Where was Jesus Christ born - the story of the earthly life of the Son of God

Description of the home of Jesus Christ

A small stone building, approximately 32 square meters in size, with a thatched roof over it. The house was filled with light by two small windows; a sheep's bubble stretched over them acted as glass, protecting the interior space from bad weather.

The wide eight-meter wall had a door at its base. It was almost always ajar, due to the stove smoke coming out of the house, because the room was heated in black. The stove itself decorated the left corner of the house, the one closer to the exit. The far left corner was intended for cattle. There, near the stove, newborn animals huddled. They stayed close to people until they grew up and gained the strength to stay on the pasture independently.

An impressive size bed made of wood was located on the right side of the door. The center of the room was marked by two tables. The first was moved to the wall and served the owners for dishes, the second was considered a dining room, complemented by benches on both sides. This house did not have a rich interior furnishings, as evidenced by the straw on its bed, which served as bed linen. Here, Maria was overtaken by an unexpected birth.

Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ

On the eve of the Jewish Passover, Jesus Christ and his closest disciples (apostles) gathered for the Last Supper. Here the Savior established the most important Sacrament, without which it is impossible to inherit the Kingdom of God. This is the Sacrament of the Eucharist (Communion).

On this night, Christ faced betrayal from one of the apostles, Judas Iscariot. Christ voluntarily endured humiliation, interrogation and martyrdom on the cross. Thus, the sinless God, for the salvation of all mankind, took upon himself the most severe suffering and was crucified along with two robbers. For Christians, the death and subsequent Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the beginning of eternal life and the opportunity to gain the Kingdom of Heaven.

After the Resurrection, the Savior repeatedly appeared to His disciples, proving the reality of His victory over death. Christ strengthened the apostles in their faith and encouraged them to further preach the Gospel. On the 40th day after the Resurrection, Jesus Christ again came to the disciples, called upon them the grace of the Holy Spirit and ascended to His Heavenly Father.

Childbirth

A tense atmosphere reigned for three days. All this time, the expectant mother was balancing on the edge, between life and death. There was no confidence that the baby could survive. Geloma and Salome, grandmothers and midwives, fought for the boy’s life, which led to his salvation. So, on January 7, at four o’clock in the morning, the cries of a newborn child were finally heard from the house.

Despite the miracle of birth, the child was unusually weak and small, his weight did not reach two kilograms. The midwives who attended the birth, using the power of the herbs they collected, prepared an infusion with which they smeared the boy. The action continued by wrapping the child in sheep's clothing, so that only the small face of Jesus was visible.

Coming into this world, every human soul already knows how its life will go. Walking along the road of life, you need to remember about the choice; the direction of the path subsequently depends on it. That's why they say life is many roads. However, the soul of the savior saw the entire path ahead. The inevitability of consequences in the form of suffering and humiliation forced the soul to resist rebirth in this body. Hence the difficult birth, pain and weakness of the boy.

King David and Absalom

Absalom
David had a son, Absalom. As it is written in the Bible, he was very handsome and crept into the hearts of the Israelites because he wanted to become a king. But the father, instead of fighting his son Absalom, simply left. Although David's army was quite strong. And so the son ascended to the throne, and David wandered like a bird pursued by hunters. The Bible says his soldiers went with him. When David ran out of food, there were people who helped him.

(2 Samuel 17:27-29)

When David came to Mahanaim, Sobi the son of Nahash from Rabbah of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel from Lodabar, and Barzillai the Gileadite from Roglim, brought beds, dishes, and earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and flour, and millet. , and beans, and lentils, and roasted grains, and honey, and butter, and sheep, and cow's cheese, they brought to David and the people who were with him for food; for they said, The people are hungry and weary, and thirsty in the wilderness.

Barzillai the Gileadite

Barzillai the Gileadite is an important character here. Gilead is what is now Jordan. Barzillius was very kind and generous. Although David was no longer a king and was not popular. Everything was falling apart and going wrong. It is in such situations that true friends are made. These people came to David's aid and brought all this goodness. David did not forget about this.

David's son, Absalom, dies. David takes the throne again. And so David goes to Jerusalem and Barzillai came from Roglim and crossed the Jordan with the king.

(2 Samuel 19:31-40)

Barzillai was a very rich man, and he supplied David all the time he was away in Jerusalem. David valued Barzillai very much and wanted to take him with him to Jerusalem. But Barzillai was already old and refused to go with David, but invited David to take his son Kimham. And when David was on his deathbed, he gave some instructions to his son Solomon, the wise king. The only people David spoke well of were the sons of Barzillai.

Why is it believed that Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem?

The New Testament describes the story of the birth of Christ differently. The Roman Empire in those days underwent a population census, by order of Augustus, who ruled it. The process of collecting information was carried out approximately like this: the man, as the head, brought his family to the city where he was born. It was there that they all registered. Joseph's hometown was Bethlehem, which forced him to take his pregnant wife and head there.

The Bethlehem inns were full, and the family spent the night in what looked like a stable. The birth took place there. Afterwards, Maria swaddled her son and put him in the cradle.

This is supposedly the true story, from which many believe that Bethlehem is the place where Jesus Christ was born. The question arises: why is it so radically different from the true one?

The answer is simple. A complete distortion of history was introduced during the census of the Gospel in 325. Then the Romans were faced with an important question, to which a completely logical and reliable answer was needed. If Jesus was the son of God, why and most importantly, why was he crucified, and by the Romans themselves?

The cunning people, in order to justify themselves, decided to blame the Jews. As a result, the rewritten history gave a clear idea: the Savior was crucified only because of his involvement in the royal family, and not at all for preaching a new faith.

It turns out that Jesus was a victim of the Jewish people, who betrayed him and condemned him to death. And the Romans are just forced accomplices. For this reason, evidence was needed that the new mission had plans for the royal throne. This was not difficult to do by correcting the Gospels and adding new alleged relatives of Christ, which automatically equated him to the royal family.

This legend is just an invention of Roman clergy.

The truth is that Jesus Christ did not have royal roots, he was born into an ordinary family and did not think of becoming a King.

Birthplace of Christ

Authors and adherents of the Bible consider the city of Bethlehem, located a few kilometers south of Jerusalem, to be the birthplace of Jesus Christ. Being one of the oldest cities in the world, Bethlehem was founded around the 17th century BC. At first the Canaanites lived there, and later the Jews.

Modern Bethlehem is predominantly inhabited by Palestinians, but the city's Christian community is one of the oldest in the world.

Scientists find it difficult to determine the exact date of birth of Jesus. Protestants and Catholics believe that Christ was born on December 25, and Orthodox Christians celebrate his birth on the night of January 6-7. Almost immediately after his birth, Joseph and Mary took Jesus to Egypt for a while. Jesus spent the bulk of his life in Nazareth, located north of Jerusalem.

Mary, the mother of Christ, and her husband Joseph were residents of Nazareth, a small village in Galilee. These lands were once conquered by the Romans. And so the ruler of Rome, Augustus, once ordered a census of the population in the lands under his control. Every Jew was ordered to appear in his hometown and enroll there.

Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem, where all the representatives of their family were assigned. The city was filled with people, so the wanderers could not find shelter in it. The day was approaching evening when Joseph and Mary, who was expecting a child, found a cave where local shepherds hid their cattle during inclement times. That night, in this cave, a child was born, who was destined to become the ruler of human thoughts for the next two millennia.

David's Hotel - Kimgama Hotel

(Jer 41:17)

And they went and stopped in the village of Himam, near Bethlehem, to go to Egypt.

It says that there was an evil man named Ishmael who was a murderer. He kidnapped children, women, eunuchs. And there was a man named Joanan (today they would call him John - grace). He chased after him and freed everyone. And that evil man disappeared. Johanan and those people stopped in the village of Himam, near Bethlehem. That is, in the Bible there is a mention of that hotel called the Kimgam hotel.

So David has a house, which he received from Jesse, his father. It was there that the prophet Samuel came to anoint David. This house was inherited from Obed, from Boaz. Boaz's mother was Rohab, a former harlot from Jericho. Some people say, "If a bird's wing is broken, it will never be able to fly as high as before." This is a worldly theory. And God says: “I don’t care what your background is. If you believe in Me, you will fly high.” Thanks God!

Star of Bethlehem or Parade of Planets

At different times, there were different theories about the origin and nature of the Star of Bethlehem, so four main ones can be distinguished:

Explanation #1. Parade of planets. Astronomers believe that the Star of Bethlehem may have been a very real event. The triple parade of planets—Jupiter, Venus and Earth—and the Sun, when lined up, could create a visual effect very similar to a long-tailed star.

Explanation #2. Supernova explosion. There are records made by stargazers in the Far East about a new star that lit up in the small constellation Aquila in the northern sky in 4 BC.

Explanation #3. The tail of a comet. Professor David Hughes, astronomer at the University of Sheffield, said: “Although comets look like extremely impressive and beautiful celestial bodies from Earth, they are actually 'big, dirty snowballs' hurtling through space.

Explanation #4. It was the planet Uranus. In 1979, Greek astronomer George Banos proposed another theory. He suggested that the Christmas star might actually be the planet Uranus. Banos believes that the Magi discovered this planet 1,800 years earlier than astronomer William Herschel, who first described its discovery in 1781.

(Isaiah 9:6-7) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given

God's Son, Jesus, has always existed with God. He is forever God.

Jesus was born as a Child. But as a Son he cannot be born - because he has always existed. That is why the Bible says very precisely: a child was born, and like a Son was given.

Dominion is upon His shoulder, and His name will be called Wonderful—worker of miracles, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. There is no limit to the increase of His majesty and peace.

(Bow 2: 8)

The shepherds heard great joy about the Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And here is a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

Why did the Angel tell the shepherds that the baby in swaddling clothes would be a sign?
