For Orthodox believers, concepts such as soul and holy spirit are very important, but in different teachings and religions these concepts are ambiguous. Our article will help you understand in more detail what these terms are and what the difference between them is.
How does the spirit affect a person?
The soul is the temple of the Living God, in which the Holy Spirit lives. The Creator did not grant such an honor to be called God's temple to any Angel.
At baptism, the spirit of God settles in a person, which during life can be supplanted by other forces. This is only possible if the person himself opens the doors of evil spirits, polluting his temple.
The spiritual component is the highest side of people's lives
Despite the fact that the Lord fills a person with the spiritual component, she independently chooses spiritual filling. This is freedom of choice. The Creator does not create robots, He sculpts others like Himself.
The spiritual component is the highest side of people’s lives; it is given the power to attract a person from visible things to the invisible knowledge of the grace of God, to separate the eternal from the temporary.
The spirit is that component of man that separates us from animals. The creatures created by God do not have spiritual filling.
The spiritual is inseparable from the spiritual; it is the highest side, the essence. A person does not have such feelings with which one can cognize spiritual fulfillment. The Holy Fathers emphasize that the spirit is the human mind, and from it comes the rational principle.
Important! The spirit of a person cannot be seen or comprehended, but a spiritual person filled with the Divine essence can be seen immediately by his emotions, deeds and love for the world around him.
The human spirit is filled with perfection only when united with God's Holy Spirit.
In the letter of St. Theophan the Recluse, we find that spiritual filling is the power that the Creator breathed into the human spiritual component, as the final stage of creating His image.
In union with the soul, the spirit raised it to a divine height above the non-human creature. Thanks to spiritual filling, a soulful person becomes spiritualized.
Since spiritual power came from God, it knows the Creator and seeks His presence in life.
A journey through the subtle world of the clairvoyant Guzel
Showed a picture
Like a cannonball (1812). Rotating and two tails (waves that set the core itself into rotational motion).
Then they showed what was inside. And there is such a spiral and two squares (black and white).
The squares are symbols, perhaps symbols of protons and neutrons.
If the squares are (conditionally) the same size, then everything is static, but if the volume (size) changes, then everything starts to move.
When I entered the core itself, I was thrown out somewhere, like into space, perhaps into microcosm. Everything is in such small “nuclei”; they, like stars, simply glow against the background of a very dark purple space.
There is no sense of depth or volume. Some special, inexplicable state.
Suddenly I take on human forms - I saw my arms (hands), but behind my back I very tightly felt the core from where I “flew out”, it was clearly with me, with me - this is important.
A spark flew to my hands and touched me, like the tail of a comet. And all the nuclei around lit up and vibrated. My hands transformed into the flaming tails of a “comet”. I started playing with them - they threw out plasma and fireworks. Only smoother and more controlled.
Then the whole body turned into fiery vibrating plasma. This is what our Angels look like. The thought came: little sun, such a body can be changed, given any shape.
This picture was shown when Guzel jumped into the 1 million aSphere. That is, we needed to do something with this information.
Matter is made up of molecules. Molecules are bonded atoms. And the atom itself is a set of energy particles of a certain polarity (magnetic charge) with a particular rotation speed.
Protons and neutrons rotate around themselves and create a curvature of space, like a whirlpool. And they form a mass (like a black hole).
The electron rotates around the nucleus and creates the conditions, together with the nucleus, for the formation of molecules.
When the energy of the carrier (human in our case) of atoms increases, it is necessary to change the quality of the atoms. Adapt them to new, higher frequencies. This process does not happen automatically—it requires a person’s intention to change their own atoms.
As energy increases, the speed of rotation of the electron around the nucleus increases. All other parameters remain the same. Such changes in the atom must be made in the 90 million, 170 million, and 500 million fractals.
There are 4 spirits: Holy Spirit, entity spirit, ghost spirit and human spirit
It's not easy with perfume either. In addition to figurative meanings (smell, atmosphere, etc.), there are several religious and esoteric cases when the word “spirit” is used:
The Holy Spirit is, simply put, the energy of God. One of the components of the trinity. It is as natural to the Almighty as light is to the Sun. But at the same time, she is endowed with personality. The Holy Spirit makes things relics, places shrines, and people miracle workers.
The Holy Spirit, who is often depicted in the form of a dove, is closely connected by a single nature with the human spirit, which is why they have the same names
Spirit-essence is various mystical creatures such as brownies, goblins, tengu, etc. The word "spirit" indicates that we are dealing with an immaterial being. Orthodoxy disapproves of such entities. The Holy Scriptures do not give direct reasons for this, but many priests identify any spirit with demons, and demons are called opponents of God. There are also alternative opinions.
A ghost spirit is, according to parapsychologists, the soul or energy of a person after death, which is alive. Christianity treats this issue with caution and tries to approach it in a streamlined manner. There are different views on the existence of ghosts.
The human spirit is precisely this category that is the subject of our article. This spirit is the part of man united with God, his immortal particle. “Stop,” the attentive reader will say. “Isn’t this the soul?” That's right, soul. More precisely, everything that we wrote about her earlier. And here we move on to the most difficult part.
In Christianity, the soul is viewed in the same way as an organ of feeling, cognition, thinking, and mind.
In addition to these interpretations, one can also see narrower interpretations in Christianity, our soul as an “organ” of feelings, sensations, impressions, moods, and mind. “My soul is weary, longing for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh delight in the living God,” Ps. 83:3, “Why are you discouraged, O my soul, and why are you troubled? Trust in God, for I will still praise Him, my Savior and my God,” Ps. 41:6.
The soul is considered as a necessary component of cognition and thinking. When attending divine services, we hear this in the words of Psalm 103: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all His benefits,” Ps. 102:2.
And finally, turning to the words of Scripture: “The righteous shall live by faith; But if anyone hesitates, My soul has no pleasure in him,” Heb. 10:38, we see that the concept of the soul is transferred to the Lord God himself.
Difference Between Soul and Spirit: Comparison and Definition
A person’s personality is holistic and consists of three main components - spirit, body and soul, which in turn show not only unity, but also interpenetration. In the holy book there is a clear division between spirit and soul, but at the same time this is considered one of the most important theological issues that remains closed to ordinary people. It is worth noting that even in Orthodox literature these concepts are often intertwined, which is why ambiguities and doubts subsequently arise.
Orthodoxy - soul and spirit
The soul is an immaterial human essence, the engine of life, which is closed in the body. It is with it that the body gains life and through it allows us to understand the world around us. If it is not there, then there is accordingly no life.
But as for the spirit, it represents the nature of man to its highest degree, which attracts and directs the personality to the Almighty. Very often believers say a prayer for help to the holy spirit. It is this nature that allows a person to become higher in the hierarchy than other living creatures.

Let's take a closer look at what the differences are between seemingly two similar concepts. What is the difference between spirit and soul?
The human immaterial essence is a kind of horizontal life vector that connects individuals with the world, feelings and the area of lust, the actions of which have several directions, namely:
thinking; wishing; feeling.

That is, this is everything that a person lives with - the emotions, thoughts, feelings experienced, as well as the emergence of a desire to achieve and strive for something, to make a choice between contradictory concepts. The highest human nature serves as a vertical guide, personifying the desire for the Lord, and its actions are exclusively directed only towards the higher things, that is, conscience, thirst and fear of the Lord.
It should be noted that by nature a person cannot have a higher nature that is capable of leaving and returning to him again, and its departure does not determine human death, but on the contrary revives the essence.
The essence of the human soul
An intangible entity is what hurts when there is no reason for the physical pain (i.e. the body is healthy), this usually happens when human desires occur despite the circumstances that have arisen. And the difference between the spirit and the soul is that it is not capable of perceiving such feelings.

One of the most sensual areas of life is considered to be the burden of sin. By obeying the body, the human essence can be desecrated by sin. The immaterial part perceives Divine beauty and influences the soul, helping it get closer to ideality, awakening a feeling of attraction to elegance, purifying thoughts and generating a desire for selflessness and atonement for great sins in Orthodoxy. In this case, the intangible part cannot be influenced by the essence.
The Lord is always with you!
Emerging Spirit Components
Whom a person worships and serves is his god. Christians, regardless of their level of development, know that everything in life is guided by the Creator.
Spiritual Filling Leads Christians to Hunger for God
He is the Judge and Savior, punisher and merciful; the symbol of the Christian faith is the Trinity, God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The fear of God is the main component of spiritual fulfillment.
You love power, money, fun parties, you do everything in anger, according to your own will and desire, which means you are not afraid of God, while your soul is controlled by satanic forces.
The guiding spiritual force is conscience, which makes a person fear the Lord, please Him in everything and follow His instructions. Conscience guides the spiritual qualities of Christians, directing them to the knowledge of holiness, grace and truth. Only through conscience can believers determine what is pleasing or contrary to the Lord.
Only those who have a living conscience can fulfill God's law. Spiritual fulfillment leads Christians to a thirst for God, when no creation of human hands can give that grace that a person acquires through communication with the Almighty in fasting, prayer and fulfillment of the Law.
