Psalm of David 58 in Russian and Church Slavonic languages

King David suffered the unenviable fate of an exile. As a young man, he was anointed king to lead the people of Israel. But King Saul of Jerusalem found out about this and began to be extremely jealous of the shepherd. As a result, he took up arms against the young man, forcing the latter to wander and survive alone. But Saul did not know that God was always with David, who protected the future ruler and guided him on the true path. Psalm 58 is dedicated to one of these moments, when the fugitive prayed to the Lord for protection and the triumph of justice.

Text of prayer Psalm 58

In Church Slavonic

In the end, let him not corrupt, David in the pillars of the pillar, Saul was always the ambassador, and he was the watchman to put him to death.

1 Deliver me from my enemies, O God, and deliver me from those who rise up against me.

2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity and save me from the bloodshed.

3 For behold, having caught my soul, the mighty ones have attacked me, lower is my iniquity, lower is my sin, O Lord.

4 Having flown without iniquity and corrected it, arise to meet me and see.

5 And thou, O Lord God of hosts, God of Israel, seek to visit all nations, that thou mayest not show mercy to all the workers of iniquity.

6 They will return in the evening and will hunger like a dog and will go through the city.

7 They speak with their lips, and the sword is in their mouth, for who can hear?

8 And You, O Lord, make fun of them, and make all tongues abase.

9 I will preserve my power towards You, for You, O God, are my Protector.

10 My God, His mercy will go before me; my God will show me in all my adversities.

11 Do not kill them, lest when they forget Your law, I will scatter Your power and bring it down, O Lord, my Protector.

12 Let the sin of their lips be the word of their mouths, and let them be in their pride, and let them be proclaimed in their death by oaths and lies.

13 In wrath they will die, and they will not, but they will make it known that God rules over Jacob and the ends of the earth.

14 They will return in the evening, and will hunger like a dog, and will go through the city.

15 And the food will be served. Or if they are not satisfied, they will grumble.

16 But I will sing of Thy power and rejoice in the morning because of Thy mercy, for Thou art my Protector and my Refuge in the day of my tribulation.

17 Thou art my Helper, I sing unto Thee: For Thou art my God, my Protector, O my God, my mercy.

In Russian

For execution. Don't destroy it. David, for the inscription on the pillar; when Saul sent and kept watch over his house to kill him.

1 Deliver me from my enemies, O God, and redeem me from those who rise up against me;

2 pluck me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloodthirsty men.

3 For behold, the mighty ones have seized my soul and laid hold on me, not because of my iniquity, not because of my sin, O Lord;

4 Having committed no iniquity, I ran and directed my path; rise up to meet me and look!

5 And thou, O Lord God of hosts, God of Israel, make haste to visit all nations, and have no pity on all the workers of iniquity.

6 They will return in the evening and, hungry as a dog, will go around the city.

7 Behold, they will rant with their lips, and the sword will be in their mouth, for they think, “Who will hear us?”

8 And You, O Lord, will ridicule them; You will count all nations as nothing.

9 I will keep my strength with You, for You are my God.

10 My God, His mercy will soon meet me; my God will show it to me among my enemies.

11 Do not kill them, lest they forget Your law; scatter them by Your power and overthrow them, my protector, O Lord.

12 The sin of their mouth is the word of their tongue. And let them be captured in their pride, and for the curse and lies they will receive the news of their death.

13 Their end will be in wrath, and they will be no more, and they will know that God rules over Jacob and the ends of the earth.

14 They will return in the evening and, hungry as a dog, will go around the city.

15 They will scatter to eat, but if they are not satisfied, they will complain.

16 And I will sing in Your power and rejoice in the morning about Your mercy, for You have become my intercessor and refuge in the day of my tribulation.

17 My Helper, I will sing to You, for God is my Protector - You, my God, my mercy.

The best psalms that remove damage

A complete list of psalms that deliver from the evil eye and damage can be easily obtained from a priest. He will tell you what to read from the negative, in addition to ordinary prayers, the Bible. According to experts, there are eight best psalms against an evil look.

Psalm 49 from corruption and sorcerers

Among the psalms from sorcerers, number 49 stands out. The exact text is available in the psalter. A free translation is widely available:

“He has announced, the God of Gods, the Most High, is calling the world from east to west. The Lord appears from Zion, the pinnacle of beauty, without being silent, fire before him, a storm around him. Calls heaven and earth, the people will judge. The saints are called upon to enter into a covenant through sacrifice. The heavens will proclaim the truth, because God is the judge. The people will listen, the Almighty will speak. He will testify against the unrighteous, not for the sacrifices that are always before him, for sins. The Lord does not desire the sinner's house or livestock. If God wished, he would have taken it from the universe, for his kingdom is earth. Only praise must be sacrificed, prayer offered, called upon in sorrows. The Almighty says to the sinner: “It is not right to preach My covenant with your mouth, hating Me, committing atrocities, covering up and slandering. No matter what you do, God remains silent, but He will expose you and show you your sins. Know, you who do not remember God, forgiveness will only be given to those who are faithful, who make sacrifices, and who offer prayers.”

Important! It should be remembered that Christianity officially denies the existence of witchcraft and condemns superstition.

Psalm 53 from the evil eye

Despite its brevity, the text of Psalm No. 53 protects against the evil eye along with the rest. Available text translation:

“Lord, save me in your name, judge me with your power! Hear my prayer, Lord, listen to my words, strangers have risen up against me and are encroaching on my soul, there is no God before them. Behold, my helper, the true God, strengthens my spirit. He will reward his enemies for their evil, and with his truth he will destroy them. I will offer a sacrifice pleasing to You, I will glorify the name of God, for it is good. God delivered me from all troubles and I looked at the defeated enemies.”

Psalm 58, removing any damage

The next protective text is an appeal for divine help and protection. The believer calls on the Lord. The Old Church Slavonic version is available in the psalter.

“Lord, protect me from enemies! Protect me from the rebels, deliver me from the lawless and bloodthirsty, for they lie in wait for my soul. The mighty are gathering against me, the innocent one who has done no evil, the sinless one. See, hear, help, Lord of Israel, rise to visit the nations, be merciless to the wicked. In the evenings they howl like dogs, they walk around the cities, they spew blasphemies, enmity is in their tongues. But you, O God, laugh at them and put the nations to shame. God, the intercessor, will save me and have mercy. He will not kill, but will overthrow his enemies and make an example for the people. Let them know that God owns the world. Let them howl and roam at night, but I will sing of Your power. You are my protection!

Important! The most effective combinations of reading texts, prayers, and daily church attendance.

Psalm 63 from corruption

The following version of the psalm is suitable for people who are aware of the deliberate infliction of harm by ill-wishers:

“Hear my praying voice, Lord! Save my life from fear of the enemy. Protect from the uprisings of villains, the plans of ill-wishers, who sharpened their tongues like a sword, turned a caustic word into a bow, and secretly planned to shoot at the innocent. They surprise you unexpectedly without being ashamed. Their evil intention is strong and hidden. They look for untruth in the depths of someone else’s heart, looking for something to discredit. May the Lord strike them down with an arrow - they will destroy themselves, and the allies, seeing this, will move away. People will be afraid and talk about God’s work, they will understand that this is his work. The righteous will rejoice and trust in God. All who have truth in their hearts will be praised.”

Psalm 90 from corruption

The text of Psalm No. 90 is a request for help, while at the same time assuring the righteous person of complete safety as long as the person adheres to the right path:

“He who lives under the roof of the Lord, who rests under the shadow of the Most High, says to God: “My protection, my refuge, my God, in whom I trust!” The Almighty will deliver you from the snares and deadly plagues; He will cover you with the feathers of His wings; you will be safe under them. Shield, fence - divine truth. Do not be afraid of the horrors of the night, the arrows of the day, or the deadly diseases. Many will fall nearby, but will not come closer; with your eyes you will see the fall of sinners. After all, it is said: “Trust in God.” You have chosen the Most High as your refuge, evil will not happen to you, illness will not come closer. The Lord ordered the angels to guard you in all matters. They will carry you in their arms, they will not let you trip over a stone, you will not step on a snake, you will defeat lions and dragons. “Because you chose me, I will protect you, I will deliver you, because he knew my name. When he calls, I will hear, I will support you in grief, I will extend your days, I will show you My salvation.”

Psalm 96, so that witchcraft will leave people

Glorifying the Almighty, the text of Psalm No. 96 affirms the glory and power of God, calling to rejoice at His appearance:

“God reigns; the earth and many islands rejoice. There is darkness, a cloud around Him, the throne stands on truth and judgment. The fire will pass before Him, go around, and burn all enemies. Lightning illuminated the universe, the earth shook when it saw. The mountains melted like wax from the presence of God, the God of the whole earth. Heaven proclaimed the truth of God, the nations saw its glory. Let those who pray to idols be ashamed, let those who boast about idols, worship the True God. Zion rejoiced when it heard the daughters of Judah rejoice because of the judgments of the Lord. After all, You are higher than the earth, exalted above the gods. Let those who love God hate evil, protect the souls of saints, and protect them from sinful hands. The light of the righteous shines, cheerfully the righteous hearts. Rejoice, tell about God, about His Holiness.”

Jerusalem is a city merged into one, where the tribes of the Lord come to glorify the name of God. There are thrones of judgment, houses of David. Ask for peace to Jerusalem - may those who love you receive prosperity. Within your walls there will only be peace, and within your palaces there will be prosperity. For the sake of all my neighbors I say “peace be with you,” for the sake of God’s house, I wish you all the best.”

History of writing

When the shepherd David was crowned king by the Lord, this enraged the then reigning king Saul. He saw David as a threat and a rival, so he sent soldiers to look for him so that they would not only catch the young man, but kill him. The entire text of Psalm 58 is saturated with bitterness and fear, petitions and pleas for salvation. Despite multiple sins and compliance with God's laws, the Lord does not turn away from the Jewish people, but does not leave King Saul, in whom the worst traits of the Israelites were embodied, unpunished.

David fled home to hide from Saul and his robbers. Only God's mercy saved David's life. Michal's wife helped the young king hide - escape through the window and break away from the killers. The young man’s prayers were heard, the Lord helped David to escape and kept him unharmed during this terrible time.
