hut, you suffered coldness, greed and exhaustion of the flesh of the Kingdom for the sake of the Heavenly Kingdom, and to this end you also endured expulsion from the monastery, due to the obsession of the enemy, without a murmur.

We know that in the midst you were begged by the brethren, like a gentle lamb, that you returned to your monastery and settled in that hut, like hard adamant, arming yourself with patience against the invisible demonic hordes and your visible enemies. When, by God's permission, you came to this monastery with the desires of the warriors, you were not afraid of mortal punishment, but, being wise in your words, you returned to your own place.

Rejoice, valiant sufferer and conqueror of demons, Rejoice, our quick helper and warm prayer book towards God. Hear us sinners too, praying to you and running under your roof: show your merciful intercession for us to the Almighty and intercede with your God-pleasing prayers everything useful for the salvation of our souls and bodies, preserve this holy monastery, every city and the whole and every Christian country from all the slander of the enemy, in our sorrows and illnesses give us a helping hand, so that through your intercession and intercession, by the grace and mercy of Christ our God, we too will be delivered from our unworthiness, after departing from this life, of this standing, and may we be worthy of the right hand with all the saints forever and ever. Amen.

One of the proven ways is to turn to Saint Irinarch. You can take the prayer from any canonical collection of prayers. You can also turn to Irinarch in your own words, ask the saint to help you calm down, pull yourself together and finally fall asleep. They say that praying to this saint also helps with severe headaches.

It is known that Saint Irinarch lived in the 16th century in Rostov the Great and was an ascetic and recluse. The monk prayed all day long, and slept very little, two to three hours a day. During his lifetime, he received the gift of miracles, healing the sick and sleepless.

In order to better concentrate on prayer, purchase an image of the Venerable Irinarch from the church, as well as church candles. In the evening, before going to bed, light a candle and pray in front of the image, this will help you concentrate on prayer, calm down, tune in to peace and ultimately get the best result: deep, restful sleep.

Finally, don’t forget to thank the saint for your help!

The time it takes for the situation to improve may vary from person to person, but usually only two or three evenings are enough. To ensure that your sleep improves, evening prayer should become a habit.

It doesn’t take much time, but it has a wonderful effect on the psyche - you feel help from the Higher World, you calm down and begin to completely trust God and his Saints.

Miracle

One day the youngest of the friends was getting ready to go to the city to buy bread. He changed his clothes, exchanged his usual clothes for rags and hit the road. He came to the city and heard that local authorities had been looking for all of them for a long time to bring them to justice. Seven young men came out of their hiding place and voluntarily surrendered to the local authorities. The punishment was severe: to wall them up in the very cave where they were hiding. Their punishment was to die of hunger and thirst. But by the will of God, the young people did not die, but fell asleep, and slept for two hundred years exactly until the owner of the land on which the cave was located discovered it and opened the entrance. Then the Lord woke up the young people, they woke up and went out into the world, but they did not know that they had slept for two hundred years. Since then, those places have become holy, and the rumor about the miraculous youths has spread throughout the world.
